Property settings not working

I have several property tags in my JNLP file, but when I launch my application I get the following error:
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission stubMessage write)
for each property I've included in the JNLP file. Since the properties are not getting set, I then get an exception when trying to read the properties that should be set.
I'm using JWS 1.0.1 and a signed JAR file. This all works if I use all-permissions, but I do not want to use all permissions. In reading the JNLP spec, it seems that setting properties in the JNLP file should work without all-permissions. How do I pass properties without using all-permissions?

I noticed that in the new maintenance release there is a referene that :
In Java Web Start 1.0.1_02, the Java Network Launching Protocol (JNLP) will not allow use of any settings of the form <property name="NAME" value="VALUE"/> unless the "NAME" begins with "jnlp." or "javaws."

Xy graph active plot property settings not working

I set the xy graph plot properties manually and they appear to work. However, when I try to set them in the program they revert to the manual settings. What's going on?

I went to the graph and made plot legend visible and extended it from one plot to 3. That's all I did. Now it appears to be working properly. It's been a long while since I had to get really fancy with a graph but I don't remember having to do this. My memories of graph properties were that they were a little more dynamic.

Apple 10.4 managed clients dock settings not working

I have an issues with 3 or 4 of my 10.4 clients all are managed by WGM on an apple 10.5 server. The I have managed dock settings on all apple clients are getting the proper dock settings however I have 3 or 4 clients that are not. The clients that are not getting the dock settings are in the correct computer group. And I don't see any of the clients dedicated in the computer group. And suggestions or tips would be welcome help.

THAT WORKED and all is back to normal.
By the way I did not lose any of the icons on my dock either. All the apps light up under the icon and they now mimimize correctly!!

Try deleting com.apple.dock.plist from the preference folder located in your user Library.
You can open the hidden library in Finder's menubar, Finder > Go > hold the option key down > select Library.
Edit: you'll have to add back program icons to the dock that you moved there.

Compression settings not working on Premiere Pro CC

I am a freelance editor working for a satellite delivery company. They have specific settings they require for their uplink signals. These setting have worked great on CS5, CS6 and CC2014. However the company is now using CC and these settings create HUGE pixels and the file is unusable. Why do the same settings not work on CC?

Pda cursor position property does not work

Hi!
I have a problem with cursor positionX propery on PDA.
I use PDA Module 8.2 and Windows Mobile 5 OS on PocketPC.
Actually problem is only when I try to get value of two cursors, it return the same value for both cursors (you can test it with attached VI), but when I set values it work fine.
I have also worked with PDA Module 8.0.1 in past and I remember that get cursor position value worked, so I have no idea why it doesn't work in newer version.

Unfortunately I also see the same behavior on a PDA using this "active cursor" property. It appears to me that this property is not being written successfully. I say this because it appears that the value displayed is always from the most recently repositioned cursor rather than either the 0 or 1 which is set by the property node.
What I will do at this point is to file a corrective action request so that this behavior is corrected for a future release of the LabVIEW PDA module. I apologize for the inconvenience that this causes for your application. Please let me know if I can help at all as you modify your application to work around this behavior. Thanks,

Debayer Settings not Working??

Basically in the source settings for any .r3d file in Premiere, you can choose High, Medium, or Low for debayer. I've run tests using High vs Low, and the encode times are exactly the same. I'm assuming something is wrong?! If you use full vs any partial debayer in RedCineX, the full debayer always takes much longer to complete.
Also, another user posted that he sees no quality difference between selecting High vs Low debayer in Premiere.
Is this feature not working??

As it turns out, the Debayer Detail setting in CS5.5 is a subtle sharpening control which has little/nothing to do with debayer resolution:

The debayer quality is handled automatically.
This doesn't seem to be documented anywhere, just took me a few days to find (and still trying to find just how the automatic control works). Oh well, it's only been four months!

Property inspector not working correctly

The property inspector in CS3 is not working correctly. When
I select text or any other object the property inspector does not
change for that object. But when I right mouse click on the

Yes, me too. I can't find an answer to this anywhere.
If I right-click or double-click on an item the property
inspector shows it, but if I single click, nothing happens. It's
bad for productivity.

Event.hits property does not work at Adobe 9

I have just discovered that the property "event.hits" does not work at Adobe Reader 9 properly.
I have some JavaScript, which uses this property:
if (event.hits.length > 0)
var targetPos = event.hits[0].position;
Now, at Adobe Reader 9 the value of "event.hits[0].position" is not correct.
At Adobe 8 Standard this JavaScript works very well!
Can you comment this issue?

In this case the gold arrow (pointer) has a true location on the box.

File too large - attachment settings not working

Hi there
We are having problems with attaching files in IMS 5.2 & wondered if anybody can help.
Our outgoing mail message max size is set to 50MB (I know about the extra 33% space required for encoding) and yet we still cannot attach files to emails that are greater than 5MB.
Does anyone have any idea why this is not working?
Anytime we try to send a 7 or 8 MB file an error "File too large "comes up right away
The settings in the messaging server console is set to 50MB. This is under the HTTP service
There was a previous post but the solution did not solve my problem.
Can anyone help?

There are separate settings for webmail attaqchments. Please check documentation at:

and look at:
service.http.maxmessagesize
and
service.http.maxpostsize
these both default to 5 megs.
You have to restart the webmail daemon to make a change take effect.

WDJ - Right click- User settings , not working at all times

We are working on SAP Netweaver 7.4.
We have developed WDJ applications in PO server and are displaying the application in SAP EP using the remote iview method.
Our requirement: We need to show the users , right click ->User settings so that they can modify the view.
Steps taken: The allowuserpersonalisation has been set to True.
Issue:
Not all of the remote WDJ application are showing the User settings.
For e.g: If it is working for WDJ application A, it is not working for WDJ application B.
Here is where it gets more confusing !!!:
If role A contains WDJ application A and role B contains WDJ application B.
then:
1) if WDJ application B is assigned to the role A, then the User settings start working for it
2) if WDJ application A is assigned to the role B, then the User settings still work for it
3) if WDJ application B is assigned to the role C, then the User settings do not work.
Can anyone please help?

normal right mouseclick is disabled as of 710 I guess, I assume you mean the ctrl+alt+right mouse click, right?
Also , I am not sure I fully understand your A-B-C example. Can you please elaborate it in a less abstract way? Can you show concrete examples what is not working regarding the end-user personalization? Are all wd java applications running in a non-standalone way when you test end-user personalization?

Lightroom paste settings not working

I have noticed this problem in every edition of LR4. About 50% of the time right-click paste settings in develop module does not appear work.Typically this will happen when I have quickly selected a new image in the filmstrip and tried to paste settings while the image is still loading, or immediately after loading. I have noticed the following behaviour when trying to use right-click paste settings:
The lightroom taskbar processes to show that a task is working
Paste settings appears a new event in the history panel
The main image preview shows no change whatsoever
This happens regardless of what kind of settings are being pasted
Keyboard shortcut for paste settings work every time no problem
Using the 'Previous' button works fine
Here's the thing: when I hover the mouse over the paste settings event in the history panel, the image navigator thumbnail shows the image with the settings applied even though the main image appears not to have made any changes. I can click back one stage in the history and then click on the paste settings event and the main image updates. So for some reason, right-click paste settings is working but just not showing up on the main image. Any idea why, and how can this be fixed?
My settings: intel quad core, 8gb ram, Win7, brand new install (only lightroom 4.3 and windows running), cleared and replaced image previews.
[For what its worth, this and the many many other bugs in LR4 compared to the excellent LR3 make me wish I had never bought it - disappointing QC from Adobe in this product.]

You should install 4.4.1 update before anything else.

Beryl-settings not working

When I run 'beryl-settings' in a terminal I get the following error:

I think I found the problem xD , Shagbag outcomment your language in locales.conf int /etc/ , I found this file during a installation. No warranty , I haven't test it at the moment ( because I use a vmware install atm and cannot test it with beryl ) . Try it and post the result here

Autodiscover settings not working publicly

On https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com, the Exchange ActiveSync Autodiscover test Connectivity Test Successful with Warnings.
However on any smart phone or mobile device, the Exchange settings are not auto populating once I enter the username and password. I have to fill in the server address manually. Outlook autoconfigure works internally. Any reason why the public auto
discover does not work?

Please test Activesync autodiscover uisng https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/
