Prophet 12 sync issues "Pre-Lag" in Logic

Just added a Prophet 12 to my studio set-up... I record midi tracks from the Prophet into Logic, then once I get it dialed-in I record the audio into Logic.
However - the audio play back from the midi tracks to the Prophet starts early and records early, requiring me to move the recorded audio into place. On top of that I am getting some minor glitching on arpeggios on the Prophet - but this is less of a concern. I tried adjusting the timing compensation in Logic but this has had no effect. My Virus TI has the same issue, but not nearly as drastic. I am not using any midi interfaces - the Prophet, Virus, Analog 4 and Analog Rytm are all usb'ed into the computer. I have no timing issues with the Analog 4 or Analog Rytm. I also have midi thrus going out to my Machinedrum and Monomachine from the Analog 4 and Analog Rytm using standard midi cables and have no issues with their timing either - all is dead-on, no lagging or pre-lagging. The only real problem is the Prophet, and a little with the Virus. Any help would be wonderful
-Steve

I have to say the fact that the Audio 'pre lags...' is very strange indeed and I cannot think of why else this might be happening....
The fact it drifts too.. is very odd indeed....
My initial guess if it wasn't an Inspector setting... was its going to be something to do with your Audio Interface.. But the fact it only affects certain devices adds to my confusion and kind of rules out the audio interface itself otherwise it would affect everything.
That leaves an internal setting in Logic.. or your USB.. or the device itself... and I would have bet on it being a Logic Setting.. or some oddity to do with a Midi Interface... but you have checked everything I can think of that could could this.. and you are not using a Midi interface.. and you are not syncing to anything externally.... (You are not are you?) so I'm frankly, stumped!
I wonder assuming Pancenter has no further suggestions.... if someone like David, Erik or Jordi over on LPH.. might have a few ideas....

Might be worth a shot......

  • Syncing issue- Pre/Outlook/Palm desktop 4.0

    smkranz
I am a volunteer, and not an HP employee.
Palm OS ∙ webOS ∙ Android

I had an identical experience when I first got my handheld - the palm software wouldn't install on my iMac properly - the same error came up every time, and while it had successfully installed the desktop, hotsync manager was sadly missing. I spent hours playing with it to no avail, and the only solution I found was using it on my macbook running 10.5x (as opposed to 10.2.8). However, the date on the installer (2002) reflects the last time it was updated, which means that it should run with no difficulty on any machine since then. The .sit compression has nothing to do with it - it is one of the most common compression formats for the macintosh platform. It might help if you posted the exact error message you got, but a fairly common fix is to repair disk permissions for your hard drive in disk utility.
    Hope this helps

  • Internal Logic sync issue

    hello Community:
I'm stuck in writing limbo now , due to a bizarre and never before seen  problem in Logic 9.1.4
a Sync or internal timing issue.....for no reason of my doing, this is what occurs:
    1. Using my same Autoload setup used for years, and am simply sequencing MIDI and audio
    2. When i record AUDIO at bar 1, then try to LOCK it and SAVE (command-S) the file region vanishes
and ends up placed at the END of my entire autoload sequence- bar 1749 ..... what the $%^ ?
    3. the transport position indicator for the region reads "????"
    4. MIDI does the same and opening the MIDI region shows that all note informaiton is placed at the same bar (in this case bar 7)
    5. if i UNDO this operation, then regions reappear correctly at Bar 1, but i cannot LOCK any regions without this sync issue
There are NO tempo changes programmed in thi sequence- eveything including signature are same.
I have done nothing to change any setting in preferences, project setting or otherwise
this has never happened in the 14 years I've been working on Logic.....dunno
    Your URGENT help appreciated!!!

    Hey again Pan:
am still having this annoying issue of vanishing Audio regions in my Logic sequence
checked on your above Prefs setting and all is fine
When i record an audio track and try to SAVE and LOCK it - it jumps to the end of my entire bar sequence
if i UNDO this operaiton it returns, but i can only save the sequence with all unlocked regions...
not useful as I do primarlly scoring use for picture.
    any other suggestions
I'm running Presonus Firestudio interfaces outboard, but not sure if this wouls screw things up
    ANy help again great
    cheers

  • Syncing issues with Logic and Akai MPC 1000

I followed the directions in the manual and even some advice on another forum related to MPC's, but I still keep having problems whether I sync as Logic being Master or Slave.
When I sync Logic as Master the Tracks are kept in time with each other but they are not syncing to the grid in Logic right. It's a little off even though I set a few blank bars at the beginning of the sequence I wanted to record, and set the the tempo in Logic to the exact same tempo on the MPC. When I go to copy and paste certain bars while arranging it's always off cause the tracks are not in time with the bars in the arrange window. I want the tracks to be in time with the grid so it is much easier to copy, paste and arrange.
When I try to sync Logic as Slave...I can't even get it to work at all. The transport location just seems to jog in place. The last digits in the transport just keeps repeating themselves but no others, and there is no movement of the play head. It's just stuck. I don't know why it's doing that. When I try to sync Logic as slave I make sure the MPC is NOT in slave mode whatsoever, and that Logic isn't sending (as far as I know) any Master info to the MPC, so I really don't understand why it locks up.
I'd really appreciate help in getting this sorted out as soon as possible.

Ok, so I checked the SMPTE offset. I switched it so it will start at 00:00:00:00 or what have you. Good news is that the play head is no longer stuck. The first time I tried this I got an error message saying "System Overload. The Audio Engine was not able to process all required data in time. (-10011)" after about 8-10 bars of recording.
Next time I tried this I did I stereo pass of one track and it worked perfect. It recorded the whole sequence and the sync was perfect. It was only that one time. Now I can't even get the empty initial bars to go through without getting that error.
What is happening with this? I should have a powerful enough computer. I have a 2.2 ghz Intel core 2 duo Macbook pro, 2 gigs of ram, os 10.4.11

  • Video Sync Issue, a tough one to solve.  Good Luck!

    Hello all,
This is a big one. Props to anyone that can tackle this.
I'm going to lay out our specs, then our issue.
    SPECS
    Writing Computer (master):
Dual 2.5 G5, 2.5 gb RAM, running Logic Pro 7.2, Tiger OS 10.4.5
    Motu 24 i/o (2 of them)
    Unitor8 Midi Interface
    Big Ben Clocking
    Maxtor 7200 RPM 300gb firewire 400 external drives (2)
    Video Computer (slave):
Dual 1.25 G4, 2 gb RAM, running Pro Tools LE 6.9, Panther OS 10.3.9, Quicktime Version 7.0.4
    Digi 002
Maxtor 7200 RPM 300gb firewire 400 external drive (with PT sessions and Quicktime Videos on it)
Aurora Fuse-X Video Card running S-Video out to a TV (to view picture on a larger screen)
    ISSUE
Logic sends Midi Machine Control and Midi Time Code to the Pro Tools Digi 002, so that a Logic session with specific time code will play the video in the appropriate location on the Pro Tools computer. We've tried this two ways. Directly out of the Unitor8 into the Digi 002's Midi In Port. Then we tried going out of the Unitor8 and into a Midi Sport 2x2, then USB from the Midi Sport into the Video Computer. The Midi Sport way offered a bit of help, but not much.
    Here's what happens:
After putting the session for any given reel of video into "Sync", video will lock with Logic for about 4 or 5 passes. Then video in Pro Tools will start to stutter, not lock up right away. It gets progressively worse. The stuttering eventually turns to non-compliance with Logic all together. When the stuttering begins, the "Sync", "Play", and "Stop" buttons flash intermittently, blue, then gray, then blue. It's as if it's being sent Midi information to play, go into sync, and stop, all at the same time.
Strangely, if we close the session, reopen it, put it in to sync, and move the playbar in Logic and play from Logic, it will work again, for about 4 or 5 passes.
    Very frustrating.
We run a similar system in the next room. The writing computer is the same, but the Pro Tools Video computer runs a TDM system on the exact same dual 1.25 G4. On the TDM system, the video runs perfectly. Always in sync, never stuttering.
What causes this issue on the LE system? I don't think DV Toolkit would help, but we've thought about it. Someone else suggested an Avid Mojo. Is there any way to make this setup work with the equipment we currently have? Changing the video type maybe?
    We normally use/request Motion J-PEG A files.
Is there a preference I'm missing somewhere? Something I'm overlooking?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!
    Sincerely,
    The Earle-Tones Music crew

    Hey Shwartz,
We run video on a separate computer with Pro Tools for a few reasons. One of them being it takes some of the processing load off of Logic, inducing less problems within the program for us. Another reason is that we can record demos directly into Pro Tools with video, so that we can screen them for clients all from the Pro Tools rig. Good for Pre Records too, many reasons.
    To answer your questions...
    1. It is the Pro Tools transport that is stuttering. Logic runs fine. The Pro Tools rig stutters and does the blue gray thing. The Pro Tools rig is receiving Midi Machine Control and Midi Time Code.
    2. In Logic/Prefs/Midi/Sync under "Transmit Locate Commands When..."
    "Pressing Stop Twice" is checked
    "Dragging Objects" is checked
"Transmit Record Enable Commands For Audio Tracks" is NOT checked
    3. I'll see if I can make this work, but they are quite a distance appart (through some sound booths etc...). I don't think it's the Logic computer, but it's worth a shot!
The only variable I see different is an LE Rig compared to a TDM Rig.
I'll let you know if I can find a gigantor midi cable to test it.
    Any other ideas?

  • 4.6 Deskto Sync Issues

I am having a lot of issues syncing with Blackberry devices with the new 4.6 software and the same issue is present with 4.5 software as well.
I work for a business that owns multiple Blackberry phones in which we develop software for those phones.  They are all out of the box retail with nothing done to the OS.  I have never had issues syncing the phones with my computers before the newest versions of the desktop software became available.
I have had this exact issue on both of my computers that I use at work so it is most likely not related to the laptops (one is IBM and one is Dell). Essentially, I can sync a device to my pc using the 4.6 software and everything works correctly (well, some applications refuse to uninsall for some reason).  Then randomly after unplugging the device and attempting another sync with the same device I can no longer sync.  I select Options and then Connection Options and I am presented with None or USB as my choices.  I can not hook up any other BB device of a different model and have it sync either.
If I kill the processes for the BB desktop software and restart it I still can not sync.  The only way I can get phones to sync again using the 4.5/4.6 software is by rebooting.  Then I get another random amount of syncs with one or multiple phones before it simply stops working again.
I can install an older version of the desktop software (4.2 or 4.3) and I have no issues with syncing at all.  However, since I am using newer phones and installing new apps I get the problem of not being able to use the desktop installer for applications because I will get the very common "no devices found" error when attempting to install (not sure why you guys have not fixed that yet for new devices...it's very annoying since your desktop software lags behind quite a bit).
I assume I am not the only person who is having this issue since I am having it on multiple computers with multiple phones.
Thank you in advance for any assistance

    Thank you!
OS - PC:  WinXP on both and Service Pack 2 on the IBM and SP3 on the Dell
OS - Phones:  Ranges from 4.2 to 4.6.  I typically use 81xx, 83xx, 88xx and 9000 Bold and up phones but sometimes the 8700/7100 series too.  If you want real specific I have 8100, 8120, 8130, 8300, 8310, 8330, 8800, 8820, 8830 and 9000 (from the UK).  I can't divulge any other phones but I think that is enough.
Sync - I mean syncing phone to computer.  Not email.  I have described this in my OP so no need to get more detailed than that
Switching versions - If by clean you mean uninstalled the old version and installed the new one then yes, I did that on the IBM.  I started out with 4.6 on the new Dell and then regressed back to 4.2 desktop manager and then back up to 4.6 desktop manager.  On the IBM I have had pretty much every version of the Desktop manager installed and the only versions that gives me sync issues is 4.5 and 4.6.
    Phones - Listed above
I see from your sig that this is a community forum.  Hopefully you guys can help me and if not I'll need to contact RIM.

  • Audio Sync Issues Rendering Non-Standard FPS Sources

I am using Premiere Pro to render clips taken with my Samsung Galaxy S3 which shoots Hi Def 1080p (1920x1080).  The problem is that it is not precise with respect to fps.  It shoots somewhere between 29.85 and 30 fps.  When I play the video on VLC or WMP, it plays back fine; however, when import the video into Premiere, a video of 6 minutes or so has a lag (or advance, as the case may be) of up to a full second or more with repect to the audio track by the end of the video.  Since neither track grows or shrinks and the sync issue is progressive as the video progresses, it is not a simple matter of moving the audio up or down in the timeline or changing the speed of the video.
How does one properly use video that is not a standard frame rate?  Surely this is a common problem with a simple solution that I am not aware of.  Please help!

How does one properly use video that is not a standard frame rate?
You don't.  You shoot video with a video camera that records to any of the standardized formats PP is capable of working with.

  • AME CS6 Audio Sync Issue

I was recently in the process of mass converting all of the old video podcasts I help produce from an old m4v format to a newer mp4 format. Both formats are essentially the same (H.264 & AAC audio), but they vary slightly in frame size and bitrate. The difference is that the the old format was the standard for Apple's earlier devices (such as the original Apple TV), and the new format is used for Apple's later devices, as well as Android devices, and is generally more user friendly.
At any rate, I created a Watch Folder to accomplish this, and let it run overnight. Came in this morning to find that the audio was not in sync with the video on the vast majority of the files. I created my own preset, but while I was attempting to solve the problem, I discovered my preset was exactly the same as the Apple presets.
I've tried several different Apple presets, taking the watch folder out of the situation, and playing the files back in different players (Win Media, QuickTime, and VLC). Doesn't matter what I do, nearly all files with audio/video sync issues ranging from a few frames to several seconds. The only way I've found to stop the sync issue is to put the old file on a Premiere Pro timeline and exporting that sequence. But obviously that ruins the whole purpose of Watch Folders.
Anyone happen to have a similar issue and/or have found a solution?
    Specs:
    Windows 7 Pro x64
    Adobe Media Encoder CS6 v6.0.1.31
    AMD FX-8120

I do agree it is the wrong way to go about it, but all of the original projects are FCP 6 projects, and the media has either gone missing, no longer linked correctly to the project, or on DV tape somewhere. On top of this, I no longer have Final Cut installed, and my manager for whatever reason decided not to save DV deck or two when we migrated to XDCAM EX. Premiere Pro does have an FCP XML import feature, but it rarely works perfectly, so even if I did manage to find all the media, I'd have to spend hours correcting the timeline. Essentially more work than it is worth.
BUT, I accomplished exactly what I wanted to do with Handbrake. Does it look bad? Yes, but most people will be watching it on their 4" phone screens anyway.
Regardless, I may have found a bug that should probably be corrected... I'll submit a bug report on the pre-release forums if 6.0.2 doesn't fix it.

  • Audio Slipping (Sync issues) steaming video.

    Hey all,
I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else.
Since updating to Yosemite i've noticed a real problem when streaming video online through my web browser.
Regularly whilst watching a video there is a crackle on the audio track, then a second of the audio is repeated almost like an echo.
When this happens however the video caries on meaning the audio and video are out of sync.
This occurs on everything from Netflix, Youtube, DA Clips and other video sharing sites.
It occurs on Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
The only way to fix the problem and re-sync the audio is to reload the page with the video and begin again.
Unsure whether this is related or not but i've also noticed some slipping of audio when playing music in spotify. But obviously because it has nothing to sync up to you just hear the same word twice and it carries on, kinda like a scratch on an LP.
Would really appreciate any words of wisdom.
    I'm currently running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
    Macbook 13inch late 2009 model
    2.26 processor
    4GB Memory
    Many thanks
    josh

In case anyone comes across this in the future, I've resolved my issue, and it had nothing to do with audio bit rates. In short, there seems to be a well-documented yet unfixed but in which an export from iMovie can lose sync if there are either slow-motion effects applied to a clip, or if the slow-motion speed is custom rather than pre-set by the software.
I changed my clips to 100% and everything exported fine, with no sync issues. For more on this, see the helpful thread here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10618532#10618532

  • Sync issues with Thunderbolt drives

I'm checking to see if there are any sync issues with Mac Book Pros pre-Retina screen.
I have a (13-inch, Mid 2012)  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Mac Book Pro and I'm having some sync/latency issues with a number of audio interfaces, including a Symphony I/O and a MBox Mini 2.
I'm editing with Final Cut Pro 7.  Mavericks OS 10.9.5.  It's also happening with QT 10.3.
I'm using a Thunderbridge with the Symphony I/O and the USB port for the MBox Mini 2, but it has the same issue.  I'm trying to get the registration number for my Pro App version of QT 7 because QT 10 is having some issues with a few arcane video formats.  Is that possible?  I can't retrieve the email because the computer that might have it is long dead, and buried in storage.
    configuration:
    Mac Book Pro to
G RAID Studio (via Thunderbolt) to
    (Apogee Symphony I/O Thunderbridge)
1080P monitor (via Belkin Mini Display port to HDMI cable)
    or MBox mini via USB
Both of these setups have sync issues.  I have rigged a 1/8" stereo plug out of the headphone output and except for the occasional deafening buzz when you touch the adapter, it works okay, with no seeming sync issues.
Is this a thing?  I understand that there is an issue with Symphony I/Os and certain Haswell Mac USB 3.0 ports.

    Hi,
Yes, I apologize. The video editor wasn't giving me any details. I did see the 44.1/48khz issue online. So will this happen only if both are mixed in the same timeline?
    Thanks

  • FCP audio sync issue, attempts at fix result in dodgy files - help!

    Hello,
I have some Sony EX1 footage here in which 20 out of 500 QT files FCP will play the audio out of sync by either 14 or 19 frames (picture lags) - when shooting no changes were made to settings which were as follows:
    1080/25P HQ 16-bit 48Khz
weird thing #1: only FCP will exhibit the out of sync problem, QT or even quickview in the OS X finder will play them back fine ...
weird thing #2: once I export the footage without re-syncing it it will then play fine again in QT/finder and will sync fine in FCP - yay! - no... it will beach ball and/or lag/crash FCP/QT/finder once I attempt any sort of movement/scrubbing in any of the timelines
attempting to work with the original un-synced footage and unlinking the audio (and correctly syncing it) as a workaround has failed as whenever I put on any video effect/transition or whatever the effected part will sync correctly and my smarty pants re-sync therefore makes it out of sync again ! arrrrgh!
Basically, anytime I effect or export it the sync issue goes away, but I am left with crashy/corrupted files ...
    Any suggestions ?

    hillr wrote:
the audio clip is the same length as the video clip. it is not a matter of moving the audio over to sync it up. the audio falls behind by the time it gets to the end. it is just fine at the start of the video and out of sync at the end. If I would sync up the end then the front will be out of sync. All I did is capture the footage from my deck to FCP and then placed it in the time line.
    Russell
This is not correct but it's easy to arrive at that conclusion. The two clips aree not the same length by your definition: *the audio falls behind by the time it gets to the end*
Mark the place where the audio ends, mark the place where the video ends. They are different and that difference is a simple matter of subtracting one timecode location form the other. This means the audio was shot at a different sampling rate than that with which it was captured. I do not know anything about the DSR400 camera or your deck, my Sonys are different, but you should be able to ascertain the sampling rate of the audio by checking the data display. If, indeed, it's 48k, you have sent the audio to a separate folder than the video and your disk cannot keep up. But that sync difference is not absolute so it's going to be different each time you play it back.

  • Audio Sync issues Premiere CC and AJA T-AP

I need to get the audio sync issues resolved in Premiere. Using CC with an AJA T-tap. I downloaded and installed latest firmware and drivers, and plug-ins. Audio is playing back through Mac Pro line output. When the T-tap is turned off the audio plays in sync with the video on the computer screen. When I turn on T-tap and give it a 200 ms offset, it plays back in sync with my external monitor, but the computer screen is out of sync. If I skip around in the sequence quickly and press the playback, sometimes the monitor is out of sync. I need my audio and video to be in sync on all screens all the time. How do I resolve this issue?
    Thanks, Scott

    Hi team!
    cc: petergaraway
Wondering if anyone has any updates on the Premiere CC v AJA T-Tap situation?
I just bought an AJA to go with our new trash can iMac, which has been beasted out so it shouldn't have any performance issues. I have two thunderbolt displays for the edit and a Samsung LED TV on the wall for client monitoring. There is a 10m HDMI cable running to get to the TV, through walls and ceiling, which I just replaced to a cable with a booster in the middle because I thought that distance might be the first cause of the lag.
I guesstimate we are anywhere between 6-12 frames out at times. Also, the vision seems to be buffering, and thus at times jolts on the screen as it tries to catch up (or back) to the audio.
Audio is coming out through the Headphones jack on the mac to a small Behringer mixer, where I have monitor speakers for the edit and then wall speakers for the client. So I have been keeping the Audio output to the Adobe Desktop Audio. If I select AJA T-Tap it sends the audio straight to the TV, even despite going back into the system settings.
In Preferences > Playback, the AJA settings are to Match Sequence and Minimum Buffer. Playing with the m/s frame offsets doesn't seem to make any progress on the issue. And infact if I push it to 500m/s it only worsens the buffering problem I described above.
I went into the AJA control panel and have made sure everything is set to 1080p25 as our timelines will invariably always be 25fps (Australia).
But right now I am pretty stuck, and think our slight sync issue was better before I introduced the AJA T-Tap to our system, when we ran the HDMI straight out of the back of the Mac. Only problem now is I put the HDMI back there and I don't get a signal to the tv!
Would love any other thoughts or suggestions here.
    Mike.

  • Sync Issues (Audio / Video)

Like many others, apparently, I've spent untold hours putting together a ~50 minute project in iMovie '09, only to find that after exporting to iDVD, I lose sync. It's frustrating, but I've seen from this and other forums that it happens, and is related to using source material that is not 16 bit audio. In this case, my sources include horrible camera phone video, some video out of point and shoot still cameras, decent DV footage, and some high def out of a Canon 5D Mark II. So fair enough, but some questions about how to get out of this jam :
    1. If I go through the clips in the project and look at them in Finder, or QT, or VLC, I can sometimes tell whether they are 16 bit, 8 bit, or whatever. But sometimes it just doesn't say. So I'd be grateful to learn how to tell for sure.
    2. Once I've figured out which clips are not 16 bit, how can I make them so? Can I open those clips in QuickTime or VLC, for example, and export them out in another format that will not cause the audio sync issue? Is Garage Band of any help here?
    3. Once I've turned everything into 16 bit audio, will it be sufficient to replace the offending events in the Event Library and then in the Project, or is that Project now irretrievably tainted with the other audio forms?
    4. Is there a better way than what I'm suggesting in 2 and 3, above? For example, can/should I copy parts of the project into new projects, export them out in certain formats (which ones?) and then try to reassemble those exports into yet another new project in iMovie?
    5. I do not have iMovie '06, and do not have access to it. But if I did, what would I do with it to make this better?
I do have Final Cut Express, but I don't really have the stomach (or more importantly, the time) for rebuilding this project from scratch. But if you tell me that's the only way out, I guess I'd do it.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

  • Pixelation and intermittent audio sync issues

I just had FiOS installed about 2 weeks ago.  Our master bedroom is having intermittent issues where audio/video do not sync up, and my bedroom has pixellation issues where things appear blocky.  This is more prevalent during high-motion scenes.  Internet speeds can also get spiky as well at times.  We had a Vz tech come out, but of course he could ot find any problems with signal strength, etc.  My only thoughts are that it is either the number of splitters on the line, or the rating on some of the splitters.
There is one 2-way splitter that is rated 5-1200 MHz between the router and the wall.  The other end goes to a television.  There is one 2-way splitter that is rated 5-1200 MHz outside by the ONT.  There are two 4-way splitters in the basement that are both rated as 5-1000 MHz.  Could the amount or rating of the splitters be what is causing my connectivity and image quality issues?

    Hi team!

    Mike.

  • Audio channels sync issue

    Hello,
I am recently having an issue with audio playback in FCP. We use FCP for student projects and use the video and audio out for live broadcasts. Lately when playing a sequence the various audio channels a1, a2, etc get out of sync from each other....very distracting....so when playing a song for example the left channel will lag by a second or more. This is replicated to varying degrees with all the channels. My audio is all 48k 16 bit sampled. I thought it might be related to an aging external drive but even when i play everything from the start up drive it still happens. Could this be related to where i set my scratch disk? I am stumped and frustrated.
    thanks

I am having the same issues on tow separate machines (MBP 17 inch and dual quad MP). Audio on left and right channels are out of sync and "trailing" somewhat random along with the video. Every-time I start playback sync starts to get worse. I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of this behavior:
    Relinking media files
    trashing renders
    Trashing preferences
    Reinstalling FinalcutStudio 2
    Reinstalling OS X
My sync issues are so severe that I can only work in mono. There is also no way to print to tape (DV and HDV) as FCP is skipping frames. Not sure how to attack this problem.
I would appreciate if Apple would look into this (hint) , I would be more then willing in helping to solve this with some screen captures of this bizarre behaviour.
