Proportionate consolidation customizing issue

Hello,
In order to do the customizing tasks of the proportinate consolidation,
we have followed the help steps of "Customizing for Proportionate
Consolidation (Standard Delivery) / Payables-Receivables Elim.; Minimum
Procedure (1) (Task 7612)"
And we found a customizing issue in the fast entry of the estep 002 of
the method 76120.
We can not add the "Trading partner" in the condition area.
We have check out the customizing of the related layout and it looks right.
How can we add this characteristic? What do I have to change to add it?
Regards.

Hi DAvid, I'm sending you my thread with the answers I've got if you are interested.
(DId not find a way to attach a link so I am sending the text).
Have a nice day,

   Proportionate consolidation
Posted: Jul 23, 2008 2:28 PM           Reply
Hello all,
I would like to know if someone uses the new functionality of proportionate consolidation.
I need to use the proportionate consolidation for some companies that are held by 50%.
I studied the SAP solutions and found out that before SEM ver. 6 there were 2 reclassifications: one that cuts off 50% of the amounts of proportionately consolidated company and the second one checks every I/C item that uses a proportionately consolidated company as a Trading partner and reclassifies 50% to predefined item (third parties). So, when you execute I/U Elimination, there are only 50% at each side and they are fully eliminated.
Simple example:
Company 1000 - fully consolidated
Company 1300 - proportionately consolidated
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 1,000 USD
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (1,000) USD
After first reclass. :
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (500) USD
Clearing item for proportionate consolidation (balance sheet) (500) USD
After second reclass.:
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 500 USD
Third parties receivables 500 USD
Before I/U Elimination:
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (500) USD
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 500 USD
After I/U Elimination:
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (0) USD
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 0 USD
The innovation that SAP suggests nowadays is a new Application for Document types that you use for the first reclassification (Reclassification: Apportionment of standardized financial data )based on statistical items that determine the holdings share. Afterwards you execute the I/U Elimination and after it you execute reclass (Reclassifications: Two-sided eliminations)
I don't see an advantage* of using this new solution in a case there is 50% holding share. I think that the first solution was more simple. The new solution can easily deal with percentage share other than 50% (for example, in case there is 60% proportionate consolidation). If there is 50% you need to update the statistical items.
Does anyone think differently? Did someone implemented the proportionate consolidation?
I would appreciate to get any kind of advice.
Sorry for the long thread.
Best regards,
Lilia

Hello Lilia
I appreciate Lilia for posting challenging question , which hardly happens in this forum.
Although I used purchase method, I havenu2019t had opportunity to use proportionate consolidation method (as there was no need in all of my projects). However after going through the new stuff available in SEM 6.0, I think you are right in your conclusions (....earlier reclassifications more simpler and suitable when proportionate share is 50%....)
New innovative way seems to be more technically advanced (unlike in earlier versions proportionate share is maintained at customization level) as it makes use of document type and statistical items to record initial proportionate share as well as subsequent changes.
By the way which version do you use?

the main difference or advantage is that oen consolidation unit could be proportionally consolidated in several groups and method changes are allowed. Beside that, the new consolidation is quite complex.
CU are porportionally consolidated and fully eliminated (afterwards other reclassification correct that effect).
The old recl. workaround was useful only if a CU was proportioanlly consolidated only once.
I am trying to use this new feature (I have follow exactly the standar delivery example but still have problems).
I hope you find this useful.

  • Proportionate consolidation advise

    Hello experts,
Can anybody give me some advise to implement the porportionate consolidation with BCS?
Do I have to implement all the methods and task indicated on the sap help?
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/44/8ea67092113abfe10000000a155369/content.htm
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Eugene,
I did not undertand why we have to activate the content.
According to the sap note: "Note: When you activate the content in a client, any existing SEM-BCS settings are overwritten"
If we applay the note all the current customizing will be eliminated. We have a new requeriment but we don´t want to eliminate all the actual customizing.
Can you explain it better?? If we need the proportionate consolidation, do we need to apply the note compulsory??
We have 602 sem-bw version, will be neccesary apply the note with this version??
Regards and thank you for your quick response.

  • Proportionate Consolidation

    Hi,
I am using BPC for financial consolidation and I need to do proportionate consolidation for one entity, say Entity J.  What this means is that Entity J is owned 50% by the parent.  During the consolidation process, Entity J will upload its full trial balance into BPC but the parent will only aggregate 50% of Entity J's trial balance to the parent entity.
Is aggregating only the proportionate percentage owned of an entity to its parent automatically done in BPC?

  • Step Acquisition in Proportionate Consolidation

    Hi Friends,
I am in the process of configuring Proportionate Consolidation. I have configured the reclassification method-76110 with task 7611 (Adjustment to standardized Financial data) as suggested by Standard SAP. But I haven't configured the Methods &  tasks of tasks 7628 (Adjustment to statistical Items) and 7627 (Adjustment to equity and Minority Interest Items) as I am not sure about their requirement in proportionate consolidation.
My concern here is how to take it up step holdings in subsequent consolidations as we have have taken a 100% proportion for first consolidation in elimination of Investment and equity.
    Example:-
    Holding Company Code : 1000
Joint venture Company Code : 5013
    % of Holding: 70%
Through Reclassification task 7611, I have eliminated 30% balances and remaining 70% balances taken for consolidation. So I have taken % of holding as 100% in Additional Financial data with balances of 70% equity.
Next consolidation period My % of holding will be changing from 70 % to 80% due to step acquisition of 10% in same Joint Venture-5013.
Since in my First consolidation I have taken % of holding as 100% in my additional financial data, my concern here is how to proceed for elimination of this 10% holding.
Process Steps followed for Proportionate consolidation
    1. Data Collection
    2. Addfin Data for Investment with % of holding 100% and equity value (Proportionate) but % = 100%
    3. Reclssification of standardised Fins data
    4.Consolidation of investment
    Thanks in Advance
    VNK

Instead of taking proportionate equity input 100% and using reclassification function and quantity postings, adjust the % changes in the subsequent consolidation...

  • Consolidated Customer Invoice

    Hi Dina,
My client's requirement is to generate AR invoices such that all projects belonging to one customer be grouped as a single consolidated invoice with lines representing each project and its corresponding amount. We are on 11.5.10.2.
I have this solution in mind:
Let's say we have 5 customers and 15 projects shared across them.
I would run the invoice generation process for all projects and then run 'Interface Invoices to Receivables' to move the invoices to AR Interface tables.
I would now customize the 'Auto Invoice Import Program' such that it creates only 5 invoices (one for each customer). Each invoice created will have lines such that one line represents the project and its corresponding amount specific to the cusotmer.
Please advise if this solution would work and also let me know if there will be any implications on the 'Tieback Invoices from Receivables' process.
    Thanks,
    Chandu

    Hi
    Your understanding is correct.
You may want to review the AR user guide for further details. Here is the quated text from the User Guide.
    Imported Billing Number_
The Imported Billing Number feature provides you with an alternative way to group
your imported invoices at the site level for consolidated presentation of billing. You
supply the value for the billing number and then create your own custom consolidated
    bill formats.
AutoInvoice has been enhanced to accept the billing number when you use this
alternative method. You can use existing receipt application functionality which allows
you to match your customer to their payments using this billing number.
When the Imported Billing Number feature is activated, AutoInvoice validates all of the
invoices imported under a single bill. For all invoices grouped under one bill,
AutoInvoice checks each invoice to ensure that:
    • all invoices have the same customer bill-to address. (If any single invoice from the
group fails the validation, then all of the invoices belonging to this bill will be
    rejected.)
    • the Imported Billing Number is unique for the given operating unit.
To use the Imported Billing Number feature:
    1. Set up the customer profile to enable Balance Forward Billing. Select Imported as the format.
Important: The Imported format is available only if you select site as the Bill Level.
    2. Run AutoInvoice to populate the CONS_BILLING_NUMBER column in the RA_INTERFACE_LINES table.
Note: This lets you group invoices under one bill even if the invoices have different payment terms, receipt methods, payment
details, PO numbers, or invoicing rules, as long as they are all addressed to the same customer bill-to address.
    3. Generate custom invoices.

  • Batch Management - Customizing Issue

    All
I am facing some issue in customizing. Batch level is client.
When try to configure SLED check via OMJ5, i am not able to see the plant which i had created recently. Did i miss any config step which was required to be done before this.
    Regards
    TOM

    Hi,
Check in SPRO > MM > Inventory Management and Physical Inventory > Plant Parameters > here your Plant exists or not? If not then maintain it first and then check in OMJ5
To maintain Plant parameters, copy it from the Plant 0001 to your Plant.
Note: - It happens generally if you don't copy Plant, when you create it manually. SAP suggests to copy Plant from the existing one or from SAP standard Plant.

  • Duplicate Customer Issue?

    Hi Friends,
I have a customer (xyz) whose account group  is End Customer, now this xyz customer has been replaced by a external customer(abc) . In xyz master data in search field 2 we have added a functionality (MC:"abc"), so what MC: does is gives up the pop up messege saying xyz has a new customer "abc".
Now the requirement is when we create a sales order and add xyz as the end customer, it should automatically gives the pop saying xyz has a new customer "abc" created, it give the sales people option to replace xyz with abc, just like an error messege or a warning messege, here i tried blocking xyz by giving the blocking reason in customer master but when i add xyz as an end customer it doesn't give any warning, i think we can block only sold to/shitp to/payer but not the end customer,
I would appreciate if somebody could advise how to block the end customer or atleast can we do any configuration settings anywhere in IMG so that it gives the warning messege for end customer.
    thanks in advance.

I would recommend for you to do a factory reset on the device to get this issue resolved. Here are the steps below. Be sure to back up your contacts and remove your sd card before performing the reset.
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
    Touch Settings.
    Touch Privacy.
    Touch Factory Data Reset.
    Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
    Touch Erase Everything.

The call fails because every CRM entry has to have a unique username. If you change the username from "test-3" to something else the first call will go through, the CRM record will be created and subsequest calls will fial until you change the username to something else.

does anybody know the solution? thanks!
    best regards

    Hi Eric
You nay have to set the item category determination properly.
Fileds are you chould have an entry which should be something like this
    Trans type -
Item cat group---The item cat that has to appear in your doc.
    for example:
    TA -
    Standard Group-----TAN
The Item category group field is in the one you have given in your material master.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Workflow customizing issue

    Hi Experts,
I am fresher on workflow. I wanted to develop as workflow scenaria, That when I create a material Number through transactio MM01 then system send an email with created material Number to any given email id.
I think we need to do a customizing so that workflow can trigger using standard transaction like MM01. But I don't know how. Please give detailed answer.

    Hi Anutosh,
    Perform the following steps:
    1. Go to t-code SWDD and create new workflow template. Add a workflow container element of BO type BUS1001006.
    2. Go to Basic Data (cap sign button at the top of the screen) or click Ctrl + F8
    3. Go to Start Events tab.
    4. In the Object type enter your BO name BUS1001006 in Event of object enter the BO event CREATED.
    5. Click on 'B' i.e. Binding Defined, click on generate automatic binding. It would automatically generate the appropriate binding for the workflow.
    6. Click on 'A' to Activate the binding and start condition.
    7. Add a 'Send Mail' step in the workflow and set the Reciever as the desired email ID.
    8. In the text of the mail use 'Expressions' to insert the Materail Number.
    9. Save the changes made and activate your workflow.
    Hope this helps!

  • Apple should start to listen to customer issues with disappearing content.

There are many threads with users experiencing missing downloads of tv shows. There is clearly something going on apples side here and really disappointed that no one has come forward and stated that we are aware of an issue and hope to have it fixed asap. Considering how many people purchase products for apple tv the response should by apple should be better. tech support telling people such as myself to do a complete restore of apple tv is not acceptable which i did just in case. the issue still remains. i advise people to hold off purchasing content for tv shows until an answer is provided. wasted enought time on this matter and still a fan of apple but patience is wearing thin. i realize that this forum is not answered by apple but feel that apple does read these posts and would love to keep the revenue coming in for itunes as it avoids piracy among other things.

I've never had any content disappear,
I had it happen once, around the time we first got itunes store access in UK on AppleTV - everything inexplicably deleted from AppleTv not just some things.
Fortunately the purchase I'd made a few hours before had synced to iTunes.
I really feel there are a couple of weaknesses with the model for media purchase on AppleTV:
1 - Things inexplicably disappear for some users - it MAY be user error in some instances - but if that's the case there is clearly no safety net warning in either iTunes or on the TV that the user is doing something that might cause the problem otherwise they'd remember.
If you've purchased content and it disappears before it's synced back to iTunes or been watched, you're going to take some persuading to part with your cash again in this manner.
2 - 'Reverse syncs' of purchases need to be avilable manually for AppleTV, possibly by a drag and drop within iTunes to override instances when the user has set up the wrong type of library, or the sync library fails to reverse sync content. Without being to move content back from AppleTV the user cannot use on other devices or make backups - a very unsatisfactory user experience, even if it only affects a few.
Movies/video with DRM are protected anyway, so what's the problem?
For iTunes plus material all that would be needed would be for the user perhaps to confirm their iTunes store credentials to allow the reverse transfer to happen to prevent opportunistic copies being made by nefarious individuals or those who have come into possession of stolen or 2nd hand AppleTVs.
I have found to date that iTunes Store invariably are quite helpful with any purchases that develop issues, but it is not guaranteed they'd allow redownloads etc, and it takes so little to put consumers off a service when it doesn't live up to expectations.

  • Consolidated Network Issues: Something is Just Plain Wrong (or Maybe Right)

I've been following this forum as for the first time since I can remember I am having network problems. Obviously many more people are as well.
I have a MBP running 10.5.1 and an iBook G4 w/10.5, and two identical MacMinis w/10.4.10 and 10.4.11. I usually plug in the MBP and the Mini w/10.4.10 is also wired. The iBook and the Mini w/10.4.11 are strictly wireless. There are also a NAS device, and a Linux server on wires, a Wii, TiVO and occasionally a DS on wireless. There are two Linksys WRT54G's running HyperWRT 2.1b1, a Linksys Vonage router, a D-Link DPR-1260 print server, and we connect to the net via Comcast. Oh yeah, everything has a static IP.
So, anyhow, my wireless, SMB, NFS, Bonjour, LPD, AFP, and almost all other services I regularly use work perfectly fine on all the machines. I've noticed virtually no difference on the machines running 10.5.* in these areas.
My glaring problem is that on either machine running 10.5.* I cannot access some of the web server based functions on my DPR-1260 print server. Loading always chokes on certain pages. It always seems to stall on a particular JavaScript file linked in the header. I have spent far too much time already trying to figure this out so I'm giving up since it doesn't pay the bills. However, I think my experience is worth sharing because it points to some fundamental issue with 10.5.* that I can't nail down.
To answer the obvious questions: Yes, JavaScript is active in the browser(s). This affects every browser. WebKit based, Gecko, Opera, iCab, and I even tried IE 5.2.3 (which otherwise still works as gloriously as ever on 10.5). Now when I disable JavaScript the pages load but of course are useless since most of the functionality is in the JS. I have tried cURL and wget to download the pages and both hang. I have managed to recursively download the whole site using wget and all the files that seem to stall out have the string 400 on it's own line every 20-30 lines. I have also noticed an occasional 100 and 304. Also, all the affected files end with a 0. None of these strings show up when I cleanly download the files. -- Newsflash -- I realized I had not covered all the bases so I did a recursive download with wget on both my Linux box running RH 7.2 and CentOS 5 running under Parallels. Same deal with the number strings showing up in various files. I do not have a Linux machine running X Windows so I cannot test this on a Linux browser with JavaScript. Lynx and links load the pages just fine, as with an OS X browser with JS turned off. And yes, I have checked this through both wired and wireless connections, including turning wireless off on both the machine and the print server and connecting directly (no switch or hub).
I'd say there is a problem with the code on the print server. It's not handling HTTP requests or mime types correctly. Downgrading the print server to an earlier firmware allows access to all the content but does not support the scanning function of my particular MFP.
However... Everything functions just fine with 10.4.10, 10.4.11, booted directly into Win XP on the MBP, running Win XP under Parallels with shared or bridged ethernet, and running Win XP under VMware Fusion using shared networking. Using NAT with Win XP and Fusion results in the same behavior as with 10.5.*. Also, I checked all this out using multiple browsers.
What I have dug into: None of my OS X machines has a sysctl.conf file. It appears to me that the sysctl settings are located in /System/Library/Frameworks/Kernel.framework/Versions/A/Headers/netinet/tcp.h and other related framework headers in the /System/Library/Frameworks/Kernel.framework/Versions/A/Headers/* directories. I compared the 10.4.11 version of tcp.h file to the version in 10.5.1 and found a few differences. In the 10.5.1 version it has this additional definition:
    #define TCPOLEN_SACK 8 /* len of sack block */
and this whole section is new:
    /* Option definitions */
    #define TCPOPTSACK_PERMITHDR \
    (TCPOPTNOP<<24|TCPOPT_NOP<<16|TCPOPT_SACK_PERMITTED<<8|TCPOLEN_SACKPERMITTED)
    #define TCPOPTSACKHDR (TCPOPTNOP<<24|TCPOPT_NOP<<16|TCPOPTSACK<<8)
    /* Miscellaneous constants */
#define MAXSACKBLKS 6 /* Max # SACK blocks stored at sender side */
    #define TCPMAXSACK 3 /* MAX # SACKs sent in any segment */
In conclusion it seems, with my problem anyway, either 10.4.* and Win XP are allowing kludgy network requests (or something) to work and, at the kernel level, 10.5 is not. Or perhaps 10.5 has an inherent issue with it's networking implementation.
    Help, anyone?
