Protected songs won't burn onto cd

So this is my first post about Itunes so if this question was already asked I'm sorry. My problem is I tried to burn some songs onto a cd and for the songs I've bought through Itunes store they asked for my password I gave it and now it says that I have these songs on to many computers(5 or more). The problem is I only have them on probably at least 3 no more then that. Does anyone know what is going on with this and how to fix it? Hopefully I was clear enough.

If your system crashes or you reinstall your operating system without deauthorising iTunes first, even a single computer can use up your limit of 5 authorisations. If you've reached your limit of 5 you have the option to deauthorise them all in one go from your iTunes Store account and start over again. Just note that you can only use this option once a year: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
To deauthorise all computers associated with your account:
1. Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
3. Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

  • One song will NOT burn onto any cd

up until now i have never encountered such a problem. one song that i purchased from iTunes will not burn onto a cd. i've never had troubles before with any other song, just this one. i've tried complaining to the itunes help but i got some lame answer that didn't help at all. could it be possible to have the itunes store allow me to download it again without paying for it, i think they let me download a corrupt song. why would they do that?

My very strong advice is to give up. Certainly don't waste another second messing about with tags. I have not seen one scrap of evidence to suggest they have any effect.
From my experience, the only chance you have of getting it matched is to alter the waveform of your track so that it matches that on the store. I assume that yours is a different mastering or something. I'm no expert, bit I'd guess that your chances of hitting on the right adjustments could be best expressed as zero.

  • Protected songs won't let me transfer music

i need to put music on my HTC ONE but i have protected songs. is there anything i can do?

    i have protected songs.
Upgrade them to non-DRM via iTunes Match (price US $24.99), or else burn them to audio CD and rip back to iTunes.

  • Moved songs to new computer and protected songs won't play

I have purchased songs from Apple Store long enough that I have songs purchased under an old Apple ID and my new Apple ID.  Someone has started using my old Apple ID as their own.  When I moved my iTunes library from my old hard drive where the protected songs were authorized to my new hard drive, the protected songs purchased under the old ID asks for a password for the old ID which I no longer know. How do I reset the Apple ID on my old songs to my new Apple ID?

Items purchased under an account remain permanently linked to that account (whichis why it is not a good idea to use more than one).  I don't know if it is possible to use an ID that somebody used before, but you can bet the old account is still there and is still linked ot whatever email address you used last with it. You will have to authorize the new computer using the old account to play the protected songs, or upgrade them to unprotected (will still require access to the old account).

  • Purchased songs won't burn to cd

Ok, I have an iPod touch (3rd gen) and buy my music off iTunes using the store on my touch. I want to burn these LEGALLY PURCHASED songs to a cd, and when I connect my iPod to iTunes, the songs show up in my "recently added" playlist on my ipod, but I can't move them to an iTunes playlist to be burned. I don't understand why I can't burn music that I paid for onto a cd. Is there a way to move these to a burnable playlist?

hi ... i had the same problem .. so frustrating ... found a posting from 2008 from Janadu in the apple discussions that said to uncheck the sound box and put the max speed at 6x and lo and behold it worked, after hours of trying. i tried to thank JANADU for the helpful info but was unable to reply to a posting from way back then. hope this works for you.

  • Most of my songs won't download onto my iPhone. Please help.

Okay, so I redeemed thirty dollars onto iTunes and bought a bunch of songs. I was listening to them for the rest of the night, and once I put on a different playlist in the morning, I noticed that the majority of all of my songs (some bought from iTunes and some downloaded from various websites) were there but wouldn't download. This had happened before with past purchases, but now it's happening with songs I didn't even buy. It's in the phase of "downloading," but it's not. I tried tapping the download buttons, and they just faded out with no activity whatsoever. Please help; I need my other songs desperately.

OK, assuming you have "automatically update all songs and playlists" checked in iPod properties and the songs were purchased from iTunes. Do the problem songs play OK in iTunes? An authorization problem is a possible case of not transferring.
Another possibility, the songs are not checked and you have "Only update checked songs" checked in your iPod properties.

  • Side-stepping protected songs for Toast burn?

I'm trying to burn an audio DVD in Toast by simply importing a 71 song playlist from iTunes. For the majority of songs, I get a message that says something like "You can only burn these songs in iTunes". I'm assuming this is because of the rediculous copyguard placed in iTunes. Is there any way to side-step this copyguard other than burning 71 songs to multiple CDs only to re-import them? What a pain.

Sorry but there is no other possibility than 1st burning those tracks to an AudioCD and 2nd to re-import those tracks.
The last config with support of burning purchased tracks through Toast has been:
    OS X 10.3.9, QT 6.5.2, iTunes 5.x, Toast 6.0.9

  • Some songs won't load onto my iPhone 4 D:

Please, I put about 300 songs in my iphone
they all got sync., but when I want to add some more, they won't ''load'' in it; the little circle isnt fulled like the other songs did. I have enough space in my phone, and I already tried to put away all the songs and put them back. I closed my phone many times, and my computer too. I'm almost raging. help me.

    Hello lightninghbolt
Try to remove the tracks from your iPhone by unchecking the Sync Music in the Music Tab within iTunes. You can also Drag and drop the tracks to your iPhone to get them to sync as well. It is also a possibility that you may just need to convert the songs to a different format and sync as well. Check out the articles below for all the steps need to troubleshoot.

  • Bought song won't download onto itunes

i bought a song from itunes. and it said that it had an error in downloading. a thing popped up and said something about needing to move things to the recycle bin to have more space because itunes could not save my library.
    what do i do?

You should have at least 10%-15% of your computer hard drive free at all times. If you have less than that, it’s time to delete files and get a new hard drive.
i have 11.2 MB left and 5.57 GB used
How wold is this computer that it only has 6GB HD?
can you buy something to add more space?
Yes, a new HD. A 250 GB internal HD will cost maybe $75.

  • Itunes 7.3.2, libra, and now songs won't load onto my iPod or iPHone

I'm not sure if Libra is the culprit, but since I updated last night, when I sync my iPod and IPhone no music or movies load.
I don't want to to to the hour of removing Libra and reconsolidating libraries if that is not the cause. I love Libra, I love being able to have my full library on an external drive and my iPod and only small ones on my laptop...

If the songs on the iPod are "greyed out" when you look at them through iTunes, it's because you have it set to auto sync. That's why you can't drag and drop.
If you want to do that, you need to change to manage the content manually.
"also once the songs are on the ipod, you can't change the text or get the artwork."
You will be able to edit the songs when you change to manual. However, if you add artwork to the songs on the iPod directly, you will not be able to view it on the iPod.
Artwork must be added to the songs in iTunes first, then transferred to the iPod.

  • HT4914 I can't seem to sync songs (incl those burned onto my old pc and stored in ITunes) on my IPAD to a new MAC - help

    As title suggests - help

The issue is that in order for Audiobooks to even show up on my Music>More>Audiobooks I had to double purchase an Audiobook.  I have synced ny iPhone to the MBP with & without cable and tried to sync them.  I have put them in a playlist (reccomended by another string) It did not work.  I have looked to see if I could pull them via iTunes as a purchased items (these are non existent via mobile device).  I have looked to see if they were being held in the Cloud and could be tranfered to my my iPhone, nada.
I have triple checked to see if I am missing the obvious, but I'm not.  I've been an exclusive Apple user since 1998.  Off and on prior to that.  So Apple devices are no stranger to me.  In all that time this is the first post I've ever had to do asking for help or direction.
    Ugghhh.... frustrated!

  • Unable to burn certain AAC protected songs

    Hi everyone,
I am having trouble burning some of my music. I was trying to burn a playlist/make an audio cd containing protected AAC audio files. For some reason iTunes decided not burn several of the songs on the playlist. I then created a new playlist containing only those songs that didn't burn properly and tried to burn another audio cd. iTunes will not even attempt to burn these songs.
Why would iTunes burn some protected AAC audio files and not others?

Have you been able to get those tracks to burn yet?  I have the same problem - about 30 songs won't burn.  I don't even get an error message.
