buenas tardes
estamos creando una aplicacion para escanear codigos de barra, la aplicacion ya la tenemos pero queremos proteger la aplicacion, es decir que la aplicacion solo corra en una pc, tener algun archivo tipo licencia.
es esto posible??
hay clientes que nos han vendido algunos programas he instalan una usb, la aplicacion puedeestar en varias pcs pero solo la que tiene la usb funciona..
me podrian ayudar???

please post in english on his forum, or in spanish on the spanish community.
You can protect an application by using USB dongles : in your code, you call a dll function (provided by the usb seller), and check that the usb dongle is present on the PC. Then you can close the program if it doesn't.
Type "usb dongle security" on google, and you will find a lot of sellers.

How do I install Win 2000 form a USB CD on a Protege 3440CT

I have a Protege 3440CT and need to repair/install Windows 2000 from a CD. I have the 4 floppy Win2k boot set and can boot from the USB FDD. The CD drive is also a USB connected through the port replicator but it is never seen as available.
What do I need or do to be able to see the CD drive for the installation of windows?

you don't really need all that much - a usb CD drive can be used with 'usbcd.sys' driver loaded into 'usbaspi.sys' environment and used with MSCDEX. Both can be booted up from a DOS floppy after a editing a couple of lines in your config.sys file.
you should be able to find those when you search for them using google, and there are a good few complete step-by-step guides around.
Another way is to get the hdd out, hook it up to a working computer and copy the setup cd onto the drive manually.
I've done both and I have my 3440CT running XPSP2 and using a 60GB drive ;)

Protege M100 won't boot to internal CD, though it's set to in BIOS

Okay I have a Toshiba Protege m100 here I think.
I set the boot priority in the BIOS to like CD-ROM>LAN>FDD>HDD
I reboot, doesn't work. Boots straight to HD and loads the OS.
I also tried pressing escape or whatever to make the boot menu pop up.
I navigate over to the 1 that looks like a single CD disc. I hit enter on it, and it still boots to HD.
The CD rom works. The current OS is Ubuntu. I can go into Ubuntu and look at the windows XP CD...
But it won't let me boot to any cd, it doesn't even look like it tries to search for one. Doesn't make the sound or the clicking noise.
(and for the record, I'm going from Ubuntu to XP for work, not personal preference lol).
Edit: Oh yeah I had to turn the LAN network card off in the bios because the boot priority would skip the cd again anyway, and search the lan for a connection or something... So with it off, yeah, it skips the LAN too now, to boot from HD.

In my opinion in BIOS you should set HDD as first bootable device.
For some reason if you need to use other device as first bootable device you can choose it manually in boot menu when you use F12 at start-up.

Vt-d virtualization not working ot Toshiba Protege m780 s7240

On my Toshiba Protege m780 s7240 I configured BIOS to get VT-d working, But actually it is not working.
After installing XEN it reports that VT-d and all related services are not enabled.
So how is that? Is my machine that is broken or all Toshiba Protege m780 s7240 have VT-d not working?
Is there anything that can be done? I tried to open a ticket but found no way to do that.

5200 VTD128 Perfiles de Aplicacion

Trato de utilizar los profiles personalizados para cada aplicacion pero de ninguna manera logro hacerlos funcionar... los juegos a los cuales les aplico la configuracion especifica siguen usando la configuracion global...
Sera que algo estoy haciendo mal... lo primero que hago es agregar la aplicacion.. buscar el archivo ejecutable, asigno el nombre al profile... luego marco el check box y le doy la configuracion especifica de antialiasing y filtracion anisotropica.. luego le doy aplicar.. y a la hora de iniciar la aplicacion esta sigue utilizando la configuracion global y hace caso omizo a la personalizada...
La version del driver que tengo es la version de MSI 5663 que es la mas reciente y el sistema operativo es Win XP (sp1)
Alguna idea de cual sea mi problema?

Has probado reinstalando el driver? También prueba ejecutando los juegos utilizando directamente los ejecutables que especificas en los perfiles, y no los accesos directo. Nunca he utilizado los perfiles, pero creo q eso podría funcionar...

Error iOS 7 ocultar aplicaciones

Al tratar de mover aplicaciones en mi iPhone 4, a la versión final del iOS 7, se me ha ocultado una aplicación. Sólo puedo abrir esta aplicación por buscador. Lo más probable es que sea un error de la versión final del iOS 7. Solicito me puedan ayudar para volver a ver esta aplicación normalmente.

1.) Has anyone used Protege to create frame-based ontologies which can somehow be used with Oracle Business Rules?
2.) Has anyone used Protege along with the RDF storage functionality in Oracle?

Mi iphone 6 plus no quiere descargar aplicaciones

Todo estaba perfecto un dia decidi sincronizarlo a la computadora y ahi empezaron los problemas. Primero no quería descargar aplicaciones, se queda moviendose el circulo como si estubiera tratando de cargar pero nunca me pide la huella o el password del appstore y se queda cargando por horas y nunca descarga.Luego intente apagandolo, dandole log out y log in a appstore pero nada me funciono , la única manera que me funciono es dandole reset a los settings. pero de verdad estoy muy molesto p[orque me sigue pasando , y no me gusta estar dandole reset para poder descargar aplicaciones. tiene garantia, o que me sugiren

Es un problema que tienes con la tarjeta de crédito o el método de pago asociado a tu cuenta de iTunes. El problema es que Apple cuida la seguridad con los iPhones nuevos que se añaden a una cuenta, o sea, si compraste recién este iPhone y estás tratando de pagar las compras con éste, vas a tener que autentificar tu cuenta (ya sea poniendo los últimos dígitos de tu tarjeta de crédito, o algo parecido). Pero el problema es de autenticación por motivos de seguridad, te recomendaría cerrar sesión en Ajustes-iTunes y volver a iniciar sesión. Si no, llamas a Apple al 1800MYIPHONE (tienen soporte en español también) y explícales que no te permite realizar compras con un nuevo iPhone que compraste, seguro te pedirán el número de serie, etc., para meterlo al sistema.

Re: Error with Bluetooth Stack driver on Protege Z830

Error during installation of Bluetooth Stack for Windows 7 (15/05/12 version) : first driver "Bluetooth USB controller-10" installed correctly but second one "Bluetooth RFBUS" fails.
Consequently Bluetooth does not work. PC says it is not activated (with Fn+F8 or running Bluetooth paramater)
Nota : the Atheros driver is up to date. I have tried with and without the Bluetooth Driver Filter Package 1.0.9.
What should I do ?

Oh, c'mon, folks, don't be so skeptical when someone reports a problem. What does it matter the reasons we can have reinstalling the bluetooth stack?
The fact is that THERE IS an issue with it. I'm also experiencing this problem the last OFFICIAL update. And I'm using only software provided by the Toshiba drivers download webpage, therefore it SHOULD work, as approved by Toshiba. (Model z830-10F, shipping the Atheros hardware)
When installing the new stack, the Bluetooth RFBUS (driver 8.0.2005.0) shows the typical yellow icon, and the device status reports "this device cannot start (code 10)". You all know how very useful are codes in Windows, don't you? :D
If I try to install any other driver for the RFBUS (from Atheros website for example) it fails saying I have already the latest driver. I've tried installing the Toshiba provided bluetooth stack with and without bluetooth activated in the BIOS, and it makes no difference: the install process gets stuck at some point, and it goes no further, no matter how much I wait.
Then of course I have to kill the process, after which, obviously the install doesn't work properly. Some suggestions about this?
A piece of information which might be interesting: when installing the stack, if I watch closely the device manager, there is a moment when the RFBUS appears and shows up with no problem, but then a moment later in the install process it shows the yellow icon.
Please, no replies like: "reinstall Windows from recovery partition", or "use previous bluetooth stack version". We're too grown up for that, aren't we? ;) Unless, of course, someone can tell me how or where to get the previous stack.

Oracle semantic tech inference + Protege plugin

From the Protege Plugin, I've installed a simple Ontology for testing on Oracle 11g, I've added a few individuals to the database with no problem at all, though I can't see the inference on the database!!.
Jena Adapter for Oracle Database I am using these instructions to install Joseki and a Java client. Everything seems okay, I can query the RDF database and the individuals using Joseki and a Jena client.
This snippet is part of the client to perform the inference.

After running this code the database it seems inferred, but when I query it, it looks to me the data wasn't inferred.
Does anyone have any clue to see how to infer data on Oracle?. Maybe I doing something wrong or I misunderstood something because I got empty response when I query for data that it should be inferred. The ontology should be okay, because when i create individuals on Protege and run the reasoner, the inferred data shows up perfectly.

Protege Plugin Problem

I think the sample Protege plugin Oracle provides breaks Protege 3.2.1 - I downloaded it here:

I made a fresh install of Protege, created an oracle directory in the plugins directory, and copied oracle.jar and ojdbc14.jar to that directory as instructed by the README. Then I started Protege and and when I click "New Project" the console dumps a stack trace starting with: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: edu/stanford/smi/protegex/storage/walker/FrameCreator
Removing the two Oracle files solves the problem. Is anybody using Protege with any success? I need some encouragement here... :-)
