Proto won't let me e-mail wireframes to myself.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I am logged into My Account, yet the Email/Share button pops up a window that says "Email wireframe(s) as Zipped HTML files through your native e-mail application" and gives me two options 'Cancel' or 'Email' with the Email button shown as deactivated. Same thing for 'Share' option. What am I missing??

Hi Ilonka12345,
I get the same behavior, after you select a project the share or email button becomes available. This functionality is meant as a means to get the project from the tablet to a computer to continue working on it in some kind of HTML editor/webpage creation program, like Dreamweaver.

My mail application says "Mail quit unexpectantly".  It won't let me open mail.  How do i fix it?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report — they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • OS 10.8.5 won't let me open mail on thumb drive

Lots of people have posted at various times in the discussion groups that they have had problems accessing their mail, getting the message "You can't use this version of the application 'Mail' with this version of OS X.'"
I have mail from my old Mac Mini backed up on a thumb drive but when I tried to look at it, I got the message above plus "You have 'Mail' 4.6."
There are suggested fixes to this issue when it arose after 10.6 but I don't see anything about 10.8.5 which I thought was going to take care of it.
    All suggestions welcome.

Try going to Mail/Import Mailboxes and see if you can get them into Mail.

  • Mountain Lion won't let me send mail. I have to re-configure every time I log on

Mountain Lion keeps me from sending messages. I have to re-configure everytime I send mail.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select "system.log" from the file list. Copy the words "Starting standard backup" (without the quotes) on this page and paste into the String Matching text field. Note the timestamp of the last message shown. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Post the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
Some personal information, such as the names of your files, may be included — edit that out, too, but don’t remove the context.

  • IPhoto won't let me e-mail multiple photos anymore

Since I got Leopard I can no longer compose and e-mail multiple photos from iPhoto (mine is iPhoto 4).
I used to be able to highlight several photos in my iPhoto library, select 'e-mail' in the toolbar, and a newly composed e-mail would pop up with the selected photos embedded and ready to go to the recipient. However, since Leopard if I select more than one photo and hit 'e-mail,' I get the following error message:
"Mail got an error. Can't get paragraph 8 of content of outgoing message id 107157168. Invalid index."
An e-mail is composed, however, it is embedded with only the first selected photo and no others. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums
this has been reported on these forums in the past and appears to be a bug
for now (and maybe for always - you are not likely to see any more updated to iPhoto 4) you need to either export the photos and add them to the e-mail or create the e-mail with the first photo and then drag the remaining ones to it

  • Mail app won't let me send mail

Since updating to the newest operating system, my Mail app rarely works. I have three different work accounts set up with it and it only recently started connecting them all again. However, I'm still not able to send any mail at all from any of the accounts and I can't figure out why. I know that the passwords are all correct and I have always been able to send from here. The connection doctor just keeps saying it can't connect to my accounts when I'm trying to send.  The purpose of me using the app is so that I don't constantly need to log in and out of different accounts in my browser. Does anyone know how to make this work again?

Similar problem here. The Troubleshooting link from Linc did not help, nor did over two hours on the phone with Apple Support using screen sharing. I have iCloud mail with three addresses: .mac, .me and .icloud. None of them will send. This issue has occurred fitfully for years, across multiple iMacs and Operating Systems. This time it has lasted for a week, forcing me to use iCloud Mail in Safari to send emails.
While talking to Support we tried to Edit the SMTP Server List, creating a new server at smtp.mail.me.com. After plugging in all the appropriate data and saving, it all vanished and reverted to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): iCloud (iCloud, Offline). The newly created SMTP server was gone. Two different Support Techs watched this happen multiple times. I have signed out of iCloud and then recreated the account. I have even done a Clean Install of Yosemite, which involved hours and hours and then setting all my Prefs manually so as not to drag in any old, corrupt files. No change. Outgoing email sits in the Outbox folder and periodically pops up an error message saying it can't be sent.
In the past this issue only affected my iMac. Now it is also crippling outgoing mail on my MacBook.
Besides the Clean Install I have: Rebuilt Permissions, Reset PRAM and SMC, repaired Prefs, etc., etc.

Can you be more specific about what isn't working? Can you receive mail? Can you send mail? How is your mail account configured in Mail? What version of OS X are you using?

  • My iPhone 4 won't let me e-mail pictures.

I select the picture, click the mail button, and the picture disappears like it was sent but it doesn't make the "whoosh" sound and I never get the e-mail.

When I send a photo, the second line says "Cc/Bcc, From: <my address>".
    You're saying yours does not.
Be sure to check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Account.  It sounds like that is the issue.  It should be set to your email account.

  • Won't let me e-mail photos

Attaching photos to emails isn't my issue - the problem is when I send the an email with a photo attachment it looks like its sending but doesn't. I'll need an idiot's guide to solve this as I'm pretty useless when it comes to computer terminology...I've had a Mac for over a year now and never managed to figure this out so any assistance would be greatly appreciated...I've got grandparents desperate to see regular photos of their granddaughter and I can't send them any!

  • Mail won't open and it won't let my computer shut down

mail won't open, the little light by the icon in the dock won't go away, it won't quit, and it won't let my mac shut down even if i let the battery die, it just goes to sleep until you plug it in. Someone please help me!!

Launch Activity Monitor (in /Applications/Utilities folder), find the Mail process, and force quit it from there. If this is NOT an admin-privileged account, then log out, log back in to an admin-privileged account, run Disk Utility Verify Disk. IF problems are reported, reboot from installer DVD and run Disk Utility Repair Disk from the installer DVD. Launch it from Utilities menubar item once the menubar is visible. If you are now running booted off the installer DVD, when repair disk is complete reboot normally and log back in to admin account and download 10.6.2 combo update from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL959 and reapply it. Then run software update from the  menubar item. Let us know if that works or not.

  • Pre won't let me put in an ip address for a mail server name when adding a new account.

I can type it in, but it won't let me that add the accunt (sign in button doesn't work).  If i put a name in there, it lets me click "sign in".
is this a known issue?  any workaround for this?  we don't have a qualifed name so i need to use the ip address of our mail server.

It was a known issue at the time of launch. There was a recent over-the-air update that addressed at least one Exchange sync issue (now allows http:// in addition to https:// access), but I have not read about whether it resolves the IP Address issue.
