Protocol maintenance -OAA3

Hi All,
I am integrating a 3rd party content server with SAP.
I have done following steps:
OAC0 u2013 customizing Content Repositories
OAC2 u2013 SAP AL Documenttypes global
OAC3 u2013 SAP AL Link Table
I have created links in the SAP table TOA01.
Logic will be like this: First i will search doc in tcode OAAD and then i will click on the link. It should call to  viewer of the storage system supplier (means our viwer )
I am stuck in protocol maintenace step (OAA3-SAP AL Protocols for OLE Front-End).
Please help me to configure this step.Provide me any link or any step by step document .
Thanks

  • Archivelink setup

    Hello,
In our company we archive scanned documents in IXOS.
The archivelink is setup to store the documents in IXOS and to view the archived documents with the IXOS viewer.
Now we want to create a new content repository for which we want to store documents on a file server instead of using IXOS.
Is there someone who knows how to set this up ?
I know that you need to create a new protocol via OAA3 and new application via OAA4 but how should this be configured.
We want to store all kind of document classes : FAX, PDF, TIF, DOC, XLS, ...
I would appreciate any help !
    wkr,
    Andy

    Hello,
I will face the same problem in September. Sorry, I have no solution at moment. I will be please to share your experience in the next months. In my company we are evaluating to move from IXOS to SAP Content Server. Is the same Scenario you are facing?
I'm collenting advantages and disadvantages. Can you help me to find some documetation on this subject?
    Thank you! Fabio

  • MOP RC (Maintenance Operation Protocol -Remote Console) function enabled

So I just had a white hat security finding on my external router. I appeared to be low in the findings and I am unsure if this protocol is even used any more. My router is a Cisco 3825 running IOS 12.3(11r)T2. This is what they reported:
One or more Cisco routers have the MOP RC (Maintenance Operation Protocol -Remote Console) function enabled, which is a poor security practice. MOP enables personnel on the local network, or a remote network that is bridged to the local network, to obtain access to a remote console on the router if they possess credentials for the device. This is significant because access to router management is usually protected by IP-based ACLs. As a Layer 2 protocol, MOP allows for the circumvention of this type of ACL, making brute force login attempts possible if account lockout is not enabled. If account lockout is enabled, such attempts could result in a denial of service due to user accounts being locked out.
I fixing this as easy as just running the no mop enabled command in the interface like this article suggests?  http://blogs.cisco.com/security/router_spring_cleaning_-_no_mop_required/

ya it was a great easy to read article on a feature you should turn off. Still I wonder how many master hackers try to hack that. DECnet who knew right
Do you apply no mop enable the interface or the subinterface??  Also I should only need to apply it to the interface facing the "internet" right?

  • LMS 4.2 and Maintenance Operation Protocol

    Dear All,
We are running LMS 4.2.1 and it is reporting a vulnerability stating that MOP is enabled on Cisco 7206 Router. However I am not able to apply the suggested fix  "NO MOP ENABLED" on all ethernet interfaces. Router model and IOS running on the device is mentioned below,
    ROUTER: Cisco 7206 NPE-G1
    IOS: c7200-ik9o3s-mz.124-25f.bin
"show process | include MOP" and/or "show subsys name mop*" doesn't show anything in theoutput. Which means the MOP code is not part of the IOS.
If MOP code is not a part of the IOS, then why is LMS reporting mentioned vulnerability? Please clarify.
I am able to apply the same command in the Router running with the following,
    IOS: c7200p-advsecurityk9-mz.150-1.m8.bin
    Warm Regards,
    Rajkumar G

  • B-channel oos and protocol error 510

    Dear all,
I have some some issue couple of days ago. The telephony system of my client worked well and suddenly the cannot make external calls via E1. I checked the config and for me it seems to be ok. When I checked the SDL file, I can see the B channel out of service error message following by the
"MGCP PROTOCOL ERROR: <S1/SU1/DS1-0/[email protected]> CRCX error code: 510". They have A CUCM 6.0 and Cisco 2821 as gateway with 12.4 (25f) advance IP service IOS.
I perform the following actions without success:
-From the CUCM in the advance service I forced the Bchannel to bring it in service,
    - no mgcp/mgcp, -reboot the CUCM and the Gateway,
-reset the controller throug CUCM,... in vain.
They contacted telco and has confirm that everything seems to be ok. Find below the information that can help you to undestand better

    Thanks for your help

The explanation for your syslog message is " The B-channel indicated by this alarm has gone out of service. Some of the more common reasons for a B-channel to go out of service include: Taking the channel out of service intentionally to perform maintenance on either the near- or far-end; MGCP gateway returns an error code 501 or 510 for a MGCP command sent from Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM); MGCP gateway doesn't respond to an MGCP command sent by Unified CM three times; a speed and duplex mismatch exists on the Ethernet port between Unified CM and the MGCP gateway"
    Recommended action:
Check the Unified CM advanced service parameter, Change B-channel Maintenance Status to determine if the B-channel has been taken out of service intentionally; Check the Q.931 trace for PRI SERVICE message to determine whether a PSTN provider has taken the B-channel out of service; Reset the MGCP gateway; Check the speed and duplex settings on the Ethernet port.

    Thanks

    Many thanks hubery.
I had mutiple svc network service errors or warnings when re-booting a Solaris 10 x86 10/09 u8 after adding the box to MS Active Directory using adjoin.sh as per the paper written by Wajih Ahmed and Baban Kenre (Thanks for the notes guys by the way, mines working against 2003 with no service pack after installing SFU(Services For Unix)).
I'd also installed the Dec. 09 patch bundle to no avail. Thank goodness we don't get those meaningless patch errors now, just 'skipped' or 'success'.
The nsswitch.conf file looked like this.
    networks: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    protocols: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    rpc: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    ethers: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    netmasks: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    bootparams: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
    publickey: ldap [NOTFOUND=return] files
After removing the [NOTFOUND=return] section on each line the warnings no longer appear on boot, yay.
Here's the complete working nsswitch.conf file:

  • ALV - error protocol

    Hi All
I'm writing an ALV report to do table maintenance of a Z table.
    I've used bits of BCALV03 & 04 and other BCALV’s.
I can add new lines and edit fields in the report screen.
I have build F4 to get possible values into my screen fields.

    ABAP Developer / DK

    Hello Svend
As Rich has already implied the DATA_CHANGED event is not yet raised when you call a search help on the ALV list. However, the event will should be raised after hitting the ENTER button which causes the dynpro to run into PAI where you, most  likely, call method go_grid->check_changed_data.
If you want to validate the values selected from a search help then you need to define a handler for event <b>ON_F4</b>. In addition, you need to call method <b>go_grid->register_f4_for_fields</b> (for more details see sample report <b>BCALV_TEST_GRID_F4_HELP</b>).
    Regards
      Uwe

  • Disable Shared memory & Named Pipes protocols - Post implementation issues

    Hi,
As per security guidelines, we disabled Shared memory & Named Pipes protocols and enabled "TCP/IP" only. Also, we changed the port# from 1433 to 1533 and after that, in management studio, SQL Server Error logs is not openning up and SQL
    Agent Service doesn't start.
Error while opening SQL Server Error Logs in SSMS:
The description for Event ID 17052 from source MSSQLSERVER cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Severity: 16 Error:10061, OS: 10061 [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]TCP Provider: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
Error while trying to start SQL Agent Service from the configuration manager:
SQLServerAgent could not be started (reason: Unable to connect to server '(local)'; SQLServerAgent cannot start).
We changed the Server host in the registry by entering <ServerName>,<Port#>. This resolved SQL Agent Service startup issue. After startup, we tried to run jobs but they all are failing with the below error.
    Job runtime Error:
Could not load package "Maintenance Plans\Daily DB Backups" because of error 0xC0014062.  Description: The LoadFromSQLServer method has encountered OLE DB error code 0x80004005 (Login timeout expired).  The SQL statement that was issued
has failed.  Source:   Started:  4:40:45 PM  Finished: 4:41:00 PM  Elapsed:  15.547 seconds.  The package could not be loaded.  The step failed.
Resolution: If I create an alias name then all problems are solved.
Question: Alias name is the only one solution or is there any other turn around? For some reason, I’m not at all comfortable with alias name. I feel like cheating. :-) .
     PLEASE COMMENT
If you feel that I have answered your question then please "Mark as Answer".

    Hi,
Shared memory is a security threat reported by several security audit tools. In our company, we are using "DBProtect" and "FortiDB" tools. Both checks for "Shared memory" & "Named Pipes" protocols. In case,
our server is compromised then the last step is to get into the SQL Server to steal the data and we are trying to restrict this from being happening. So, we are disabling both protocols.
     Finally, we got it worked.
"Cliconfig" in run command and enable "TCP/IP" protocols and it worked like a charm. This is a fluke resolution and I don't know the technical reason why we need to do this in "Client Configuration" on the server when
    we have "Configuration Manager".
We successfully configured by disabling "Shared memory/Named Pipes" protocols. SQL Browser is also disabled & no aliases are configured.
    Thanks.

  • File Protocol does not work with double slash ...PLEASE HELP

    Hi ALL
    POSTING THIS AGAIN....Please have alook
I am using j2sdk 1.4.2 . In 1.4.1 version File protocol was working with double slash
But Now in 1.4.2 version I have to use /// slashes to make it work...
Can anyone shed any light on this. Has Sun changed something ?
I searched the release notes but could not find anything useful.....
    Please comment .
    Thanks

The problem is that it leads to maintenance problems
    for our products
future releases and I need to find a good solution to
this problemRead the spec for file URLs, fix your existing code to use it, and remember this lesson for next time.
(Side note: I can't remember ever using or seeing double slases.)

  • Wireless ad hoc routing protocols

I have an application that uses wireless ad hoc routing protocols (node-to-node communication).  Has anyone developed any application that implements wireless ad hoc networking protocols, such as route discovery, route maintenance etc. using LabView?  If so, I'd appreciate if you could provide more insight on your application.
    Thank you in advance.

I've done something like that in the past, but LV was not the interface to the network.
Basically, LV was used to control parameters within an embedded system (running Linux-Embedded) and sending commands over serial and / or Ethernet ports.  The system was comprised of multiple boards, each running an OS with 3 layers of communication, some of which were serial, most over Ethernet.
However, the firmware took care of discovering and setting up the network.  LV simply quieried the system to find out what it had to deal with (how many boards, what type, etc), then it would quiery the application to find out if the expected networks were esblished and to allow permissions over the network.
Are you trying to achieve something similar or are you trying to implement (setup) the network directly using LV?

    Hi,
I am not sure but are you trying to print shop papers at default printer specified in config.First thing is are orders released,I presume they are released hence you are getting message.
Next thing is check config as below:
Application area - O for maint orders
Planning plant -  * or define your plant
Planner group - * or same as above
Shop paper - Define shop paper or *
Output device - LOCL or your device property...It is advised to put LOCL as different users can ahave different printers.
Storage mode -1 for printing only
then select print immediately and delete after output.
After this in your master(SU01) define output device as LOCL and this will pick up your default printer of your desktop or working station as configured in windows.
Also check if right shopapers you have assigned to order type, you can confirm them if you see in print preview.
    regds,
    atul
