Protocols supported by SunOne

HI,
We are planning to built a clustering model with SunOne and use two application servers. These two server will be may be on a different network and only few protocol stack are allowed for communication between these. Is there any list of the supported protocols? Can SunOne communication with the other server in cluster using someother protocol other than tcp/ip?
Thanks,
Srivatsan.

How can i connect to weblogic other than t3 protocol?
Does weblogic supports any other J2EE standard protocols??
I am using rmi protocol in my code to connect to weblogic. It is failing. It is not very likely that it is failing because of t3. It happens to be a pretty
stable thing. May be it is the way you are cooking it.
Do you have any stack traces or error messages that you could kindly share

  • Dynamic Routing Protocol Support in Cisco ASA Multiple Context Mode

                       Dear Experts,
Wold like to know whether dynamic Routing Protocol Support in Cisco ASA Firewall Multiple Context Mode. If yes then please provide OS version and Hardware Model of Cisco ASA Firewall. Appreciate the quick response.  Thanks.

    Hi,
Check out this document for the information
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/roadmap/asa_new_features.html#wp93116
Its lists the following for software level 9.0(1)
    Multiple   Context Mode Features
    Dynamic routing in Security   Contexts
EIGRP and OSPFv2 dynamic   routing protocols are now supported in multiple context mode. OSPFv3, RIP, and multicast routing   are not supported.
Seems to me you would need some 9.x version to support the above mentioned Dynamic Routing Protocols.
I don't think its related to the hardware model of the ASA other than that it requires a model that supports Multiple Context Mode. To my understanding the only model that doesnt support that is ASA5505 of the whole ASA5500 and ASA5500-X series.
    Hope this helps

  • Does Ethernet/IP Industrial Protocol support RSLogix5000?

The ethernetip.zip protocol looks like just what I need for communicating between Fieldpoint and my PLC...  Does the protocol support the RSLogix5000?

You might want to just post a comment in the NI Labs asking the same thing, as the author of the software will get a notification that someone has posted a comment, and they may know the answer for you. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with that particular software.

  • Oracle Linux-SNA Protocol support

    Hello,
We have developed the product with client server architecture with client and server has capability to talk with each other
using either TCP/IP or IBM SNA protocol. Our application is an 32 bit application.
We now need to check whether the Oracle Linux has capability to support SNA protocol.
Can you please let us know whether the following the Oracle linux versions (*Oracle 5 64-bit, Oracle 5 32-bit, Oracle 6 64-bit, Oracle 6 32-bit*) has capability to support SNA protocol?
    Thanks in advance.

Do we have any document/reference stating the Oracle Linux does not provide SNA protocol support?I have not see the converse - any documentation from Oracle that Oracle Linux (OL) does support SNA. There are no specific SNA download components for OL at Oracle's edelivery site, and not Metalink/Support note found on this subject matter when searching for "Linux" and "SNA protocol".
Oracle itself do (or did) support Gateway products using SNA. From the few support notes on the topic, it seems that these are pretty old and refer to deprecated s/w.
I would be surprised if OL supports SNA. Or even IPX for that matter. IPv4 and IPV6 are the definitive standards. For fabric layers, there are the various Infiniband protocols (SRP, RDMA, RDS, etc). It's hard to see SNA or something like IPX featuring in this.
Best would be to ask this question to Oracle sales/marketing directly. Neither Dude or I work for Oracle and we've only conveyed our opinions in this regard.

  • General client/protocol support questions

I'm sure some of this can be answered in the docs, but in the interest of getting a real-world summary, I was wondering if anyone could comment on if (and if so, how) the following are supported by Calendar Server.
    * iCalendar (if so, what URL does one use to subscribe or publish a calendar with an icalendar client?)
    * WebCAL
    * CalDAV/GroupDAV
My focus is to try and identify what clients will really work with CS. I know that the web clients work great, that Lightning works pretty well and Evolution sort of works (I have another post about Evo). But I'm curious about non-WBAC clients like Apple iCal, Sunbird, Kmail/Korganizer, or any other free/OSS clients that might work.
    TIA!

Work is currently under-way to provide additional protocol support:

These include:
Thunderbird, with Lightning WCAP enabled plugin (http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/0.7/lightning-wcap/)
    Evolution with WCAP plugin (http://www.go-evolution.org/Evolution_JESCS).
Outlook with Sun Outlook Connector installed.
    Sunbird -- although I haven't confirmed this myself (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird/)
For Apple iCal there is : http://sourceforge.net/projects/jscalendarsync and http://www.hovenweep.org/~rowan/software/icald.html although I can't comment on how well these work (don't use/own a Apple Mac).

In case that's not clear, no, it doesn't support it.

FaheemOracle supports many, many protocols. You are specifically asking for Networking protocols. Perhaps unsurprising, then, that the question is one about the Oracle Net Services.
The answer is in the Net Services Administrator's Guide and the Net Services Reference documents found at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/portal.portal_db?selected=3#index-NET In particular, look at Chapter 4 of the Reference.
There is additional information in the Oracle® Database Platform Guide, 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit) as well.

  • IWeb protocol support for anything OTHER than http and https

I am extremely disappointed in iWeb. It doesn't even seem to be able to do very simple things.
All I want to do is to create HTML links to external pages with protocols other than "http" and "https" and it always prepends "http" to the beginning of the URL. This is really really really annoying.
Apple I hope you are paying attention. iWeb is poorly designed. You are trying to anticipate what end users want...this is a development practice right from the Microsoft Windows Developer book. I sure how the next update to iWeb works properly. I'm so upset about all this...I can't publish podcasts to the web because of all the foolishness with how you handle that, and the confusing directory name issues.
My podcast URL looks like this:
    http://itpc://www.mysite.com/podcast/News/rss.xml
I tried (unsuccesfully) to manually create the podcast since the automated version created this:
    itpc://www.bradyconsult.com/podcast/podcast/News/rss.xml
I'm sure I could fiddle with iWEb and get this to work, but why should I? I've already fiddled with it and simple changes to my site structure totally screw this up. Not to mention, that when it did work, it didn' t even post all my podcasts!!! It skipped the first one and the last one.
And, for those wondering, i'm not technically clueless. I have a podcast working just fine on two other sites. The appeal to iLife with iWeb and the new podcast feature of GarageBand was to bring all this together in one easy to use, nice package. But it's not nice. Garageband's update is awesome! But iWeb and it's attempts to work with the other iApps is gruesome.
I expect this garbage from Microsoft...not Apple.
Can anyone recommend a workaround (and yes, I understand I can manually edit HTML...but I was hoping for a workaround within iWeb) to create html links with support for protocols (aside from http and https) ??
It's bad enough I have to publish to a folder and then FTP to my site since apple makes that exceedingly difficult to do (I'm sure to increase .mac sales) but all this other foolishness is just bunk. I feel ripped off on my iLife '06 purchase.
    Grrrrrrr......
    G5 Dual 2.3 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I don't know if this helps you any, but in my humble
opinion Drake is absolutely correct. iWeb really
wasn't designed for the pro site builder; it's just
an entry level site builder. Moreover, it isn't
really geared for the professional world of internet
marketing; I think it is really more for the home
and family group who have at least one thing in
    common: Macs.
I don't think it was even designed for them. I mean, you can't create an ftp: link, you can't manage multiple site files, there's no way to add "aim:" or "yahoo:" links, etc. It's not mac's they're supporting. It's .mac in particular, maybe, if that.
The art is kinda nice, but really, the grief in trying to do simple things like a basic href is just absurd. I can do these things easily in Pages. iWeb should certainly be no more difficult.
Btw, I'm here because I have the same problem - overly restrictive URL's on hyperlinks. I'll probably solve my with a trivial sed script. But even that's tough because they mangle the url. It's not easy to find an encoding suitable for automatic post processing.
    Automator anyone?

    Hello,
I'm saying crypto maps have a lot of limitations. Tunnel Protection make way more sense
U can configure in 2 ways [ and multicast WILL work over it]
    1- GRE over IPSEC
    crypto ipsec transform-set aes esp-aes 256 esp-sha-hmac
    mode transport
    crypto ipsec profile tp
    set transform-set aes
    int tu1
    ip address 255.255.255.252
    tunnel source
    tunnel destination
    tunne protection ipsec profile tp
We have configured mode transport because we encrypt GRE + what ever we encapsule in GRE [ eg OSPF - telnet - http ]
    Pros:
We can as well transport IPV6 or CDP
    Cons:
4 bytes of overhead due to GRE
    2- IP over IPSEC
    crypto ipsec transform-set aes esp-aes 256 esp-sha-hmac
    mode tunnel
    crypto ipsec profile tp
    set transform-set aes
    int tu1
    ip address 255.255.255.252
    tunnel source
    tunnel destination
    tunnel mode ipsec ipv4
    tunne protection ipsec profile tp
This config is in fact closer from a crypto map [ from encapsulation standpoint]. The transform-set then NEED to be in tunnel-mode
    Pro:
4 bytes overhead less than GRE over IPSEC
    Cons:
Cannot transport CDP or MPLS or IPV6. Very limiting IMHO
