Prototype for IP

Hello,
We would like to create the prototype in IP and present it to the client.. can any one will me idea which would be best prototype whcih can be developed for client fior the presentation in Integrated Planning.
thanks in advance.
Thanks
Kapse

Hi Kapsek,
You can consider the following scenarios to implement simple solutions using Integrated Planning.
1. A standard timesheet to enter the values for the month, and based on the plan data, display of reports between actual and planned.
2. A simple budgeting application, with month input and input ready cells to the different categories of budgeting. And again reporting based on that.
3. A top-down or a bottom-up planning application like a salary planning application, where different hierarchies of users are involved,
Hope this helps.
Regards
Snehith.

    The max OS for all Macs with a PowerPC processor is Leopard OS 10.5.x.
    If you are going to consider getting a newer, but used, Mac, here's the requirements for Lion.
    Lion 10.7 System Requirements
        •    Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor (most models released since late 2006 - early Intel-based Macs with Core Solo or Core Duo processors aren't compatible)
        •    2GB of memory (recommend at least 4GB -- and ideally even more, as you'll see benefits in many computing tasks)
        •    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended) for Lion download from Apple App Store; or Leopard 10.5.x if using Lion on USB drive
        •    7GB of available space (10GB recommended)

  • Prototype for BMC Remedy using Oracle Identity Manager 9.0.3.

    Hi,
    I need to develop the connection prototype for BMC Remedy using Oracle Identity Manager 9.0.3.
    Is there any trail version of BMC Remedy to download, if its there can any one provide the link to download

    The connector usually starts by trying to connect to the target system so you probably won't get too much useful information into the logs if the target system isn't present.
    I have built "faked" target systems for connections that uses web services as it is easy to generate a web service that just writes the content of the call into a log. Depending on what kind of connection technology the Remedy connector is using this may or may not be an option.

  • Activities while doing a prototype for an upgrade

    Hi,
    Our client is planning to upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 and would like us to do a prototype (pilot)  for 6 weeks.My doubts are:
    1) What are the activities/tasks that we should carry out in these 6 weeks of assessment
    2) The client would like us to give him the technical upgrade approach. Please advise what is and should be the technical upgrade approach.
    3) What is SAP RBE (Reverse Business Engineering)? How do we execute this?
    4) Is there any way to know the screen level changes that will happen due to the upgrade, before actually upgrading to ECC 6.0
    5) What is PREPARE Script run? Who does this?
    Any help would be gretaly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mick

    Hi ,
    Cannot give the whold info but i would like to share some of the points i know.
    Initially when doing the upgrade the existing land scape is copied into the new landscape.
    SPAU & SPDD will be done for the repository . UCCHECK for all the code. Now the code has to be unicode compliant in ECC6.
    SAMT will be done for the code in additional check in the standard code.
    Now the technical upgrade approach will be the sequencing of operations of the above.
    Intially there will be a different landscape apart from the usual D->Q->P LINE.
    Once the repository is working fine in this the client will be shown to find the defects ,
    Here the client checks with the old system with the current ongoing functionality and confirms with the new land scape  in this scenrio. Once they are OK the same will be repilcated in the D->Q->P in the new ECC6.
    Techncal upgrade approach will be in correcting the code for Unicode complaint. This will be the major task in the upgrade.
    This is done in Normal ABAP code , Function modules , Interfaces , etc apart from your SPAU and SPDD of the system.
    Apart from these there will be code page conversions that need to be taken care of . Implementing new oSS notes .
    Screen level changes may happen to only 1-3% (Cannot comment on this since the module can be anything ).But there will be no major screen changes.
    Prepare script run will be the modular wise blue print execution which will be done by the concept owners(Client) and by our module leads .
    Br,
    Vijay.

  • Rapid Application Development & Rapid Prototyping for the iPhone

    Creating iPhone/iPod touch applications without programming knowledge: http://code.google.com/p/rappid/

    You state that:
    "Your application is automatically stored in a declarative format and ready to use immediately."
    I'm pretty sure that means your engine is interpreting the declaritive statements and used as an application.
    Apple is very specific about this one:
    "3.3.2 An application may not itself install or launch other executable code by any means including without limitation through the use of a plug-in architecture, calling other frameworks, other APIS or otherwise. No interpreted code may be downloaded and used as an Application except for code that is interpreted by Apple's published APIS and built in interpreter(s)"
    This means you can't write apps in Java, Flash, or Rapid Declarative Format. I think they did this very much on purpose.
    But, IANAL, so I could be wrong.
    You could get around it by generating code from your framework. My guess is that they might use the NDA to mess with that as well. But .. again, IANAL.

  • New window manager (with prototype!) [wmii-like] --- looking for help

    I have a prototype for a new window manager in the style of wmii. It is called
    cakewm. I currently have a prototype version implemented in pygame, and would
    like help moving this to use X---making it a real window manager.
    Disclaimer: I have a very limited knowledge of X11 and window manager
    development. The most I've done is add a couple new features to wmfs.
    To get the code
    > git clone git://github.com/saikobee/cakewm.git
    Then run main.py. cakewm depends on pygame.
    Upon running, press Alt-Enter to fullscreen cakewm and intercept keybinds, or
    Alt-Space to just intercept keybinds.  Press Alt-Esc to quit. The window
    manager related keybinds are listed in the file binds.conf.
    Config note: <WSCA-x> means Windows-Shift-Control-Alt-x
    Implementation note: pypixel.py is a large and mostly useless dependency. I
    forked a library I made previously rather than coding straight in pygame.
    cakewm's goals are to be similar to wmii, but with more functionality, easier
    configurability, and saner defaults.
    - cakewm is fully functional using the keyboard. Mouse support can come later.
    - cakewm provides 9 workspaces per monitor.
    - cakewm manages each workspace as a group of columns. Each column is like a
      wmii default split, except each window can have other windows "stacked" on
      top of or behind it.
    - cakewm manages column sizes (and window sizes within columns) using a
      master/slave paradigm, with the ability to adjust the size ratios.
    - cakewm's configuration file is simple key=val pairs, with the ability to
      include other files like in C.
    - cakewm has a slightly larger emphasis on window decorations (adjustable
      size---even in tiled mode) and themes (nothing bloated, like pixmaps or
      gradients---it's all still simple colors).
    - cakewm will have proper support for international text (Japanese text in
      window titles or the wmii status bar generally render as boxes) through the
      use of a more advanced text library such as Pango.
    Please let me know if you have comments, questions, or concerns. If you are
    interested in helping, get in touch with me. If you know somewhere better to
    look for volunteers, please let me know.

    It's a good idea to have compiz as the WM actually. Would it be lightweight to have it like that?
    Is there anybody here that uses compiz as a WM?
    For the xfce4-panel, is it possible to get transparency on it? That's probably the only thing holding me back with xfce4-panel.
    If "able to run compiz" wasn't a requisite, what other WM would you suggest for my "profile" ?
    I would like to hear other users opinions who like to customize everything on a WM.
    I recommend running Compiz by itself. There is a good wiki page on it in the Arch wiki. Some apps you'll want to go with it are:
    LXAppearance --change GTK/icon theme
    Feh or Nitrogen --Set Wallpaper
    Xfce4-panel --The lightest one that works with Compiz properly
    Or, if you don't want a panel: stalonetray
    Compiz-deskmenu --For a customizable right-click main menu
    Gmrun --Run dialog (Alt+F2 in most DEs)
    And this helped me a lot.
    Thank you all for the replies. I appreciate.
    Xfce4-panel can have transparency.  The only problem is that everything become transparent: text, icons, everything.
    I use Compiz as a standalone WM and it is much lighter than DE+Compiz. My Compiz setup uses about 30MB(out of 1GB) more RAM than my Openbox setup (which are both the same except for the WM).

  • Unable to Load USB Driver in LV for Total Phase's Aardvark I2C adaptor

    I have tried to instal Total Phase's Aardvark I2C USB driver for LabVIEW on two computers and two versions of LV (8.5 and 7.1) without success. The Windows driver seems to be working fine as their command center gui terminal-esque program works without a hitch, but the LV DLL doesn't seem to work.
    Attached is the very simple vi to find connected Aardvark USB devices (aa_find_devices). It always returns the same error code, 8002, which resolves to:
    AA_UNABLE_TO_LOAD_DRIVER
    -2
    unable to load USB driver
    From their documentation: http://www.totalphase.com/docs/aardvark_datasheet/sect005/#s5.9
    This looks like perhaps the LabVIEW DL, "aardvark.dll" maybe having a versioning issue. So my question is this: Using LabVIEW, how does one debug dll dependencies and resolve issues like this? Do I need the source code for the lib?

    Dear Joe,
    Let me start off by apologizing for the inconvenience you
    have gone through.  I am an engineer at Total Phase.  We are
    working on fixing this issue for our next release of the
    Aardvark LabVIEW Driver.  This forum post was only brought
    to our attention today.  In the future, you can also let
    Total Phase know about these kinds of issues by emailing
    [email protected]  We are very responsive through
    email or phone.
    The problem you are experiencing has to do with versioning
    issues between our DLL and USB driver.  Specifically, DLLs
    before v5.xx must use the older version of our USB driver.
    By replacing the DLL from our latest version of Control
    Center, you have effectively upgraded the DLL that the
    LabVIEW driver is using and made it compatible with v2.xx of
    the USB driver.
    The most likely reason that smercurio_fc did not see a
    difference between the DLL in Aardvark Control Center and
    the LabVIEW driver is because he is using an older version
    of Control Center and correspondingly an older version of
    the USB driver.
    The reason that we have not packaged the LabVIEW driver with
    latest DLL is due to the fact that a few functions have
    changed their function prototypes (for example aa_open_ext
    and aa_spi_write), and the VIs have not yet been updated
    accordingly.  Although updating the DLL solved your USB
    driver issue, it introduced this new issue.  If you try to
    use these certain VIs, LabVIEW will error out.
    We are currently working on updating the LabVIEW drivers to
    work cohesively with the new DLL and USB driver, and this
    should be available soon.  If you need immediate
    availability to the functions with new prototypes you will
    have to change it manually.  The other recommended option is
    to simply revert back to the DLL that is packaged with our
    LabVIEW driver and downgrade the USB driver back to v1.xx.
    I will make sure to post again once the update is released,
    and I once again apologize for the inconvenience.
    Best regards,
    Etai

  • Looking for an alternative to an enum (or any non trivial type)

    Hi. I am making a class to manage geometric points, as in [x, y, z]. some languages, such as scripting language 'adobe actionscript' support certain special values such as NaN (or 'not a number'), and I can do things such as
    var _some_var:Number = Number.NaN;
    the previous sentence is something like assigning null to a pointer. NaN is not a valid value, so I can not operate with a var that has nan as a value.
    I want to do something like that in my class, but I can not use a number value and then say, 'this value is never gonna happen by itself, so if the var has that value is because is in nan state. for any value that I choose, if is a valid value, will be enough
    to consider it as an invalid alternative. instead of that, the vars are handled in pairs, so for each numeric coordinate, such as x, there is also a bool that says if the numeric value is defined
    in each point, there are the x, y and z coordinates, plus defx, defy and defz.
    the constructor is something like
    point() {
    x= 0;
    y= 0;
    z= 0;
    defx = false;
    defy=false;
    defz=false
    and since all vars are private, I use accessors such as
    setX(double _x) {
    x = _x;
    defX = true;
    so how do I assign a NaN to a var that has already a value?, or, how do I set the var 'defX' to false again?
    since setX(_some_value) is the same as x = _some_value, the idea would be that I could write something like
    setX(NaN), and that would 'undefine' X.
    since I can overload functions, and create functions with different prototypes for different types of values, even though the functions are called the same way, that's what I am doing.
    I had two choices: the first one is (copy paste from my file)
    //#ifndef _nan
    //#define _nan
    //#define NaN "NaN"
    //#endif
    not the one I chose because it does not seem better than my second choice (that's why it appears as a comment), or does not solve the problem I have with the choices I have thought so far:
    (in file 'especiales.h')
    #ifndef _especiales
    #define _especiales
    enum EEspecial {NaN};
    #endif
    and in the file for the point definition (as inline functions)
    void setX(double _x) {
                    x = _x;
                    defX = true;
            void setX(EEspecial _e) {
                    if (_e == NaN)
                        defX = false;
                    else
                        throw coordIndefException();
            double getX();
            bool definidoX() {return defX;}
    it works, it does not throw an error or there are no syntax problems; but there is a problem in my head. In the previous sentences there are two functions, one that takes a numeric value and sets it in x, and sets x as defined. on that receives not a numeric
    value but a special value, that if it turn out to be nan, will unset the x var, and set it as undefined.I checked it with these simple lines:
        geometriaPunto _ensayo;
       try {
            _ensayo.setX(NaN);
            cout << _ensayo.getX() << "\n";
        } catch (exception _e) {
            cout << _e.what() << "\n";
    this works fine. if I place a 0 in setX, it will print 0. if I place a NaN in the parenthesis, it will write the exception name. This works fine. But as far as I know, all basic var types, and all enums, also have implicit conversions to numeric values.
    so even though it works here, as I understand, telling it setX(0) is the same as setX(NaN) (which would be the implicit conversion of NaN, since is the first value in the enum). none of those are double (because I did not wrote it as setX(0.0) ), so my guess
    is that even though it works here, it was just luck, and some other c compile may understand it different, since there is not much difference between function_name(int) or function_name(enum_type)
    what would be the best way, most clear way to overload 'setX()' so it does accept a type that can not be confused with a numeric value, yet it does not make my code way more obscure and does not create ambiguity?
    tnx

    this is the last post I will make on this thread, as I find your answers useless and I already have what I need, but concerning your answers:
    "You said it worked for you in your 'adobe actionscript' code - why wouldn't the same technique work in C++ code? Number.NaN is a Number value, and it doesn't prevent you from doing operations in a var that holds that value - but that didn't
    seem to concern you before."
    have you ever worked with actionscript or did you just post because you had to post anything. yes, I can assign NaN to a numeric var in actionscript, just like I can assign null to a pointer. null is a value (0), if I add something to a var that has null,
    it will not have null anymore, if the compiler or the executable don't verify this behavior that should throw an exception. In actionscript, if a var has nan and I add something to it, it will still have nan, because nan is not a value, is a state, and probably
    actionscriopt also handles numeric vars with some other types of vars, to make these kind of validations. If I add 1 to garbage, I will still have garbage, and if I choose a random value to be chosen as nan, I or anybody else can not assure this value will
    not be the result of a valid operation
    2. "Is your question about C#, and not C++? If it is, you are in the wrong forum."
    why do you ask, did you see the previous sentences written in c#, or do you still have to answer crap if you don't answer something related to the question. if somebody has been writing things in other languages (including java or the same actionscript,
    which support that kind of behavior for properties and accessors), seems logic that I want to maintain that programing style, which will help somebody who also has been writing in those languages and then tries to read this new source, written in c++

  • Do I need a C wrapper for my C++ API?

    I will be using LabVIEW to call a telemetry API.  There is a remote server which receives data and then relays it on to the clients.
    My LabVIEW program will be a client which communicates to the remote server using an API in the form of a .dll, I'll call it acquire.dll for the purpose of this conversation.  The programmer that maintains the server program and the acquire.dll does not want me to directly interface with the server via TCP/IP, he wants me to use acquire.dll to send arguments to the server and then receive data.  That way he can change the interface if needed without breaking my program.
    Acquire.dll has about 25 public functions.  It is written in C++, compiled with MS Visual Studio (2010 I think).  Acquire.dll searches the net for available servers, opens an object with the server, queries for a list of parameters available on the server, sends a list of parameters to acquire, gets calibration data from the server, reads data from the server, stops and resumes the read, and closes out the connection to the server when done.
    There are a few main read types.  I can tell the server to send data at a certain rate (up to 100 Hz), I can tell the server to send me a set of data every time it has a new value for a particular trigger parameter, or I can do manual polling where I just get the current values when I ask for them.
    Typical inputs are pointers to a null terminated string, bool, integers, float, double float, etc...
    Typical outputs are pointers to null terminated strings, integers, and pointers to binary data read by the acquire.dll. There is also a struct consisting of two integers.
    I am not a C or C++ programmer.  My programming experience is limited to LabVIEW and long ago, Fortran and VBA macros.  I do however have a couple C/C++ programmers available to me.  What is the best way to go about programming the interface?
    Can I directly interface with the C++ .dll?  Can I pass these data types directly into the library?  Can the import library function handle the inputs and outputs automatically, or would I need something like the MoveBlock function to read memory from pointers?  Can LabVIEW write my input data to ram and provide the dll with pointers to the strings and integers in a format that is compatible with C++ (null terminated)?
    Would I be much further ahead to write a C wrapper to interface to the C++ library?  Is it possible to get by without a wrapper?  Would the data types I mentioned be ok to interface with LabVIEW or should I be going for something simpler?
    Any advice to send me down on a path towards success would be appreciated.  Unfortunately, my company would not allow me to share any of their code, so I am a bit on my own to sort this out.  I've been reading everything Ic an find on the topic and playing with all the examples I can find.  I am pretty certain that I will need a C wrapper to avoid issues with names decorations and the like.  I tried already to import my C++ dll and I can't see any of the functions.  So, at a minimum, it would have to be recompiled.

    -Chris.

    If you can provide the function prototypes for the functions you want to call, that would help answer your questions with some specificity, and without your company revealing any of the logic. If that's still an issue, you can rename the functions and parameters. What's important is the datatypes.
    It sounds like your DLL only uses standard C datatypes (except bool, which is probably an integer). If so, then you don't need a C wrapper, because all the data types are ones that LabVIEW can already handle. The DLL programmer should declare all the functions as 'extern "C"' to avoid name mangling. Also make sure the C programmer didn't actually give you a .NET assembly or ActiveX component, which you could use in LabVIEW but through a different interface. That's a common reason why you can't see the functions you expect in a DLL.
    The Shared Library Import tool has improved and can handle many types of data, including some clusters/structures. Whether or not you'll need MoveBlock depends on exactly how the data is structured; there's no way to tell without more details. LabVIEW can definitely pass pointers to integers and strings to a DLL. For a block of arbitrary data, you'll need to allocate the array in LabVIEW (usually using Initialize Array) and then have logic in your LabVIEW code to interpret that data. You may need to swap endian-ness to get meaningful values.
    Again, if you can post actual function prototypes, even with the function and parameter names changed, that will make it possible to provide better help.

    Hi,
    I have run into the same problem with SOA 11.1.1.5 version. In my case after fixing the following two errors it seems to work fine.
    If you have followed the guide, there must be some errors:
    First the java code if copied then contains an extra enter value:
    Instead of:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization
    Administrator");"
    Use the following:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization Administrator");"
    The other error is that you should not use <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-manifest.jar, but the <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-api.jar in jdeveloper. After these the deployment to the application server works fine for me.

  • XCode 3.2 codesense not working for functions in OpenGL and GLUT frameworks

    I'm working on a small OpenGL project (coded in C), and am trying to make the switch from emacs to XCode 3.2, in part because I thought codeSense would be a great tool. I've successfully imported the project to XCode as an External Build System project, that is, I'm compiling using make with my own Makefile. Everything builds and launches fine now, I just have an issue with the codeSense auto completion.
    Auto complete is working fine for header files that I've defined myself and live locally in my project directory; I get full function prototype suggestions for any function I've defined myself. However, I never get suggestions for any function defined in the header files associated with OpenGL or GLUT frameworks.
    I have included references to the frameworks in my project, and they do show up as being associated with the project target when I look at the info associated with the framework. However, if I dive into the framework and click on individual header files and click on Info for those, those do not appear to be associated with the project target.
    I've rebuilt the codeSense index multiple times. This has no effect on my problem.
    The source code itself obviously links with the frameworks correctly, since my project runs and looks fine.
    I guess my question is twofold: Will CodeSense give me prototypes for frameworks associated with my project? If so, are there any suggestions out there to get me on my way?

    This appears to be a conflict between the static code analysis tools (Clang) and CodeSense. See
    http://www.openradar.appspot.com/7338181
    I turned off the "Run Static Analyzer" build setting and clicked on the "Rebuild Code Sense Index" under general and it solved the problem for me. However, I want static code analysis too.

  • Best Practice Document required for MDM

    Hi All,
    I am currently working on MDM and need best practice document so that I can create a prototype for the customer.
    In case SAP is not having any Best Practice doc, please share if you have any similar doc used or created for your project.
    It would help me to create good prototype.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vikas
