I am using an IOS7 iPhone the problem is that whenever I gave my phone to friends they try to access to my private data like Facebook , Whatsapp , Viber , Contacts and even much more stuff which I don't want them to go through.All I want is an app that help me to lock/protect individual apps with a Passcode in order to have privacy.I have gone through so much discussions all leading to just one result "you can't do so".Please help me that is apple going to give out any feature if when and is apple going to allow any same kind of app on Apple store.

I am no longer able to turn off cellular data usage for individual apps. When I turn most of them off, they just automatically reset themselves to allow data usage. Any thoughts?

I am definately having the same problem and cannot believe there are no answers or even support that this problem exists. I never have to post on forumns, I read what is usually readilly availiable for the craziest of problems.
Anyways, the problem is just that, I can toggle off a individual app's setting of cellular data availability, but it changes right back on rescreening. After restarting, resetting etc, it seems that the big Apple Apps are the biggest offenders. Music is a very important one, Podcasts can kill you very quickly, app store, Photos, Facetime, Stocks?!?!?!
When one searches for solutions I have to see hundreds of links to "How great is ios7, you can turn off cellular data for individual apps FOR DUMMIES!". I am a dedicated apple fool since the Apple IIe (long time), but when they run afowl it is usually really bad. Why offer an on/off switch if the setting is always on?
I am writing just to add support to the existence of this problem, not so much for people to offer ideas of solutions as I now believe it is in the coding.

Right, so you have a couple of choices. One is to come up with
your own design, post it, and ask for suggestions. The other is
to mail somebody your requirements docs and a fat check and
have them do it for you. I'm happy to help with either of those.
What you can't do is say "I have a system, design it for me"
without making any attempt to do it yourself or providing anything
in the way of requirements and expect us to come up with

The developer says that he posted a fixed version before 3.0 was released yet no release has been made available to the users. As Thomas pointed out, there is no way to do exactly what you want. You can have some influence over appliccation priorities using Peek-a-Boo.

I have a bug to report regarding the App Store, but there seems to be no place to do that. The closest is iTunes, but ever there the feedback areas don't cover the App Store.

Providing locking for a thread spaned by the Timing service

          I have a cluster where each member in the cluster has a thread started by
          the timing service. This is a queue manager(If JMS destinations had
          supported failover i would have implemented it with JMS). I want to be sure
          that just one of the threads in the cluster runs. If one is running the
          other threads should be blocked. How can I get this functionality?
          1. By adding an object to the JNDI context that is shared in the cluster.
          The thread will take this object and call a method witch is synchronized?
          Will synchronized methods work on a object in a JNDI Context?
          2. By envokeing a Entiety bean in a transaction in the thread. The other
          threads will be blocked until the thread that is running ends the
          transaction.

I am looking for an app lock for iOS8, which lock all apps on my phone.
Previously, Iwas using Android in which I used smart app protector app, which help me to lock all app I have on my phone and also provide facility of fake lock.
Apps present in App Store as app lock, only lock photo, video, note, download and audio.
I want to lock other apps too, like whatsapp, hike, messenger etc. but, no app is present.
Please help me out.

You would have to search the app store, however I'm not aware of any app that will lock multiple apps. There is nothing native in the iOS that allows for locking individual apps or all apps. Feedback to Apple goes HERE, and then click on the appropriate link.

There is no way to lock the built-in email app. You can remove the password from the Mail, Calendars, Contacts settings, but you'd have to readd and remove that every time, probably not very practical. There are third-party apps that have a login feature within the app, so one of those might work for you. Or you can just use a web interface to your email, if your provider offers that, though many web interfaces don't work very well with mobile web browsers.
Alternatively, if your students just use a single app at any given time, you can lock the iPad to that app via Guided Access:

No third-party app can do what you want as those apps do not have access to iOS as a whole. They are (for the most part) sandboxed, and cannot directly access other apps.

There are apps for locking individual apps if iPad is jail broken, but I don't want to have to jail brake my iPad. I am trying to protect my grand kids for going to bad web sites. I can hide Safari, Utube, but not other web browsers that I have down loaded. I don't want to have to delete these and then reload them. Why can't Apple create this one simple app?

iOS is a sandboxed environment, so apps can't control other apps. If you have other browser apps downloaded then you can possibly hide them when your grandchildren are using it by setting an app age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions (some browsers 17+ age ratings due to which sites you could potentially go to).
If it's an iPad 2 or 3 then with iOS 6 in the Autumn there will also be new accessibility functions if you want to limit them to just the one app - from here :
It allows a parent, teacher, or administrator to limit an iOS device to one app by disabling the Home button, as well as restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen.

There are password wallets that can do SOME of what you seem to ask for - though not entirely by application.
Look at Lastpass & 1 Password, just as 2 examples. (Others may suit you as well, or better).
Are you talking about 2 step verification type of process?
That will generate a separate password for 3rd party apps, such as calendar helpers without requiring you to provide such developers with your actual Apple passwords: they get their own.
