I'm using epm 11.1.1. can any help for starting the provider server service.
Is there installer for provider services

Hello I am trying to install Oracle EPM 11.1
The main aim being get the SmartView working with OBIEE integrated. I am having problems with configuring the components. One of the Oracle tech guys says install Shared services+provider services+smart view then it should work.
I installed them. but while configuring them I am struck at configuring database. I am sure the DB details I gave are correct as I am able to connect to the same from outside of EPM.
Please guide me to as to how to install and configure the same.
Any help/suggestions in this regard is verymuch appreciated.

Background: Using 11g db, Essbase Spreadsheet Add-In works, Can connect to Admin Server and Essbase with EAS, all Windows services start up fine, installed as 'Deploy Essbase in standalone mode'.
Problems:
1. I get the following error trying to connect the SmartView Add-In in Excel to Provider Services:
Cannot connect to provider. The attempt to connect to the server failed. Make sure the server is running in the specified URL.
Here is my URL: http://localhost:13080/aps/SmartView (I've also tried substituting in my hostname.)
2. I get the following error trying to connect to the Hyperion Provider Server with EAS:
URL http://localhost:13080/aps/APS is not reachable. Please enter another Analytic Provider Services URL.

I installed EPM 11.1.1.2 on *"BOX1"* (Essbase stand alone mode) and EPM11.1.1.2 on *"BOX2"* (Essbase stand alone mode)
The provider server creation is giving me trouble on Box1 as it says *"URL http://Servername:13080/aps/APS is not reachable. PLease enter another Provider Services URL"*
I tried with localhost @servername(as I was trying to connect from the Box1 only) Stil its not able to create.
I went to services and checked the "Hyperion Provider Services - WebApplication" service and I restarted to make it work several times and still the same problem.
Where as, I'm able to create a Provider Server on *"BOX2"*
I need your expertise advise on why this problem is on my *"BOX1"* and how to get rid of this problem?
I checked with netstat -ae command to see the server port# 13080 is listening too.
Any help is well appreciated and very useful for me!!

When I try this URL http://<ourservername>:13080/aps/smartview, I get the following:

That's it!
On a different server of ours, we see this additional information below the Hyperion Provider Services e.g.

Error While creating ABAP Consumer Service using Provider service WSDL.

HI Friends,
We are trying to consume service from Provider service.
Provider service is developed on CE 7.11-NWDS7.11 and published in CE7.11 registry.(used outside in method and implemented in EJB/Deployed/Published/tested) sounds good.
We are trying to consume in ABAP (ECC 6.0 EHP4 SPS16).
when we are trying to create service consumer from se80 selected url : provider WSDL picked up from from Service registry.
At the end of wizard its throwing error.
error description.
Message Policy in Name space "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/policy " is not unique in WSDL.
Unable to generate proxy.
Any pointers to resolve this.

I would suggest to test the service in XML Spy using the same WSDL or the URL of the WSDL. If XML Zpy throws the same error, there could be some problem in the provider service generation itself..!!

I'm having a similar issue now. I have noticed that when i navigate to the URL in the error message, if you keep it at $STS it throws a 400 error. If you change it to $sts (lower case) it navigates fine (but throws an error regarding to not having the
credentials properly, which should be expected). I am waiting on a solution, but if this helps you, then good.

JCo RFC Provider Service

This topic may be not relevant to this forum but has anyone used JCo RFC Provider service for maintaining RFC Destinations?
What I am trying to do is to store the RFC Destinations over here and have a lookup on JCo RFC Provider service (or on its program id) from mapping tool.My code looks like
javax.naming.Context ctx = new InitialContext();
ctx.lookup("JCo RFC Service"); or
ctx.loopup("Program id name");
But while testing it gives Object Not Found exception.
I am expecting it to return JCO object which I can use to connect to SAP for executing RFCs.

Did u check if the Prog Id mentioned in JCo RFC provider is running (started in visual admin).
Did u perform ur lookup properly

How can you manage ssl service provider service in PI 7.1?

Hello there..
I am trying to find a place in Netweaver admin tool so that I can add CA certificate into the SSL provider service Trusted Certification Authorities list. I use to be able to do that in Visual Admin tool -> dispatcher node -> Services -> SSL Provider -> Runtime tab -> Client Authentication, but now I cannot find anywhere in the NetWeaver Admin tool.

Once you login to the NWA, follow this path
Configuration Management -> Security -> Certificate and keys ->
You need to import the client certificate under ICM_SSL_xxx and you can find SSL_Provider if you scroll completly down. You need to import the private key of the client certificate under ICM_SSL_xxx.
You have even Trusted CA's under this list. Please let me know if you have any problems.

How to change time out settings in Analytic Provider Service...

... or how to disable automatic disconnect between APS and essbase server (using XMLA interface).
First a short summary:
We would like to use a third party product to analyze data (DeltaMaster from Bissantz). This product uses the XMLA interface provided by Analytic Provider Service. Mostly the connection works, I can choose one of our cubes, sometimes a drill down is possible, but sometimes the following error occurs:
"Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdErrorResponseException: (1042006): Network Error [10061] Unable To Connect To [entwgdw.hres.de:33769]. The client timed out waiting to connect to the Essbase Agent using TCP/IP. Check youer network connections. Also please make sure that Server and Port values are correct [...]"
I have already talked to the Bissantz support concerning this issue and the recommended me to increase the APS time out settings and/or to disable the automatic disconnect between APS and essbase server after every query.
The question is: Is this possible and if yes: How and where can I change these settings???

You could look at updating the essbase.properties file in the APS installation directory.
olap.server.netRetryCount=600
olap.server.netConnectRetry=3
olap.server.netDelay=200
olap.server.netSocketTimeOut=200
Update then restart APS
Though this might not be the issue if on windows, it may be down to the amount of ports being used, have a read [here |http://timtows-hyperion-blog.blogspot.com/2007/12/essbase-api-error-fix-geeky.html ] for a possible fix.

You need to work out how to identify a Contractor.
Your contractors need to be setup as Suppliers in Oracle, Suppliers have Classifications (Type) and perhaps your Payables team always use a specific Supplier Type for contractors ... or maybe not!
If they use a Supplier Type to identify contractors then your query might be something like the following (assuming you don't want to consider tax/freight/etc.):

Your contractors need to be setup as Suppliers in Oracle, Suppliers have Classifications (Type) and perhaps your Payables team always use a specific Supplier Type for contractors ... or maybe not!
If they use a Supplier Type to identify contractors then your query might be something like the following (assuming you don't want to consider tax/freight/etc.):

We are getting the below error while undeploy and deploy the Watched folder Application,
Reason of failure is-----Failure to invoke the job Watched folder
Failure to invoke the job Watched folder
Service :Watched folder is not in a RUNNING STATE
ALC-DSC-600-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.provider.service.scheduler.impl.SchedulerRuntimeExc eption: Failure to invoke the job Watched folder error while undeploy and deploying the Watched folder applicaiton.

Please go to adminui as below, filter the WatchedFolder service, select it and click on start.
If it is unable to start from there, go to workbench
· In file menu, Window->Show View->Components
· Search for WatchedFolder, right click and stop component(if not already stopped). Again right click and choose uninstall.
· Now scroll up and go to Components(folder icon as below), choose Install Component.., browse to <Adobe Livecycle ES4 folder>/deploy and choose “adobe-fileprovider-dsc” jar file.
· Again check for WatchedFolder and start it by right clicking.
Now try to deploy the application.

How to use JCo Provider Service w/Sneak Preview and Test Drive

I have both SAP Web AS Sneak Preview (6.40) and MiniWas 6.20 Test Drive installed on a single system. I have implemented a Java server program which can be RFC called from an ABAP program using JCO.
The only disadvantage to this process is that I must manually run the server program each time I bring up the J2EE system.
I would like to set things up so that when I start the WebAS 6.40 J2EE system, the server function can be automatically registered (if I'm using the correct terminology - not at all sure about that...). It looks to me that I should be able to use JCo Provider Service to do what I want to do, but I don't know how to do any of the session bean creation and I esp. can't seem to find out how to run the J2EE Visual Administrator, which the documentation I've found leads me to believe needs to be used.
Is there a tutorial, or example, that will lead me through this entire process? I have the ABAP calling program working OK, and I have the Java JCo server program working ok - I just want to create something in Java that will operate like a good old C Language function installed as an RFM.
Can anyone help? Is it possible?

Well, I guess I'm stuck at the first step.
As I understand it, I have to use the Visual Administrtor to register the Web AS 6.40 Sneak Preview system as an RFC destination. When I bring up the Visual Administrator, it has essentially two tabs showing: Dispatcher and Server. It's inviting me to define a connection and Login. So, Q1: Is it inviting me to login to the J2EE or the Web AS? Either way, I am never able to login - I get this error:
com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException: Cannot create new RemoteLoginContext
I used all of the NetWeaver sneak preview defaults when installing, and I recorded these:

Q2: Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do with the Sneak Preview system?

DDIC
Is it one of these I should be logging onto?
Also, Visual Administrator wants a port specified on the J2EE Engine connection paramters - what port should I be specifiying?

Setup Windows Azure Workflow - Add-WFHost error "WF_Management/WFTOPIC" and token provider service

i want to install the new windows azure workflow manager and service bus on my sharepoint 2013 server.
All works fine in setup. I got the Powershell-Script from the wizard and configured it to meet my requierments.
I start it and get to the last point "add-wfhost".
Here i got following error:

I installed it on a sharepoint 2013 box server (AD, DNS, SQL and SP on one maschin).
I know this is not supported, but it should work. Im loged in as the service account for the workflow. I've granted the domain admin rights and sql sysadmin /dbowner rights.
Now my answer is:
It is not the "normal" error with the wf_management/WFTOPIC. What is this token provider service and why he tries the port 9355. I dont use ssl, so how can i change the request url or how do i have to set it up correct?

When you say 'setup gateway correctly' what do you mean?
How was your gateway setup and what did you change?
I have the same problem, and despite removing all proxy settings, i am still having this issue. I can navigate fine to the 'WorkflowDefaultNamespace' and get a RSS Feed type of page, but when i add the $STS/Windows Virtual Directories, i get a 400 Bad Request.

SLD Data Provider Service

Can I access SLD Data Provider service using NWA instead of using Visual Administrator? I looked into Configuration of NWA under Application and could not find screens similar to VA. I was successful in finding JDBC Resources.

I am not sure,but you can try out this option.
1.Go to http://hostname:http port/nwa page.
2.give administrator credentials to logon to the page.
3.at the left hand side,for System Landscape selection,
give Local system administration.
4.Then at the tabs at the top,Select deploy and change tab.
Under that,u will get a configuration wizard page.
Underconfiguration wizard,u will get a task name tab.
type sld there and enter.
You will get a list of Templates under it.
You eill get an option of,
Creating connections to sld and setting SLD autorizations...........
If you select that,you will have template configurator installed,where you can enter all details of SLD Data supplier.
This would help you.
