Provisioning Windows Server 2012 R2 takes long time

I created a simple bluerpint with one Windows Server 2012 R2 machine and using Linked Clone deployment in vCAC. The entire provisioning process is taking a very long time (> 1 hour). It looks like most of the time is spent in CustomizeOS work flow step. What could be the issue? I didn't find any logs to figure out where it's spending time. Can you help me fix this issue?

I was able to fix this issue. There is a new Guest Agent for Windows Server 2012 R2. See VCAC 6.0.1 Windows 2012 guest agent stuck

HP EVA 8100 - HSV210 - Windows Server 2012 disk display three times

Hi together
I have a problem with a HP EVA 8100 and the Windows Server 2012. When im presenting the disks in the HP Command View to the Server, the harddisk is display three times in the disk management.

On the server i had install all the drivers etc.

When we meet the disk id conflict we can try to changed the disk ID of the disk id, you can use uniqueid to generate the new disk.

RDS 2012 R2 take long time while opening first application

Hello experts:
My RDS Environment Have the following servers:
1- Two web access server ( RR DNS )---> virtual machines
2- Two Connection brokers servers (RR DNS) ---> Virtual machines
3- Two host session servers combined as a farm ---> Physical machines with 128 GB of RAM for each server
4- There is no gateway server.
5- The Active Directory is 2008 R2 while the RDS is 2012 R2
My problem is when the users try to access published application they faced a long time ( around 1 min ) to open the first app, the subsequent app open quickly, the problem on when launch the first app.
I tried the following in order to solve the problem with no luck:
- Edit the registry and add DisableTaskOffload with value =1.
- Disable the large send offload v2 IPv4 on all NIC's.
so the problem still exist and i didn't found any solution for it, any help or suggestion will highly appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have a environment to build the exact script on, however I would think the below script should be able to help you:

The above script really just opens an IE and navigates to the specified page. Finds the different required elements on the page(View Source to find) and manipulates them as required. ().Click etc.
You properly need to add a Username and Password, in order to login, which the script should be able to handle fine. Do consider the risk of storing username/password in cleartext. - Its not necessarily a problem, but it could be if the account needs elevated
privileges. However in this case it should just be a service user with 1 app to start :)

SCCM 2012 Deployment takes long time to install

I'm trying to deploy some executables files in a collection of 900 pc, but for some reason, some pc takes until 4 days to show the deployment as Succeded, the other 896 pc takes the deploymen in the next 2 hours I created it.

This issue occurs for one of the following reasons:
The dependency services for Network Discovery are not running.
The Windows firewall or other firewalls do not allow Network Discovery.

SSRS 2012. ReportServer takes long time to be up.

Hi guys,
I am using SSRS as my reporting platform, but I have always got the following issue.
SSRS ReportServer takes time to load.
The first time takes long, then less time but only if the ReprotServer web page is continuosly retrived.
HERE the problem:
If the ReprotServer page is not used after a short time (let me say 10 min), the page takes long time to be up again.
I have checked the configuration that is set as for default 12 hours.
Is there a way to speed up the ReportServer opening page time?

According to your description, you want to optimize the performance of your report. Right?
In this scenario, when your report page is not active for a short time, it will take long time to render again. This is because the you have the report timeout. You can select "Do not timeout report" in Processing. Please refer to the link below:

Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS + User profile Disks + App-V = Explorer.exe crashing all of the time

I have built a new RDS farm on Windows Server 2012 R2 with two Session Hosts and a combined Connect Broker/Web Access server. I had the farm up and running with User Profile Disks and all seemed OK. However, as soon as I installed the App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS
client on the session hosts, the explorer.exe process started crashing for any user logging in via the Web Access site. The process crashes and restarts every five to ten seconds. It's the same for administrators. If they log in via Web Access explorer.exe
crashes, but if they RDP directly to one of the session hosts explorer.exe is fine. If I reboot the session hosts, then the first user to log in via Web Access has a stable desktop session (and appears to have a new profile as well). However, if that user
logs out and back in again, explorer.exe starts crashing again. The only applications I have packaged at the moment are Office 2013 and Firefox.
I tried disabling User Profile Disks, but this caused a whole bunch of other problems and I eventually lost the ability to log in at all via Web Access (errors about the user profile service). As this is a small pre-production environment I completed scrapped
all of the servers and rebuilt from scratch. Again, everything appeared fine until I installed the App-V client, then explorer.exe started crashing repeatedly for all users.
Has anyone come across this issue before? I have tried installing the App-V 5.0 SP2 Hotfix Package 2, but this didn't help. I have read in a few forums that App-V doesn't work very well with User Profile Desks, but I have not heard of this particular issue.
Similarly, SP2 seems to have a lot of problems, so I am going to try removing App-V RDp Client SP2 and installing SP1. I ahev also deleted User Profile Disks for the test users to recreate their profiles, but this didn't help either.
Any other suggestions welcome!

Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials will only recognize 1 USB drive at a time in primordial pool

I have a new install of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. I added 2 identical 2TB Seagate Expansion USB drives. Initially they had a volume on them, so I deleted the volume in order for them to be added to the primordial pool and storage spaces,
etc. They both show up fine in Disk Management, but only 1 of them at a time will show up in the primordial pool. I have tested moving them to different USB ports, trying only 1 disk at a time to ensure that both are good, rebooted, attached them via
a USB hub... but nothing works. In my most recent test I plugged in only one and did a rescan. I see it as Disk 1 in both Disk Management and Primordial pool. Then I added the second drive and did a rescan, it showed up as Disk 2 in Disk Management
and when I did a refresh in storage spaces, I can see that it changed to only see disk 2 in the primordial pool. What can be causing this?

To use USB disks, each disk must be plugged into a differs USB controller. A hub will obviously be on one controller, so that won't work. But many computers have only one or two controllers on the motherboard and then use port multipliers (basically internal
hubs) to support more ports. So you have to know your motherboard and which ports are on which controllers. And again, only one drive per controller.

Having trouble getting "Set action to take when logon hours expire" to work - Windows Server 2012

I have a Windows Server 2012 server that allows remote desktop users (sessions are hosted on the server itself). I'm trying to enforce logon hours for these remote desktop users.
I have specified logon hours for a user and confirmed that they work--they aren't allowed to logon when logon hours are disabled. However, they are allowed to continue a session past their logon hours limit if they are already signed in (which is fine, this
is the default behavior).
However, when I try to use the `Set action to take when logon hours expire` option (`User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Logon Options/Set action to take when logon hours expire`), and set the behavior to "Logoff",
nothing happens--the user can continue their session happily. I've tried applying this policy both for the user's group and for the local computer. I've run `gpresult` for the user and confirmed that the policy is apparently in place.
I also naively tried the "Force logoff when logon hours expire" option, but that apparently doesn't apply to interactive logins (confusing!).
Am I misapplying this setting, or do I need to take some other steps to get it to work? I'd be grateful for any input. Thanks!

We can log off and log on again to see whether the setting gets applied.

Windows Server 2012 Member Server Time Sync Issue.

We are running in a situation where our Windows Server 2012 member Server not syncing the time from Domain Controller
Time Source is pointing to Local CMOS Clock.
Trying to Sync forcefully it getting the error as the computer did not resync because no time data available.
Performed unregistered the time service and registered the service same issue.

Download Updates for Windows Server 2012 R2 Security Baseline..every time I open SCM

Each and every time I open SCM, I am prompted to download the Windows Server 2012 R2 Security Baseline 1.0 Fr, August 15 2004... Doesn't matter if I've installed it before or not.
Anyone else seeing this problem? Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can get it to stop? I tried uninstalling SCM and reinstalling, but the problem continues.
SCM is installed on a Windows 7 virtual machine, if that is relevant.
