You can use 'File Attachment' option in the form which will allow the user to attach documents to the application.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

I had the same problem. It fixed itself when I opened Internet Explorer (I don't normally use it). I was opening Support Portal to get some support help, but I'm not sure if it was the page or simply opening IE that did the trick.

When I choose protect a document in any end user machine, does it connect with AD RMS server to get a certificate and encrypt the content, or does not use at all AD RMS services? What about when choosing to protect with an AD RMS template distributed
to end users?

Hi Ardi -
The first time a user creates or consumes protected content, they must contact the RMS server to "bootstrap". In this process, the user obtains certificates to identity them within the context of RMS.
Once a user has bootstrapped, he or she can create protected protected content without access to the RMS server.
To open protected content, a user must connect to the AD RMS server to obtain a "use license".

JRE ignores proxy setting for connections to non-standard web ports

Hi,
I've noticed that JRE would not use the proxy settings if the application tries to connect to a web address on a non standard http port. If port 80, 443, 8080 etc is used, the proxy is used but if it's something like 32938 it's not. Is there anyway to disable this behaviour and just have the proxy used for all HTTP traffic, regardless of destination port. Below a trace snippet that shows the behaviour.

Is setting up of proxy needed for connection?

Hi, I'm trying to establish a dialup connection through the return channel of an emulator. The modem did dial up, but the connection is never established since the ConnectionEstablishedEvent is never received after the modem finishes dialing.
The connection must have hang there although the application is still able to run since connecting is asynchronous. I can�t disconnect it although I can release the resource. When I rerun the application again, the ConnectionFailedEvent is thrown. I�ve to restart the computer or reinstall the modem in order for the computer to detect the modem.
I was thinking this might be due to the fact that I did not put in proxy settings. Does the return channel API allow me to put in both the proxy�s IP address and port number?

I've solve the problem. It either lies with the emulator or that the emulator is incompatible with my Windows 2000. When I tried my code with Xletview, it works perfectly.

I am having trouble with the updates to firefox. Each time I start it I get a page that says proxy server refusing connections and have to reinstall the old version just to use the internet. That also removes the personas from my browser.

I currently have version 3.0.10 and have gotten two prompts to upgrade my version of firefox and each time I do install the new version and then try to start up Firefox, I get a page instead that says proxy server is refusing connections and the only way to browse is to re-install the old version. I also have to re-install the old version at least 3 times before I can use Personas.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".<br />

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy

Approving applications for emacs and intelimacs through WGM in Leopard

We are in the process of approving applications in Workgroup Manager with Leopard 10.5.2 across the board on emacs and intelimacs. We are having a problem with approving applications to work on both types of computers. For example, if we approve Firefox in Workgroup Manager, on an intelimac the applications as a user will not work on the emacs. On the other hand, if we approved the application on an emac, it will not work as a user on the intelimac. We have had success on most of the applications but not all. What are we missing? Thanks.

Just in case anyone is having the kind of problem I was facing a few days ago, the solution is that the client machines must be Mac os x 10.6.4 and above. After upgrading the client machines to 10.6.4, I could apply the policies, specify the kind of applications I wanted users and computers to run using WGM.
I'm not saying this is an expert solution, but it sure did work for me.

not Azure allow me to replace myapp.cloudapp.net with my own custom domain? I end up having two domains for one site. Please look at this site:

That custom domain name also has an SSL certificate from a CA. In addition to that, I also use single sign on for my application (Identity and Access). In this case, I configure the Identity and Access (realm of my application) with my custom domain name.

Default Application for .cbr and .rar Files

Okay, I know to change the default application used for opening a file you click on "Get Info", and then "Change All". A couple of weeks ago, the default for .rar files was UnRarX, and the default for .cbr was Jomic. I used Onyx to do some clean-up (repair permissions, etc), and the default program changed. Now whenever I change the default program for either .rar or .cbr, the other changes as well. I know that a cbr is technically a rar file, just for comic books, which is why I need it to open in a different program, I can't figure out how I got it to work before, can anyone help?
