Proxy error with subversion read access test

Hi,
I specified the following repository URL: [http://l0762.domain.local/svn/io_se/trunk] and added username/password for this subversion server.
I get the following error stack when doing 'Test Read Access':

Access refused.
In the generic preferences settings for Web Browser and Proxy, I have specified the proxy server, port number and even username/password for this proxy. The "Test Proxy" works fine. The exception list contains the l0762.domain.local. I also tested with *.domain.local.
Any ideas?

The problem is resolved by removing the proxy preference.

Hello,
Getting an "out of memory" error with Adobe Reader X & IE8. This is a locked down bank environment so upgrading to a higher version of Adobe is out of the question.
I looked around on the web and noticed that many people are experiencing this "out of memory error" but no fix has been provided.
Can you help?

Thanks for the reply and suggestion - unfortunately, I get this error when I open Adobe Reader X itself in addition to launching a pdf within IE9 (my OS is Win7x64 Ultimate). I can launch Adobe Reader X, but when I open any kind of PDF file (local copy, remote, web, etc...) the error dialog box pops up. Everything seems functional with Reader, it's just a frustrating (er, irritating!) thing! I think after the weekend I will 'give up' and remove the Reader X and go back to my 'old' (but functioning!) Reader - thanks for the comment and suggestion tho!

Runtime error with Adobe Reader 9.x and IE

I'm getting a runtime error with any adobe reader 9.x and Internet Explorer whenever a .pdf is being viewed online. It will pull the .pdf up and then pop up a runtime error window and close it down completely. It is only happening with individuals that have redirected app data folders and profiles. I have all machines running Windows XP sp3 and IE8. I know, I know, I can always go to Firefox or Chrome, but IE is easily managed with group policy lockdowns. I can unintall reader 9.x and then reinstall 8.x and it works perfectly. The only problem with that is that I have to go do every machine and physically uninstall since I buildt the windows xp installer package with it. Does anyone know a workaround or if adobe is going to get it fixed pretty soon?

I am experiencing exactly the same problems on one of two identical machines after something happened in the registry.
The first problem that appered was an error 1325 "Favorites is not a valid short name".
I did find the registry key involved (%userprofile%\Favorites) and fixed it.
So now the the next one: yours.
I think the solution can be found in the list of registry keys that Adobe Reader is accessing.
btw Eusing registry cleaner did not find this key to be in error.
Problem is that the Reader does not ask for an alternative location after stumbling on the key.
Who can gnerate a list of keys accessed?

File does not begin with '%pdf' error with adobe reader 10.1.5 onwards

In our web application we are using activePDF toolkit (3rd party component) to fill up carrier forms on the fly which are PDF files.
The output file processed by the above library works fine when opened with adobe reader 8, 9 and10 on end user’s browser (IE); however, it gives below error when opening with adobe reader 11.
Till now, we have tried different settings at IIS level, Internet explorer e.t.c. suggested on different internet posts. However, we are still facing the problem.
While analyzing this we have come across following link

According to this adobe 10.1.5 onward file should only start with "%pdf". If file start with other than this we get file corrupted message.
Before we can communicate this message to client we want to confirm this for experts. Please let me know my assumption is right?

but when i trying to connect to http://www.yahoo.com i get this error message:

AcroExch Error with Abobe Reader (11.0.03)

I work on a helpdesk, and we keep getting people with the following error while trying to embed PDFs into Word documents. "The program used to create this object is AcroExch. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install AcroExch or ensure that any dialog boxes in AcroExch are closed." I tried most of the obvious things to solve this problem (repaired Office and Reader, reverted back to an older version of reader, ran C Cleaner). I also tried some more obscure things like deleting old keys from the resistry manually and things of that nature. I don't know what else to try. There seem to be some fixes for this problem in Adobe Reader X, but based on what I've seen, none of these work in Reader XI. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I had the same problem! When I try to import a pdf object in word it gave a Package or an AcroExch error, if I'm using the drag and drop method or the insert-object menu, respectively.
System: Win7 SP1 64bits EN + Office 2010 Professional 64bits EN + Acro Read 11 EN
I did a survey among several computers at my workplace and discovered that only the computers with Win7 64 + Office pro 64 combo have this problem. I removed both Office 64bits and Acro Reader and installed the Office 32bits version. Afterwards reinstalled the Acro Reader (same version). The problem never appeared again. It seams an issue with the 64bits version.
Previously, I also tried the most common solutions found on Internet and none of them solved the problem.

Text/html processing error with Acrobat Reader when sending to database

Hi everyone,
I have a problem that occurs in certain versions of the Acrobat Reader, with Acrobat Professional the error message does not pop up.
In Acrobat Reader however, when sending the form to a php file to fill a database an error pops up
"Content type text/html couldn´t be processed"
Nevertheless it works fine, except the fact that the confirmation "successfully sent" that should pop up (and does in Acrobat Professional) does not appear due to this processing error. What can I do?

See this discussion where event.target.path.toString().substring(0, 4); was used to get the first four letters of the path. If that equalled "http", then the form was opened in a browser.

Internal Error with Adobe Reader 9.3

We have a web browser application(ASP) that receives a fax and saves it as a PDF. We have people who go in and assign the individual faxes to different individuals to work. We were using Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and upgraded to Adobe Reader 9.3. Since we have upgrade to version 9.3, a few people are getting an error "An internal error occurred" from adobe reader. They are constantly opening the pdf files and assigning them to individuals to work. They have to go into task manager and end task and then restart Internet Explorer. Once they do that, they are abele to open the pdf with no problems. It seems that they get this error once or twice during the day. Any suggestions?

You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.

Pictwpstops error with acrobat reader

I recently downloaded Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 so I could enter information in a smart PDF file and print. But when I tried to print, I got an error message: pictwpstops - got an error disposing of document. I tried repairing permissions, then I downloaded the latest printer driver (I'm using an HP Deskjet 842c), deleted the old printer in Printer Setup, and reinstalled it with the new driver, but those didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions?
dual usb ibook Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I'm having the same problem, but I get one of two errors: either "pictwpstops" or "pstopdffilter." I have an HP deskjet connected directly via USB to my ibook.
I've turned my printer off, I've reset my printer, I've use CUPS to reset, I've deleted the com.adobe preferences. I also read somewhere that you can try adding a second version of your printer, and THEN deleting the original but that's not working. I'm not sure what else to do.

I am trying to create some JSF apps with JDeveloper and running into some issues. I've tried the tutorials and a couple simple projects. However, I am getting errors when trying to run it. Lookout 5.1 - errors with recoursive text expression : test process

I've developed an example with one recoursive text expression that doesn't work correctly.
The lookout verion is the 5.1.
Normally I use this expressions when I develop HMI applications and the example represent the 1% of this expressions.

The value on "Recursive text expression" will never be different of a saved and not modified value, unless you make a modification in your process file and save the modifications.

DDE Errors with Adobe Reader 9.3.4

Hi,
I'm trying to develop an assistive technology for blind people to use PDF-documents in a planar and two dimensional way. In this manner I would like to control the AdobeReader to show a document automatically in the way I could best handle it.
So I try to send AdobeReader via DDE protocol to execute some menu entries.
E.g. [MenuitemExecute(FitPage)],[MenuitemExecute(SinglePage)] or [AppShow()]
I us the server name "acroview" and the topic name "control“. The server connetion is no problem but the ececution of the commands lead into an Exception ([NDde.DdeException] = {"The client failed to execute \"[AppShow()]\"."})
In the Acrobat SDK 9.1 I hat found that it will be possible to control the AdobeReader this way and in some forums I heard that it will be the ONLY way. And also I think I remember that it worked some month ago (but not sure). In Adobe Acrobat professional 9.1 it works fine.
Do anybody know what is wrong or if Adobe disables this way to control the AdobeReader?!?

I found a document that gives me the answer to that question. It isn't possible to do all this things I want in AdobeReader because Adobe limit the commands that can be used to 14 useless ones.

Is it possible to have read access to users 'my folders' / proxy problem

Hi,
is this possible to set up the security in such a way that an administrator has a read access to all the users folders? e.g to user's 'my folders' content?
if the only possibility is to take ownership and grant access, what are unwanted consequences of doing so?
we enocunter multiple issues with users using obi incorrectly, but cannot access their private ibots/reports/subscriptions;
or at least: how to copy the users folders into test so that we can see the content; with no access if copied the folders are empty;

still having the problem to get the proxy functionality working
the setting I currently have is:
created the required table with proxies in db
adjusted instanceconfig -> added the message on max value 100
created a custom xml message to get the value/verify value/delegate users
created init blocks/variables for proxy, proxylevel, runas ('Empty' from dual)
granted the privilage proxy in presentation
we are using sso
weird thing is: even if i put in the custom message fixed values so that list of proxies/target users is fixed (i.e. instead '@USER' -> 'ADMINISTRATOR' ) it would not retrieve any values when I press 'Act as'
(error message: This functionality has not been enabled by your administrator)
id appreciate any suggestions
