Proxy Server Address Vanishes.

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.2 (10B146). The proxy server address in my WiFi settings keeps on vanishing. Can anybody please help me how to solve it?

Hello Shamshuddin Shaik,
To configure Internet Explorer 11 Group Policy Preference (GPP) settings on Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2, you need to have Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) for Windows 8.1 installed on a Windows 8.1-based computer or use a Windows Server
2012 R2 server which is also a Domain Controller.

  • Outlook 2007 needs BT proxy server address to acce...

I have been through many sites and it transpires that using outlook 2007 to access an exchange server (2010) gives errors on syncing the offline address book where it just hangs on a send/receive.
MS know this is an issue and the only real workaround is to specify a Proxy server in the browser settings to allow access.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939765
    The microsoft instructions are;
1.Start Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2.On the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
3.Click to select the Bypass proxy server for local addresses check box, and then click Advanced.
4.Type the FQDN of the Exchange 2007 CAS server, and then click OK.
    5.Restart Outlook.
All fine and good, but a proxy server address is required and I cannot find one for BT anywhere. Surely these must exist?
Any help appreciated as I do not want to have the expense of upgrading to outlook 2010 which 'may' work.
    Thanks

You will need to delete the account and then re-create it as POP3, it is not possible to change from IMAP to POP3 on the fly. When you re-create the account, set it up using the manual option at the bottom of the screen rather than letting Outlook set itself up. In the Advanced tab, untick  'Leave a copy of  messages on the server'.

  • Where do i get proxy server addresses to insert in mysettings for Premium proxy switcher add on?

Where do I get proxy server addressesto insert in my setup of the add on.....Premium Proxy Switcher 1.0.10?

    Thank you for checking, Tom,
I'm confused. What do YOU get when you push the feed button? And why is it working on yours and not either of my machines?
Today, my Mac (w/Safari 4) gets the same error message: Safari can’t open the page Safari can’t open the page “feed:http://vibrationalvoyages/vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml”. The error is: “The feed could not be loaded because the content is not in a known feed format.”
My little ASUS (with a Linux operating system) gets a screen that says "The requested URL was not found". The URL on that page is http://vibrationalvoyages./vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml
On both error messages, the URL I was checking was:
    http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_and_Applications/Divine_Light_Vibrations_Principles_ andApplications.html
The last URL was, of course, the URL generated by iWeb.
    So, my question still is:
HOW CAN I GET MY FEEDS TO WORK PROPERLY? If the problem is there shouldn't be an http:// after feed: then, how do I get iWeb to set it up properly?
    Any ideas?

  • How to add address of Proxy Server

When using Safari and other internet applications on the iPhone I cannot access the internet pages on my iPhone but when I use Interenet Explorer on my Windows machine using the same internet address and the the same wifi connection all is OK. The wifi connect works OK because I can access email.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer the only way it works is by entering a proxy Server address. How can I set this for the iPhone?
    Thanks Lachlan

Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap the little blue arrow at the right of the network you're connected to, then scroll down to HTTP Proxy, tap Manual and enter the server and port, or if you use an automatic proxy setting, tap Auto and enter the URL. You should be able to get that information from the settings in IE on your computer.

  • AUSST proxy server

    Good day
I have been trying to setup AUSST on exisitng web server for downloading updates.
We using proxy server in our infrastructure.
The problems I am finding is
1- I am unable to specify proxy server address in    AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool
I percieved some other problems as well but I work around it
    what I did
    - Configure virtual directory "Adobe" in default web site
    - I am using MS IIS7
    When I was using
    AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool --root="/MyServerName/Adobe/" --fresh
The command did not work and throw error message stating that unable to access folders
    same command AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool --root="/serverroot/updates/Adobe/CS" --fresh [--proxyusername=myusername --proxypassword=mypassword]
was not working and giving argument error
I searched and found AUSST can be used to cover all Adobe product updates, Am I right?
Can anyone post their working configuration here that would be very helpful
    Please assist

    Anush,
It's not possible with JAVA nor any other language! Because, the proxy server is meant for
restricting the access to the resources and it's functionality can't be altered by a JAVA
    program.
Since, even if u right a program in JAVA using java.net package to access the site [may
be porno...], still the request has to go out and reach the internet resource, only thru' the
same proxy server and hence it's not at all possible.
Only if the 'admin' of the proxy server grands rights to the user nothing else can be done.
    -RK.

  • License server address requested periodically

    Hi experts,
    I'm running SAP 2007 SP01 PL07.
There is one server named 'SAP-01' on a virtual machine with the DB and the license manager.
Another server named 'TSE-01' on a virtual machine with TSE.
Each server is closed at night for backup reasons.
With 'SAP B1 service manager' on SAP-01 and with the licence manager form, I fixed SAP-01:30000 as License server address (I've tried with the IP address instead of SAP-01 with no change).
Each morning, on 'TSE-01', the first connected user have to enter the license server address with the proposal of localhost:30000.
The next connection must be OK. But later, the license server address vanished again.
No problem with the last ran DB.
    Best regards,
    Francis

Connection details from client to server are stored in the user profile. This issue could be caused by a corrupt user profile, or by insufficient permissions on the client for users to save the profiles - this is often the problem on terminal servers.
Check the SAP notes for the location the client stores the profiles & make sure the users are able to write to that location

  • WRT160N and internet via a Proxy server

    Hi all,
i connect to the internet using a proxy server. i can connect to the internet if i specify the proxy server address directly in my internet explorer and set my router to auto config for intenet. BUT if i toggle on the proxy server in my IE, i cant access the router's web based setup until i toggle it off. once i toggle off the proxy server, i cant access the internet.
does anybody know what i'm missing.

Check the network connection window ..... if any Dial Up adapter ...or PPPOE adapter or Proxy Server adapter is installed or not ...
If so disable it or click cancel as default .....
Then check if you are able to go online with LAN connection or not ....

  • 10gAS, proxy server and client ip address

    Hello,
We recently deployed an application in a 10G application server, running behind an apache reverse proxy server.
Our developers want to get the client ip addresses, which the proxy server passes in the the header x-forwarded-for. They're currently using getRemoteAddr to get the ip address of the system making the request, which is always going to be the proxy server.
If using webcache, it looks like it's possible to toggle webcacheip on in the httpd.conf, which modifies the return value of getRemoteAddr appropriately. Is there a way to modify the application server to pull the ip address out of the x-forwarded-for header instead of the clientip header and return it via getRemoteAddr?
Should I just have the developers pulling from that x-forwarded-for header value instead?

I've gotten a few emails on this, what I did was this:
On the front end apache reverse proxy, I added these lines:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^(.*)
    RewriteRule ^.* - [env=MY_REMOTE_ADDR:%1]
    RequestHeader set ClientIP "%{MY_REMOTE_ADDR}e
It's been a while, but I recall having to do some extra work to be able to write this value into a header, I couldn't do it directly, so I did the above four lines instead.
And then set UseWebCacheIp On on the application server httpd.conf.

  • Finding real Client IP Address under PROXY Server

    Hi friends,
I have a requirement to find out the Client IP Address that is under a Proxy Server.( Actually I used the getRemoteAddr but this always returns me the Prox-Server IP Address and not the real Client IP Address)
Can some one guide me how I can do this with JAVA JSPs / Servlets..
    Thanks a lot!!

Most proxies can be configured to forward the client's ip address in a request
header to the origin server - check the headers sent to the server and you should
    be able to identify it.

  • How do I set up an email address from a proxy server?

How do I set up an email account on mu phone that has a proxy server?

These steps typically resolve the issue:
    1. Press the ePrint button on the printer's front-panel screen (top row of icons, far left button), then press "Print Report".
    2. Head over to the ePrintCenter website (http://www.eprintcenter.com/), and log in (or sign up for a new account if you don't have one).
    3. Click the "+Add Printer" button and enter the printer code from the ePrint info page (“Print Report” page from step 1). Create a customized ePrint email address.
I just viewed the website on my computer, and it appears to be working okay on my end. It's possible that there's a setting in your web browser responsible for what you're seeing. I would recommend trying the following steps:
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.
If I have SOLVED your issue, please feel free to provide KUDOS and make sure you mark this thread as SOLUTION PROVIDED!

  • "do not use proxy server for local (intranet) addresses" IEM setting

Hi, i would like to find out where can i find the following setting in GPO which used be found in IEM.
"do not use proxy server for local (intranet) addresses" Enabled/Disabled
as currently im setting the IE proxy exception list via GPP, i don't see that option.

    Hi,
As you notice that when we use GPP Internet Setting item to configure bypass proxy servers, there is no "do not use proxy server for local (intranet) addresses" option in GPP Internet
Setting item. However, as suggested by zanderol24’s reply, we can use bypass proxy server for local addresses option under
Proxy server to achieve the same function.
    Best Regards,
    Erin

  • I don't use a proxy server to connect to the internet, but Firefox automatically configures itself to use the loopback address.

I have a direct connection to the internet and don't use a proxy server. Every few weeks, Firefox automatically resets itself to be configured to use a proxy server at the loopback address (127.0.0.1). Manually changing it back to "No proxy" works, but I have to do so each time I open the browser or even a new tab. The only fix I can find is to create a new profile which gives me a new, clean install of FF, but then I lose all my add-ons. This has happened repeatedly now and it's extremely frustrating. I have scanned for malware but have not found any problems.

hello rjlasser, first of all please make sure that none of your extensions is causing the issue (some youtube censorship circumvention addons also make use of proxies for example).
otherwise please refer to [[How to fix preferences that won't save]] for some common solutions.
