  • 2012 LG TV devices that support Adobe Air?

Do all of the 2012 line of LG devices support Adobe Air for TV?
If not, is there a list of devices that do and don't?

I posted the same question of LG's TV developer site (http://developer.lgappstv.com) and someone (who I think worked for LG) responded saying that all devices of the 2012 line support Air for TV. What's more, their documentation implies that LG supports the latest version (3.0) of Air for TV.

  • Better Proxy support in the software

I am trying to use the BlackBerry Link software behind a proxy. However the software doesn't have any option to either be given proxy settings or just pick them up yourself (as quite a few other softwares do). I am not even able to sign in to my BlackBerry ID, since it says it can't connect to the internet.
I would really appreciate better proxy support/features in the future version.
PS : I think while installing BlackBerry Link, the installer downloads BlackBerry Link from the internet, the installer didn't have a problem downloading behind a proxy, even though I didn't provide any proxy settings (must've picked up the IE settings automatically) however the actual software doesn't.

I've updated to 1.0.0.76 and am still having this problem behind our proxy. I'm surprised it isn't supported yet since many people who receive new BlackBerry devices get them through work.

  • Proxy support in messages

Is there no proxy support for the messages application ?
I cant connect to my account because I am inside a closed network with a proxy server.

I think you can find a solution in here, provided that you can perform port forwarding in the closed network you are currently using:

  • Socks5 proxy support

Socks5 proxy support seems to be broken in Skype v6.3.0.105.
It fails to connect through a Socks5 proxy, with the following fallback:
     - socks5: command 3 not recognized. Rejecting.
     - Fetching socks handshake failed. Closing.
P.S. there's a list of other software successfully working now with the same proxy instance using Socks5 protocol, incl. the Opera browser, although IE10 enforces Socks4 but still works this way as well.

AFAIK, the danted proxy can forward traffic to another socks proxy or a http 1.0 proxy.

How can I configure it? Can you say it in simple English language? :-?

  • Creative Cloud and Proxy Support

    To whom it may concern,
I am a Technical Specialist for an Enterprise. We use Astaro (now Sophos) as a our proxy appliance. We use Active Directory based authentication to provide internet access to our clients.
I am currently in the process of building a SOE for our Mac workstations. It is based on Mac OS X 10.8.4 and uses deploy studio to install. We have used the Creative Cloud packager to build an installer that contains all the packages for the Creative Cloud suite. The whole suite is installed but I need to be able to connect to the activation servers via the proxy to finalise the installation after deploying the SOE.
When I run the Creative Cloud installer, I am prompted for credentials even though the credentials are stored in the user keychain. When I monitor the proxy activity log, I cannot see these credentials being passed to the proxy. I can see requests being generated but the user is "" or null.
What authentication methods are supported by the Creative Cloud application in regards to proxies? Are there any logs available to narrow down the problem?
The other thing I have noticed, is the Creative Cloud is not honouring the sites in the proxy bypass list. For example if I have 192.150.3.51 in the proxy bypass list under 'System Preferences', 'Network', 'Advanced', 'Proxies', and I try to login into Creative Cloud, I still have requests to this IP address in the proxy log.
Is there a seperate config file for the proxy settings for Creative Cloud?
I also want to pass on that this has cost me (and my company) so far about 4 business days of time so far to diagnose and troubleshoot. We never had these issues with are previous Adobe Volume Licencing agreement and the CS6 product family. Our support techs have admitted that they breach company policy everytime a new mac is deployed just to be able to get CC installed by bypassing our security measures and connecting the mac directly to the internet as they have found that the only reliable method of being able to complete the installation procedure.
This is not an acceptable solution - moving to a redeployable SOE will only make this problem worse as our macs will periodically get re-imaged meaning that we will have to reactivate Creative Cloud again for our users to again have access to their tools and perform their tasks.
I do not believe that our infrastructure is very different to any other Enterprise out there (eg Internet access only via authenticated user) so I am not sure why this was not suppported out of the box.
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Admin & Marketing,
The Creative Cloud Desktop app and the CCP do not currently provide direct support for a proxy. We expect that functionality will be available with CCP 1.3 release which is expected to release soon. Please refer the blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/oobe/2013/09/creative-cloud-packager-1-3-pre-release.html.

  • Proxy support for third party applications

    Hi all.
I have seen many posts by users saying that some applications cannot access the internet, while connected to a network with proxy authentication.
Ultimately, the problem lies in iOS not supporting system-wide proxy settings. We are therefore stuck with applications where the developer has not included their own proxy authentication methods. This is really pathetic in my opinion, seeing as the iPad, although primarily focused on a media and leisure based market, is actually used by a lot of people in the enterprise world.
There has not been any official announcement by Apple about this issue on other threads, or any announcement as to when support for this will be added. As a university student, I am forced to bring both my MacBook and iPad to campus, simply because I cannot access certain online services, such as DropBox, from my iPad. It actually makes me question what the point in getting the device was in the first place, as my primary intended usage is to eliminate the need for my MacBook to come with me to university.
I would like Apple to please give any response on this, especially seeing as these devices are bought by many people with the intention of using it on many different networks on the move. Please, don't get me wrong - with the applications that work, and the usage I have with my iPad as is, I really enjoy the device, and it is great in many aspects, but simple functions such as internet access for applications under proxy authentication should be a given feature.
With that all said, I have not had a chance to update to 4.3.1 yet, and I am not aware if it has been fixed yet or not - the change log says nothing about it though. Has anyone found a solution to this yet? Are some of you also experiencing it?
    MrP.
EDIT: I notice that in the change log of 4.3.1, it says: "Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services". Can anyone confirm if this has fixed the issue?

Yes same here, Ipad and Iphone 4S all iOS 5.1.1 behind a proxy....Safari works but pretty much none of my other Apps. proxy acceptance will be a critical blow in the war for the Enterprise market. I need access to Apps I now rely on and they simply do not work.
With MS Surface only weeks away once people start using this with 100% success through a proxy, ( not to mention real Office that works with macros and all formatting..Oh and stylus friendly too!) a lot of apple devices may start to gather dust.
Common Apple, lets move on from Toys and get serious about work too. I am guessing there are a lot of us out there trying to make ipads work at work...help us out!

  • Proxy configuration in AIR Application

Flex/AIR Applications use Default Browser's Connection
setting(Proxy configuration) to connect to Server/Remote Systems.
This mechanism is ok.. in case of Browser based applications.
But, in case of Desktop based AIR application, my application may
need to connect to some Non-Standard ports(not 80,443).. For that I
need to use a different proxy setting than that of my browser.
But, I didn't find any mechanism to set the proxy
    configuration in my application.
Can anyone please suggest me the workaround for this??

  • AEC support in AIR 2.7

Does the latest LCCS swc support AEC in AIR 2.7?  From reading the forums I'm getting the idea that AEC is just always turned on now and I all I would have to do is build my app against the latest swc and AIR 2.7.  I just thought I'd ask before I started down a wrong path.
    Thank you,
    -Eric

So I built my client tonight against AIR 2.7 (on OSX) but for some reason my mic isn't working.   In another section of my application I was able to record audio using mic = Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone(-1) and play it back so at least I know that part is working.
I can connect to my older client and I can hear audio and see video coming from them but no audio coming from me.   Maybe I've just fallen behind the times with LCCS.
In debug I can see that my audioPub is using the enhanced mic, and has selected the correct mic by looking at it's name.
Any ideas on what I should be hunting down?
    Thank you,
    -Eric

  • UCCX 8.5 https support? and Proxy support ?

I have to perform backend request thru HTTPS in UCCX 8.5 scripting
    1) Is HTTPS supported in UCCX 8.5 ?
I have to perform SOAP HTTPS (POST) transaction.
    2) Also to reach the backend sever we have to pass thru a Proxy server, it is possible to add proxy server information in the UCCX environnement to be able to reach the backend ?
Has anyone done something similair ?

I have connect to both a Trusted Root CA signed HTTPS server and a Non one too.  Obviously, if the cert is self signed, their will be additional steps required to "accept" it, but that's all within Java, and really has nothing to do with UCCX.
UCCX can easily handle signed certs.  Take this code for example:
    String http_response = ""
    Set http_response = URL[https://www.google.com/]
You should get back the HTML response from google.
However, when you enter the address for a host with a self signed cert, like that of my CallManager, the editor barks.
To get around that you will need some Java code (don't have any on tap, sorry) to accept the self signed cert.  Hopefully you don't need that.
As for the proxy goes, I have not done this, but a quick google search yields a few promising results.
Since you have the SOAP part working, I will assume you know how to embed Java into your script.
    Happy Scripting!

  • Proxy Credentials In AIR

    Hi Guys,
I know that Adobe AIR gest the proxy details from the OS automatically, thats fine. Is that information possible to obtain in the rest of the program at runtime?

    Jaz,
AIR does not expose APIs to read the system proxy settings.

  • Enhanced Microphone support in AIR 3 for Android

    To whom it may concern:
I'm trying to build a pseudo-Skype application with Flash CS 5.5, for AIR 3.0 (on Android 2.3.4).
Unfortunately, while AIR 3 does (finally) support the front-facing camera, it does not support the echo-reducing technology of the "EnhancedMicrophone" features.
Is anyone planning on fixing this or is their a work-around?
I'm trying to convince my superiors that AIR is sufficient for developing prototypes and I could use some support.
Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.
    Sincerely,
    Mikey

I am wondering about this as well, so I am making this post in to get this bumpped back up and hopefully get an answer.

  • Disable Proxy on Adobe AIR

For an Enterprise Deployment, we would like to disable proxy on AIR even if it is set on the system.
How can this be achieved in Adobe AIR?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't have a definitive list of AIR based applications.  I'm sure you're aware, but the AIR runtime is only used when an application requires it.  It's also possible, with our captive runtime option, for an application to be built that includes it's own copy of the runtime.
I believe that the Adobe suite installer (and possibly other online installers) also use AIR. Once installed, AIR might not be used again.  Again, this really depends on the application.
When you mention that your company is looking to "slimming down our desktop loads", are you talking about system performance, drive space, or something else?
