PRT MFG.

Hi All,
I have one query,
Is it possible to manufacturing PRT inhouse and same want to be use in order as a PRT. Can i get costing of it.
pl expain me how to map it in SAP.
Pls Revert.
Thanks,
Vishal

Hi vishal,
You can produce PRT in your plant
Create PRT material with FHMI - Prodcution resource/tool with MRP views
Then you can maintain BOM & routing ,Once produced GR to the respective Sloc, then use it as a normal PRT.
If You want the costing of the production order then extend costing views in the material master & create seperate settlement profile,as this may not come under normal producion,it depends on the client requirement, better consult also with your CO consultant for the settlement & costing issues
Hope the above will be helpful

  • Production resources/tools (PRT)

    hi,
my client is doing gear mfg.they want to maintain machine tool (PRT) in sap. there want map prt for every operation.
    no plant maintenance module.
and they want to maintain PRT in inventory
we can create prt in material master and assign PRT in routings.
How can issue prt for production order (but not a consumable item) and how can i trace it
if tool(Equipment) gets repaired. we have to procure new tool .
tool is transferable from plant to plant
    how can i map this???
    thx in advance

    Hi Brahmaji,
    Thanks for your response.
    1. I had set the PRT availability as you suggest.
The thing is, PRT availability check still say that the PRT is available - while the stock of this PRT is 0
    2. CF11 only show the production order no & the order quantity that use this PRT.
It didn't show the required quantity of the PRT (let say, if 1 pc of FG need 2 pcs of this particular PRT, it will only show 1 pc in this report)
    3. If it is not possible, then could you please advice, how the system could inform us when and how much to buy the PRT to ensure that the PRT quantity will not be in shortage?
If the material PRT can't fulfill the requirement, then which PRT type would be the best sollution?
    Thank you.

  • How to restrice ananymous user access to portal link /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default?

    Hi experts,
We had an issue with portal access. I wonder if portal is venerable for security threats?
Could you please let me how to restrict the unauthorized users (anonymous user) to the portal URL.
    https://HOST:50001//irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default .
    Appreciate your help.

    Hi Maruti,
    Hope you are doing good.
Can't you just amend the portal permissions so that this access is not possible.
    The PCD location should be:
    com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/no_safety/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher....
    Hope this helps.
Thank you and have a nice day!

  • BSP Exception: Access to URL /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher;jsessionid= not allowed

    Dear all,
I've created out BI system in our new Portal installation and tested the connection. Everything works fine. I added the certificate of the portal to STRUSTSSO2 in BI ABAP and assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to my Account.in BI. If I open the iView from the portal I get a BSP Exception with the message:
The used connection by the iView is to the ABAP-Stack of the BI-system not to the JAVA-Stack. Is that correct?
BSP Exception: Der Zugriff auf die URL /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher;jsessionid=IDBYatWIpt_pX4uc52ChoZqMWkm1RAFW2qsA_SAP ist untersagt.
    What can be the problem/reason?
    Thanks!

    Hi Gerrit
In both places you have to provide a authorization access to the end users then only it will work. because your are already said that in SAP_All & SAP_New working fine
Back end BI system access as per the word document as pasted the link

For SAP portal you have to create iview's assign the same to end user
Assigning an Authentication Scheme to an iView - User Authentication and Single Sign-On - SAP Library
Portal Authentication Infrastructure - Configuring the Portal for Initial Use - SAP Library

  • How the material PRT issue/receipt to the production order can be handled?

    Hi PP Gurus,
For one of our clients, the handling of PRT is to be controlled with the issue/receipt for the production order.
    1. What is the procedure for issue/receipt of PRT material in the SAP?
    2. What is the procedure to block the PRT for the creation/release of production order when it was already assigned to the other production order during the same time?
    3. The PRT is to be available automatically once the assigned production order operation is confiremd. How it can be handled in the SAP?
    Appreciate your early response.
    Thanks,
    Reddy.

    Hi Ramanujam,
            Thanks for your response.
         1. The dies can be used for the production of Pressing, Casting and Forging etc. These dies will be managed in the stores. The stores representatives will issue the die to the shop floor for an operation of a production order. They will return back the die once the production is completed at that operation using the die. How to map this process in the SAP.
Typically, these dies can be treated as PRT materials in the SAP system.
         2. OPJK configuration is not sufficient. The same PRT will be assigned to the many production orders during the same time. The system won't block with only this setting. There are some other steps involved to complete the process.
I would like to know the complete procedure with all the steps to block the PRT once it was assigned to the production order operation. The same PRT is to be available for other production orders automatically once the operation is confirmed after production.

  • PRT's not printed on the SAP standard insp. instruction

    Dear forum,
My client evaluates the possibility to use the insp. instruction program available in standard SAP, the pgm RQEEAS20, SAPScript INSP_INSTRUCTION.
The client is generally satisfied with the layout, but unfortunately the PRT information from the insp. plan is not printed. I have debugged RQEEAS20 and saw that the table G_PRTTAB that is supposed to keep the PRT's and send them to the SAPScript is empty.
Do you have an idea what I may be doing wrong? The control key in the definition of the PRT is 1, which means the PRT shall be printed.
Many thanks in advance for any tips,
    Raf

The interfaces that makes you install correctly an add-on are described under the "Package and Deployment" section of the Help Center. You can download the Help Center from SDN.
You may want to check B1DE (Business One Development Environment): it provides you some wizard that creates the add-on setup and all the accessory files automatically. You can download B1DE from SDN. It is delivered under the SDN license schema.

  • Excise invoice for Stock Transfer from Mfg. Plant to excisable Depot

    Hi Experts,
Which tcode (j1iin or j1is) should be used for creating excise invoice in mfg. plant for transfer the goods to exciseable depot and why.
And if we procure the material in mfg. plant and transferring the procured material to excisable depot then how can we map or assign incoming excise invoice to outgoing excise invoice so that same duty can be transferred.
Thanks in advance and points on satisfying answers.

    Hi There
we will be using J1IIN for the transfer for the simple reason that you cannot move the goods from the manuefacturing plant without paying the excise duty.
regarding your second query I am unable to understand your exact requirement but as per my understanding you will do the good receipt and CENVAT will be credited and outgoing or stock transfer will happen as the regular process afterwards by debiting the excise duty from the CENVAT account
    Hope this will help

  • To retrieve the PRT document (a PDF file) and insert the doc in PM order

    Hello guys,
I have a challenging task in from printing as follows,
By using TC: IW3D we get print preview of PM Order Set (PM Print Program: YIPRJT01), currently the PRT document number prints in the PM Order. Now we have to insert the PRT documents (a PDF file) into the PM Order set rather than printing the PRT document number ( By using TC: IW33 by going OPERTIONAL TAB we will get the PRT document(a PDF file))
The requirement is to retrieve the PRT document (a PDF file) and insert the document in PM  order set with out navigating separately by using the TC: IW33.
If you run the script in the print preview we can able to see PM the order set along with the PRT document (a PDF file).
    Thanks & Regards
    Vishnu

I'm also trying to print PRT document with shop papers and still not able to do so. I selected "P" for print on the control key and it should print but still didn't print.
If I understand it right, I think you are trying to do the same.
Have you resolved this issue ?
    Thank you,
    Sam

  • MRS: PRT Tool Resource does not appear in Planning Board

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to perform tool assignment but somehow the tool resource does not appear in the planning board.  I have the following set up:
    - Tool created as both material and Equipment (category P)
    - Equipment assigned to work center linked to Org Unit
    - Order with operations created with PRT assigned
What I am seeing in the planning board:
    - I can see the operation with the linked PRT
    - I can see the HR resource under the same work center Org Unit
    - However, I cannot see the Tool resource.
Am I missing somethng here?  Any kind of pointers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Jk

Thank you for your response, Varun.
I do have the equipment work center set to be the same as the operation work center.  Also, when I try to add the PRT manually in the planning board, I get 2 error messages:
    "Resource  is not available"
    "Selected equipment 0 is invalid"
    Have you encountered this before?
    Thank and Regards,

  • PRT --  LIFE calculation w.r.t. serial no

    Dear all,
    1.  We procure TAP blanks (matl. code-TB001) from outside vendor. We do thread grinding on this TAP blank inhouse only with matl code TF001. This TAP we use for TAPPING operation of SOFT (semifinish blank - CA001).
BOM for our finish gauge is as follows...
    Finish Gauge code       RA001
HARD blank  code        DA001  -- we have assigned PRT here for Tapping operation in routing as TF001.
    SOFT blank code         CA001
    RAW matl bar code      RS001
Tapping operation is mentioned in the routing of DA001 .
We use e.g. 5 taps as a one set  for  tapping operation. On one set we can tap max. 100 qty approx. It varies as per the size. Each tap has unique serial no. for tracebility & identification.
We want to calculate usage value,TAP life ( rings tapped by one single tap).
How to calculate & how to keep track with sr. no.
We issue TAPs to production as per requirement. After use if tap life is there we return it back to store and again issue for further use. Thus we want to control goods movement w.r.t. sr. no. of TAP.
    Pl' give answer.

You wont just be able to copy files from 7x to 11x as there have been multiple changes. If its not lot of work, you should look into recreating these objects in new environment.
Are you moving from windows to linux? if yes, you need to make sure you are taking copies across environments in binary mode.
As for VM being a requirement, I have never ever heard this before. Most of essbase folks want to put essbase on physical box rather than VM. Make sure you validate OS and other software/hardware compatibility for your environment. Here is the certification matrix link: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/oracle-hyperion-epm-system-certific-131801.xls

  • Error  while giving the production line in repetitive mfg

    Hello friends,
When i am maintaining the production version in material master for repetitive mfg, and in production line when i am giving the workcenter which is in operation of rate routing, system giving me the error message that "REP01(which is my workcenter) is not maintained in plan (planning type = plant = smp1)".Message no. is CFVO90.
Though i have got the solution of this message, but i am not able to understand the solution.
Actually while creating the production version in material master, for task list data i was only maintaining the task list type, Group Number and Group counter for  Rate Based only as Rate Routing. And when i would give the workcenter which is in operation of rate routing then  system would give me the error.
Later on when i maintained the Task list type, Group Number and Group counter for Detailed scheduling, Rate Routing, and Rough cut scheduling and than maintained the workcenter in production line, system didn't give the error.
My question is as we are doing the repetitive mfg, and as we have maintained the rate routing, so why it so that in Detailed scheduling and rough cut scheduling also we have to maintain the Task list type, Group Number and Group counter.
         Plz guide.

    Hello pravin,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actually if i give the details of Task list type, Group, Group counter for Rate based scheduling only in production version and if i maintain the workcenter which i have given in the operation of Rate Rounting in production line then system is throwing the error mentioned above.
Unless and until i mention the details of Rate Routing for all i.e. Detailed scheduling, Rough cut scheduling and Rate based scheduling, system is not allowing me to save the production version.
As per your answer, even i am confused that as i have ticked the repetitive mfg in mrp 4 view and as i have given REM profile, so system should not give me the error when i only maintain the rate routing data in Rate based scheduling in production version.
Is there any other way to solve this error. If not than whats the logic behind it.
I hope u have understood my query.

  • Creation of Mfg Service contract from IB Instance number

    Hi Team,
We have a requirement from client that we need to create a Mfg Service contract for a given IB Instance number. Can you please let me know, if we have any API for this?
I tried to create contract using Oks_Contracts_Pub.Create_Contract_Header API but this contract is not associated with Instance in IB.
Please help to provide any ideas on this. We are on 11.5.10 version.
    Thanks/Suresh K

Solution: You need to associate Contract with Covered line with that serial number.

  • How to get the source code of a PRT application in the portal

    Hi!
Does anybody know how to get the source code of a PRT application in the portal?
    Thanks in advance,
    Celso

    Celso,
If its Java-based code have a look at the properties of an iView that belongs to the application in question and copy the value of the Code Link parameter e.g. 'com.sap.pct.hcm.rc_vacancyrequestov.default'.
Search the Portal installation directory under /j233/cluster/server/ for a .par.bak file of the same name, removing .default from the codelink parameter
    e.g. com.sap.pct.hcm.rc_vacancyrequestov.par.bak
Copt this locally and import into Netweaver Developer Studio. You will have to decompilte the class files with a decompiler such as DJ Decompiler or Cavaj (search with Google).
    Cheers,
    Steve

  • Iw72 service order + Link b/w operations and PRTs

    Hello Friends,
So here is my problem. In transctin iw72 ( service order ) there is a tab called "operations". In tab operatinos I can attatch Resourse / tool ( table AFFH ( PRT assignment data for the work order )  and structure AFFHD (Structure of the PRTs in orders). So I can do this all manually, and after pressing save, the PRTs is attatched to the operation. ( pls note I want to attatch a documet as PRTs to the operations)
Now I want to do this via any FM or BAPI, but unfortunatelly I was not able to find any such bapi, ( I mean, I have find bapi to create the operation, and I also find the bapi to create the document, and now I have to find the bapi which store the PRTs ( in my case document ) to that operation ( or order ).
In table AFFH, I have reference to the order, but not to the operation, so actually using this table I can attatch the PRTs to one order, but my req is to attatch to the operation.
So I debug the standard code, to find out how they are doing, but could not find much, any tip how I can make it more simple to find out, what is going on in starndard code.
