PRT Scenario in Production

Dear All,
Following is my scenario,
I have a  small die mapped as an Equipment PRT in SAP which is  having a life of 100 strokes.1 stroke generates 1 pc of a material A.I have assgined this PRT in routing of A .
the usage formula used is( Std. usage value x operation qty.)/Base qty.The std. usage value for 1 Pc of A is defined as 1 ea of PRT
Also in PRT master, measuring point is used. A characteristic of neumric data type with unit EA has been assigned and it is marked as counter. An initail measuring doucument with counter reading as 100 has been posted.Iam assuming tht this is the life of a PRT.Am I correct here?
Now when I create a Production Order of A for 10 Pc,system automatically proposes 10 EA as std. usage reqmt.(based on the formula defined),but when I confirm my production then PRT usage value should also be decreased by 10  and a measuring doc. of 10 should get posted.Kindly guide. This is a standard SAP Scenario, but Iam  stuck.Full Points will be awarded.

Dear Stuchi,
Your logical flow is correct
You need to assign characteristics same as that of the production order  to measuring point then the confirmation qty gets counter updation

Identified Need: You need to accurately determine the costs incurred in producing the goods and services that your company provides.
Business Process to Meet that Need: Product Costing
Product Costing helps a company know the costs incurred by its products in order to successfully manage its product portfolio. The product cost accounting business process calculates cost of goods manufactured (COGM) or cost of goods sold (COGS) broken down by each step of the production process.

  • Make to order availability check scenario with production order

We have a make-to order scenario where we build custom products for our customers.
In SAP, we specify a strategy group so a production order is automatically generated when an sales order item is entered. However, we sometimes create a small amount of stock, in anticipation of an order. I would like the system to first check available stock in the system, beofre proposing a production order.
Is something like thi spossible thru configuration of the strategy group, or perhaps another method?
    Regards
    Ken

    Hi,
In SPRO->Sales and Distribution->Basic Functions->Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements->Availability Check->Availability Check with ATP Logic or Against Planning->Carry Out Control For Availability Check
Select the Availability check and the Checking rule  combination of intrest and if you select the details, here you define that stocks that are to be considered during availability check.

  • Prt confirmation in production order

hi, created an equipment, assigned one measing counter to it. we assigned this equipment as prt in prod order. pls adise how confirm the no of strokes done with this prt during confirmation of production order?

    Hi Yadav,
For that you need to create a Equipment with category as "P" for PRT (production resource tool).check whether that category exists or if that category doesnot exits you need to create an equipment category in SPRO.
Follow the SPRO Path and do configuration to get the PRT data tab and serial data tab.
Plant Maintenance and Customer ServiceMaster Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer ServiceTechnical ObjectsEquipmentEquipment Categories
1.Maintain Equiment Category -here you will define a new category
2.Define Additional Business Views for Equipment Categories--here you will define for that category whether PRT tab and serial tab is required
3.Define Number Ranges---number ranges for each category.
Follow the process to do PRT confiramtion in order
1.Craete an equipment with category P(PRT)
2.Create characteristics with UOM similar to the unit of production confirmation unit
3.Creating Measuring points and counter for the equipment
4.Create one measurement document with minimum reading to activate it(with 1as reading)
    5.Creating a Maintenance Task List
    6.Creating a Maintenance Plan
7.Attaching a Maintenance plan and measurement point to PRT Equipment.(here in equip[ment useage formula for PRT SAPF02 should be given)
8.Change Routing and assign PRT Equipment to Operation
    9.Create Production order(Transaction Code:CO01)
    10.Confirmation of Production Order(Transaction Code:CO15)
11.Check the measurement document list using IK17
you can the details of the PRT confirmed aginst the measuring point
System automatically creates a measuring document which in turn craetes a maintenance order based on maintenance Plan.
This is actually integration between PP and PM
    Hope it helps

  • Equipment as PRT's during Production Order Confirmation

    Hi Gurus,
During Production Order confirmation I cannot see whether I have consumed equipments as PRT which are attached to operation.
The operation is showing CNF status as well the Order.
How can I see whether which Equipment was used for each operation since there can be more than one equipment as a PRT's for a single operation.
    Regards
    Nilesh

I use Production Order confirmation hence saw it in CO14 and checked that PRT's are in PRT REL status..I guess this is what you mean to say right??
Thank you so much for your response.

  • MAterial PRT Assigned to Production order

    Dear Team,
I have assigned Material PRT to production order now i want to assign counter to that material for maintenance purpose, means after certain operations mainenance people should replace that material.
How can i assign measure counter & maintenace plan to that material PRT?

    Dear Nilesh,
Material PRT is always is used in Quantities in Production.
If u want a counter for PRT then 1) Create PRT as Equipment.
                     2) Create Counter for PRT.
                     3) Create Intitial Measurement Document for Counter.
                     4) Assign Counter in PRT tab of Equipment Master Data.
                     5) Assign Equipment PRT in Production Routing of that Material.

  • PRT Production Resource Tools Counter

    Hi,
I am trying to setup a production resource tool which is counted at time of production.
I have setup the Material, Equipment, BOM, Counter, Routing.
When executing a production order the Counter is not updated with the ammount produced.
Does anyone have a manual on how to setup PRT Counters. I have looked on the SAP Library but this is not sufficient to solve the problem.
    Regards
    GIlbert

    Dear Gilbert
You have to create the equipment as PRT Equipment category. In PRT data you have to assign the (counter) measuring point and maintain the usage formula. Assign the Equipment PRT in the production orders and Enter the usage value and UOM. Ensure the UOM of the usage value and the UOM of the characterestic value you have assigned in the measuring point are same.
Now the confirmation will update the measuring point by creating a measuring document for the measuring poit to the count of the confirmation you are entering.

  • Production Scenario

    Hi All,
    We have a scenario for production which is as mentioned below;
Let's say e have an item X which is used in a BoM A for the production of FG. The item X is purchased in KG and the inventory is maintained in KG. The item X may be trimmed or can be used directly for production purpose. If the material is trimmed, then the waste/ scrap should be maintained so that it could be sold later as scrap.
    The wastage can be of two types;
    A. Where the scrap quantity is defined (known) and
    B. Where the scrap quantity is not defined (unknown)
Now, once the production is completed, we would like to track, how much material X was used direclty i.e. without trimming and how much was used after trimming ? Could this process be mapped in SAP B1? Please guide.
    Thanks,
    Joseph
Edited by: Joseph Antony on Mar 19, 2010 3:27 PM

    Dear Mr Antony,
If I have understood correctly you have a BOM with one item whose quantity is mantained in Kg.
You can choose just a part of the quantity set in the BOM for the child in the Issue for Production (if the child item is manual).
Let me know if this could help.

  • Production order status TECO-Revoke implications in FI/CO

Production order status TECO can be revoked functions -
    > restrict processing -
    >revoke
Can any one tell me the activities happening while revoking teco.
is it possible to revoke the teco for an order which has been closed in the past and financial closing also over for that period.still if we want to do what kind of implications r there in system point of view.

    Hello
Production orders pass through various phases. These phases are expressed by the status of the production order:
The production orders are first created (CRTD).
The orders are then released (REL).
The shop floor papers are printed out (PRT).
The production orders are carried out. The produced quantities, services, and deadlines are continuously (partially) confirmed (PCNF).
    Final confirmation takes place (CNF).
The production orders are technically completed (TECO).
Finally, the production orders are flagged for deletion (DLFL).
    Process Flow
When you create a production order, a workflow can be started to inform the MRP controller of the current production order phase.
Note that a large number of work items may be created in this scenario. If a large volume of production orders is created in your production system, therefore, you should not use this scenario.
The work items are deleted at the latest if a deletion flag was set for the order in question.
If this scenario does not fulfill your requirements, you can use it as a template to create your own scenario.
    regards

  • To restrict Issue for production than planned qty in production order

    Hi Experts,
In my scenario, the production staff will prepare production order and right click in production order document and select "Issue Components" option to Issue raw materials for production floor. After issuing the raw materials to production floor closes the "Issue for Production" document and now we have "Production Order" document open in screen. When he again select "Issue Components" option and issues the raw materials once again. Materials are issued once again wrongly. This happens since the production order document is not getting refresh after "Issue for Production" document is done.
Is there any way to restrict issue of raw materials than the planned qty.?
I have tried lot of ways to restrict this through SP. Please revert me an solution to this issue.
The procedure should trigger immediately when the "Issue Components" option is selected second time (If the raw materials are issued in full in first time itself). And it should allow only the qty which is to issued to production order qty (if they issue part issue to production order)
    Thanks in advance
    Raja.S

    Hi Neetu,
Thanks for your quick response. I have tried this query. But it is not blocking the issue for production document even the raw materials are issued already for the production order.
I'll explain my work flow again. The Production staff will prepare production order and then release the same and update the production order after changing  the status for "Release". Then he will right click the Mouse button and select "Issue Components" option and perform the Issue for Production process. He will issue the required raw material completely in one shot and add the Issue for Production document.
After adding the Issue for Production document he will close that document and now we will be in Production order document. Now our production order document will not get refreshed. Now the Production staff go for "Issue components" option, then it should not allow him to issue the components once again. But it is allowing him to issue components any number of times. there is no control.
If we browse the production order document to previous record and browse back to the same record then my Production order document get refreshed and now we can control the issue. But what should i do to control in the earlier case. Since they want to perfrom lot of production order, there is a chance to issue components for same production order more than one time before the production order document get refreshed.
Please provide me the SP to control this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Different fix lot size depending on the production version

    Hi all,
    I have the next scenario:
2 production versions. 2 different fix lot size por each. So:
Prod Version 1 - Fix lot size 200
Prod Version 2 - Fix lot size 300
I created the Quota Arrangement just to make SAP to take my favourite version. And trought the quota, I can define the lot size for each version. BUT.
If I change the version in the order or in the planned order, the quantity don't change.
So: How can I manage 2 different fix lot size for 2 different product versions? If I change the version once the order is created, how can I do the system change de quantity to the right one?
    Thanks in advante

I have n't  tried this scenario,
    This is my Idea
    Create a two production version
for ex: lot size 100 to 1000, set the rounding profile qty as 1000
for lot size 1001 to 99999, set the lot rounding profile value to 5000
BY this way u can get the two lot based on the rounding profie

  • Using Advanced Adapter Engine in PI 7.1 to design a ABAP proxy scenario

    Hi
We are currently on XI 3.0 and have a scenario in production that is as follows
R3 --> EOIO (QOS ) --> XI ---> SQL DB A, SQL DB B, SQL DB C ( split in XI , message from R3 in EOIO sequence routed to three different sql servers ). We use this scenario to push master data change messages from R3 . Whenever we do a full push of masterial/customer master from R3, it takes a lot of time for XI to process the messages, the messages hopping from Integration server and then to J2EE server.
We are moving to PI 7.1 and want to use the AAE ( advanced adapter engine ) to avoid the integration server in the above scenario and thus cut out an additional hop and send the message from R3 directly to the AAE on PI 7.1 server
    i.e R3 --> EOIO (QOS ) --> PI J2EE server(AAE ) -->SQL DB A, SQL DB B, SQL DB C .
I read in new PI 7.1 features that AAE has all features available in Integration server ( routing ,mapping ) and also XI adapter type based SOAP connectivity ( R3 --> PI http connection ) is possible using AAE.
In that case, can the above scenario in XI 3.0 be redesigned /reimplemented in PI 7.1 taking advantage of AAE and thus increasing the throughput ? Please advise with your thoughts and relevant documents on AAE on PI 7.1 with an example of implementation of the above scenario.

I read in new PI 7.1 features that AAE has all features available in Integration server ( routing ,mapping ) and also XI
adapter type based SOAP connectivity ( R3 --> PI http connection ) is possible using AAE.
If not wrong this is available for SAP PI 7.1 with Ehp1.
If you try to create SOAP channel ijn SAP PI 7.11 then in the Message Protocol then in the drop-down you see SOAP and XI3.0

    Abhishek.
