PRT With usage counter

Hi Experts,
My client is having a following requirement.
We are using specific tools for a particular operation. After certain no of operations tool needs to be scrapped. How to map this process?
Also we procure same tools from different suppliers and they differ in quality and hence their output is different
(means same tool produced from supplier A will produce 20 parts and from the supplier B will produce 30 parts. They have differnt quality and cost but used for same operation) how to map this in SAP. How to set a life counter.
Can I keep manual control over this? (Means say a tool gets worn out at say 18 instade of 20 ) can I keep a facility to replace.

As the cost of that tool is different you need to create the different item code for the same.
For PRT do the following steps.
1. Create an counter to measure the usage with proper unit.
2. assign PRT usage formula.
3. assign measuring counter in PRT data in equipment master.
4.Create measuring document for perticular counter number.
For PP order do the following steps.
1.Attach the PRT for in routing.
2.Give the usage value and its unit of measure.
3.System will pick up the PRT formulae automatically.
As soon as you confirms the order system will generate the counter reading as per your input in usage value and PRT formula.

Phone usage counter and carriers counter don't match?

I have been pretty consistant about reseting my usage counter on my iphone on my billing day. And yesterday i got a notice saying i was at 65%. I checked my phone and only showed ~37mb of in and out usage but when i logged into att it says i'm at 160mb. For the most part the usage looks right but there are 3 occasions where its in the 65mb, 40mb and 25mb. Way above my usual 1-4mb usage per session. Customer service only had "well then upgrade your data plan" to say but i don't want to do that till i know whats wrong.
Is there anyone that can explain why they are so different and any way to get att to remove those 3 oddballs cause its seriously like day 4 of my billing cycle.

Think i figured it out. It appears to be a bug with icloud as the phone was not connected to wifi but the laptop it plugged into was. For some reason it then sync'd with icloud anyhow racking up my data. Just annoyed that this transfer was somehow not put into the counter.

Clear resource usage counter on ACE module

Does anybody know how to clear the resource usage counter on an ACE module?
We use an ACE20-MOD-K2 with version A2(3.5).
Here you can see that after issuing 'clear stats resource-usage' the counters are still the same.

Hi Patrik,
What could one of the issue here is, if this box is in production and is being used, as soon as you clear the coutners, the new traffic is still flowing in, so ace will populate the new stats. if you take this box out of production then you should be able to see all the traffic gone.
Also to reinforce my previous argument, if you happen to see the stats second time, they are reduced , which will only point that the system is actively receiving and before you do a second show resource, it would have received some traffic and it will also take into account the existing traffic flow across the box.
Most likely not a Bug.

Usage counter readings

how to get counter readings and associate price to these readings

If I am not wrong, we cannot set the Usage item as IB-trackable; as Usage Item type and IB trackable are mutually exclusive. That is correct.
When we cannot set this, how can view this Usage item in Install Base application, to add/edit the counter readings.The process is
1. Create IB trackable item
2. Create Usage Item
3. Create a counter group
4. Assign the counter group to IB trackable item
5. Create Counters
6. Assign usage item to the counters
7. When you create IB instance, counters will get autoinstantiated. You can add additional counters manually also.
8. Now you create service contract with usage line type
9. In the subline section, you will find all the instances that belong party(ies) who have this usage item associated. Whatever counter values you are associating aginst this counter (which has usage item assigned), they will be used in contract billing.

Showing Duplicate records in a report with the count of their occurrence

Hi Members,
I am novice to BI. i need your suggestion to achiever one of the functionality. A report is required to be built with columns Incident ID, Task ID, Task Name. The Original report is below:-
In the above report I have to display only duplicated records once. Distincat records are not required to be shown. That is, if the same no. of Task Name is associated with the same Incident ID then it should be displayed once with the count of their occurrences in a separate column say , Count. For example, the Task 'TASK_MANUAL_KCI' got 4 times associated with the same Incident ID INC000000001434. Then the report should display this task one time in a report with count 4. Similarly, for INC000000000943 where task 'IPCG Diagnostic Template' got associated 2 times. The Count is 2 for this task.
Other records should not be displayed in a report.
Would highly appreciate quick response. Please suggest.

I tried this Gill, but result is bit different :-
Seems some little modifications are needed. Report should be displayed like the below one where it says how many times the same Task is associated with the same incident. Eg. Task 'TASK_CIRCUIT_RESOLVER' is associated with the incident 'INC000000001434' 4 times. 'IPCG Diagnostic Template' is associated with 'INC000000000943' 2 times. Similarly for other records.
But I really thankful to you for giving me the logic proceed further. I tried '=RunningCount([Task Name]; Row; ([Task Name]; [Incident ID]))'. It gave me desired results. :-
But the only thing that needs to be done is to bring the single Task associated with the Incident..

Going through the feedback and support pages will be a waste of your time. Apple won't respond to feedback, and support can't do anything regarding product suggestions, particularly not from a company with an existing product they wish to sell. The only attention you might get from Apple would be possible interest in selling your product through the Apple Stores, and I don't know how Apple chooses the third-party products they sell. All I could suggest would be writing to Apple's corporate headquarters:

Export Transaction Data to the File with the Counts in first Calumn

Hi All,
i have exported the transaction data to CSV Flatfile via Data Manager Standard Package "CPMB/EXPORT_TD_TO_FILE". And It was successful.
But I need now a Flatfile with the counts in the first calumn. How can I get it in Transformation File? Is it generally possible? or in Script Logic?
I would be grateful for every entries.

Hi Alisher,
You are refering to transformation file for record count. But in transformation file we mention the IDs which are displayed in some other format and we want to change them to the other.
In your case, would like to know, do you have some property in dimension which displays the record counts? If you have then you can design it using transformation and conversion files. But incase you dont have any such property then you can not add new column in the export file.

Form submit not working even with usage rights enabled

Hi everyone,
I created a form in Acrobat 7 professional (mac version), then used Acrobat 8 (windows version) to enable usage rights.
I have the following javascript code attached to a submit button:
this.mailForm(true, "[email protected]", "", "", "RSVP", "Yes! Please register me.");
When I test the form in the full version of Acrobat by pressing the submit button, it automatically launches my email program, attaches the form's .fdf file and addresses the email, ie. just as the code directs. The problem is that when I try and test in either Acrobat 7 or 8 Reader, it won't work, ie. I press the submit button but the email program doesn't open etc. As I said, I've already enabled usage rights in Acrobat 8 so I don't know why it's not working.
Can someone tell me what might be going wrong?

pjones, Tembowa is correct.
if you look up the mailForm in the JavaScript reference guide, you see it's marked with the letter 'F', meaning that the PDF requires Form rights in order for this method to work in Reader.
Now as you rightly say you can use Acrobat 8 pro to extend a PDF with usage or Save rights. (These will be marked by the letter 'S' in the JS reference guide.)
In short when you enable a PDF in Acrobat pro, you 'only' assign Save rights. This is not sufficient for the mailForm method to function in the free Reader.
For mailForm to work in the reader you need to assign a PDF with form rights, which can only be done using LC Reader extensions.
Hope this clarifies things.

Data usage counter

My provider is Bell in Ontario, Canada.
10 days into my billing cycle I noticed that this month the "unbilled" data usage as tracked by my provide is significantly less (about 100 MB or so) than the data usage tracked by the phone itself in the Settings area. Is this normal?

To ask the most obvious first, did you reset the usage counter at the start of your billing cycle? Or is it showing usage from the previous cycle?
Next, some providers have delays in their usage reporting. AT&T's delay is only a few hours, but I don't know about Bell Canada.

Problem with record count...

I try to solve one problem with count. This problem occurs when I getting multi records that I need to count. Take a look on the following query:
SELECT INVOICE,COUNT(INVOICE)
FROM TABLE WHERE ADDR =
(SELECT ADDR FROM TABLE
WHERE DELEVERY = 'DD'
GROUP BY ADDR||POSTDT
HAVING COUNT(DISTINCT ADDR||POSTDT) > 1)
GROUP BY INVOICE;
I expected to see each invoice with total count invoices that have been delivered to the same address and date. But it's give me only invoice and count 1(itself), regardless if two or more invoices have been delivered to the same address and the same date. I think, that I just lost myself in this query. Hopefully I gave enough information.

Problem with message count

I have problem with message count, in my inbox there are more than 0 messages but i got result of
Folder inbox = store.getFolder("Inbox")
int c =inbox.getMessageCount()
of c is 0
i.e i got c as zero rather than 5.

I am seeing the same thing and I agree with MathiasF's observation. My count seems to increase when I do a search for mail on the server. This has happened previously (iOS 5.x) but ending the Mail app always fixed it. The only way I can correct the count now is if I turn off sync for Mail on the Exchange account and re-enable. This clears my mail and causes my phone to go out and redownload. Rebooting and resetting the iPhone has not helped.

DAQmx - Measuring edge position (time) with a counter ?

Hi all,
I have two signals that I need to study using a USB 6212 (BNC) card:
(1) a short 0-8V signal (~500 ns) (yellow on the plot)
(2) a long signal (~6 µs) for which I have to measure the amplitude (purple on the plot).
The long signal (2) has to be connected to an analog input so that I can measure its amplitude. In addition, given the duration of the pulses, I need to use the max speed for the ADC conversion. That's why I'd like to use a counter for the other signal and not a second AI (it wouldn't work anyway given the short duration of the pulse (1)).
Initially, I wanted to measure the amplitude of (2) only if the short pulse (1) occured, which is possible with a trigger on the AI channel, but in this case I get a too long deadtime and the acquisition is very slow.
To speed up the process, I wanted to record all the data with the AI and the times at which the signal (1) gives a rising edge to post-process everything later (using a FIFO I guess).
So my question is wether it is possible to measure the position (ie the time) of an edge of a signal with a counter ?

This shows that you can use the counter to record the current value stored in the counter that is being driven by a clock. This has the upshot of creating an array that has the times of the event. To do this, you need to set the source and gate properly. These can be set first by configuring the counter to Count Edges (see DAQmx Create Channel) and then updating the CI.CountEdges.Term (in the DAQmx Channel Properties) to the channel that has your signal and SampClk.Src (in the DAQmx Timing Properties) to a known clock, such as the onboard SampleClock.
Keep in mind, the specs for the digital ports (which I assume include the counter ports) have a maximum voltage rating of 5.25 volts, so while it probably won't make a difference, you might want to divide down the voltage to be within spec.
Of course, there are other ways to do this. For instance, you could just sample a digital port along with your analog port and then in post processing look for edges, but I feel like this is the cleanest way to do it.
In any event, it seems very possible.

believe it will be easier if we display it better. What I want to
do is display the rental listings only once in a list. Example:
Listing 12345 with pool in Orlando Florida
Listing 34567 on golf community in Orlando Florida
Listing 98765 Waterfront in Ft Lauderdal Florida
I want a page to show before the listings so you would see
Ft. Lauderdale (1)
Orlando (2)
When you click Orlando (2) then you would just get just
Orlando listing to make navigating more simple.

Textare with character counter versus textarea with html editor

Hi
I am using a textarea with html editor. I need to restrict the user to not type more than 25000 characters? Can someone tell me as to how I can do that?
I know that one can set the maximum width for textarea with character counter and it prevents one from typing in more than the maximun specified, but I really need to use the html editor. Thanks.

This is caused by the charCount javascript function, which dynamically sets the text colour to 'red' when the maximum number of characters is entered, but "resets" it to 'black'.
Guess the way to avoid this is to create your own equivalent of the charCount function that captures the actual colour from the DOM and attach it to a textarea using the onchange and onkeyup attributes used in the built-in one.
