Ja, das klappt in der Regel problemlos.
Sicherheitshalber solltest Du vor dem Update den Katalog noch mal über "Datei > Katalog > Reparieren" behandeln - oder wie auch immer das in der deutschen Version heißt.

I am quite happy with Elements 1, but now have my images catalogued in SE3, can I link directly between the two programs?
Maybe this has been asked before but the user forum is a nightmare to negotiate.

Theer is no easy way to link them - this is something the paid-for PSA 2 can do. However, you can do simple drag and drop - drag a thumb out of PSA SE into PSE and the image will open. If you save back to the same file, you'll need to update the thumbnail. If you do a Save As, you'll need to import the new version.

Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer catalog conversion

I'm having trouble converting Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 catalog to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer. I get a Conversion Failed error which tells me to repair with the program that created it. I have tried several things including deleting all .avi files from the catalog, deleting references to missing files and backing up then trying to convert from an external HD. I'm running Vista Home Premium on a HP laptop. The Organizer optimize and repair don't seem to help in this case.
Does anyone have any history with this or advice?

Convert photoshop album SE 3.2 to Photoshop elements

It seems simple enough.
I have photoshop album SE 3.2 and it is working well with 8400 photos all tagged is various groups. I downloaded Photoshop elements 8 and installed it(succesfully). I then tried to convert the database over. It does 2% then comes up with:
"The conversion operation failed. Try repairing the catalog with the software that created it and retry conversion"
I have checked every photo, hit the "reconnect all missing files" option under the file tab. held the cntl key upon startup, used the oprimize and repair tabs in photoshop elements and nothing shows any errors but it still will not convert.
Is there something obvious I am missing ?
I have about 20 days left on my trial and I want to make sure it works before I buy it.

How do you convert a Photoshop Album 2.0 catalog to Photoshop Elements 13.0 catalog?

I have a lot of photographs with metadata and tags in Photoshop Album version 2.0 and I want to pull thee images, metadata, and tags into Photoshop Elements version 13.0 on a Windows 7 computer. Searching the web I found that this has to be done with the convert feature. I tried File, Manage Catalogs, Convert and point to the folder holding my Photo Project Catalog.psa file, but nothing happens. It does not apparently see the .psa file. How do I get my .psa catalog migrated into Elements 13?

Migrate from PS Album SE 3.2 to PS Elements 9?

Hello everybody.
I've been using Adobe PhotoShop Album SE 3.2 to import and organize the pictures taken with my iPhone 3Gs.
Then I changed my iPhone 3Gs with the new iPhone 4 and suddenly PS Album 3.2 stopped working and it didn't import pictures anymore.
I installed the trial version of PS Elements 9 and it worked again, but it didn't "import" the settings and pictures from the old PS Album SE 3.2.
Now my question is: how do I have to proceed to have in the end my PS Elements 9 *completely* substituting my old PS Album SE?
I still want to be able to have all my pictures and I'd like to maintain the existing albums from PS Album SE.
Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Before attempting to convert a catalog,

Reconnect or delete all missing files by doing
File > Reconnect > All Missing.

Thansfer adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 photos to element 8.0

I've had adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 since I've had my computer. All my family photos are stored there. This morning after uploading photos the program kept closing. I clicked on the register and an email was sent to me telling me that as of July 2009 I can no longer get a unlock pin to open the program. I've been using the program with no problems until this morning. I called adobe and was told I need to upgrade to elements 8.0. I asked if I purchase the upgrade will my photos load to the new version? I was told yes. I ordered the disk and in the meantime downloaded the trial version until the new program disk arrives. Once loaded, the photos didn't load, nor was I able to manually load the photos from 3.2 to 8.0. I called adobe again and was instructed to now send this message to you.
Please help me to either "unlock" or instruct me how to obtain the photos from 3.2. I was very happy with the original version and have hundreds of family photos which I now fear I may loose. I'm frantic right now and need a solution. My photos mean the world to me and my family.

I need to transfer photos from one computer to another and have been searching in vain exactly where the tag information is stored. I have used Album starter for at least 5 years and currently have 3.0 on my old PC. I have downloaded and installed 3.2 on the new PC and was planning on updating to Elements once I get the photos (and tags) migrated.

Different templets for the photo albums in Revel similar to photoshop elements 8

I used a feature in Elements 8 for my Photo Albums that had different templets that made the albums take a different look, and also I could choose one that showed the file number by the photo. Is this feature available in Revel?
If so, how do I make it work??

That feature is not available in Revel. In Elements 11 that has a direct connection to Revel, you can add graphic and templates to the images. Then upload the image as a jpg to Revel

Andrew, I know I am extremely late to the party but I too use Grid View. I had the same problem that you had but have found this to work for me. I used it and it is still holding as my default sorting even after switching between the Artist page and Grid View.
Once you are inside of the Artist page continue to click on the Album column until it shows Album by Artist/Year.
That will give you each album sorted by the year instead of it randomly sorting it for you each time you leave an Artist's page and then back again.

Import from Photoshop Album PSA to Lightroom (same in Elements?)

here my experience with the import from Photoshop Album to Lightroom.
1. Tags and Collection import

This is really annoying, as you have no way to know it
before you search for them.
3. Import of the edited version of the pictures

Because I've used PSA, PS and now CS2 and 3 for years, I had really hoped--indeed, assumed--that LR would be an elegant and trouble-free solution with which to migrate a large and growing catalog away from the slowness and lack of view in PSA, as well as adding RAW-handling ability (since storage dropped through the floor, I shoot JPEG and RAW by default). While the LR interface is pretty and the fleur-de-lis whimsical, LR is in my admittedly-limited experience neither elegant nor trouble-free from a database perspective. Perhaps in a few versions it will be, but it isn't now. The PSA import was a joke, operations are slow, and despite preference settings, it fires up whenever I hook up anything which XP considers to be an external drive. I have since licensed a previously-installed demo copy of IMatch, which I'd been holding off doing based on my flased LR assumption. Importing PSA to IMatch requires some simple under-the-hood work in Access (there are posted routines to accomplish this), but once that was done the import was flawless, with all PSA tags in their own cubbyhole and associated with the proper images. Why Adobe didn't facilitate this is a real head-scratcher.

You're welcome. It was not an answer, it was a question, and it could lead to being helpful if you explain why you think you need to uninstall.
As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have. If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.

Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 and Photoshop Elements 11

Is Photoshop Album 2.0 compatible with Photoshop Elements 11?
At present I am running this old software on Windows 7 and sometimes it tells me to reinstall the software. If I buy Elements 11 will I still be able to access my old photos which are stored in a photowell in Album 2?

Moving Photoshop Album 2.0 catalogue to Elements 13

All my photos are on Photoshop Album V2.0 on an old PC running windows XP. I've moved to Macs - OS X Mavericks and want to try and copy my Album catalogue over. I've downloaded Elements 13 free trial on my Mac and am happy with that. Adobe help says my Album catalogue can be exported to Elements using backup/restore but both machines have to be running the same version of Elements. But Elements 13 won't run on XP according to the spec. I assume if I have Album and Elements running on the same computer I can move the catalogue from one to the other? So I've looked for Elements 12 free trial and can't find it, only Elements 13 free trial appears to be available now. Downloads of earlier versions look like you need a serial number. So I'm in a catch 22 situation. I don't want to buy Windows 7 for a machine I'm going to scrap, particularly as what I'm trying to do might not work. Where can I get a trail version that will run on XP? Or is there another solution.

Can't sync photos with photoshop elements 11 album

I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
Any thoughts?
Oh, and if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.

I solved the mystery. It had to do with the file metadata in the Photoshop Elements catalog. When I moved the catalog (pictures) from my old machine to the new machine, the path (folder location) of the images changed. So, although the catalog had cached thumbnails of the photos to display in Photoshop Elements (which tricked me into thinking that the path to the images was correct), the paths were actually wrong. All I had to do was “reconnect” the missing images (a feature in Photoshop Elements which corrects missing/wrong paths to images) and now everything works correctly (sync in iTunes).
