PS and Cloud

If I buy into Cloud based PS, how do I stand with regard to my existing plug-ins? I am currently running CS5 with many plu-ins that I am not prepared to lose.
If I buy into Cloud based PS for the reduced payment earnt by being an existing CS5 user, how long does that special proce hold?
If at some stage I feel unhappy with the 'version' of PS I am running through Cloud, can I 'freeze'my version? Like stopping with PS 4 and not upgrading to 5 or 6.
What relationship will Adobe have with the Monopolies and Mergers Commission in the UK and the Office Of Fair Trading in the UK to ensure that Cloud based contracts fully comply with English Law? Bearing in mind the importance of the Contracts Unfair Terms Act and the EU Regulations on Fair Retail Trading.

Straight up: Most of your plug-ins would have to be upgraded even if you just bought a CS6 standalone upgrade. The same will be true for PS CC. Contact the vendors about compatible versions when the time comes.

There is no weay to "freeze" CC, but older versions will remain avialable as far as 5 versions back, meanining CS6 will still be available in 2017 for instance (assuming it is technically still compatible to any computer you can buy then).

I purchased Lion on the app program but that did not seem to update my software or my operating system. Curious. It showed up on my menu bar saying it was downloading then disappeared. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Suggestions where I should look to make sure it is installed (which clearly it isn't)

Anyone using source control AND cloud sharing?

Hi. I'm curious if anyone has any experience or tips to share about a RoboHelp environment that uses BOTH source control and cloud sharing.
My company uses perforce. I'm purchasing a couple copies of TCS5, one for me in California, one for writer colleague in Europe. I'd like to use Perforce for version control/backup, but use Dropbox for RH asset sharing and sync. Is this workabout? I'm guessing that the Dropbox/sync mechnism won't work if one or both of us has not checked out a file that needs to be (automatically via sync) updated. ("Not checked out" = file is in read only state.)
If RH automatically checks files in/out of perforce in order to complete a cloudshare sync, that would be most cool!

Have you tried the scenario with RH 11?
It should automatically check-out the file or should prompt for it based on the settings Tools -> Options -> Version Control
I tried with Robo Source Control and SharePoint. And it is working for me. Check-in has to be done mannually.

Currently iam facing error is to develop the integartion between ERP and Cloud(C4C) system (SAP ERP->PI->Cloud(C4C))
We have installed all the standard tpz packages in ESR & done respective connection settings also.Now iam facing the below error while PI
communicating to C4C,is there any specific connection settings need to do in C4C or PI side let me know.
Receiver SOAP channel:
1.Target Url- provided
2.Username & pwd-provided
3.Keystore Entry -provided
4.Keystore view-Provided
Apart from this anyother details need to provide or in C4C side.

I'm sorry you're having such trouble using the ExportPDF service. What browser are you using?
Please try clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser (here's a list of supported browsers: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.

1. Pre-select (highlight) the layer to move in the Layers panel. or-
2. [ALT+Right mouse click] to select the wanted layer in the image window.
and maybe
3. Set the PS option to "Auto-select" a layer with cursor hover. (can be very confusing!)

Coupled with Time Machine backing up the iTunes backup automatically, great. As long as iCloud doesn't have a problem, and my external disk holds up...

It is a very impressive phone.
You might want to look at FILES or FILES LITE. I use it for pdf and excel files.
Also, Trapster is very good for directions. And police radar/redlight cameras.

Anyone having trouble with App Store install and cloud store buttons not working after 6.1 update? I go to install an app. I hit install and nothing happens. About a minute later it asks me for my password and then it does nothing. The install button goes back to saying install. However the app shows up in my installed list and in cloud but no app installed.

OK - I found a helpful post - closed app store app and under Settings/General/Date and Time I reset the date and time by switching off "Set Automatically" and then switching it on again. Went back to App Store, launched it and Updatesseems to be working again.
Go figure? Logical, No!

Connecting multiple services together: Google Drive, Drop Box, and Cloud.

Is there a way to connect multiple services such as Google Drive, Drop Box, and Cloud into one program that allows to you manage all three at once? I am trying to look for a program that can connect all three together into one. Is there such a thing?

No such program exists that I've seen, and given the proprietary nature of each service, particularly iCloud, I very much doubt such a program would be possible.

Mail not syncing - different between Mac, iPhone and Cloud

Thought I had moved to the Cloud, but having major issues having all of my mail be the same in all 3 places - Macbook, iPhone and Cloud website. Things I have sent from my Mac do not even show being on there, and certainly not in phone, but are on Cloud. What is the best way to check that I have this set up correctly, so I can have access to mail where ever I go, for you know, work stuff.
Mac is running Lion 10.7.2, and iPhone is updated to OS5.

Unfortunately from one point of view, I have only had one issue with iCloud which related to corrupt iWork documents, so I'm not able to draw on personal experience at solving issues like yours, I'm just drawing on other users experiences here. Out of interest did you create a brand new iCloud account or migrate from a mm account.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. (Deleting the account only deletes the account from the phone, not from iCloud.) If you simply changed the name of your ID, you can simply sign in with the new ID. However, if you are changing to a new ID, when you delete the account, choose Keep On My iPhone, then create a new account with your new ID, turn your iCloud data syncing back to On, and when prompted, choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.

I saved a corrected, most up to date version of my master Address Book Contacts as a back-up on my Mac Book Pro.
then in an effort to "simplify my life" i attempted to sync my I phone contacts - ( pre clean-up version) with my clean list on Mac Book Pro, New I pad and newly available icloud. DUH!! Using iTunes to do the sync caused the clean MacBOOK Pro list to be commingled with the dirty iphone contacts. amd now the whole mess is in the cloud.
I need to clear out the contaminated lists from all iplaces, and startover with Back-up on my macbook pro. BUT HOW???

I had exported an address book backup: abbu
so since i wrote, i have found my way into the cloud: selected all entries - deleted them all from the cloud.
This wiped out contacts on my iphone and i pad, and MBP, as well as on the cloud. I then imported the abbu back into my now empty address book.
To repopulate the crowd, i selected all in my address book and created a single card vCard for export to my desktop. I then dragged that vcard into my empty cloud. Now my cloud has the same clean contacts as my MBP addressbook. The cloud then pushed the clean contacts into my empty ipad and iphone contacts.
I had to go back to Address Book>preferences>Accounts and Add an I cloud account - but if you accidentally create a second i cloud account - all of a sudden your address book will duplicate itself. I quickly reversed it by deleting one of the icloud accounts in my Address Book>preferences>Accounts.
I created a new entry on my MBP and it is now on all devices and in cloud
I also created a new entry on my iPhone and it is now in the address book on my MBP.
I feel empowered!!
Have i missed anything??

Easiest method to transfer CS6 and cloud from old Mac to new one?

Oi. I'm old and have poor memory that makes this Very difficult. I need to transfer licensed CS6 and cloud member (9.90 a mo) from my old iMac to my new iMac. I backed it up under Maverick using Carbon Copy Cloner. I don't know where to look or how to transfer.

You are allowed two installs. You can just download,install, and activate on the new Mac.
A clean install is less error prone than recovering it from backup.
When you are sure you do not need the old install, just deactivate and uninstall.

It depends on the iPod shuffle model... Assuming your shuffle is the 4th gen (or 3rd gen) model, do you use automatic syncing or the manual method (drag and drop song on iPod in iTunes)?

How to merge 2 Adobe Ids that I own, with Licenses and Cloud subscriptions dispersed on them ?

I have bought some licenses with an Id but at some point later ended up creating a new one - I have licenses on both and Cloud subscription on one referring to licenses under the other. How can I merge them? Or how do I tranfer the subscriptoion on my older Id?

Don't believe there is any self-service, automated, or online way to do this... Try contacting customer service is your best bet, and via live chat is typically fastest/easiest.
