PS CC '14 not properly recognizing vRAM?

I'm sorry if this has already been asked. I tried to click on a couple of links for troubleshooting GPU problems, but got an error saying the page was not available. I had PS CS6, which worked great. I recently made the switch to CC 2014 and now it gives me an error when I open a file saying I need at least 512MB of vRAM and that it is not detected on my system. Certain features are shut off because of this. I have an Nvidia 750 Ti (EVGA SC) 2GB. I've looked and looked and I can't seem to find an answer to this specific problem. It has never worked properly with the original drivers or updates since then. I've adjusted settings in the Nvidia control panel to try and optimize it for Adobe and nothing seems to help, no matter what changes are made.
Running Windows 7 Ultimate (64).
Anything I can do??? I'm about to just switch back to CS6. CC also won't let my Intuos4 rotate the canvas either. At this point it seems like more hassle than it is worth, but I thought I would ask.
Thanks.

When you launch Photoshop, Photoshop launches a console app called the sniffer, which pokes at the GPU hardware and reports its result to Photoshop. Photoshop will always dump the sniffer's diagnostic information into a file called sniffer-out.txt in the Photoshop settings folder.
    On Win: C:\Users\khopps\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Settings\sniffer-out.txt
Of course, replace khopps with your own username to find this file. If you are able to find the file, please send it to me at khopps at adobe dot com.
I should be able to get some information from it.
Thanks,
Kevin

  • My Gen 7 ipod is detected by itunes but not properly recognized

    My gen 7 ipod is detected by itunes but not properly recognized.  I have reloaded itunes and other trouble shooting, but no luck

    Suggest you try the following two steps starting with the first one. If it doesn't correct the problem perform the second step.
    Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
    Reset iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Mac Air 13 running Windows 7 not properly recognizing external monitor

    My Macbook Air 13 running Windows 7 Pro through Bootcamp is no longer properly recognizing an external Apple 27 inch monitor since the latest package of windows updates. When plugged in, the external display duplicates that of the laptop (both being identified as screen "1") and both at resolution 800x600. Attempts to reset resolution to appropriate levels fails. Also function to restore to an earlier date/update point won't oblige, claiming unatohrized and "catastrophic failure." Any suggestions?

    This a work around and its work for now untill Parrellel provide a fix for thier programe.
    CPU throttle will work for this issue by scalling down the process for your Parrellel for mac. Just remember anything you want to use your parrellel you have to run cputhrottle script in your terminal
    Start Active Monitor on your MAC and pay attention to prl_vm_app CPU usage
    Note that when you start using your windown on your mac via parrellel the prl_vm_app cpu usage runs over 100 and when that happens your mac start to get hot and by keeping this down using cpu throttle your mac stay cooler and doesnt get hot.
    Downlaod CPU throttle from this website and install.  http://www.willnolan.com/cputhrottle/cputhrottle.htm
    Open a terminal on your mac and run ./cputhrottle pid 50 (you can check your PID for prl_vm_app running active monitor on mac)
    The value 50 can be decrease or increase but remember the more you increase value your mac will start to run hot so keeping at 50 is recommended.
    I know this issue have been around for a while and this will help keeping your Mac cooler when running parrelle on mac

  • Constructor Not Properly Recognized

    Alright, I'm building a scorekeeping program for a pool game some friends and I play. I had it working for only two players, however a friend suggested that it would be better if we could have n players, so I replaced the two Player objects with an array of them, so I've spent the past hour or so getting everything compatible with the array. However, when I changed the constructor for my GUI, it is no longer working. I'm getting a compile error, and I'm not sure why. If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it.
    Constructor:
    public NinetyThreeGUI(int numPlayers, Player[] players, Player active)
                   //stuff
    {code}
    Call:
    {code:java}
    NinetyThreeGUI(Driver.numPlayers, Driver.players, Driver.players[startInput.getText()]);
    {code}
    And the error I'm getting:
    {code:java}
    cannot find symbol method NinetyThreeGUI(int,Player[],Player)
    {code}
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

    You need to use new with the constructor name.
    Unless you're already inside a c'tor and you want to invoke another c'tor of the current class or the superclass, then you use this(...) or super(...)
    Foo foo = new Foo(...);
    class Foo {
      Foo() {
        this(...); // to invoke another Foo c'tor
        // or
        super(...); // to invoke a superclass c'tor
      Foo(...) {
    }

  • IPod not properly recognized

    I have an PB G4 Titanium and recently purchased a song from the iTunes store in iTunes 7.1. When I tried to transfer it to the iPod it told me that it can't be copied because the iPod software must be updated. However it has the latest installed. I thought it might be iTunes and updated to 7.4.2. Now it won't even recognize the iPod. A message appears and says that an iPod has been detected but it needs to be reconnected. That doesn't work. Same with my wife's iPod. They are both 4G. The iPod mounts fine in the finder and I am able to browse the files there.
    I've also got a MacBook and there everything works normally, so it's not the iPods, however iTunes is at version 7.4.
    Anybody else has a similar problem?

  • My Iphone 3gS is not being recognized in Itunes on my laptop. It is charging so the USB port is working properly. My wifes Iphone IS being recognized by the same laptop. My Iphone IS being recognized by the desktop computer and another laptop

    My Iphone is not being recognized in Itunes on my laptop. It is charging, so the USB port is working. My Iphone does work on another Laptop in the house and My wifes Iphone is being recognized on the same laptop that mine is not. Any suggestions?

    The key bit of information here is that one iPhone works on the computer in question and another does not. So it is unlikely that AMDS is not running or there is a driver problem; if either of these was the problem neither phone would be recognized in iTunes.
    Unfortunately, I don't have an answer either. Except to verify that both iPhones (the one that works and the one that doesn't) use the same cable and the same USB port.
    Also, are the two iPhones the same model and same iOS version?

  • Seagate portable drive not being recognized after OSX10.9.2

    After I installed the 9.2 update, my Seagate portable external drive is not being recognized - doesnt show up in Finder, or Disk Utility, but I know the drive is live, as I can feel it vibrating
    Someone please help, all my time machine backup is on that

    I had the same issue - the Seagate drive is in a format that will recognize both Windows and Mac formats and there seems to be a flaw with Seagate.  After working on this for five hours and finally calling Apple, I found out why.  If you reformat to Mac OS extended journaled then they usually start working properly.
    When I contacted Seagate they said it was best if you are just using a mac to just use the Mac formatting.
    Hope this helps and good luck.  Hope there wasn't any valuable data on the drive.

  • Airport extreme can not be recognized?, Airport extreme can not be recognized?, Airport extreme can not be recognized?

    My Airport Extreme Station (4th Generation) is all of a sudden not recogized by the Airport Utility Software. I rebooted the Airport Extreme device a few times, disconnected it completely, and did it set it back to the factory default setting. No recognition. I tried configurating it with all my devices; IPhone 4S, IPad, MacBookPro and new iMac. Always the same message, even though I have internet access through the Airport default Wifi-ID. So the the Airport device works properly. Just no access for configuration, Does anyone has an advice to get back into the Airport Set-up through the Airport Utility program? Thank you.

    Hello loving-truth,
    I understand that your Airport Extreme is not being recognized in AirPort Utility, however you are able to access the internet via the Wi-Fi signal. We can give the steps in the following article a shot:

  • Ipod not being recognized...Windows XP Mass Storage Problem

    I'm like many of you who installed the new Itunes 7 and is having the same connection problems. My 30g video Ipod will not be recognized on my laptop and itunes. I believe my usb cord is working properly because when I connect my ipod into the laptop it charges.
    I've tried everything that was said on this forum: the five r's, disk mode, updating drivers, etc.
    But I was wondering: I have the iCarPlay FM Transmitter Has anyone noticed, that when they connect their ipod into it, a error pops up on the screen: "USB Connection and Firmwire are not compatible"...something along that line. And now when I connect my ipod, the sound is absoultely terrible! It only comes out of one speaker in my car. My friend owns an ipod nano and hers works perfectly with my transmitter.
    Now my other question: I don't see my ipod in the device manager...but I do see is Mass Storage Controller highlighted with a big yellow exclamtion triangle. I click on it and try to install from the ipod cd and nothing happens, I can't even uninstall it. Do you think that's my ipod not working?
    Also, I've tried connecting my ipod to my two computer desktops and it's not recognized either and I also tried connecting my ipod to my sister's Mac computer and nothing happens.
    Any other suggestions to help my ipod? When the heck is Apple going to respond with a new update?
    I should of just bought the Zune instead of the iPod!
    Dell Inspiron 700m   Windows XP   laptop

    Follow the instructions in this link: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305136 Even if there are no updates available, follow the instructions to reload your USB driver. After that, go into Device Manager, right click on your iPod and reformat it (FAT32). After this go into iTunes and Restore your iPod.

    I know you are frustrated, but statements like this don't exactly motivate others here to help you. And if you think that would solve your problem, go to the Zune discussion groups.

  • Itunes was not properly installed

    On opening Itunes i get the message "Itunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CD's you need to reinstall Itunes". I am able to import a CD without any problem but not able to burn a CD. I have done a clean uninstall by removing Itunes, Quicktime, Apple software update, Apple mobile device support, Bonjour and Apple application support. I have now tried this three times. I understand that it could be a problem with the GearAspiwdm.sys driver. I don't appear to have this driver installed. I have tried the gear support site and downloaded the driver installer but don't seem able to locate the gear driver anywhere on the system. Can any one help? I would be eternally grateful!
    When i managed to load the gear drivers my PC would not recognise any CD/DVD drive on my system.

    Well, after a reinstall, it obviously works again... But the question is: for how long. The last time this solved this issue, it remained solved for just under a week. So, if it still works in just over a week, I will consider the issue solved.
