PS CS3 - working on client pc and the eraser tool has gone pixelated ?
Working onsite on a clients pc - and suddenly using the erraser toll it has gone all pixleated !! grrr
I have open PS with resetting all tools, the just resetting the eraser tolls. cannot for th elife of me able to get it back to a smooth blend ?
Tired and frustrated - any helpers please.

Firstly - thanks folks - Got up this morning with great suggestion to get this sorted today.
1) eraser tool is set to Brush op=100% and Flow 100%
Mode is -= CmYK (ticked to 8 bit - changed to 16 bit no change)
So will have a go at resetting preferences. read this and did the restart holding Alt, Ctrl, and Shif. So will find the prefs.psp !
If you have larger troubles, hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file.
A2: You can also simply search your hard drive for a *.psp file and delete it. It will be called something along the lines of "Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp".

Ive had my 13 inch macbook pro for less than 30 days and the battery health has gone down to 92% and the computer itself is so slow...i paid $50.00 for an OLD windows computer with 512 mb of ram and it is much faster..is this normal for mac?? It says that the computer is not authorized but it is and the old computer has been deauthorized. If you need more information just let me know

The cropping tool has gone haywire.
The cropping tool no longer works simply and efficiently. Instead of just drawing a rectangle around what I want to keep, it sort of floats vertically for a distance, then stops. There is also a grid of six squares, which I don't need. Help!

When the user press the button Calculate Tax and click on Tax details then this should be updated automatically. But it does not work it is empty and the user has to update manually.
All setup looks fine.
Please let me know what can be done on this?

Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again. -

If you mean AppleCare, then I would believe the answer will be yes.
First make sure you have a full backup of everything on your Mac, then run, don't walk to your nearest Apple store.

I have a fairly new iPod touch and the touch screen has suddenly stopped working..... If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

If you can afford it, go with a Crucial M4 SSD.
If your in a limited budget, go with a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB.
The SSD will be the fastest one and the Seagate being faster than a conventional drive.
If you decide to go conventional, avoid the Western Digital Scorpio Blue. They tend to have issues with Macbooks.

I have a MacBook Pro and the batter icon has an "X" in it. I attempted resetting the SMC but it's still there. Not sure if the SMC didn't work or I have another problem. Help?

Also hold the OPTION key and click on the Apple logo in the menu bar and click on system information, in the left column select power. Under the battery info see if it is charging (with the power adapter plugged in) as well as the health info (condition should be normal), and battery installrd (should be YES)
If other than these are different you may want to take it in to a Genius bar for a full diagnosis they will do that for dree.

I have an Imac running snow leopard and have recently installed a cannon i-sensys lbp7750Cdn printer since then I can't get the printer working and the air port has lost the DNS servers; if it ever had them!!! but it dose not look happy and it is telling me so. Can any one help please?
Snow Leopard breaks quite a few drivers - my Canon exhibited the same problem.
I eventually found updated drivers on the Canon website. You can try that with the HP, but if the all-in-one is more than a year or so old, don't hold your breath.
You can also try Software Update to see if it will offer new drivers, or failing that go to the Support Downloads site and search for HP updates.
In fact there's a new one for HP at the top of the list just now.
You may not necessarily want the latest one, though - check the specs to see if your model is covered; if not, search for the previous update etc. -

Hello Carlos,
It sounds as though you may have 'Swipe between full-screen apps' enabled in the Trackpad pane of System Preferences. This can be accidentally triggered, and appear to move an open window off of the screen. You might try disabling this feature, or just reversing the direction to get back to the desired space.
