PS CS5 won't print after uninstall of old printer

I am running PSCS5 and today I uninstalled my old printer and I am unable to print to my new printer. The printer works for all other apps so it is Adobe PS that has the issue. How can I troubleshoot this please.
Every time I try to print it just closes out and gives me a issue window. I installed the trial for CC thinking it would clear up the preferences or something maybe but CC only puts out blank pages with nothing on the paper. Is there a place that I can delet the old printer from my CS5?

What printer? What OS? Did you install the most recent driver after you uninstalled the printer?

Indesign CS5 won't print specific pages within document

I'm working on Indesign CS5. The issue is with a specific document, and just started happening on version 11. All previous versions of the file have printed with no problems. I have so far determined that it is a document level problem as I can print other documents in Indesign with no issues. I have also determined which pages are giving me an error message: I can print all but one spread of this 16-page document. For example, it will print pages 1-9 and 12-16, but will not print 10-11. It gives it a try, and then gives me an error message box that just reads "error: " with no code or explaination. Any one else out there experienced this or know what's going on? There's no overset text, unlinked graphics or missing fonts, if that helps. Also, I'm working on a mac.
Edit: I have also already tried different print settings, and repasting everything into a new document that I created.

If that doesn't work, move the pages from spread to a new document so you can play without risking the file you have now. First, try to print the spread as-is, then if it doesn't print remove half the objects and try again. If the file prints without removing anything, then move all the pages fromthe old file to a new one and save with a new name, then try again. If you have to remove objects, there is probably a problem with one of the objects on the spread. You'll bew able to isolate it very fast by dividing the group of things that won't print in half, then dividing the half that won't print, and so on.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch after Mac update

I updated my mac yesterday to Maverick and now Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch. Can you tell me what files I need to delete to get it to launch. I tried reinstalling it, and that didn't help.

It's very strange. When I try to double click on the program to open it,
it's like I'm doing nothing. it sort of blinks like it's going to open but
does nothing. That's the way it is if I control click and try to open too.
I did try to reboot. Is there something I could delete in the Library
file or something?

DW CS6 Won't Start After Uninstalling CS5.5

I purchased an upgrade of DW CS6 and the install went just fine. It worked fine after installation, so I ran the uninstall of CS5.5 and now CS6 will not start.
I'm on a Mac, and I went to Applications->Utilities->Adobe Installers and ran the uninstall of CS5.5, then restarted the system. When I click the CS6 icon in the dock, it bounces a few times, then quits. No program is launched.
I fixed this by going to the Adobe Store, signing-in, clicking on my order history, then re-downloading and re-installing the product.

Interesting article, but I knew I was leaving PowerPC apps behind when I moved to OS 10.7, and Adobe claims that After Effects CS 5.5 is fully compatible with Lion. But you must be right about prefs; there's gotta be something causing the Mac OS to think this version of CS is ancient...
Since my initial message, I've tried and failed to find any details about how to select the right prefs to delete. I also ran Disk Utility to repair permissions on my system drive. That got rid of the PowerPC error:) Now on startup AE says mediacore fails to initialize. I can choose to quit or continue on that error, but continuing just results in another error that says dynamiclinkmanager unexpectedly quit, and then AE locks up and I have to force quit it. Not much progress!
No other answers on this so far... Before I uninstall the entire Creative Suite and then delete all Adobe system and hidden files everywhere, any more suggestions? Or a list of the right prefs I should trash?

64 Bit CS5 Won't run after I unchecked the 'C' Scratch Drive....

The problem started when I went into the 64 bit version of CS5; edit : preferences : performance and in the scratch drive options I unchecked the ‘C’ drive option. (I know.... doesn't make sense to do that) CS5 runs from the C drive BTW. I then closed the program and on restart it would not work. When trying to open CS5 64 bit version I get an Adobe Photoshop CS5 message that states: “Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary access privleges. Use the ‘Properties’ command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file. When I click on the OK button I get a second message that says, “Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary access privledges. Use the ‘Properties’ command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file. Un install and install takes me to the same problem. For what it’s worth the 32 bit version of CS5 runs fine. The root cause is likely a permissions issue. You need to make sure you have Full Control privileges to the root folder of each of the hard drives you have told Photoshop to use, as well as to the folder identified on your system by the TEMP environment variable.
Also, you may want to just turn off Windows UAC entirely, though you should research UAC and fully understand what it does and what the additional risks are before making the decision to do this.
A quick fix for you to get you working again might be to press and hold the Control and Alt keys immediately after starting Photoshop from its icon or menu item. If you're quick enough, it will pop up a dialog allowing you to re-specify the scratch disks you had before when it worked.

ITunes won't open after uninstalling FCP 7

I had to reinstall FCP 7 so i used the "uninstall FCS" application that came with it. After doing so i went to check my itunes while it re-installed. I suddenly got a " you are not authorized on this computer" message. And only had an OK as a response. This only came up once and it still confuses me. then itunes crashed and i got the re-open dialogue box. "no biggie" i'll just re-open. then the same message popped up. And now for 24 hours i have had no access to itunes.
at this point it starts to "checking your library" and then after about 3 seconds it stops and crashes. i have tried every fix i've found. But here's the Crash report. please help i think it's a problem with core.

InDesign CS5 Won't Print Duplex

Hi,
I have InDesign CS5 and a Laserjet 2605DN printer. I printed duplex pages using InDesign with no problem on my old computer (Windows Vista) but now that I have another computer with Windows 8, I not able to print duplex.
There's no two-sided option available in InDesign's print dialogue. I have to choose "Setup," where a popup states, "If the desired print setting is available in InDesign's print dialogue box, please set it there to avoid printing conflicts."
I can print duplex from Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word... just not InDesign. I've searched for solutions, but haven't found anything related to InDesign. I'm hoping someone here can offer some help.
I don't understand why InDesign wouldn't have a duplex option available in its print dialogue box like other programs do.

Okay, I read through a couple of "More Like This" posts mentioned on the right-hand side of this forum and one post mentioned setting the paper size as "Defined by Driver." When I checked my setting, I saw it was already showing "Defined by Driver." So, I changed it to "Letter." And that solved the problem; I'm able to print duplex now, thankfully. I hadn't even noticed the paper size wasn't showing letter to begin with.
Hopefully this might be of help to someone else now.

Mac OSX/CS5; Won't print

CS5/Mac OSX: Will not print on Canon d420 or Epson 1400. - other applications (Office) work fine. Adobe soft ware does not recognize printer connection. Nothing seems to work

Which Adobe software specifically are you referring too? Also what version of Mac OS are you currently using?

Firefox won't install after uninstall

Hey all,
I just bought a new 2012 rMBP and a local authorized computer repair shop transfered over my data from my old laptop, which was a macbook as well. The only reason i had them do it is because my old laptop was subject to severe water damage, and I had no way to access the HDD
Anyway, he transfered over my apps, files, and everything. Firefox was transfered over as well. I uninstalled firefox by dragging it from the applications menu to the trash, and then downloaded the current copy (the one that was installed on my old laptop was 6 releases behind). I go to install the newly downloaded copy and it tells me there is already a firefox installed, and i can replace, leave it alone, or stop. If I pick "replace" it gives me a message of:
"The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again."
I've searched for firefox files and there are none.
Where do I go from here?

Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to the state it’s in now.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo chflags -R 0 /Applications/Firefox.app
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
Try the installation again. If it works, you can quit Terminal.

Illustrator CS5 won't open after using trial version of CC

I tried the CC version of Illustrator and once it expired, I am now unable to open any of my files from my previous CS5 version . Message
I get is --quote: This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without pdf content. To place or open this file in another application,
it should be re-saved from Adobe Illustrator with the "Create PDF compatible file" option turned on. This option is in the Illustrator Native
Format options dialog box which appears when saving an Illustrator file using the Save As command---end quote.
I am not trying to open the files in another application. I'm trying to open them in Illustrator CS5. Since I'm unable to re-save the files,
I can't turn on the Create PDF compatible file option. None of my files will open.
Can someone help?

The Illustrator file format is not downwards compatible.
You would have needed to save the files to the CS5 version.

CS5 won't open after update

I updated to 10.6.5 and now CS5 opens-and immediately quits. I've repaired permissions, done a repair disc from the install disc, trashed the preferences, zapped the PRAM, reset SMC...to no avail. I can't deactivate CS5 so that I can reinstall it because I can't open it.
I'm not techy, so I hope someone will tell me what I can do assuming I'm an idiot.

FP9 won't install after uninstall

I'm using swfobject and expressinstall to load a Flash8
movie.
I have expressinstall working in Firefox, but not in IE7.
The Adobe autoupdater loads the update files but Flash Player
can't be found.

I start by running "fp_6.0.65_activex.exe" to generate
"Flash.ocx", and copy "Flash.ocx" into
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash".
When I test with expressinstall.html, it shows that FP6 is
the current player and I get the Flash 9 updater prompt that goes
to ""
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/update/current/swf/autoUpdater.swf"
when I click yes.
So all is fine up to that point.
But when I get redirected to the Adobe Flash Player install
page the Flash movie that's supposed to run during the installation
doesn't appear, and so it never reports that the installation was
complete. The page simply loads without the install movie and
reports "Done" in the lower left corner. It never goes back to
index.php and reloads my flash movie (the way Firefox does).
In addition, the Adobe install page copies the following
files into "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash"
"Flash9c.ocx", "FlashUtil9c.exe", "install.log",
"uninstall_activeX.exe". These appear to be the correct files. The
installation also leaves behind "Flash.ocx" which is from the
version 6.0.65 installation.
If I run expressinstall.html again it reports that there is
no Flash Player installed.
I've also removed this folder from the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\SafeVersions.

Encore CS5 won't open after I downloaded and installed the content as directed. The top of the project opens at the bottom of the screen, freezes and is inaccessable.

Encore was launching and working fine but,as many others before me, I had no content in the Library panel and downloaded the content files from the link Adobe provides. When I relaunched Encore it froze at the bottom of my screen. I have restarted the application, the computer, and even deleted the preferences file but Encore still freezes. I am using a Mac, OSX ver. 10.6.8., 6 gigs of ram. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you meant to write CS5?
My understanding is that CS5 had a "self contained" installer that installed everything, and it was CS6 that required extra downloads from Adobe

Illustrator CS5 won't print Wysiwyg

So I
have a broschure that I have made that tri-folds. There are 3 columns of text. and a nice pad of untouched area all the way around the brochure.It looks fantastic while in illustrator. But do an export image or a straight to printer and it is as if the image has enlarged taking up every inch of paper. I've tried using the letter size, I've tried borderless printing. In the print dialogue My image looks larger than the bounding box. Speaking of which is not grabable and therefore not adjustable

Interesting about that dotted line. The printer is an HP Photosmart 7760 series that worked perfectly under XP. The printer is older thatn Win7. So. It could be that the Win7 drivers are just basic enough to sort of work in Win 7. That totally blows. Now, not only do I need to go get a new scanner But I also must get a new printer. @#&%!!!!!
I had already started a brand new doc making sure the artboard was letter size and I still got the same result. Now I know why.
