PS CS6 Filters greyed out for Timeline clips - what's wrong?

I've just watched an Adobe TV video by Julianne Kost about video features in PS CS6.
At one point she converts a video clip into a Smart Object in order to apply a PS filter, but when I do this, the entire Filters menu is greyed out.
The mp4 clip plays normally in the Timeline otherwise.
Is there something I have to do to make this work?

I tried the same procedure again, but this time the filters were available. Not sure what was different - will repost if I can reproduce original issue.

Conform greyed out in the Clip Window?

It used to be easy . . .
I want to conform a 720p 50fps QT clip to 25fps.
As per the Manual, I opened the clip in CT but "Conform" is greyed out in the Clip Window.
I attempted a Batch Conform but it showed the process at 50% then CT quit.
+Where did I go wrong!+ ??

is fcp showing your original clip as 720p50 or 720p25 ?
If it shows as 720p25 with 50fps (lets say you used 720pN mode on hvx200) then CT should conform ok. if it shows 720p50 at 50fps then it wont (i dont know why though sorry..)

If you are looking at the front page of the App Store and you are seeing the "downloading" message on the right under Quick Links.
Try this... Go into the "Purchases" section in the top bar of the App Store find ML in the list you are presented with. Does it say Resume? If so click the button and it will change to Pause. You may have paused it previously and forgot.
If not then do as Csound1 suggested and simply wait for it to finish

Recently i am trying to work on new ides system (APO), when i try to open a exisiting planning book , the data entry matrix is grey out
May i know whats the reason , do i need to activate any key configuration i cannot able to enter any values in the matrix

Hello Raju,
These are the steps to be able to enter data into KF.
1) Load a selection from the left side.
2) Once you have made the selection for which you want to enter data, click the "Pencil" icon on the left side top corner.
3) This will make the page white and let you enter data into the planning books.
4) Incase if you still see them to be greyed out, click the "Design" button on the right side.
5) Select the KF which you want to edit.
6) Right click the KF --> Selected Rows --> Input/Output.
7) This should make it editable, you can now click the "Live" button, save the changes and then repeat steps 1 thru 3.

Hi,
Stroke styles are disabled in HTML5 Canvas document type as the target platform doesn't support those. Please check your document tab if it reads '<yourfilename> (Canvas)' then you have created a HTML5 Canvas document.
If you have created HTML5 document by mistake, then you can copy paste your layers into AS3 document then you can change the stroke style to your desired option.

Ok i think i have found out how to do it. Unplug your i phone, go to settings and then reset then reset all data and settings. This will warn you that it is going to erase eveything on your phone.
DO NOT BACK UP BEFORE HAND
then restart your phone and restore back up from when you donwloaded the new IOS5. This should sort out your problem :-)

For me this happened on the 25th of September.
Before lunch I updated a few apps, when I tried in the afternoon I had to answer some security question. And no matter what I got The session timeout message.
I use the new iPad and I have IOS6.

i had the same issue as everyone here after upgrading to itunes 10.x. vista could see xp home share. ipod touch could see xp home share.
neither could see vista home share.
after several hours of authorizing de-authorizing, rebooting router etc, i knew it had to be a firewall thingy with vista as xp was working fine
i went to this article http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2553 and followed the instructions. itunes was already in my vista exception list. on a hunch i deleted the itunes exception and followed the steps to add it again and boom it worked!! i could now see my vista machine from my ipod touch immediately.
something must have screwed up the firewall exception on the upgrade to itunes 10.x
it worked for me, i hope this helps others

Photoshop filters greyed out in CMYK mode

Why filters in Photoshop CC work only in RGB mode/8-bit. In CMYK they are greyed out?
there is a trick which is to apply filters to individual channels, but why is it has to be that painful?
im working on Windows 7 64-bit, Adobe CC.

Not all filters and functions work in all colour modes and bit depths, that is just the way things work. You can always convert from CMYK to RGB, apply your filters and then convert back to CMYK. But of course that is not an optimal way to go in regards to maintaining as much detail information as possible in your images. It's always best to stick with RGB for as long as possible and do the conversion just before print.

Cannot export (greyed out), cannot select clips in project editor

So I just worked on a new project for a couple hours, and just when I'm ready to export, I can't!! ALL of the selections on the Share menu are greyed out. Also, for some reason I suddenly can't select ANY clips in the project!! When I click on a selection, nothing happens (just the cursor follows the mouse, as it should). When I double-click a selection, the inspector window appears and tells me there's no clip selected. When I click on the gear wheel of a selection, it tells me the same thing.
When I exit this particular project and open another one I've worked on, everything is fine. What gives???? I am getting SUPER agitated.

Oh, also I'm finding that when I click the Play Project Full Screen button, it just goes to a blank full screen and nothing plays. And ESC doesn't bring me back to the project...I'm eternally stuck unless I hold down Command + Tab/Q to quite the application. Nice!!

PS filters greyed out when sending from lr

When I send an LR photo for editing in PS CC, some of the filters are greyed out: artistic, brush strokes, distort, pixelate, sketch, and texture. but when I open the photo directly in PS, they are there. What's going on?

Are any of these from a plug-in or via Adobe Marketplace? I just opened an unedited DNG via Lightroom 5.3. My PS CC install is pretty clean, only plug-ins are the OnOne Suite, ver 8. Anyway...... I am missing almost every filter you have listed above. The ones I do have, Distort & Pixelate, both seem to be fine. That is what makes me wonder if there is something else in the mix here.....? Can you provide a bit more information regarding any plug-ins you may be using in either PS or LR as well as any 3rd party filters you may have added (or carried over from conversion)? TS1559 still no solution for greyed out wifi and bluetooth - what to do? been messing around with it for weeks and now discover I'm just outside of warranty period? WHAT?

I am in such a predicament - phone not been quite right since the 6.1 update and I was tolerating the inconvenience of switching off and on etc etc for the past couple of months and now the wifi and bluetooth are totally greyed out all the time - did every restore possible including back to factory settings - still no luck - please don't tell me that trying all the solutions over the past 2 months that temporarily worked for a few days at a time will now mean I have timed myself out of the 1 year warranty? arghhhhh (I can't believe that such an issue will create the response 'oh well, your problem - best just buy another one' ???)

I see theres an update for the iphone 5 that fixes wifi bugs - what about us 4s owners? even my 3 year old 3gs is still working on wifi (haven't dared to update it!) so don't start telling me to expect that the iphone will only last 13 months - NOT AT $600 a piece

well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!!

Select option greyed out for fields of custom DataSource (rso2, rsa6)

Why are several fields, in my custom DataSource (created in rso2) not available for select?
I do not think this is a permission issue, since several fields are selectable, but not all fields.
It is not the data type, since I see other custom DataSources that have the same data type, and it is selectable as a select option.
This is not a DataSource that was provided by SAP, it is completely custom, and uses a custom data definition (defined as a structure via se11), and a custom function.
I have read the responses to similar questions, but have not found an answer that explains how to make the field selectable for select.
What determines which fields can be selected for selection, and which fields have this option greyed out (not selectable)?
I have come across multiple answers, for similar questions, that suggest an abap program to directly update table roosfield.
Is this safe?
IF I choose this route will I need to run the update program on production, or will the change it makes to my dataSource transport with my transport?
(I can test this).
What I most need to know is If this suggestion is safe, or if it has side effects?
