PS CS6: Not seeing transform selection default as I used to

I've been using PS CS6 (Creative Cloud) on a Windows 7 workstation and have liked the feature that shows transform box when a layer or layers is selected. On my new Windows 8 workstation I'm getting PS CS6 x64 configured with my preferences. I'm not seeing the selection box unless I manually invoke "transform" (ctrl+t) on my selection. I haven't found a setting that enables the transform view by default and I'm hoping someone here can steer me to a setting.

Activate Move Tool (V).
In the Options bar, enable "Show Transform Controls".

Thanks to all who responded. You are all absolutely correct. However, this Ipad was a gift to my wife who was dying of cancer in the hospital and wanted some entertainment. So I started it out with her Apple ID. After she passed away I moved from Sacramento to Austin and eventually proceeded to get the Apple ID changed from my wife's to mine. Meanwhile when she was in the hospital I opened an Itunes account in my name to buy movies for her. That was the first mistake.
Then during the move to Austin I lost track of the IPAD and later found it and tried to use support but could not remember the proper ID. Later the folks at the Apple store helped me create a new and novel Apple ID that was unfortunately unlike any other.
The botom line is that I am stuck with three Apple IDs and three passwords. I am told by Apple there is nothing they can do about this as IDs cannot be changed or destroyed. I can quit using them or start a new account but when I try to do that the system keeps remembering too many things from the past and resists.
Even if I sold this Ipad and bought a new one, the system memory is still there.
I think the real problem is that destop and laptop computers are totally owned by an individual and that individual can control logins and passwords to his liking. IPADs and similar Apple products are different in that the corporation has built in their own intrusion detection schemes because of the relation to Itunes.
One thing I thought about is to open a new Itunes account pretendding to be a new customer with my regular Apple ID. Perhaps I could do the same with Apple Support.

OpenSQL DataSource not allowed if select-for-update is used Error?

I have created an enterprise application, EJB (Session + entity) + WAR, and corresponding ear file deployes with the following warning message, I have done similar apps in the past without erros.
Warning: DataSource TMP_EMPLOYEES_DATA is OpenSQL. It is used by an abstract schema that uses select-for-update locking. It is now allwed to use OpenSQL DataSource if select-for-updaet is used.

while I do not propose an alternative solution, I'd like to add some explanation to the error message itself: Open SQL for Java strives to provide portable semantics across the set of supported databases and does not offer features which can not be provided by all the databases.
Now, a SELECT .. FOR UPDATE in the semantics as used here is not generally available, in particular not regarding the locking semantics.
Thus, the feature is rejected in combination with a Open SQL/JDBC data source.

CS6 not seeing entire font list

The machine is an older mac running OSX 10.6.8.
Both Illustrator CS5 and CS6 are installed (have been for years).
This morning, CS6 sees only the top half of the font list. Everything below is blank. It scrolls as if other entries are there, but the screen is blank and there is nothing to select.
CS5 still sees the entire font list.
I have:
Closed and reopened the program (no change).
Run Font Nuke to clean the cache files.
Rebooted (several times -- still no change).
My question;
Short of uninstall > run cleaner tool > reinstall, is there anything else to try?

Here is the long list (apologizing for my posting it again, I believe you know it).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

TS3989 I do not see any photos copied to iPad using iPad camera connection kit before PhotoS Stream and iCloud were enabled.

I had no problem importing photos to my iPad using the iPad camera connection kit, but now that they are there, I can not get them back off of my iPad. I have set up an iCloud account and enabled Photo Stream on my iPad, downloaded and installed the iCLoud control pannel for Windows, enabled Photo Stream there, and set the download and upload folders. In my "Photos" on iPad I curently have 3 albums: Camera Roll, All Imported, and a sigle folder with some of the photos included in the "All Imported" folder. If I select Photo Stream, there are no photos present, and the note at the bottom explains that it uploads and stores the last 30 days of photos on iCloud and downloads them to all my devides... except.. I just enabled iCloud, and the pix were imported 6 months ago. I really see no logical way of getting them back off this device. Can anyone help highlight what I have overlooked? Thanks. -njw

Not seeing all DB tables in Crystal using ODBC connection

I have an ODBC connection to an oracle database. I can connect to the database and see all the tables through tools such as TOAD, SQL developer, SQLPlus, etc. However, in Crystal, i only see schema tables and not the tables I want. I am using the same connection, username, and password. If I run a report that was created in a different environment to the correct tables, I receive the error: ORA00942: table or view does not exist.
Oracle 10g
Crystal 12.0.0.683
Any suggestions?

Hi Diana,
Go to File | Options and open the Database tab.
Make sure Tables and Views are checked. You may want to include Stored Procedures too.
Save the changes and restart Crystal.
You should see your tables now. If you have more than 200 objects in your database, you may need to use the Table Name Like option to filter out some of the tables.

IOS does not see Wi-Fi, while Android can use it. Before I changed settings it was opposite.

Hello, I have used my router to share internet with my iPad and iPhone for 6 month. Now I got an Android device, and firstly it could not even see the Wi0Fi connection, then I went to Network settings on my windows 7 and set the network up via "Properties" of the connection : allowing share network and checked a few tickes in "Settings" section of "Wi-Fi properties". After that Android uses Wi-Fi perfectly, but iOS does not even see it? Can I make them both work? And if not, I wanna use Wi-Fi on my iPad, rather than Android. How can I revert it?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Time Machine does not see my external HD

I would like to setup TM but it does not see my external HD, but I can see it on desktop in and finder. I can browse it. But time machine does not see it and forces me to use airport time capsule but I don't have it. Help please.

What format is the external drive in?
If it's formatted for Windows (either using the MBR partition table or using FAT/NTFS volumes) then Time Machine cannot back up to this disk.
The disk needs to be formatted as Mac OS X Extended using either the APM or GPT partition tables.
Life is complicated somewhat by the fact that the OS, in general, can read MBR/FAT drives, but they're not suitable for Time Machine (limitations in the disk formats prevent some of Time Machine's features from working).
You can check the current partition map/disk format in Disk Utility.app - just select the disk on the left and the information will be displayed below. If the disk is using MBR and/or FAT then you'd need to reformat the drive in order to use it with Time Machine.

ITunes does not "see" photo

Hi:
In trying to import photo(s)to the phone, iTunes consistantly ignores/does not see one of the photos. Using Photoshop or a file folder on a WinXP PC, iTunes recognizes all the photos except this one. The photo in question is display-able/copy-able, and both PS and the file manager see it, display it -- and can manipulate it. Have tried to edit it in PS to determine if there is some problem, but it saves it as a jpeg with no problems, etc. The file is a 64 KB image. It will not load either from a folder or from a PS album, while all the other 24 load fine... Is there some "secret" metadata that might prevent iTunes from loading a file?

OK, looks like I am making progress. The suggestion to change the one file to .tiff worked! The photo did load to the phone and iTunes counted it in the total (25).
But deleting the cache (?) created another issue...
In iTunes once I deleted the cache, then disconnected the phone, then re-connected it, iTunes then indicated no info about the number of photos in the folder. Then when I selected to sync, iTunes reported "currently sync'ed to another library... ...do you want..." (or something like that...). I selected to go ahead and sync. Now there is a rundundant "Photo Library" on the phone with all the same photos in it. How do I remove it/prevent this from happening again?

Can not see Stored Procedures owned by "Code Owner"

I am using Data Source defined with "CR Oracle ODBC Driver 5.0" in "Data Source (ODBC)".
But in Crystal Report XI, I can not see CodeOwner when I can created a new connection using ODBC (RDO).
I can see CodeOwner and all SP defined under it when I use "Oracle Server" directly or use sqlplus.

I'm using Window XP with Oracle 10g2R
To be more clear,
I have an ODBC Data Source defined as "DEV" and when I created a connection using ODBC, I can only see some database account section like: APP, APPREF, PUBLIC, SYS, SUSTEM. But I can not see CodeOwner.
If I connected without using ODBC, I can also see CODEOWNER and then all its stored procedures.
So why I can not see Stored Procedures defined under CODEOWNER using ODBC?
I have an exsiting report, even I can not see CODEOWNER, but I have no problem to run and preview the report also to "verify database".

In my Itunes account, I can not see my list of songs in my files, nor can I look for individual songs in the Itunes store. Basically, anywhere there are list, I can not see them. What can I do to fix this problem?

I am having trouble with my Itunes account on Windows XP . I can not see any list in my music files. The songs are there but I have to click on each song to see what it is. Also, in the itunes store, I can not see any pull down list or use my search bar. This happened when Itunes updated it's look. I can pull it up on my phone and see all of my purchased music. Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

If this is with only one Order, check goods movements actually done or not?
If this problem is with other Orders as well (same Order Type), then with the T.Code; OPL8.
In the 2nd Tab Page (Implemenation) - Whether the Check boxes are filled for Documented Goods Movements??

Saving music directly to your phone is a great and easy way to have access to your music on the go. jimpick, there may be a few reasons why your phone and computer are not seeing each other. Are you using the original USB cable that came with your phone? If not, that cable may not support data transfers.
When you connect your phone and computer together, does your computer recognize that something has been plugged in to the USB port? It should attempt to install drivers/software. From your phone, please sweep your finger downward (from the status bar at the top of the screen) to display your Notifications. You should see a connection alert with the option to choose Media Device. This way your computer knows to treat your phone as a removeable hard drive.
A window should populate, providing the option to open this storage device. From there you should be able to save your music in the Music folder. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you, jimpick.

CS6 does not see my GPU. It did and now not.

Hi CS6 stopped seeing my GPU. I noticed the problem when trying to do one of Deke's 3D tutes on on lynda.com. So I was able to do most things till I tried 3D. In cs5.1 can see it and allows my to activate it. I recently uninstalled CS5.1. I reinstalled it to see if that would help and it runs extremely slow now and often spins the pinwheel at any little thing.
This is what I see now. See how the GPU is greyed out?
I reinstalled CS5.1 to check what up and checked the prerences there and the GPU is availible and defaulted to my previous settings. These are the CS5.1 settings. See how the GPU is not greyed out.
CS5.1 runs even slower than before though. I have ungraded from an old white mac book to a new mac book pro and beefed up the RAM and now have the following specs to work with
If it helps.. I am now also running into an error message that bridge can no read the cashe, too.

PS6 does not crash perse. It will report as a crash after I have com/Q somethimes, even without open docs but that is another bug. This one has to do with the GPU becoming greyed out in preferences and unavalable after having been available. This problem is intermitent. It seems it is not a problem anyone else is reporting.

The GPU greyout is either all in or all out. I can do 3D just fine when it's operable. The screen shots above was for the CS5.1 comparason, showing it enabled and active.

I have no problem with 3D or the timeline video funtions when the GPU is enabled. No system log errors that I can recognize. Perhaps you could direct me to where and for what to look for there? I have the NVIDIA GeForce 320M which is standard and should be more than adequate.

Can not see records after was given select on table

I have a database 10gV2 and I 'grant select on table1 to user1'. When user1 logged on, he can not see any data from table1. He can desc table1 but when doing a select count(*) from user99.table1 , a zero record returned. Or select * from user99.table1, nothing is returned, no records. Why?

possibly there is a vpd policy on the table which applies a where predicate allowing the user only to see rows relevent to his session.
or rows inserted are not committed therefore only visible in the session where transaction is active.
