PS CS6 - text and font changes by clicking on it - not reversible

Sometimes I open a file with layers in PS and click on a text layer, to move or change it,
and immediately the text and font changes into another text/font from the document.
Can not save the file then the problem stays forever. I can´t touch/change any text layer
without this problem. Happens on every ca. 10th - 20th file I open...
Please help me, how can this be fixed?

There was a bug in 13.0.0 that could corrupt text layers that way.
It was fixed in 13.0.1, but documents saved with 13.0.0 could already be corrupted and there is no way to fix them automatically.

Are you behind a firewall or double NAT??
What is the device that is immediately plugged into the main modem or router? Has that one been able to update?
It is plugged in of course isn't it.. no nasty join wireless anywhere??
The best way to work around these sort of problems is to simplify the network.. Plug each device directly into the main router.. by ethernet. You can trigger the firmware upgrade by wireless but use ipad or iphone version of airport utility and see what happens.

Dynamic Text and color changes......

In some cheap website creating software I have you can turn
text into rich text and change the color of individual words inside
the same text box full of text. Is there anyway to do that in flash
CS3?

Thanks clbeech I actually found an easy way to do it. For
your dynamic text box you can click the "html" box in the
properties window for that text box. (Its a little square box with
this <> inside it and its just to the right of the singleline
and multiline box drop down.) You can then select the text you want
to edit inside the text box and change its font/size/color as well
as turn it into a dynamic link and it will do so without affecting
the rest of the text in your text box.

Printing only Text and Subtotals lines in A/R Invoice not Regular lines

How can I create in PLD for A/R invoice that only prints the Text and Subtotals lines in A/R Invoice but not the regular lines the A/R Invoice ?

->> Choose the Print Layout Design(PLD) on Top of the Menu Bar.
->> Open the A/R Invoice(System) PLD and Save as the New PLD.
->> Open the New PLD.

->> Create the Database field in Repetetive Area.
for example,
Row Line Total Field:
Table -> INV1 - A/R Invoice(Item).
Column -> LineTotal.
->> Choose the TEXT field(make) on Top of the Menu Bar.
->> Create the TEXT field in Repetetive Area Footer or End of Report.

NoLogging mode and System Change Number? generated or not in nologging

My database is running in NOLOGGING mode ie we are switching off logging during some migration activity so that temporary records processed (when migration activity is going on) and commit issues during this time are not logged in to log files and CDC on EDB does not picks them up for movement to Datawarehouse
I wanted to know if my DB is in NOLOGGING mode then also SCN's numbers are still generated by Oracle when checkpoint occurs and Commit is issues in DB.
We are playing with SCN's during migration so just wanted to confirm if they are still generated when DB is in NOLOGGING mode.

Thanks for your timeThis is so wrong. Commit and Checkpoint are two different mechanisms. When you commit, the commit SCN is associated with your transaction and its change vectors are pushed to the redo log file. Checkpoint may or not happen at the same time with Commit and its happening won't impact at all for the generation of SCN.

CS6 static text field fonts change size on export to iOS

I've resolved my previous isue with opening my CS5.5 project in CS6 ... but now when I package the project for iOS, all of my text is slightly larger nad offset compared to what Isee in Flash Pro CS6. I'm using Classic Text - Static Bitmap (no anti aliasing).
Are their new features with regard to Fonts that I should be aware of?
Any ideas?

When asked if I could share the information, he replied:
The permission didn't come with any restrictions, so I guess it's okay to
spread around.
Anyway, the critical part of the code snippet that's missing is what to do in the "mouse_over handler" function. What I did for all of my links was to call a common function that would launch an async task that would change the color of the link, then change it back after a period of time.
I passed "self" (the static_text being hovered over) to my common routine so it could keep track of the active link, and reset the previous link when the user hovers somewhere new.

Arabic Text and Fonts sucks on 10.3

Hello Everyone;
I'm not sure if someone can assit us with this, but Arabic fonts on 10.3 are so bad. It used to be perfect with the old version 10.2 and 10.2.1. The text fronts looks like the old Android fronts. Is there a way to change it on 10.3 to look and feel like the old 10.2?

Search for text and font

I have an 800 page pdf document to index and so far I have a script that will search for a list of keywords. But the text has large sections of code in a different font, and I think we would like to generate an index of just code examples. Is there a way to search for text of a given font in applescript? Something like

You asked about the script formatter. red_menace of this forum wrote the script I use. To use it, you copy the script that you want to format to the clipboard and run the formatter. This then places the marked-up text in the clipboard so that you can paste it into the forum page.

Completely frustrated with wysiwyg and font changes in published page

H, Everyone--
Can anyone help me? When I work in editing mode, I have
selected font (and link) sizes and colors in the format - page
properties menu. They are arial font, size 10, white. But when the
page is published, the text is in a different font, and the links
are blue.
There is something overriding my choices, and I can't find
what it is. I wonder if the previous web designer in our office set
up something for the site.
Advice greatly appreciated! I can't seem to find the answer
to this question.

That field is the font style field, not a "Paragraph" field. It just happens to be next to the button that changes the control panel to paragraph mode.
Is the file you posted the same one you made the jpeg from, or the one where you changed that field to "regular"? I'm thinking the latter, because the paragraph shows regular when I highlight it. Also, I don't think the font in the jpeg has changed, just it is printing gibberish on that last line.
Try this: File > Export and for type choose Interchange format (.inx). Open that file in InDesign and save again as an InDesign document. See if that prints.
If not, I'd say it's almost certainly the driver.

Printing html text and font styles

Hello,
when I try to print html text in serif with italic or bold text style the output on a printer incorrectly shows the bold and italic parts in arial or something. Underlined text is printed correctly.
The font is rendered correctly on a JEditorPane.
There were some issues with html rendering in java (e.g. Bug IDs 4331766, 4160605, 1235430, 4141537) but as these bugs are closed/fixed in earlier jdk versions, and i found no hint that anyone else has experienced such problems, i may be doing something wrong?

You don't have a whole lot of print options with Reports.. you can get what you need to some extent using the
PRINT-CONTROL option on the REPORT statement. Please check theSAP Help for additional info.

Indesign CS6 text drop shadow changes background colour

I have two layers, one for a background image linked to a photoshop document and another layer for text. When i add drop shadow to the text, the background colour goes sort of dark, and the same happens in overprint view whereas with 5.5 it didn't do that. Is there a way to fix this?

Looks like maybe an RGB image with a CMYK transparency blend space applied.

Some text and fonts are "outlined" or "inlined", making it difficult to read.

Some websites have fonts that appear "outlined" or filled with a different colour, making it nearly impossible to read. I have a screen capture of Firefox versus Safari to show you the difference, but there is no way to send it to you on this form. Contact me by email and I will send it to you...

When trying to edit text and fonts in Acrobat Pro 11 I keep getting a message saying acrobat has encountered an unknown error?

I have just downloaded Acrobat Pro V 11.0.0 and tried to edit an existing PDF file. When I try to do this I receive a message that Acrobat has encountered an unknown error - what am I doing wrong?.

Are you using Acrobat on Mac OS or Windows (and what version?). You say you have version 11.0.0, but the current version is 11.0.10, so please choose Help > Check for Updates and install any available updates for starters.
Does the error occur regardless of the PDF that you try to edit? If the problem is widespread, I would recommend a repair/reinstall of Acrobat (if installing the updates doesn't help). If the problem occurs with just the one document, that PDF could be damaged.
