PS documents prints on one laser printer but not on another

I have had to replace a Laser printer with a new one due to hardware failure. Old printer was able to print fonts etc. New printer is not printing the fonts. All that seems to print out is the font and spacing information.
Apart from the printer change nothing else is different.
Was using HP LJ4000 now using HP LJP2015N
Any ideas?

Please check which ppd file have you used to configure the new printer.
You can use the recommended ppd file to configure your printer(HP LJ 2015). You can download the post script ppd from :

Apps in One Acct Work, but not in another

Hi all... not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it's a start.
I'm trying to use a Plugin for Photoshop CS2, called Sitegrinder (it's a demo version). Everytime I try to use it in my main account (which, until today, was the only account on my Mac), it immediately crashes Photoshop. The company's tech support suggested trying the same thing, only under a new account name. So I created a new account on my Mac, and the Plugin works perfectly. Of course, this is very inconvenient, trying to flip back and forth between accounts, to use this software.
Any idea why it works under one account but not the other? Obviously there's a conflict in there somewhere, but I have no idea where to start looking.
Would appreciate any help you can give! Thanks!

Well, I spent the good part of a day creating a new account, and copying all the necessary files to that account. It was good solution, things were working perfectly in the new account (I checked the plugin in Photoshop a dozen times, as I was copying files) up until something (Font? Preference file? Who knows?) got copied that wasn't supposed to... and now I'm back exactly where I was 6 hours ago... The plugin won't work on my previous account, or the new one I've created... but, of course, if I create another new one (which I did, to test it)... it works fine.
So obviously there's something that's conflicting... but I have no idea what I copied that made it go from "works like a charm" to "here we go again"... Meantime, I'm pulling my hair out!!!!

SetText() works for one text area but not for another

I am student new to java so forgive me if I'm making an obvious mistake. I have a GUI with 3 tabs. Two tabs have a text area in each in them and an action listener tells the textarea what to print. The problem is one text area works and the other doesn't. they are declared in the same way so I can't see why the problem occurs.

If you have copied and pasted code for the second one, it is possible that you are setting text for the first text area at both the places. Check if you are calling the setText method on both the text areas and not the same one twice.

IChat works in one user account but not in another

my computer phobic parents just bought a new 27" iMac and I've been using iChat's screen sharing with him to help my dad with the computer, we've already set up a separate user account on the machine for my mom we can't get iChat to work under her user account.
The apple rep had trouble using her Gmail account so he set up an AIM account but still no luck
I have her in iChat under my dad's user account and can do video chats and screen sharing with her, no problem.
But regardless of whether or not we leave her jabber account logged in under my dad's user account, we can't get iChat to accept her account info when she is loged into her own user account.
(P.S. parental controls for her account aren't activated neither is admin privileges)

Make her account an Admin Account.
A Managed Account and Parental Controls tend to be somewhat linked and a sliding scale of things.
If there is no reason to Manage her account there is no reason why she cannot also be an Admin account.
She should also Check iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Security and see who is in the Blocked or Allowed Lists and see if you are in the wrong one.

WebDAV working with one page grop but not with another

Hi,
I have a problem - untill last week WebDAV worked ok (more or less).
now, it works with Shared page group and with a recently added pg, however it does not work anymore with the main page group.
Ay ideas?

what I meant was that initially the main page group would be displayed in a window, but after I try to access (or after a simple refresh) it would dissapear. No problems withh Shared and a new page group though.
BTW, more or less means that a colleague had a problems transfering large amount of data via WebDAV. It left a huge transfer overnight and after taht he porblems started. First, the WebDAV worked occasionaly and then completely died for that particular page group.
I am puzzled here why it works for some and not for the others.
BTW, when I try to map a network drive for http://server/dav_portal/portal/ at different computer now, it would come up wih an error saying "the network path ... could not be found". The path does work when copied into the browser's address bar (however the main page group still unaccessable).

Quit your browsers.
Open the Finder.
From the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Typs this exactly as you see it here: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) to the Trash.
Relaunch either Firefox or Safarai and try downloading a PDF document.

Hi , and I see you are both having trouble scanning after upgrading to Windows 10, and I may be able to help. Most products do have updated software available on HP's support website for Windows 10. I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too. HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive. Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? In Photoshop Elements 12 I can print but not scan..error message "Cannot find Wia compliant device". It can find the device or else it wouldn't print. How do I get it to scan??

I have tried everything to get the program to see my printer. By reinstalling divice drivers for printer to reinstalling program several times. Still I can print from my printer but not scan. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the update.
If you can scan with the HP software then at least we know the system can see the scanner.
Can you try the organizer to see if that works any differently. Once you load the organizer, go to the Edit menu and select Preferences -> Scanner - see if that sees it.
Since you are on Elements 12, you still have the twain option available to try. See the following document which describes moving the twain driver.

F-58 Error. vendor name printed but not Alternative payee

_Vendor name printed but not the name i entered in Individual set_
I followed Thread vendor name changed at the time of taking cheque printing
I made the below Transaction
1. I made the changes in vendor master under the head Payment transaction tab, in Alternative payer in document i selected check box of Individual entries
2. Posted in FB60 vendor invoice under payment tab check box Individual payee is selected, i entered alternative name so that check is printed in this name
3.In payment F-58 post & print i selected open item for payment after simulation i saved .The check is printed as per the
Name in Vendor master data but not the name i entered in Individ.setin fb60
I am not able to make to make payment, guide me

I entered the bank details in the individual payee while entering FB60, the name coming in indiviid .set
In F-58 I made simulation Pk 50 QNB -Checks Payable & PK 25 vendor name, when i double click on the 2nd line item i found the name what mentioned in the Individ.set
I saved the transaction but the check was printed in the name of vendor master but not in the name i entered in indiviid set
Help me out to get the check printed in the individ set

Clean your printerhesd 4-5 times until the black fully restores. I am on my third complete cleaning and have gone from 0% black to approx. 60-70%. So, it works just takes time.

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.

Could just be a loose connection or that the cable itself is going bad. There are a number of factors that could play into this scenario.
