PS Elements 13: 64-Bit Version can use 16MB RAM?

Hi,
i want to know, if the new Photoshop Elements 13 is a 64Bit Version and can use my 64-Bit System Mac Yosemite? Important for me is, that the version can use all my RAM (16GB) to create big panoramas. My version 11 cannot create big panoramas, because it cannot use more than 3GB RAM.
I'm sorry for my bad English :-)
Thank you!
Andrea

In theory pse 13 could use all 16 gb of ram, but in practice it can't because your operating system/other applications need some ram to function.
Set the ram usage in pse 13 between 70 to 80% and that should give pse 13 more than enough ram.

I do not see mention of 32/64 on the download page... maybe the download contains both?

  • Download Elements 11 32 bit version on 64 bit laptop

I am trying to download a previously bought online version of Elements on my laptop. When I try to run the version it will now work as it is a 32 bit version and I have a 64 bit version. The prompt was to download the Premier version which is a 64 bit, this i did but it would not accept the serial number as it is not for this version. Have asked online help but they have said they do not support older versions of this product. Any ideas?

Photoshop elements 11 is for editing still photos/documents and is only a 32 bit program on windows and mac, regardless of the windows/mac operating system being 32 or 64 bits.
Premiere Photoshop Elements, a video editing program, which can be either 32 or 64 bit, uses a different serial number than photoshop elements 11.

  • When will FF be available in a true 64-bit version for use with Win 7 Pro 64-bit?

Using Win 7 Pro 64-bit, when will FF 64-bit version be available?

Someday. This is a question asked multiple times but the answer is always the same, there is no real benefit to moving to 64 bit Firefox, and the amount of work required to do something with no benefit makes this a low priority. Eventually it will happen, but just because it uses 64bit doesn't magically make things better.

  • I downloaded the 32 bit version when I needed the 64 bit version can you help me out?

    hey guys need some help!
IIve downloaded the 32 bit version when i needed to download the 64 bit version

    Hi Adrians,
I would suggest you to re-install the product, if you have a 64-bit operating system it will download both 64-bit software and 32-bit software.
Let us know for further query.

  • Installation Photoshop Elements 13 Upgr. 32-Bit-Version on Desktop running Win 8.1 64-Bit

I try to upgrade my Photoshop Elements 12 Version to Version 13. Version 12 (32 Bit) is running on PC with Win 8.1 64 Bit. Upgade to Version 13 (32 Bit) is not possible (error: 32 Bit version can not installed with Win 64 Bit system). If I try to install 64 Bit Version of Photoshop 13, I get the information, that there is no original version found on PC.
    What can I do?
    HaPe

As far as the "no original version" goes, you should also be able to select an option to enter the name and serial number of the older (aka original) version instead of having it already installed.

  • Can you email a link to me, where I can download the 64-bit version of firefox for my windows 7 64 bit laptop?

    hello
I have windows 7 home premium 64-bit operating system.
i would like to download and install firefox 64-bit version.
can you email me a link where I can download the 64 bit firefox?

Link to 64 bit of Nightly http://nightly.mozilla.org/
edit: Fixed linked it was linking to the tinderbox hourly builds (multiple builds a day) which can be much more unstable if the build did not build properly (due to checkins and trying stuff) and yet may still be green and uploaded. Use the /firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ not tinderbox if you must.
Also note the unstable Nightly builds get updates each day (sometimes a respin even) and are not meant for regular Firefox users in mind but devs and testers who at very least understand the basics of separate installs and separate Profiles for each.

  • New Laptop need 64 bit version but originally bought the 32 bit version.

I just got a new laptop, a 64 bit version of Windows 7.  However, my download of Lightroom was the 32 bit version.  Does anyone know if I can I get the 64 bit version and use it on my new computer without having to pay more?
Thanks for any advice I can get.

Just download it from the Lightroom website (the demo version is the full version) and select the right version. Just enter your serial number and you will be good to go.

  • Waterfox claims to be a 64 bit version of Firefox. Is it? Is it safe?

I noticed IE provides a 64 bit version. In looking for a FF 64 bit version I found Waterfox. It claims it is a 64 bit version of FF. Is it? Is it safe? Are there plans for a 64 bit version of FF?

I have used Waterfox under Windows 7 for about the past 4 months with no problems. I have not detected any virus or malware of any kind. I believe it is a good-faith project that does what it says, nothing more.
The speed seems to be somewhat better. One of the main advantages is that if I have a few hundred tabs open (which I do more often than you'd imagine), the 64-bit browser can allocate the RAM, whereas the 32-bit browser can not. In this condition, the 64-bit build suffers much less system slowdown (for a while), but eventually both will begin to bog down the system when a few dozen tabs are open and the browser is left running for a month or more. Occasional app restarts are still necessary due to severe memory leaks (regardless of build).
I notice absolutely no problems with any of my addons or plugins, which probably represents everything the average user could ever want.
There's little or no excuse to spread fear, uncertainty or doubt about using 64-bit Firefox, either compatibility or performance wise. If your plugins or addons are not listed, try it and see. They may work, have bugs, or not work, only one way to find out if it's right for you.
If you want to see performance differences objectively, without any political bias, do your own tests, with a stop watch, or with software profilers that can give microsecond or nanosecond accuracy of the time it takes to perform certain functions like page renders. I would assume differences of about 5% or less would be fairly negligible.
    Plugins:
    Adobe Flash (64-bit),
    Adobe Shockwave Flash (64-bit),

    Addons:
    AdBlock Plus,
    Add-on Compatibility Reporter,
    CookieEx Filter,
    Download Helper,
eQuake Alert (menu bug, always transparent, happens in 32-bit Firefox also),

There is a problem with "HP Smart Web Printing" addon, where by default it appears to be disabled with no option to enable it. It's a somewhat useless addon that is installed with the print driver without a choice. I can print just fine without the addon, even without the HP driver, as Windows 7 has a driver for my printer. But the HP driver does give a few extra controls at the OS level.
Edit 1: Lists of items, one per line, were collapsed to a paragraph, so I added commas.

  • Jave 32 Bit or 64 bit version

Please be patient with my posting as I am going to ask questions that may sound stupid but since I don't know much about Java technology, it would help me understand some things.
    1) Does Java has a 32 bit and 64 bit versions or Java can be installed on 32 or 64 bit server platforms?
    2) Trying to figure out what version I have installed. If I go to command prompt and type "java -version", i get the following:
    java version "1.3.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_01, mixed mode)
If I go to Control panel, and click on Java and "About", i see the following:
    Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
If i go to System properties, and go to "Environment Variables" and look under system variables, i see that Java is installed in the following directory:
    Java Name: JAVA_HOME
    Variable Value: D:\j2sdk1.4.2_07
So as you can see that I am looking at different versions (builds) and not really sure which one is actually installed on the server. Any help in regard would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Feddie

    1) Does Java has a 32 bit and 64 bit versions or Java can be installed on 32 or 64 bit server platforms? This is not an "or" issue. Java does have both a 32 and 64 bit version. If you OS is 64 bit, you can use the 64 bit version. If your OS supports 32 bit emulation, you can also use 32 bit.
The 64 bit version currently does not have a plugin or hotspot compiler.
I don't know what a "server platform" is, but I have both on my computer.
    2) Trying to figure out what version I have installed. If I go to command prompt and type "java -version", i get the following:You definately have 1.3.1_01 because it runs and tells you its version.
You definately have 1.5.0_04-b05 because it runs and tells you its version.
You may have j2sdk1.4.2_07 - why not look in the location to make sure?
So as you can see that I am looking at different versions (builds) and not really sure which one is actually installed on the serverSure, I currently have about 10 different VMs installed. The key is understanding how to use them - i.e. understanding your OS.

  • Can I use the ram...

    Hi,
I was wondering if I can use the ram from a Macbook core 2 duo in a Macbook Pro.
    Is it the same?
    Thanks

Yes. Currently, all Intel Macs except for the Mac Pro and the Xserve use the same type of RAM.

  • How to increase RAM & Hard Disk a form at run time can use?

Question: How to increase RAM & Hard Disk a form at run time can use?
    Explanation:
I have a problem with a form at run-time. I guess this is due to shortage of RAM/Hard Disk. I want to increase these things so that the form can use more RAM/Hard Disk and it does not crash/cancel. The reason is that when I change/toggle TOOL --> Preferences --> Runtime, Buffer Records and Array Processing parameters, the problem is rectifies intermittantly. That is there is no fix combination of above-mentioned parameters to rectify the problem. After lot of attempts, it gets resolved but only temporarily. Next time I have to modify the form, I get the same problem.
    Please help.

I am still waiting for an answer to the above question.
May be Oracle Corp. or anyabody, please guide.

  • How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?

How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?  The advertising refers to Print Studio Pro 2 but all I find available to download is version 1.35.

Thanks - I did notice that the 2 was a superscript on one site but on another (I think the one for the Pro-10 printer) it was definitely a 2 in line with the rest of the text and separated by a space (at least on my browser).  At any rate, I suspected something of the kind and will simply use Photoshop Elements 11 when I want a pattern print until the change is made.
If you have an inside line to Canon you might also suggest some changes to their Image Garden program, specifically its handling of DVD label projects.  It has several themes and within each theme several layouts.  As far as they go these are fine but they do not give nearly enough flexibility.   The boxes for insertion of images are useful as is the simple procedure for rescaling the image so it is cropped in varying ways while staying within the fixed box.  However, it should be possible (a) to relocate the boxes on the page and (b) to resize and reshape the boxes - probably by a control which would become available by right-clicking on the box.  For example, there are times when the user might want to include a full 16 x 9 frame shot as one of the images, and in general the aspect ratios of the provided boxes do not permit this.
I have over the years preferred to use Word for this purpose after setting up masks to expose just the printable area of the DVD or Blu-ray disc, setting up the margins so that the center of the disc is in the horizontal center of the page, and finally introducing text and pictures and adjusting the font size of blank lines above the disc to line everything up properly in the vertical direction.  A typical layout might involve one large picture, located so the center hole and the curved outer edge do not block anything important, or two pictures side by side, or four pictures centered vertically (to minimize the effect of the outer edge of the disc) but possibly of different widths (so as to make both close-ups and wide scenes optimal on the same disc label).  The text then goes above and below the pictures.  All of this works perfectly so I probably wouldn't use Image Garden very often for this purpose, but the inability to resize and relocate the boxes must be very limiting for others as well.
Some of the layouts have image locations severely reduced by the edge of the disc.
As I said ... if you have an inside line to Canon .. but if not, please excuse the length of this post!
