I have a Canon 7D Mark2. Does PS Elements 13 can support it?
Thank you

Yes, with the very latest update to the camera raw plug-in.

  • Does premiere elements 13 support canon mov files?

Does Premiere Elements support Canon mov files or must I convert the mov file to a different format first?  If I have to convert the mov file first, what file conversion program should I use and what file type should I convert it to?

Thanks for the additional very helpful information.
    Two concerns in your case...
    1. Canon 70D and its H.264 intra frame compression. Please refer to the following
current thread on the color fade of the exports of the Canon 70D footage
    export quality
    2. Premiere Elements 10 on a computer with a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card
is bad news. The typical fix is to roll back the driver version to about May 2013. But, when the
computer operating system is Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, often there is not an older enough driver
version to revert to in order to get Premiere Elements 10 to display and work properly.

Also see Announcement at top of this forum about the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce issue.
You should not expect to run into this problem in Premiere Elements 13. But, go tryout before purchase
to assure the compatibility of the program with your computer environment and project goals.
Please review and consider and then we can discuss your situation further.
    Thank you.

  • Does Elements 12 support Canon 70D RAW files?

Elements 11 doesn't support Canon 70D RAW files. Is it possible to ugrade, or do I have to purchase Elements 12?

Sorry but I do not understand what XP or Vista has to do with my question. Stated another way, my question is, does the version of ACR that comes with the version of PSE 12 that is available for purchase at this moment definitely support Canon 70D RAW files?
FWIW, I am running Win 7 Pro 64 bit so PSE 12 will run on my system.
    Thanks.

  • Does Elements 6 support Canon Mark D5 II Raw Files?

Yes. You have to download and install Adobe Camera Raw 5.5 — please follow the instructions exactly as written.

  • I have a d70 canon camera, will Elements 12 support the CR2 files it makes in the raw exposures?

I have a d70 canon camera, will Elements 12 support the CR2 files it makes in the raw exposures?

    Hi,
I assume you mean the Canon 70D - that should be supported by ACR 8.2
If you have PSE 12, you will need to update it by using Help -> Update.
If you don't have PSE 12, the best thing is to download and install the trial version. You will still need to update it. It will function as the full product for 30 days so you can make sure it reads your raw files.

  • Elements 11 and Canon CR2 Compatability

Will Elements 11 open Canon CR2 files or Will I still need to convert to DNG?

Each camera is supported specifically, so it depends on the model of the camera, how new it is, compared to the version of the camera-raw plug-in that PSE11 is using.  If the camera is newer than the plug-in then it won’t be supported because Adobe didn’t have a chance to profile ti before the plug-in was created.
You can update your PSE11 to the latest compatible version with Help / Updates in the Editor module.
If your camera is a 70D then it will be supported with ACR 8.2 plug-in version (use help/about plugsin/camera raw to determine the version) but because PSE12 comes out in a few days/weeks, as does ACR 8.2, then perhaps PSE11 will not be updated to ACR 8.2 and you’d need to buy PSE12.
What camera model are the CR2 files from and what version of the ACR plug-in are you using?
Here is a web-page at Adobe that lists the version of ACR (and other programs) for each model of camera they support raw files from:

  • Canon 5D mark2 video: which preconfiguration and exportation / original

please which sequence preconfiguration for project with canon 5D mark2 video (avchd 1080p30 or avc-intra or another?)
and which exportation for create a video with the same original quality? (mpeg2?)
    thank you very much

I'm amazed that the "I can't edit 5D Mark II video with Premiere" cries are still surfacing. C'mon folks, that problem was solved months ago. OK, it's true, you have to spend an additional $99 for a utility (I'll mention that shortly), but that's life, every software package can't support everything. The problem is partly QuickTime, don't 100% blame Adobe. If you bought a 5D2 and want to produce video, you need to be ready to invest in some things, no getting around it.
First, the 5D2 puts out 1080p HD clips in H.264 at 30FPS, not the 29.97 NTSC standard. Keep that Post-It stuck on your forehead for a minute. Now, here's how to edit smooth and wonderfully in Pr CS4:
Go to VideoGuys.com and buy Cineform's NeoScene for $99.
Open your 5D2 .mov file with NeoScene, and hit Convert.
NeoScene will produce an .AVI file that will easily edit in Premiere. The .AVI file will be bigger in size than the raw 5D2 file, and will be interpolated from 4:2:0 to 4:2:2 (8-bit to 10-bit), just FYI. It's interpolated, don't expect miracles, but to me the video looks a bit better.
Import the .AVI into Pr and have fun. PrE should equally work I would assume.
That's it, simple! BTW, someone mentioned VLC... yeah, it plays video smooth, and the video quality looks like a busted cellphone recorded it.
    OK, couple of items:
If you record your audio to a .WAV separately like I do, just tweak your speed to 99.9% on the .WAV and all will be in sync. The 5D2 has rotten S/N ratio even with an add-on XLR converters; don't muck with on-board sound, just shoot your video on it. The Zoom H4N is a superb solution to record sound separately. OK, remove Post-It Note.
I assume you have some horsepower in your PC. If you're running an older dual core with 1GB ram and a single hard drive, game's over. You need power to edit. Get on the Black Friday deals and get some form of an i7 rig if you can with at least ONE separate hard drive for your assets, and 6GB of ram minimum (12gb is better).

Win 7 plays many formats natively. WMP plays my raw 5D2 clips as smooth as silk. It's also AVCHD native (Win 7 that is).

  • What level of Elements will support Olympus OMD-M-5 Raw Files (.ORF) ??

What level of Elements will support Olympus OMD-M-5 Raw Files (.ORF) ??

Yes it is the OM-D E-M5 Newly purchased. Love the camera but don't like the Olympus software.
I have Elements 7, but have previously been a Canon user and have hitherto used Canon DPP software to process my CR2 Raw files.

    not reading raw's from 70D

so, now after following the linked instructions...
    1. I'v installed  ACR 8.4 and it's opening the RAW files from 70D, but in camera profile I have "matrix"
in case with 60D RAWs ther was portrait, landscape, etc...
    2. The step wit installing the DNG converter I download the DNG converter 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3. - the reason is to add in the system camera profile that I want
every one of them do not install - just nothing happen after doubleclick (!?)
only one that  install and run it's 7.1 which dont support 70D RAW files....
it's amazing how to put all this to work propertly

  • DOES PS ELEMENTS 12 SUPPORT COLOUR PROFILING

Colour profiling is provided by reputable photofinishing firms. eg (DSCL)  to ensure that an acceptable colour "match" (ie that the image on the client,s monitor is the same as that provided in print form by the firm).Does Elements 12 support this process ?,

The point about whether to use an automatic process or not is a separate issue. I can understand that some people would not want to use it. However, even doing it manually in PE12 does not use the MWG standard.
Thanks for the pointer to the thread, which I note was started 2 years ago, with the last comment a year ago.
From that, I draw the conclusion that the PE developers see this as a very low priority. All the more reason for me to look at competitor products that do support this standard (e.g. Picasa and Photo Supreme).
    Thanks again.

  • My current Camera Raw 5.7 for Photoshop CS4 Extended does not support Canon EOS 6D. What can I do? Will there be a Photoshop Camera RAW for that?

My current Camera Raw 5.7 for Photoshop CS4 Extended does not support Canon EOS 6D. What can I do? Will there be a Photoshop Camera RAW for that?

You would need Camera Raw 7.3 or later to open those files. Adobe is not going to update CS4. You can either get a newer version of Photoshop that comes with a current version of Camera Raw, or you can use the DNG converter to save your files down to the ACR version that works with CS4.
