PS Elements 3: How do you align layers?

How do you align the edges of layers? (Align top, left side, right side, bottom, etc.) I can't find any way to do this.
I'm running Mac OS 10.3.9 and PS Elements 3.0.

The newly released Hidden Power Free tools will work for alignment in Elements 3 -- though they were made for Elements 4. You can get them in several places, including Adobe Studio ( http://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseProduct.asp?p=2 search for Hidden Power using the FIND field on the left of the page) and even download.com ( http://www.download.com/Free-Hidden-Power-for-Elements-4/3000-2197_4-10573821.html ). These tools are supported. If there is any interest, I can remake the set for elements 3 users. The tools that will not work are my layer-based channel mixer and component tools...Adobe changed layer merge functions in Elements between versions.
Please contact me if you are interested in the tools specifically for Elements3...I would be glad to provide them and make them available.

In 60p mode, it uses a proprietary system that most third-party editors, including Premiere Elements, have problems with.
Using the software that came with the camcorder to convert it to 60i seems to make it compatible.
I'm not sure why Panasonic decided to make its video format non-standard. But it looks like the easiest solution is to edit that 60p video pretty much only with the software they give you with the camcorder.

I'm using Photoshop Elements 7. How do I align/center a layer vertically or horizontally on a page?

Are you adding objects to a blank layer? If so bring up the ruler then drag and drop guides to your center and any additional points. You can also set so that objects automatically snap to the guide lines.
If you want to align visually similar images on top of each other, there is no auto-align like in CS5. The only work around is to lower the opacity of the top layer and then use the move tool to align by eye.

Sending a slideshow via email in Photoshop Elements 10-how do you do it and have it come out good?

I made a slide show, and under properties, chose size to share via email, then attached it to an email. I viewed it, and boy was it crappy! All out of focus and broken up. How do you create a slideshow for email sizing and have it come out like the original pictures?

If you have Windows 7 you can use Live Mail. Simply click the attachment icon and add your files and you will get an instant slideshow for emailing.
Recipients are no longer forced to install Microsoft Silverlight.

How Do You Use Layers in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6?

I enjoy merging photos and such together so I can create really neat images, but I am not sure how to do that with this program. I checked out the Help section, but it didn't really help me. Maybe someone on here can. Thanks!

You are asking a huge question. You'll get a better response if you ask something specific about a problem you are having with layers.
I'm not trying to be mean but you can find vast amounts of basic info on layers with a simple Google query. If you click the Video link after inputting a search query, you can even find video tutorials. YouTube is one place that has quite a few video tutorials.
How layers work hasn't changed between Elements versions. Layers work the same in Photoshop. The application interfaces may be slightly different but layers are layers.
FWIW, I'm not a big fan of the manual. You're better on getting something like "The Missing Manual" by Barbara Brundage or looking for info on the Internet. One free resource with tons of info can be found here:

The tutorials found at the above link use an older version of Elements so you won't find info on the newest tools and features but the basic Editor info on layers and the tools still apply.

In photoshop Elements 10 how do you calibrate colr/density output to Epson Artisan printers?

The colors printed by my Epson artisan printer, particularly the blues and greens, are not true to the photoshop colors, and the Epson prints are darker, denser, and have substantially less [punch than the screen images.I have tried about every setting there is onthe Epson printer drivers under abobe RGB, ICM, and Epson rpint options with little or no effect.

You'll want to read some very important information about Color Management to understand what your settings are doing and how to choose the correct ones, as well as making sure your computer is properly prepared.

How do you offset layers?

Hello. My question is this: If you break text apart,
distribute to layers and animate the text, then want to offset each
layer by a given amount (say 5 frames) from the previous layer, is
there a way to offset this? Or can someone think of a script that
would work? Just something that would take into account either the
order of the layers assending or decending according to selection,
and offset each layer compared to the previous layer.
So layer1 would be at 0 layer 2 would have an offset of 5
frames, layer 3 would have an offset of 10 frames...and so on. I
would appreciate it if anyone knows as I have an aweful amount of
text to animate this way.

The term you want is border. Use CSS to specify the thickness
and color.

I have made many lists, but when the line ends in some of the
rows and more space is needed for it it will go under, but start
where the "square", "dot", "star", .... is and not under where the
text above started. How do I get the second row of words to go
under the toprow and not under the "dot"?
This is where it is and maybe if you see it you will
understand my question better.

Do you realize you're never closing any of your <li>
tags? Before you start
a new <li>, you should close the previous one, like so

How do you maintain layers in pdf from layered PM6.5 file?

I've tried exporting from PM6.5, but get only 1 layer in pdf. I've tried converting the file using Acrobat 6, but apparently Acrobat 6 doesn't support .p65 files for this. I exported to a postscript file which Acrobat 6 could open/convert, but still only got 1 layer.

They did not and given PM’s need to use postscript to create PDF there is
no way to do this since postscript doesn’t support layers.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry. You will need to use the intensity graph and keep the buffer yourself.
Init the data with background values and start filling then in using
Replace Array subset. Presumably you are in a loop. Recirculate the
data in a shift register adding new data each iteration and plotting the
array to the intensity graph.
Once you get to the horizontal edge, you need to decide if you split the
data to get rid of the first row and append a new background row to the
end making a strip chart, or do you clear the array and start over from
the initial edge again making a scope chart, or do you mod the index
with the buffer size and erase a row at a time in advance making a sweep
chart.
To update the scales, you don't have to change the data. Just write to
the Offset property each time you scroll and it will relabel the data
with 0 mapping to the offset value.
