PS Elements 4.0 - Fotodatenbank sichern?

Kann mir bitte jemand sagen, ob und wie ich die Datenbank des Browsers beim PSE 4 sichern kann?
Sollte ich irgendwann mein System neu installieren, so möchte ich ja nicht noch mal von vorne meine Fotos mit Tags etc. versehen.

Endung: *.psa
Ist eine Access-datenbank.
Ja, das waere ein Supergau.....
Ein Kollege von mir hat aus Versehen seine Datenplatte formartiert. Da waren alle Bilder aus Afrika weg, die er 3 Wochen vorher gemacht hatte.... und auch die anderen 3000 Stueck. Er war gerade dabei sein System so umzubauen, dass er Backups von seinen Bildern hat....
Leider zu spaet... Alles wech...
Den konnte man wochenlang nicht gebrauchen...

Elements 10 Organizer bleibt beim Katalog sichern beim Ermitteln der Größe bei 50% hängen.
Um die Daten auf eine andere Festplatte zu tranferieren, möchte ich den Katalog sichern. Leider hängt das Programm beim Ermitteln der Größe bei 50%. Der Taskmanager zeigt dann 0% Aktivitäzt und auch mehrstündiges Warten hilft nicht. Man kann das Sicherung dann abbrechen und den Organizer ganz normal beenden.
Wer weiß Rat, wie ich all meine Daten auf die neue Umgebung retten kann?
Windows 7 64-Bit.

Ich habe glaube ich habe erst 15.000 Elemente oder so.
Mein Ansatz zum Teilen wäre duplizieren, also speichern unter anderem Namen oder Ort und anschließendem Löschen der entsprechenden Teile.
Sollte das Duplizieren aus dem Program heraus nicht gehen, wären ein Versuch evtl. den Katalog zu kopieren und zu reduzieren (evtl in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Mein Katalog).
Warum sollte man sich denn Elements 11 kaufen, wenn das nicht mehr unterstützt wird.
Auf jeden Fall ist es für den A...., wenn man so viel Arbeit ins Archivieren und Taggen reinsteckt und das dann für die Katz ist!
Genauso ätzend finde ich es, dass NAS-Laufwerke nicht unterstützt werden. Das ist doch völlig anachronistisch!

weiß jemand wie, ob man den Katalog des Organizers außerhalb des Organizers auf eine Festplatte sichern kann?

2. Nein du hast nicht Recht.
    Registry sollte dank Tuneup's automatischer Wartung eigentlich entrümpelt sein.
    Defragmentieren tue ich meinen Rechner auch regelmäßig.
    Einen RAM-Optimierer habe ich nicht installiert. Allerdings sind solche
    Programme(FreeRAM XP Pro) eigentlich recht unnüntzlich da Windows
    seinen RAM auch selber optimieren kann.
    Und überhaupt solche RAM-Optimierer schaden der Speicherverwaltung mehr, als sie
    nützen. Warum sollte man sich so einen Schrott installieren?
    Wie kommst du den zu der Annahme das mein System nicht richtig optimiert ist?

Elements 12 Organizer - Problem Katalog sichern - Wer kann helfen ?

Ich habe schon mehrfach einen neuen Katalog angelegt, immer das gleiche Problem:
Sobald ich den Neukatalog (10000 Medien) mit Personen-, Orts- und Ereignissdaten erfasst und zugeordnet habe, funktioniert die anschließende Sicherung nicht mehr.
Der Sicherungsvorgang friert regelmäßig im Arbeitsablauf bei "Gesamtgröße der Medien wird berechnet" unter der Fortschrittsstufe 77% ein.
Ich arbeite schon seit Jahren mit Elements, habe also versucht zu optimieren, reparieren bzw. indizieren Kein Erfolg. Auch Neuinstallation, anderes Windows Benutzerkonto
brachten keinen Erfolg. Im Moment bin ich ratlos. Ich hatte in einer früheren Version mal das gleiche Problem, damals konnte erst ein Update helfen. Ich habe den Support mit
meinem Problem kontaktiert, seit 3 Wochen ohne Erfolg. Kann mir jemand Tipps geben. Hat jemand das gleiche Problem?

Album Starter 3.0 - Datenbank sichern

Hallo liebes Forum,
ich habe Adobe Photoshop Album Starter 3.0 installiert in der Hoffnung mit diesem Programm meine Fotos einfach und preiswert (da kostenlos) zu katalogisieren. Das geht auch seit ca. 2000 Bildern sehr gut. Nun denke ich aber auch an eine Sicherung der Datenbank und an den Zugriff auf diese Datenbank von mehreren Rechnern aus nach. Die Bilder liegen auf einer mobilen Festplatte und ich möchte jetzt gerne die Datenbank auch auf diese Festplatte kopieren. Anschließend sollte diese Datenbank von allen Rechner einsehbar sein an der die Festplatte angeschlossen ist.
Dieses funktioniert sicherlich nicht mehr mit Album Starter. Aber in welches Programm (evtl. Album 2.0 oder Elements) kann ich meine bestehende Datenbank übernehmen und dann sichern. Außerdem möchte ich ja auch dieses Programm auf mehreren Rechner installieren und auf die eine Datenbank zugreifen.
Für eine Kaufempfehlung währe ich euch sehr dankbar.

Hallo Herr Faesing,
leider ist so etwas in den aktuellen Versionen von Album und Elements nicht realisierbar. Eine (Not-)Lösung gibt es natürlich - man legt ein Backup an und installiert das Backup auf dem nächsten Rechner. Ein echtes "Synchronisieren" fehlt bisher leider.
Andererseits gibt es auch ein prinzipbedingtes Problem: Da sich die Programme ja Pfade zu den Dateispeicherorten merken, stellt die Funktionsweise von Windows, neue Laufwerksbuchstaben zu vergeben, gerade bei verschiedenen Rechnern in Kombination mit Wechsellaufwerken jedes Programm vor Probleme...

im allgemeinen reicht es, wenn Du die "Voreinstellungen" nach den gespeicherten Arbeiten (von PS "Dateien genannt") durchkämmst (dieses "C:\_stick" ist nur als Beispiel gedacht und hat mit Deinem Verzeichnis nichts zu tun):
Zur Sicherheit kannst Du noch Deine Festplatte nach Deinen Projekten durchsuchen. Hilfreich neben der WIN "Suchen"-Funktion sind die üblichen Dateimanager (WIN-Explorer, NortonCommander, SpeedComander o. ä.).

Katalog sichern in Elements10

Hallo. Wie kann man in elements10 katalog wieder auf die externe Feestplatte sichern, wenn Fehlermeldung kommt: Fehler beim Schreiben auf CD/DVD. Katalog ist im Programm aktiv und kann benutzt werden. Elements kann anscheinend den Speicherort nicht finden und nimmt keinen neuen Speicherort an. Kann jemand das Problem lösen? Danke wonar

obwohl du leider keine Angaben zum verwendeten Programm gemacht hast, kommt mir das Problem bekannt vor. Ich nehme an, dass du mit irgend einer Version von Photoshop
Elements arbeitest und Probleme mit dem Katalog des Organizer hast - richtig?
Wahrscheinlich hast du mal mit dem Explorer oder anderen Programm außerhalb des Organizers die Bilddatei verschoben oder gelöscht. Der Organizer ist da sehr nachtragend und eine nachträgliche Synchronisierung gelingt oft nicht oder nur sehr mühsam.
Die beste Abhilfe dürfte sein, schnellstmöglich auf Lightroom zu wechseln ( den PSE-Editor kannst Du dann weiterhin verwenden). Hat bei mir noch nie Ärger gemacht. Bei den jetzigen Preisen für LR würde ich mich nicht mehr mit den Marotten des Organizers herumschlagen.
Ich weiß - es ist keine echte Hilfe, aber überlegenswert.

Using Adobe Bridge with Photoshop Elements

I have an iMAC with iLife 08.
I take photos in RAW format with a Nikon camera.
I have been editing photos this way:
After uploading photos to iPhoto, export them as jpg to a new folder on the desktop, external HD or wherever. I open Photoshop Elements, edit the exported photo.
Then I'm stuck with my edits outside of iPhoto, unless I then import them back into iPhoto. It works, but it's cumbersome.
Today I thought I'd try a different route. I opened Photoshop Elements, and tried to use Bridge to browse photos. I can find the iPhoto library easy enough, but if I click on it, it opens iPhoto, and I'm stuck - can't open the photos in Photoshop.
I am hoping that if I do it correctly, I can save my edits directly back into iPhoto.
Any ideas?

Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

ELEMENTS 11 no work on Mac Book Pro 10.9.5 mavericks

Now I am completely confused, I have MBP 10.9.5 , first of all my photos went to REVELL/ before and NOW A Orgainizer took them in? I DID ZERO! are there still photos on REVELLE? and why now wont this ElEMENTS 11 NOT WORK ON MY MAC?

Photoshope Elements when selecting an action, the paint brush tool doesn't work and system keeps freezing, then catching up every 30-45 seconds

I have been having this problem with elements ever since the last OS upgrade, but it wasn't all the time and it wasn't very bad. Now, I have upgraded my macbook again, and I cannot even edit a photo!! I open the photo, choose an action, say "smooth skin", then choose the paint brush, I start to "paint" over their face and it won't paint a line, I have to keep clicking it, click - it paints, move brush, click again - it paints. Plus, every time I choose a tool or an action, it freezes for about 10 seconds, then catches up to what I am doing, 30 seconds later, it freezes again. HELP!! I have 8 sessions to finish editing by this weekend!! I just want to cry!!

Is there any report for sale order wise wbs element report.
In my sale order i will give wbs element and now i want to check "for one sale order , what are the wbs elements"

You can check the WBS for a sales order from the table view of VBAP.
The WBS field is PS_PSP_PNR.
Goto SE16 and give VBAP.
Enter your sales order number and execute. Look for your WBS elements in foeld PS_PSP_PNR for the different line items.
You can also create a quick SAP query on this.

Unable to load project (prel file) into Premier Elements 7.0

just installed 7.0 ..when attempting to load a project (slide show for play back on a DVD) created in Elements 3.0 .. get error that "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements" .. I have no problem loading the same project in Elements 3.0. Also seems specific to this file, an other project create under 3.0 appears to load with out error. I should point out that the project that will not load was created in Elements 5.0 and exported over to Premier Element 3.0 to create a playable DVD .. the file that will load was created in Premier Elements 3.0 (not sure if that is significant but more information is better then less) .. any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated ..thanks

Unfortunately, the last part of that error says it all. Something is used, that no longer is in PE7, or has been changed significantly. Could be an Effect, a Transition (though those usually just disappear, and the file still Imports - PrPro gives a warning, and tells you which Transition is missing, and the TimeCode of where it was used), or something else.
If you have PE3, you can do two things:
1.) finish the edit there and Export to your delivery format
2.) Export a DV-AVI file and bring THAT into PE7
Neither is quite as good as being able to Import the .PREL and work on it in PE7, but those are about the only choices that I see. Now, if you have any clue as to what the Effect (whatever) is, that's causing the problem, you *might* be able to open a COPY of the .PREL in WordPad, search for that Effect, eliminate reference to it, and then Save as a .PREL. That might be a lot of work, and might well destroy that COPY of the file - that's why you work on a COPY.

I am the one with the problem wich kaderdz exposed. Sorry for my English writing, my first language is French!
I still have the same problem and some of my projects won't open (months of work...).
The few projects that opens are kind of weird : only one chanel work in the audio, and the "title" window has also change. Here are some screen shots of what happens :

Repeating a group element on each page of a report.

I have a report where I need to repeat a group element on each page. The element is from the first group in the data. It is in the center group. Currently, the values from this group only print when the group changes. Everything I try does not work. Does anyone have any ideas. I am attaching a sample of the data. Along with the rtf document. I am using the BI Publisher plug in in Word to create the template.

Hi,
You should add a first level of grouping in your subreport on a fake formula field with a constant value. Put your header and footer information in this group header and footer. In the group option make sure to check the "repeat group header on each page option".
This group will act as a page header + footer within your subreport.
