PS Elements 6 - Finding unmapped photos

Is it possible to search for photos that have not yet been placed on the map.

Here's the only way I know of finding photos that haven't been placed on the
map; it's a bit clumsy:
1. Right-click a photo or tag that's been placed on the map and select "Show
on map".
2. Zoom out the map all the way until you can see the whole world.
3. At the lower left of the map view, check Limit Search to Map Area. This
will show only photos that have been placed somewhere on the map.
4. Create a new tag called Placed On Map and assign it to all the thumbnails
showing.
5. Show All
6. In the Keyword Tags pane, right-click the Placed On Map tag and select
"Exclude photos with Placed On Map keyword tag from search results".
You might think of doing a Find > By Details and then selecting Map Location
Within 12,000 miles (the diameter of the earth is 24,000 miles), thinking
this would show all photos with a map location. But strangely, you're not
allowed to enter a distance of more than 200 miles.
The product managers of PSE 6 seem to have forgotten an important class of
use cases: People with large catalogs want to find all photos that aren't on
the map, or all photos that don't have a Place or People tag, or find all
hidden photos. In each of these cases, it's quite clumsy.
