PS Elements 6 Mac version

Hi Barbara,
I bought Barbara Obermeier's book as I was told it was Mac friendly. Not so. I didn't realize that Organizer is not available to us even though we bought the Mac version.
My dilemma is that my client loves the Museum layout in the slideshow option. I put his paintings on there but still after months of trying, cannot put it up on his site. I have 1and 1 as host, but they say I have to figure out the script myself and so far nothing works. I contacted Adobe but they didn't seem to know how to do it. I did have a QT movie but it took too long to load so I took it off as people were complaining they couldn't wait 2 minutes, me included!!
Please can you help me put this slideshow on the blank Paintings page. Do you use Bridge? Thanks

No version of elements will create a web gallery that is automatically a subset of another site. You can't put it "on" another page. What you do is to create a link to it on an existing page, and with the html galleries you can open the html page of the finished gallery before you upload it to encode a link back to the main site.
Frankly, I don't think PSE is exactly what you want, if your goal is to create a slideshow that will play on another page. There are many utilities that will create one that you just include on the Paintings page within your overall site template.

Re use of Elements 10, Mac Version. I can't send photo attachments thru the "sharing" link in the Organizer, becasue I can't enter the contact. When I click to edit contacts, it brings up a dialogue box, asking for my password. I enter the password and then another box comes up "signing in." But it never opens anything.

No problem. Glad you asked. Gave me a chance to check up on what is going on with my Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and its Elements Organizer 9.
I was ready to call it a day when the email from Adobe with the verification code arrived in my regular gmail email INBOX. So a gmail address should work.
Please go through the steps already mentioned in post 3 and wait for the email to arrived. It took about 1/2 hour in my case.
When the email arrives copy the verification code in the email.
Open the Elements Organizer and go to Share/E-Mail Attachment or Photo Mail. Go through the paces of setting up the email for sending in this area.
Before you get to the end where there is the email with a Send button ready for you to hit, there will be a pop up asking for the verification code.
Paste the verification code (from the email that you just received) in the verification field of the pop up. Click OK, and move forward in sending
the email by pressing the Send button in the completed email with attachments.
Later you might also want to experiment with Elements Organizer 9 Share/Photo Mail.
I had problems with my Contact Book for this task. But, if you have problems with the Contact Book, please let me know. If that happens,
we can keep away from the Contact Book icon and type in the recipient email address immediately before hitting the Send button for the email.

Windows Photoshop Elements to Mac Version

I bought Photoshop Elements for a Windows based laptop, but I've recently bought a Mac and want to transfer my purchase my to my Mac. However my serial number does not work. Am I able to transfer a purchase from Windows to Mac? Thanks in advance for you help.

That was assuming you mean PSE 12. If not, then just go buy it someplace, since adobe only sends the current version in a crossgrade and they would charge you their upgrade fee, which is usually more than the price at online retailers and big box stores.

Less brighter image in photoshop elements 6. mac version

Hay,
i start to adjust a photo in camera raw and fine-tune it in elements. When i use the organiser ( for mac is this bridge cs3) the picture is more bright then in Elements. Sometimes even over-exposed.
Is there someone who knows what the problem can be

Go under Bridge in menu Edit->camera raw preferences and make sure you have not changed any settings which is why you seeing images like this. Also check in Edit->Preferences. There might be the case that you have different color profiles for elements and bridge setup.

Mac Version of Elements 12

THE mac version does not accept the serial number.
OK, I know there is a message on the Forum that this is a known problem - use the trial for the time being while it is being sorted out they say.
So I d/l the trial, install it - and when I go to use the Editor, it asks me for the serial number and then rejects it.
I look up my case on Adobe site - and it is closed - they reckon they have sorted out the problem.
Rubbish!
I paid good money for a product and I cannot install it - let alone use it - and there is no way of getting help from the company.
What are Adobe going to do about it?
If I don't get support post haste - I will escalate this to Consumer Affairs - I'm tired of being ripped off.

OK, the problem has been sorted out - for me at least.
The validation server was being blocked.
I had an entry in my hosts file that prevented the connection.
Try going to https://lm.licenses.adobe.com
If you cannot connect - it means you are blocking the validation server - you need to edit your hosts file to edit the entry - then it should work.

Adobe elements for Mac and CS5 for Mac

Hi, I have two full licenses for photoshop, one for elements and one for CS5. Would it be possible for me to swap the Elements 8 (mac version) for Elements 8 for PC. I want to teach my son to use Elements for his college work, while he has a PC and I have a mac. I bought the Elements for a course that only used Elements but quickly as I moved on I had to use full CS5. I can't remember if I used the elements serial number to upgrade to CS5, where I should have CS4 serial number.

How do I get my Mac version of Elements 12 to work with my Epson XP-510 in scanner mode using the get photo's function.
It does not show the scanner being available even though the scanner works with other programmes and will print direct from organiser to the printer.

You must install the TWAIN driver:

However, it may still not work, since some scanners are not compatible with the 64-bit PSE 12. Epsons have the most problems, unfortunately.

I bought the Mac version of Premiere Elements, can I get the Windows version for free or cheap with my serial number? I'm about to migrate back to PC soon and I'd love to not have to buy the program again since I just bought it. Under my order history though it only shows it for Mac so I wanted to make sure.

The boxed packaging is not sold by Adobe direct. If you want to explore that type of purchase which offers the perk of a Windows and a Mac installation disc, you need to purchase from an authorized reseller who is not going to offer you "upgraded pricing". The seller would be its own entity with its own pricing and own return/refund policy. Sometimes the authorized reseller price may be less than the Adobe"upgraded pricing".
Did you purchase your Premiere Elements 13 Mac from Adobe direct and are within 30 days of purchase? If so, you can contact Adobe Chat Orders to ask for return/refund. And, then you can explore the authorized resellers for pricing and availability of the box packaging. Maybe check out the pricing all around before making any final decisions.

For PSE it's not worth it. You'd have to pay the upgrade fee and right now you can buy the full version of PSE from amazon and so on for less than the upgrade.

Normally an Elements license is valid for both Windows and Mac systems. So you might only need to download the Mac versions of the applications and use your serial number to activate them.

Compatibile MAC version to open premiere elements 8 projects?

I have a problem finding a MAC version of premiere elements that is capable to open my old premiere elemets 8 projects (PC version). I have tried the latest version 13 and the result was "not compatible". After that I bought version 9 for mac on ebay. Version 9 starts to open the projects but gthen also states that it is not copmpatible.
Has anyone an idea how to open my version 8 projects on my new Mac? Thank you!

Because the video capture is from a computer monitor, the Frame Size is going to be a limitation in PrE (even up through PrE 11), since it offers only standard video Frame Sizes. PrPro offers a Custom Project Preset, where the Frame Size, and non-standard Frame Rates can be chosen to match the Source Files (no Scaling, etc.).
Camtasia uses the TechSmith CODEC's, and when properly installed, can be used by PrPro (and I think PrE), but it is not freeware. Jeff Bellune, who provides a lot of info in that article on Camtasia/CamStudio, that I linked to, uses Camtasia and PrPro for all of his tutorials, seen on www.bellunevideo.com. That workflow is also used by Adobe in the Video2Brain training series, and for some AdobeTV tutorials, so you can judge the quality from those tutorials.
The limitations of PrE will mainly be the differences between the Frame Sizes, and possibly the Frame Rate, from a video capture program, and then possibly the CODEC's used. For some more reading on CODEC's, see this FAQ Entry: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811?tstart=0
