PS Network Graphic Legend

Hi All,
Can anyone throw light on how to change the legend in the network graphic for PS? For exmaple, is there a way to display partially confirmed activities in Yellow vs finally confirmed activities in Red?

Never tried but the config layout seems as if it is possible.
Follow the config path :
"sap netweaver - application server - front end services - network / hierarchy - define graphics profiles / node / links / colors etc.."
Standard graphics profile would be "PS - Network". Go to the "Node Group" list in that. (multiple selection icon).
try to find "PS_N_______1" group. Under this group you find number of color codes & form lines for each of the project objects (with their state).
Select activity part conf / fully conf & enter your required color there.
Pls share your experience on this, if you explore the above way.

Hi all,
Do you know how to add an icon (any SAP' icon) to a node in network graphics?
Just like a tree can have a leaf with icon (for example, a person icon, a plant icon), can a node in network graphics have an icon also? and how to implement in network graphics?
I already studied t-code gral: NETZOCX1
NETZOCX2
NETZ_BO1
NETZ_BO2
NETZ_BO3
But no actual output.
It seems using node type in network graphics can help to determine different icons, could you give some suggestion or examples?

Thanks for you link about SAP Graphics Framework. It seems not very useful in our case.
Since we are using Control Framework now, there is Tree and Networks in it. Can a node in a network have an icon (such as person icon, plant icon)? I know a leaf in a tree in Control Framework can have an icon.
Anybody has comments or suggestion?

How to change the image in SAP network graphics

In my development with SAP network graphics, I found it difficult to change the image displayed in SAP network graphics. and i define the image path in IMG, it doesn't work. Is there any one who can tell me how to diplay a image in SAP network graphics. In my program the class cl_gui_netchart is used.

Graphics legend colors

Does anyone know how to customize the colors displayed in a graphics legend. I've created a column chart with customized bar colors by using a format trigger and using og_set_fillcolor. But my legend doesn't reflect these custom changes. Is there an OG procedure to set legend colors?

Hi,
If you go to the Chart Expert, on the data tab, you can choose the Top N option.Â From within there you can get your legend sorted based on the highest or lowest percentage.Â You can also group information so that you only see the top 5 or lowest 10 or whatever you want.
Also when I create a pie graph based on 20 plus pieces of data it isn't resusing the colors, but they are somewhat similar. I usually do a group of the top 10 or so, then have an others category for situations like this.Â

I have created a career "Management Trainee to Manager HR".

MTO
On each position employee have to serve for 3 years. I have done this for each position via "Maintain Duration"
My client wants that this duration should display with object beside name of the position/job in "Display Career Items" or when we want to take a print of selected career.
for example, I want each Object in career path should display like below

3 Years

Network graphic for Development Plan

how can I access Graphic Network for creating Development Plans through transaction OOEC. When I click on the network graphic icon, it takes me to SAP standard screen not to the graphic editor. I face the same problem with transaction PPDPIM.
However, it works properly for creating career path (transaction OOQ4)
kindly help me on this as i need it urgently.

When archiving SAP data, can "network graphic" be altered?

The "network graphic" at SARA shows the archiving sequence of related archiving objects.
Is this rule that must stick to OR there is some flexibility?

Hi Linda,
You can view network graphic more as a 'guidance' than a 'rule'. it shows the business process that influences the archiving sequence. You get maximum throughput for archiving when you follow this sequence.
Also note that the network graphic is not exhaustive depiction of all the dependencies that exist between objects that exist in the system.

Network graphic to hierarchy graphic error?

Dear all,
I'm getting into PS at the moment and during some exercises I saw something odd...
I'm in the project builder (CJ20N) and using ECC 6.
I select the first WBS element and click "hierarchy graphic". Nothing went wrong, SAP displayed the graphic properly.
After that I select the first network and click "network graphic". Nothing went wrong, SAP displayed the graphic properly.
But after that, I selected one more time the first WBS element and clicked "hierarchy graphic", but this time SAP displays the network graphic... and (in my view) should be displaying the hierarchy graphic.
If I quit the project and reload it, I can see the hierarchy graphic again, but after calling up the network graphic... The same problem as described above.
What went wrong? Does anyone knows how to resolve this issue?

Show an icon in the node of Network Graphics

Is it possible to show a system icon like "ICON_CHECKED" in the nodes of a network/hierarchy graphics ?

Dear guys,
I know in the IMG->Frontservice, we can define the Network/Hierarchy fiels' properties. Like GraphSymbolFile, we can set a bmp image to show a icon.
But it seems this setting is a bmp file which need this file exists in the client PC.
(in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui). If the file doesn't exist in client,
this fiels will be empty. So for my case, I believe it is better to show a system icon here.
Does anyone try to use this before ?

SHORT DUMP DYNPRO_NOT_FOUND, DOUBLE CLICK ON OPERATION IN NETWORK GRAPHIC

Dear Experts,
I am getting shor dump error as DYNPRO_NOT_FOUND in transaction IA02 while double clicking on operation in newtwork graphic.
I found SAPNOTE 397750 for releases SAP_APPL 46 and 46C. But we are using ECC 5.0 SAP_APPL 500.
Please give the solution how to resolve this dump error.

Hi,
there is no coding correction in the note, hence please compare the setting mentioned in the note with your system, if the entry does not exist, you might have to maintain it. otherwise, i am afraid you need to submit a OSS message regarding it.

Network's graphic rendering

hello everyone,
i'm developing network-oriented application and have a trouble at the final stage. Concerning network graphical representation, i would like to know possible ways to do it. That involves hosts, subnetworks, connections, etc rendering. Say, host should contain image from file as well as string info.
Which Swing classes its better to use? I will appreciate your suggestions.

You can use JFrame to contain a JTree for your network design. You may also use a JTable to enumerate various data elements based upon the node.

Editable graphics with java?

hello ,
I have to create a gui where the user can view an image of the local network. think this would work with a jpg, but the problem is that it should be possible to edit the machines to change their names and also to change the network-graphic - means to add new machines and connections between them.
Is this possible with java? which classes can I use and where can I
find a tutorial?

Yes it is possible.
If you get the Graphics object from the Image, you can edit however you want. You will need a encoder to save the Image back to whatever format.

Active status of "sub network" exists indicator activity

Hi Friends
Activity elements have been added to an Activity, still "sub-network" check box is inactive on overview screen. All the relevant data have added or copied from patent activty.
- when can we view that <b>"active</b>" check box - <b>subnetwork</b> exists on overview screen of ativity and also on acitivy element.
- In network graphic could not maintain relationships to activity elements beacuse those activity elements are not visible on network graphic. why?
Can any one help on these issue how to go?

Dear Sudhakar,
Activity elements are not regarded as subnetworks. This is the reason why you
don't get the flag "subnetwork exists" set.
If you assign a network into a different network's activity, only in this case you will have a subnetwork and the flag will be set. In order to do so you much create the
child network normally in CN21 and then, in the network header (in tab Assignements) you can specify the parent network and activity.
If you now call the parent network and navigate to the activity, you will be able to see that the "subnetwork exists" flag is set.
Regarding the network graphic:
It is not possible to view activity elements in the network graphic. This functionality has not been designed.
Please also bear in mind that no relationships can be maintatined between activity elements.
I guess you have been mistaking the concept of element and subnetwork. If you use subnetworks instead of elements, you will be able to build relationships and also to display them in the network graphic.
