PS Premier Elements corrupted. Tried de-install/re-install from DVD. got disable PhotoShopServer.

I installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10 on my Macserver OSX Lion about a year ago.
I upgraded from Lion to Maverick recently and am currently running Mac OSX Maverick 10.9.1
I was doing video editing on Premiere and it hung. I was unable to restart Premiere successfully. I just got the equivalent of a windows hour glass. I had to force quit the app several times. No luck anymore.
I tried to de-install and re-install the app via my installation discs.
I could not de-install because i could not remove one or both of the following:
Photohopserver and dynamiclinkmanager appear in the install window asking to disable them.
I removed dynaminlinkmanager from the memory but, PhotoShopServer appeared in red for a moment stating that it was not responding.
If PhotoShopServer is not responding, then how am I able to stop it from de-installing and trying to re-install my discs?

I cannot uninstall because PhotoShopserver still is holding up the de-install process.
It is in red and not responding in the active memory. I force quit the red and still get the same error in the de-install process, PhotoShopServer is still active, even though it is no longer visible in memory.
This is where my problem is. I cannot de-install.

I installed it but the only problem is when I try to open "new project" it tells me I have to put my password in and username for the first seven days of installation, but when I do that the project never opens, it just has the loading bar loading and then it stops, so I have no idea wat the problem is, please help

Have you gone through the typical drills of
1. Latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements?
2. Running program from User Account with Administrative Privileges as well as from Run As Administrator applied to the desktop icon
with right click of the icon, followed by selecting Run As Administrator?
3. Does problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Even though the Premiere Elements 12 Editor will not open, can you open the Elements Organizer 12?
If Yes to all of the above, please review the following for a possible solution...

Premier elements 10 will not install!!

Premier elements 10 will not install on my Mac. Installing from disk. I get a bunch of words starting with Warning:DW031: To me it is all just junk and unhelpful. I followed the contact customer support link and it leads me to the most useless web site I have ever encountered. Why is this so frustrating? How do I get past this? It has already cost me hours of frustration. I have a screen shot of the installation status error page but nowhere to send it. BTW, photoshop elements loaded just fine on this computer. HELP!!

safe mode and it starts to install but get an error there as well.
What do I do?

So when you put the disk in it won't run correctly? When the disk is inserted you should have a window pop up with 2 options. 1 to install and the other to see what is on the disk. Choose to explore or open the disk. Go to the CS4 folder where the photoshop .exe file is (that will run the setup), right click on the .exe file and choose run as Admin and it should start. See if it will install. If not then read below.
I am not sure how far you got in the install before so chances are you will have to run the CS4 cleanup utility. 2 levels to run at but don't use 1 or 2 just type in the number 3.

Before you try to reinstall the software ensure that adobe reader is not installed. If it is remove it. It has caused issues in the past with vista and CS4 installs.
Also turn off windows Defender and any anti-virus software. You can keep UAC on in Windows 7.
During the CS4 install at 90 percent it will almost stop and may take 5 to 10 mins to finish. This is normal. What a pain huh......
After install is finished, reboot
After reboot, go to the CS4 64 bit or 32 bit icon (depends on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) in start area, right click on CS4 64 bit (if you have windows 7 64 bit) and choose properties, compatibility tab and then check run as Admin at the bottom area. Hit apply, ok to close out.
Now start CS4 and run the updater.

With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Look though other Apple Mail folders like the junk mail and delete the mail that is in there. Look through your sent items folders and see there is any mail in there that can be deieted.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

Although Premiere Elements is not going to record streaming video from the Internet but there are other programs that can, you should consider the terms of service for the web site that is the source for the streaming video.
Online, there are very comprehensive articles on numerous programs that will do the recording.
But, even those articles point out that many of the Internet web sites that you target for their videos have terms of service that would legally prohibit the recording of streaming video from the named web sites, one example, YouTube, if no download button and depending on the terms of service.
Please consider. Any questions about the above, I can point you to the appropriate documentation on the matter.

The last window where you have to click the install button, bottom right, was greyed out. An error message said the install wouldn't run as it said I was running Vista.
I'm using Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
However, I did a restart on my laptop and clicked set up. Everything was fine. Premier Elements installed without a hitch. By this time it was nearly midnight and I forgot to go back in here and say so.

Licensing issues...Photoshop Elements 6...installed from a CD ... too old?

I just downloaded and installed my Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 from my purchased CD. I have the serial number, etc. I bought it brand new, years ago. I cannot get it to open off the desktop...something about the licensing stopped working. What is this about? Why can I not be allowed to open my program? Does this mean I have to buy an updated version....so I am SOL?

Are trying to install in on your old machine or a new one?

I'd like to use iPhoto '09 with Lion. Tried to install from time machine back-up no go. Tried to install from iLife '09 DVD no go.

I'd like to run iPhoto '09 on Lion. Tried to install on Lion from Time Machine backup. Got message iPhoto won't work because of a missing Library file. Tried to install iPhoto '09 from iLife '09 DVD. Got message that it cannot be installed on my system. iMovie runs previous versions and iTunes runs previous versions.
Why can't iPhoto run on Lion? My wife has over 10,000 photos in her library and she's taken the time to sort them into folders. I've recovered the library with the folder sort but have to use it on an external drive with a Snow Leopard system on it. The latest iPhoto ('11) has no provision for organizing into folders. I'd really like to have everything in one place with one OS (Lion) and two iPhoto apps '09 and '11 and I suppose 2 photo libraries. I tried to check the Library setup on iMovie and iTunes. The iMovie Libraries seem to be part of the applications and my iTunes applications have become Russian so I have another problem. I tried to install iPhoto '09 again from my iLife '09 disk. When I selected "Custom Install" to load iPhoto only, the box I got said " A later version of this application is already installed" The iPhoto item which I would choose for a custom install says "skip". Yesterday I ignored this and went on with an install. The final screen said "Installation Successful" There was no iPhoto '09 on my hard drive. Tried to install 10.4, got an error message, now nothing works!!

So I got an 800Mhz eMac for my mother. It came with 10.2.8, she needed 10.4 to be able to install Skype. I got 10.4 on 16 discs and started installing it, at disc 9, I got an error message. After that it told me to insert OSX INSTALL disc 2. Everytime I put it in, it spits it back out, I tried every other disc, doesn't change anything. Tried restarting by putting in Disc 1 and doing the C button start-up, doesn't change anything. I even tried other restore discs that I have and no result.

You will probably have to erase and install the operating system using the good disk. You may be able to backup if you can use Target Disk Mode to retrieve your critical data of the machine to another Mac.

Furthermore you have broken your friend's license agreement by installing those disks on your computer. They are only licensed for use with your friend's computer.
In the future never try to circumvent the law like this, it can land you in deep trouble.
Once you are done backing up, use the startup manager to start the good disk, and go through the procedure to erase and install from the options of installation when you nothing but a keyboard and mouse connected:

and use your serial numbers aso. from your disk.
Maybe it's necessary to delete first all the rudiments from your former installations.
