PS stopped syncing on Mac Pro

i have the following settings in PhotoStream on the Mac Pro and i have PhotoStream sync turned on in my iPhone settings. is there another setting on the mac pro i should check?
my iphone is connected to my home network and it has been for the last four hours.
i have started and quit and started and quite aperture on my mac pro.
i have disconnected and reconnected iCloud sync on my mac pro.
is there anything else i can try if i can see an April 2014 Photo Stream folder on the mac pro in aperture but i can also see about 200 photos that are on my iPhone in PhotoStream that are not in this month on the Mac Pro?
i just opened the macbook pro and opened aperture and these images from my phone are now syncing to this device.
i run mountain lion on the mac pro and mavericks on the MBP.
what am i missing other than PhotoStream is not working very well...?

i have the following settings in PhotoStream on the Mac Pro
With these settings you should see "My Photo Stream" in the "Shared > iCloud" section in Aperture on your Mac Pro, but the monthly projects will not import new photos from the stream. If you want monthly projects automatically imported, enable "Automatic Import" in your settings.
Did you not say, that you only want to import the Photo Stream to one of your Macs, if I remember correctly?

  • I am struggling to sync my Mac Pro iTunes songs to my iPhone 5s

I am struggling to sync my Mac Pro iTunes songs to my iPhone 5s. Please can you help? Everytime I try to sync a message pops up "Your iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iphone."
"To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store, choose Store > Authorize this computer".
Once I have followed instructions as above, this is what I see, "This computer is already authorised". Including this one, you have authorised one computer out of your 5 available."
    Please can you help?!?!
    Thanks.
    Best regards.

    Hello, Meloni.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The most common cause for this issue would be media present in your library that is purchased with another Apple ID.  The article below will walk you through the process of verifying if that is the case or correcting the issue if not.
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

  • Can i sync my mac pro with my mac book?  i mainly want to do this for iTunes and iPhoto?  I also have an iPhone and an iPad.

Do you have a local network setup either wired or wireless? If so, then have both computers connected to the network. Enable File Sharing on both computers in Sharing preferences. Select the startup drive on each computer. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and check the box labeled, Shared Folder.
You can now keep both computers in sync by using a third-party backup/sync utility that will work with a network setup such as:
    Data Backup
    Deja Vu
    Silver Keeper
    Retrospect
    Super Flexible File Synchronizer
    Synchronize Pro! X
    Synk Pro
    Synk Standard
    Tri-Backup
Others may be found at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • ICal stopped syncing via .mac

iCal has stopped syncing using .mac and I can't use iCloud because I'm on Snow Leopard (can't upgrade yet due to Lion's lack of support of previous versions of Microsoft Office). The iCal sync option is turned on in system preferences. Has Apple changed something already in .mac to cause this?

  • Mountain Lion 1.8.2 update made my dual monitor stop working on Mac Pro mid 2012

Just done Apple's update for Mac OS X Mountain Lion to 1.8.2 and after rebooting my dual monitor stopped working.
If I go on preferences -> Displays it shows me only one of my two monitors, even if I invert the connections the 2nd monitor doesn't shows up and there seems no way to enable it again.
    Any suggestion?
P.S. I already tried to set from "Best for display" to "Scaled", but after rebooting Mountain Lion 1.8.2 reset it to "Best for display"

    Ok,
did some extra test here, but first of all my configuration:
Mac Pro (Mid 2012) with ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB.
2 LCD 24" Wide-screen (1st monitor Hyundai W240D and 2nd Monitor HP w2448hc), both LCD worked perfectly until reboot after installing OS X 1.8.2
After reboot only the 1st monitor wored fine, the 2nd not even listed, so tried to invert cable connections on the 2 miniports on the ATI video card, but nothing changed, still only the 1st monitor working.
Did a second test, disconnected the 1st monitor and connected ONLY the 2nd and now the second works fine.
Tried to connect 2nd monitor on a different miniport, and i still works fine.
Updated my MacBook Pro to 1.8.2 (it as an nVidia card) and connected my 2nd monitor to it and everything works fine, both the laptop LCD and my HP LCD are working fine.
So it looks like Apple screwed up the ATI driver on the latest 1.8.2, now only ONE miniport is active.
To all users with the same Mac Pro configuration: hold to update to Mountain Lion 1.8.2 until Apple fix this driver issue.
More info are on the Console output, so will have to contact Apple on-line support to signal this bug.

  • Iphone 4S Lost all contacts when synced to Mac pro

    Any help would be nice.

You need to provide a little more info.
Have you synced to the Mac Pro before?

  • ICal on iPad Air won't sync with Mac Pro

All I want to do is to sync the iCal on my iPad Air with my Mac Pro (both with the latest systems) WITHOUT using the cloud. Why doesn't the sync function really sync when I attach the iPad to the Mac Pro? The dialog says that it sync's, but it doesn't.

Seriously?  There are various reasons why I don't use the Cloud, but I want to sync my calendars on my iPhone with my new MacBook Pro.  So I've been setting up the new machine, and most things work, but I can't get the phone to sync calendars with the MacBook.  The instructions (on the laptop) say to plug in the phone, and go to iTunes, select the device (the iPhone) and then click the Info tab.  But there is no Info tab to click.  I've searched and searched, and cannot find it.  So, now I'm thinking, is this the answer to this problem that Apple hasn't alerted me to?  ...or am I a complete moron for not being able to find it?  The look in iTunes is different from what I'm used to looking at in my old machine (an older MacBook).
Music, iTunes U, and other things seem to sync properly.  I haven't investigated yet to see whether my calendar is syncing up right.
I don't keep up on all the nomenclature:  "Mavericks" refers to the new OS that came with my Macbook (10.9.1)?

  • Iphone 6 calendar stopped syncing with Macbook pro calendar

My new iPhone 6 was syncing with the calendar on my MacBook Pro but just stopped. iCloud is enabled on both devices.

It just started working again. Not sure what changed.

  • IPhone can not sync with Mac Pro

My new iPhone 3GS syncs happily with iTunes but when I use any third party sync it can see my MacPro and vica versa but they can not actually sync. Some example applications are 1Password, Hipporemote Pro, Pastebot. I have an iPhone 3G too, which I still use and does not have these problems. I can sync my new iPhone with my MacBookPro on the same applications. Any thoughts?

I seem to recall that when the Palm people tried jury rigging their phone to work with iTunes, Apple went to great lengths to loc them out so that only iTunes would work with the iPhone and more importantly, only an iPhone would work with iTunes.
Its entirely possible that the lockup created has stopped your third party apps from working with the iPhone.
Of course, as they are not Apple approved, then you probably shouldn't even ask questions about it here as its probably against the ToU.

  • 4s icalendar stopped syncing with mac

All my devices were syncing just fine until one day (and no, I don't remember what I did on that day) when my phone was no longer updating properly. I have since purchased a 6 but all the same issues transferred from my 4s. When I try to sync via iTunes, I get the -50 error but I don't know how to figure out what the cause is. HELP! Thank you so much.
My calendars are both the same, I have checked to make sure it's set to sync.

I really don't know what else to try to this point.
I can tell you that I think that this version of iTunes has been the most unreliable version ever for me concerning WiFi syncing with my MacBook running Lion 10.7.4. I thought that this iTunes version was tweaked specifically to work with Mountain Lion 10.8.2 - aka iOS for the Mac - as I like to call it.
I'm sure that you have tried this over and over again, but when iTunes will not recognize my iPad - which happens too often now in 10.7 - I keep quitting iTunes, rebooting my iPad and restarting my Mac until it finally works again. Sometimes it takes me four or five tries, but I can always get it to work again.
And even though the USB to dock connector is working for the phone, it would not hurt to try another cable with the iPad just to make sure that it is not the problem.

  • ICal not syncing with Mac Pro running Lion

I installed Lion so I could sync all my devices. I don't see my iCal events on iCloud, and, naturally, they are not showing up on my iPhone, or my iPad. If I go the iCloud on in my prefrences panel, it just takes me to the website, where there doesn't seem to be settings for iCal activation. What to do?

On the iPhone and iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the devices.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Calendars then reselect then restart your Mac.
