In converting an Illustrator file to a tif, is it better to export from Ill or open in PS and save as tif?

As stated I operate LR5 as an update from LR4. LR 5 was installed as an downloaded update from Adobe ( via an amazon purchase )
My laptop is ill having nearly filled my HDD. I need to wipoe my HDD and begin again to gain some storage. Is there any way I can re-install LR5 from ADOBE as part of the original purchase agreement ?

Signal ILL trying to debug java process with dbx

I'm trying to debug a java process to find an error in JNI code. I get this message when dbx stops in a C breakpoint:

0xf848ed28: tne 0x12This signal is not launched when running application without debugger, and after launching this exception and exiting dbx, the java process generates a core.
I've tried to find out unsuccessfully whether my dbx version is compatible with my Java version, but it seems this could be the problem.

Large (980Mb) EPS file won't open in ill CS4
Can anyone help me?
I have to open an illustrator 8 EPS file of ±980MB (it is a road map with lots of layers) in Illustrator CS4. I have an G5/2000 with 7 gig memory and I'm using 10.4.11.
I have no other programs open and each time it gives the message: not enough memory; so I can't open the file...
Is there a way of opening the file in Ill CS4?
ThanksYou have to assign a scratch disk that is big enough to open it so it. Maybe your start up disk, which would be the default scratch, is tight for space and you might want to assign another disk as the scratch. One that is say less then 80% filled.
remember the file size is large for AI and the layers will eat u the scratch as well as effects so the almost 1 GB can seems as far as your system is concerned to be a 40 GB scratch, I might be exaggerating with that but you get the idea. -

You can create multi page documents in many versions of Illustrator. How to do it, depends on your version. The search term would be multipage.
Illustrator doesn't have a table feature. So perhaps using InDesign for the job would be a good idea. You can just draw some lines in Illustrator or you can create tables without any lines. This depends on how you want your tables to look. -

Restricting illness types in table T572B
We have a requirement as part of an ESS/MSS rollout to restrict the illness reasons to a set list. This list differs from the current list in the above table. Is there a way to restrict which list is shown depending on Personnel Subarea Grouping. The range of illness types is different, the one being used by other companies is 000001-999999, this has been created as A00001 - A99999.

Unfortunatelly, the j2s-xmlAdapter-field example available with JAXB 2.0 is more complicated than I need. I just need to store/load HashMap into/from XML and I do not care what it looks like. Is it possible to avoid extending XmlJavaTypeAdaptor for a simple storing a HashMap into XML? Perhaps I use improper annotations in the source code, but I cannot get it working.
