Ps3 Bluetooth headset and Siri

Hi, I'm using a Ps3 headset (the older one) and I'm trying to use siri. However, siri won't stop listening when I stop talking. The only way to stop this is to mute the device but that means I can't send messages or anything. I tried pressing the power button like I do to activate siri, but that just shuts down siri. If anyone can help me with any other ways to use siri with it that would be very helpful. Thanks

From my understanding the dock for the bluetooth headset was made for the original iPhone. The dimensions of the iPhone 3g are different, so the dock would not be the right size for the phone. You can still charge the bluetooth headset either in the dock that came with it, or with the cable that also was included in the box. Hope this helps

  • Sony ps3 bluetooth headset keeps turning itself off

    I recently purchased the official sony ps3 bluetooth headset, hoping it would also work with my mac. I've paired it, and successfully used it but the headset itself keeps turning off. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Thanks~

    Yes, it's fully charged. I plan on posting on the sony forums also, but I figured I'd try this approach also, given I have a feeling both companies are going to put the blame on the other. It does seem like sony's issue to me though, but you never know. I was just hoping I'd find someone who had the same experience (or a good experience where it does work) on these forums.

  • Just bought bluetooth headset and it won't turn on ??????????

    I just bought my bluetooth headset and it wont turn on... at all. ive tried charging it and the light wont even turn on. What am i doing wrong? help me pleease! thanks

    The Apple BT headset? Did you press and hold the button for a few seconds? A set of rising tones indicates power on. The light only lights up when connected to the power cable (orange when charging, green when charged).

    I have Sunglasses Bluetooth Headset and Apple Iphone 4, I Can Communicate Calls Using Headset. But I can't Listen Musics Using Headset.

    The iPhone supports the following Bluetooth profiles. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
    In order to play music through the headset, it must support this particular profile, A2DP.  You can check the specs on the headset to see if it does support that. Not all headsets that support phone calls will support music.

  • I have a 3GS. Am trying to sync a plantronics explorer 232 Bluetooth headset and can't figure it out. I have Bluetooth turned on but it searches for devices and the headset never shows up. Anyone know exactly how to do this?  My tech skills are lacking

    I have the same blueparrott headset headset with the directions. Actually reading them just fixed my iphone pairing issue.
    Here they are in case u still need them along with what I needed to do to get mine to work with iphone 4
    Pair Headset with Phone
    Turn off headset off
    Hold down headset's MFB (large top button) until red & blue lights flash and you hear 2 rising tones, followed by 4 more tones. Must wait for all before you release the MFB button!! (I had my hubby hold the MFB while I waited for the tones since both come from the headset
    Release the MFB and follow your phone's instructions to place it in 'bluetooth' discoverable mode.  With the iphone4, go to "General" and then "Bluetooth" and turn indicator to "ON".
    This is where my issue occurred as the phone could not find the bluetooth, although it worked with my LG phone.  So after trying it several times thinking I was nuts and that the issue was with the iphone, I looked further in the blueparrot's directions and found this step that fixed the issue.
    Reset Paired Devices List
    On the bluetooth, press and hold down both the volume up & volume down buttons for 5-6 seconds.  A double beep will be heard and the list will be reset.  Pairing info for devices previously paired will be lost.
    The bluetooth directions provide this as step 4 but that did not work for my phone (see below)
    4. Once the phone discovers the headset, select "pair" and enter "0000" code and that when pairing is complete the blue light on the headset will stop flashing and phone will prompt you to 'connect'.
    This is what I had to do after resetting the device list on my bluetooth
    4. My iphone instanting discovered the headset and displayed it under 'Devices" but showed a message that it was 'not connected'.  Once I selected the device on the iphone by pressing on it then it changed to "connected".
    Even when I turn the bluetooth on and off the device remains on the list and alll I do is select it to connect and disconnect after I turn on my blueparrott bluetooth
    I hope this helps others!

  • Skype reverts to speaker after pc restart from Bluetooth headset and its mic.

    I have set Skype for Windows to automatically switch to Bluetooth headset and its microphone when is on and when headset is off to switch back to speakers. But after pc restart it switches to speakers. What should I do?

    Yeah this is the same problem I had. Just go and get a replacement.
    Dont think too much about other solutions. Its apple's headache not ours.
    But I enjoyed the 1 week testing I did on the first phone I got. For me with bluetooth paired phone it was exactly from the second call and if its wired headset that is connected, then from the third call you make, there wont be any audio (goes to the speaker). Clearly a software bug, but just confused why not all phones have this issue.

    Does the PS3 Bluetooth Headset work with the IPod Touch 4Gen?
    I really need to know. I have been trying to Pair them but it never shows up on the IPod. Anyone know the problem?

    Is it A2DP?
    The ipod touch does not support telephone headsets, just stereo headsets.

  • Ps3 bluetooth headset

    Has anyone been able to setup and operate a ps3 headset in bootcamp running xp?
    I have tried various solutions on the internet to no avail. I believe it's a driver issue.

    The headset works on os x fine.

  • Bluetooth Headsets and D-Link DBT-120

    Hi everyone,
    I am running a PowerMac Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with OS 10.4.11. I have been having the hardest time finding a solution to pair my Plantronics headset with my Mac. I have tried several Bluetooth USB dongles, most recently the D-link DBT-120 and everytime I go to pair the headset, I get the error: "Failed to set up the headset. Headsets are not supported on your Bluetooth hardware." I have the most up to date bluetooth firmware and software on my Mac:
    Software: 1.9.5f4
    Firmware: 3.1915
    I read in the support article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120276
    "Headset support requires a Bluetooth enabled headset and either an internal Apple Bluetooth module or a D-Link DBT-120 rev. B or later."
    so I understand why the 2 other cheap USB bluetooth dongles didn't work with headsets, but even after buying a new D-link dbt-120, I STILL get the error...any thoughts??? Thanks in advance!

    Your link loops back to this thread.
    So, what you are saying is, the Apple doc recommends this DBT-120:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/D%2DLink/DBT120/
    But you have this one:
    http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=34
    is there a solution without upgrading to 10.5?
    OS X 10.4.3 and later are supported, but note the disclaimer:
    This device supports Bluetooth® Version 2.0. However D-Link cannot guarantee full compatibility with all devices due to modifications and/or other variations of the devices’ implementation of the Bluetooth 2.0/1.2/1.1 standard.

  • Bluetooth Headset and Vista x64

    Hi,
    I've run into a lack of drivers when trying to install a Bluetooth headset for use with my Mac.
    I get two "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with yellow icons in the Device Manager and Vista says it can't find drivers.
    I've removed all my drivers and re-installed Boot Camp v2.1 with no luck.
    Has anyone been able to get a Bluetooth headset working under Boot Camp and Vista?
    thanks,
    j.

    Go to Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices (or whatever it is called in Vista), and change the output there.
    Normally if it comes out of the speakers and you plug headphones in, it should automatically transfer to the headphones.
    With BT I assume you need to do a little more work.

  • Utility to switch between Bluetooth headset and built-in audio input/output

    I'm looking for a utility that will switch the Sound preference settings between my Mac's built-in audio input/output device and my Bluetooth headset for use with applications such as Skype.
    The way I envision it working is that I would click an icon at the top of the screen and it would toggle the Sound preferences settings from
    Output = Line Out (or Digital Out)
    Input = Line In (or Digital In)
    to
    Output = (my Bluetooth headset)
    Input = (my Bluetooth headset)
    or vice-versa.
    That's it. It doesn't need to automatically detect my headset as I might be using the headset on another device. Just a button that would toggle between the built-in and Bluetooth device settings.
    Has anyone seen anything like this?

    Thanks, it works great.
    It would be even better if one could define device groups. e.g. Headset, built-in devices, etc. I'll drop a note to the developer.

  • Motorola H300 bluetooth headset and 3.0

    I have a Motorola H300 bluetooth headset. It pairs and shows as connected with my Iphone 3G S. However, it works only with the phone. I understood that the new 3.0 OS would allow bluetooth devices to work with the IPod functions also. Am I correct? Any suggestions as what may be wrong?

    I have a hands free earpiece headset I've been using for months. It would stay connected and in standby mode until a call came in — one touch and it would answer a call. I recently got a Insignia stereo Bluetooth headset in anticipation of 3.0 and they work great.
    The problem is my hands free earpiece headset also picks up the stereo from the iPod. This headset, will no longer go into standby because it's always connected. I can't listen to my iPod in my car and keep the earpiece on standby as in the past. I now have to completely shut off the earpiece just to listen to music through my car stereo. When a call comes in I have to boot up the earpiece. This takes longer, and while driving, more distracting.
    Any ideas on how to keep the iPhone from playing the iPod through my hands free telephone earpiece?

  • How do I set the monitor to a bluetooth headset and real instrument thru built in jack?

    So, here's the ingredients:
    - Macbook white unibody running OS X Leopard, Garageband '11
    - Nokia BH-504 bluetooth headset;
    - One regular cable connected to an electric bass;
    - One adapter to the built-in input;
    The problem:
    monitor the real instrument (the electric bass) via bluetooth headset.
    No problem pairing the bluetooth device in question. No problem at all seting it up on GB.
    But when I plug my bass to the built-in input I cannot hear it on the bluetooth headset.
    Kinda confused, right? Was it clear enough?
    Cheers!
