PS3 Guitar Hero USB Microphone works with iPad and GarageBand ! :-)

I have a white USB adaptor that I use to connect my digital camera to my iPad. This morning I connected my guitar hero USB microphone into it and it worked using GarageBand !
I have not heard any distortions.... Is there anybody else out there that can also test this scenario ???
If you already have this mike, why pay more for another one that seems to do the same thing ??
Cheers,
Cyberjo

Was anyone able to get a singstar microphone to work with the camera connection kit? (i got it working with my windows computer.)

  • Polarioid pogo printer not working with ipad and iphone

And I can not believe how that truly *****... I am traveling through the states and bought the pogo to print on the road... Only to find out that it does not work with ipad and does not work with iphone... Unless I jailbreak my phone which I don't really want to do...
Apple wants us to go mobile and clouding and all those things, yet, when we do go mobile and try a mobile life style, we are encountering so much technical crap that we loose the will to live...
I could have spend the hundred dollar for the pogo to have pics printed out in every kiosk in the country...
WWhen is Apple going to come to its senses about little life savers like the pogo and bluetooth???????
Is anyone aware of a work around so I can print on the go? And a solution that does not involve a programmers brain because my single braincell is not working while traveling... It needs to be easy!

To cut through all the rage and anger and "knowing" who wanted what, the Pogo has been out for a year or so, well before Mr. Jobs' passing, and Apple did not make any mention of supporting printing on anything other than Airprint compatible printers.
Since Airprint is a Wi-Fi/ethernet thing, Polaroid would have to make a significant redesign to the Pogo.  Considering that the first iPhones only supported Bluetooth headsets and Apple didn't provide any indications about increasing Bluetooth support, Polaroid's decision for the Pogo to be Bluetooth was obviously not with iOS devices in mind.  This is why initially Polaroid had links on the FAQ to tell Apple to add Bluetooth printing support (so that in effect, asking Apple to pay for the expenses to make the iPhone compatible with the Pogo, rather than Polaroid paying to make the Pogo compatible with iOS.)
I come from a photograpic background.  I got the Pogo as soon as it came out.  I quite literally was on Polaroid's website every day checking to see when I could order it.  Having "instant" sticker prints is wonderful at family picnics with all the kids.  While it would be great to be able to get Pogo prints from anyone's iPhone, I stopped holding my breath when Apple announced Airprint, which came well after the Pogo was released.  So I took that as the sign that it was probably never going to happen.  (I knew that the Pogo wasn't iOS compatible when I bought it so not having compatiblity is not a deal-breaker for me.  But, yes, it would be nice.)
I now use a Polaroid Z340 since it's a 14 megapixel camera that prints larger 3x4 Zink prints.  Polaroid makes the GL10, which is basically a Pogo using the same printer as the Z340.  But it's still Bluetooth only.   So while I sympathize with the desire to have a really compact portable printer like the Pogo, iOS compatibility just does not seem to be on the horizon.  IMHO, it would be more realistic that Polaroid create an app to do Bluetooth printing.  But considering Polaroid's financial issues, I'm not holding my breath

  • Usb microphone connection with iPad

My Snowball microphone uses USB cable to record live music on my MacbookAir.  Can I use the mic with USB to record on iPad?

To clarify, the camera connection kit can theoretically support any USB microphone. However this accessory supplies very little power compared to a normal USB port, and some microphones are more power hungry than others. That's probably why Apple doesn't offically list this as a feature.
I have heard of people working around this issue by plugging the microphone into a powered USB hub, which can supply a lot more power, and then plugging the hub into the CCK.
One other note: when you plug the microphone into the CCK, an error will pop up saying "The connected USB device is not supported'. Ignore this. It pops up regardless of whether the microphone actually is supported.

  • Microsoft exchange no longer works with ipad and iphone

Have the new ipad and  iphone 4. Software 6.1.3.  Since two days email and calender are no longer synchronised and it is impossible to send email. We use microsoft exchange server and Outlook. Up till 2 days ago all worked perfectly and settings have not been changed.
Ipad and iphone have connection with the internet (wlan). On desktop PC and laptop email sending and receiving is no problem.
I did reset both without result.

I think part of this is on Apple's End. I found this article I hope you find it helpful to you and I will look more into it.

  • Is there a fingerprint reader available to work with iPad and iPhone?

I need to use fingerprint confirmation with iPhone and iPad. Are such devices available, either bluetooth or connected to available slots?

Yes I am using the backing track with the chart that has the melody on it.  I am able to use the backing track/iReal Pro while viewing it's corresponding chart in iGigBook so I have no need to associate a music format with that chart. My desire in switching between the two programs is to be able to view the iReal Pro after playing through the melody line once or twice using the iGigBook program (once back in the iReal Pro program I am able to keep track of the progress of the backing track) and then going back to the iGigBook chart to end the piece/last time through the head etc.

  • Airport express: no sound with iphone but works with ipad and mac

    Hello,
I have a problem with my airport express. With my iphone (5, ios8) i can connect to it but there is no sound when i play something. However, when i connect to it with my mac (mini, 10.9.5) or ipad (ios8), everything is fine. I tried restarting of all the devices, including the router, but it does not help. There is no problem with the iphone; streaming to apple tv works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this, or what could be the problem?

Did you resolve this I have the same problem with all my mobile devices iphone 5, ipad mini and ipod touch 5th Gen all wuiing latest software.  It also works fine with my PC and iTunes.
I have managed to get sound on the odd occasion for a few minutes but drops out, it also stops if I swap back to the mobile device and back to the airport express (this never works).

  • Why won't my airport express work with iPad and iPhone?

I have my internet line coming into the basement. Its been hardwired from the basement modem to an airport extreme upstairs, but we sleep in the basement and the wifi is bad. I have a 1st gen airport express. So my idea was to put the extreme down with the modem, and run the hardwire to the express upstairs. I did this and my laptops and iMac got the same signal as when the extreme was upstairs, but my iPad mini and iPhone only have two bars unless you stand 5 feet from the express. Macs get about 48mbps, iDevices about 20mbps. 15 feet away on the porch the iPad won't even pick up the signal. The apple store advised I put the extreme back upstairs, and the express downstairs wirelessly. They said the iDevices may have been ignoring the express and trying to get the signal from the extreme in the basement.
Is there any way to use the express and the extreme to get solid signals up and downstairs? My fear is apple once again boned me and wants me to buy a new express.

If it's the original b/g only model its model number will be A1084 or A1088. It appears in the red box as shown below:
To configure one of them requires an older version of AirPort Utility. Check its model number.
It should not be necessary to connect it to your Mac with an Ethernet cable. Connect it directly to the Extreme, "hard reset" it again if necessary, then launch AirPort Utility.
It should appear in your Mac's Wi-Fi menu as "New AirPort Express...". Select that and proceed to answer the questions.
The AirPort Utility setup page with the words "using Ethernet" is as shown:
Its appearance in AirPort Utility will show it connected to the Extreme with a solid (not dashed) line.

  • I need a Vietnamese keyboard. Recommendations? A keyboard that officially works with iPad and displays all the characters and their accent marks for typing.

Where do I find an excellent and reliable Vietnamese keyboard for new iPad? A keyboard that displays all the characters and the accent marks so typing can be easily accomplished. The iPad keyboard selection for Vietnamese really only seems to change the Return key to the Vietnamese language. iPad is sold all over the world....my interest is Viet Nam.....the full keyboard.

Thanks.....my Vietnamese expert spouse says this tip will work just fine.  I was not aware of the hold down function. Slow typing but accomplishes the objective native on the iPad.
You are correct.....most Apps that I find seem to be based only on a copy/paste method of input.
    You solved the problem.

  • Apple TV not working with iPad and airplay

  • Does Antares autotune and otherplug ins work with logic and garageband?

i'm thinking it does, but not sure

I think it just has to be an 'Audio Units' or AU type plugin. There is a pretty basic pitch correction plugin built into Logic Express. I was pretty impressed with it.

  • I like the idea of auto back-up for my new iMac, Ipad and PC Netbook, particularly if I can access all files and data stored on any device.  But I have a Conceptronic router.  Will Time Capsule work with this and how?

I like the idea of auto back-up for my new iMac, Ipad and PC Netbook, particularly if I can access all files and data stored on any device.  But I have a Conceptronic router.
    1. Will Time Capsule work with this and how?
    2. Can my printer USB be plugged in and then shared between the devices?
    3. Can I create a network and how?
    4.  What happend when a visitor logs onto my existing wireless router?
I'm new to Macs (well a returning user having started with Mac Plus!!) and not very technical.  Any help / advice will be much appreciated.
    Ray

The key to what you seem to want to do is to be able to get Apple's Time Capsule router to "join" the network that your Conceptronic router.  I believe that works with some third-party routers, but I've never seen a list of those that work in such a configuration and I have no experience with Conceptronic equipment.
You might be better off with a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device instead of a Time Capsule.

  • Apple tv mirroring doesn't work with ipad 2

Apple tv mirroring doesn't work with ipad 2 and last update achieved

you have to be sure that you have iOS 4.4 on your Apple TV. Apple pulled 4.4 due to problems and hasen't re-released it yet. the only way now is to hook it up to your computer with a micro USB cable and then in iTunes you should see your Apple TV and do a restore and it will then put 4.4 on the Apple TV but it will wipe out all your settings and you will have to do all that over again but mirroring will then work.
