PS4 CameraRaw permissions --- error/problem

I have recently installed Adobe CS4 (Master Col.) and I recently tried using Bridge to open my RAW files to convert to .tif files before working on them in PS. These are the steps i am doing and the results: I change the image to 16 bits/Channel in the Workflow Options, then I open the image and use the Save Image... button and change the file extension to .tif, change image name slightly and save.
I get the following: Camera Raw Save Status (window) which shows the original file name, the saved file name and status. Now the first 2 are what I expect, but the status is: There was a write permissions error.
I have searched and have not found a place to set file permissions. I am the only user of this laptop (MacBook Pro) and I am setup as administrator.
***I posted on the Apple Support forums first and was told to use Disk Utiliy to repair pernissions.***

Two places you have to look at the source directory (Folder or Volume) and the target directory (folder or volume you are saving to).
You Control or Right click on the directories icon and then go to File info. Then look towards the bottom of the Get Info dialog you will see Permissions and Ownership, expand that item and make certain everyone all accounts and users are read write.
Now it may be a directory at a higher level so you have to check those as well.

Also, before I could do anything in Terminal, I had to go change my admin password (it had been a blank password before and that's not acceptable for making changes in Terminal). I was just super careful when entering my password or doing anything else while Terminal was open (making sure I didn't accidently hit the spacebar or another key, etc.) And it fixed the problem right away.
What was confusing for me was that the iTunes error message said to change permissions in the FINDER, which is what I was trying to do. It didn't mention Terminal. What would really be helpful is if Apple included a link to a page like this in their error message.

Launch iTunes
select iTunes Store from the menu on the left side.
sign in via the link on the top right area if you haven't done so already
click the link where you Apple ID email appears, enter your Apple ID password, click View Account, this will take you to a page displaying detailed information about your Apple ID account.
The last item under Apple ID summary should be Computer Authorisations, click Deauthorize All
now reauthorize any computers as needed when the system prompts you.

I'll reload it tonight when I get home...basically, I bought a new iPhone and downloaded some new medical apps. also had to download an update for iTunes into my mac laptop so I could access iCloud (which was NOT on my prior iTunes software)
When I synched my new iPhone with the newly downloaded iTunes, I registered my iphone and tried to "back it up" to iCloud and the message indicating that "the required file was not found or has a permissions error...." popped up.

Read Only Permissions Error

Hi Guys
I have a major problem with file saving permissions
Current setup:
- 5 imac (10.6)
- 1 mac book pro (10.6)
- mac xserver
- Direct attached Raid Array
Issue:
When user "A" creates new files and folders to the shared drive on the raid array it automatically defaults to read only for all other users, and any time they try to add/delete/create files or folders in the fold user "A" created they get a permissions error. Therefor everybody else cannot edit the files
E.g. user A and user B quite often work on documents together and when user A stores it in the folder user A created then user B can only read it
has anybody come across this error before?
also i have tried changing permissions in get info as it defaults to read only soon as i change it to read and write and close the get info box it reverts back to read only ( the permissions group in called everybody)
Any help would be much appreciated

You can try propagating the permissions on the root of the share, new files should inherit permissions from the parent folder, if that doesn't help, maybe try something with the umask

OS 10.7.5 W' permissions repair problems. How to fix it?

I have a 27" iMac running os 10.7.5 and i'm having permissions repair problems ever since my last os update,does anyone know whats going on and how to fix it? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Something doesn’t sound right. The messages shouldn’t be ignored if you restart the Disk Utility app and the same permission errors show up. I’ve even rebooted the OS and found the same errors. I also mistrust the file check function (vs Drive Genius reports).
None of this ever happened until the last patch 10.7.5 (11G63).

Org.clamav.freshclam and permissions error on freshclam.log

This is an adjunct to a branched discussion in this thread regarding org.clamav.freshclam continually generating error reports in the system log.
After enabling, but not starting, Mail service on my server (XServe Dual-G5, 10.5.8 Server) my system log began filling with the error as per the referenced thread. The first entry when the error cropped up was:

Per the instructions in the referenced thread, I ran
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.clamav.freshclam.plist
I then used pico to edit the org.clamav.freshclamplist file, removing the space between the '-c' and value in the line:
<string>-c 4</string>
I also edited the /etc/freshclam.conf file to change the value:
#DatabaseMirror db.XY.clamav.net
to
DatabaseMirror db.us.clamav.net
I then ran
freshclam -v
followed by
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.clamav.freshclam.plist
Checking the log again, not only had the original error continued whilst I was editing, but also on the relaunch of freshclam a new error cropped up:

(Note: after the first 'Exited with exit code: 1' entry, it only repeated the last four lines as above as it respawned.)
Checking the ownership / permissions on the freshclam.log file showed that the owner/goup was _clamav:admin and the permisions were -rw-r----- which is proper and in line with the other clamav files in the directory. Thinking that perhaps the logfile was corrupted, I deleted it and made a new one, setting the owner, group and permissions as per the original. The log errors continued.
Finally, in desparation, I ran
chmod 660 /var/log/freshclam.log
setting the permissions to -rw-rw---- and the errors ceased!
Now, this is not proper file permissions nor does it explain why freshclam suddenly could not append the logfile, but freshclam is now happily churning away without generating continuous log error entries. For the moment, I am not going to argue with successful results!

interesting.. but I'm of the mind "If it ain't broke.." and it has been running without problem since applying the fix. I may end up having to migrate Mail services to a different server soon though, so I'll keep it in mind if the error crops up again. Thanks for the tip!

Since this is isolated to a single file, try exporting it to Interchange Format (.inx), then open and save the resulting file as a new InDesign file.
Since the problem occurs during export, that may not be possible. Another option to try would be to copy all elements, page by page, and "paste in place" into a new document the same size. If you used layers, be sure to enable "paste remembers layers" in the layers panel menu.
This kind of problem is often indicative of an underlying font issue. You said there are only three fonts, and you should verify that in Type > Find Font... Try replacing, at least temporarily the fonts in use with something else that you know to be reliable from other documents. You might want to do this before the other steps.

I have mine set to plug:plugequal as I use an equalizer with alsa, but when I set it to default it works fine, try that.
