PS4 Download speeds slowly getting back to normal
my download eta has dropped by 19 hours so it seems like the speeds are slowly getting back normal i seen 1 member say their hours dropped from 99+ to 4 so hopefully every1 will be back to normal very soon
yeah at the moment im getting just under 2 mps but it has climbed from about 100kbps so im not going to complain about that at the moment

Just bought brand new new iMac. When browsing in Safari, sometimes the text suddenly gets super large. I'm doing nothing except reading the screen, tho I usually have my hand resting lightly on the mouse. I can get back to normal size by clicking "actual size" in View. But then it does it again a minute or two later. What gives? Something seems defective--but what?
From System Preferences, Mouse, Point & Click, Secondary click. Go to it hover over Secondary click and watch the short video sequence change it left right, left right, you will see exactly what is does. No I do not think your Mouse is defective, you simply need to take control of your Mouse finger.

After upgrading to 10.7.2, my iMac works fine for 40-50 minutes, then slows to a crawl. Restart gets back to normal, then 40 minutes later need to restart again. Thought about reinstalling Lion through Lion Recovery, but won't let me, says my hard disk is locked? Any suggestions?
Launch the Terminal app in /Utilities/, run these two commands (copy & paste each one separately and hit the return key):
sudo chflags 0 /volumes/*
sudo chmod a+rx /volumes/*
at the Password: prompt, type in your admin password, carefully since nothing displays on the screen, and hit the return key. These should unlock your drives. You might have to restart. -
When I'm bouncing a project, it freezes or doesnt stop bouncing and keeps going past its cut off. how do i make it stop and get back to normal?

Apart from the "Include Audio Tail" function, which can leave Logic bouncing for a very, very long time, there are generally, no discrepancies regarding the Bounce Locators:

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

Apple TV was installed and functional until power outage. Now I am stuck on Computers and Settings Icons and cannot get back to normal operation. Can get to settings which I have tried many times. Any thoughts?
Happened once to me also following a nasty storm
One of the 2 things worked for me (can't recall which):
1. Power down everything. UNPLUG your apple TV and whatever it's connected to, including the power cord and the HDMI cable (disconnect at both ends) Wait a minute or two.
Reconnect everything: Restart.
2. Totally Reset the Apple TV (this is more work since you'll need to add all your settings)
Whatever worked: My Apple TV resurrected itself (unfortunately can't say the same for my DVD player).
3. Lastly, the timing of the storm could be a cooincidence - this happened to someone else here (no storm invoived) and it turned out to be a temporary outage at Apple. see this: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18027331#18027331
For the future, if you've grown paranoid...
I always unplug my computer for heavy storms (on the advice of a techie at power protection company), But These days, if a storm is really severe (or very extended) I also unplug my AV equipment. the The ATV is chump change compared to the cost of my other components - but I've grown really dependant on it.
Remember: Surge suppressors will take the first hit, but often that's it, their circuitry can then get blown. Also if you do unplug power, Unplug power for everything (very easy by connecting everything to a Surge suppressor) just don't forget RF Cables or ethernet cables (If you leave your router connected).
Personally, I leave my router on, and am willing to rebuy if neccessary, in order to at least access my laptops, and iPad. BUT this means I have to unplug the ethernet cables.
Good luck, doubt your ATV is toasted if anything comes up. -
After applying update my apple tv2 will randomly go to a black screen that lasts for a few seconds. When it gets back to normal after a few seconds it acts like the video never stopped since its farther along in the timeline. This happens with all video content wether its from Netflix or streaming from my iTunes library
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for a 30 seconds. If that doesn't help try using another HDMI cable.

MAC MINI (Mid 2011)

While I were using mac mini for a while, the external display (LG_22MP55) has been getting dark and getting back to normal.
Did it enter into idle mode?
Anywhere I can find, can't find the related options to turn it off or adjust it.
Even adjusting "Never" for both "computer sleep" and "display sleep" can happen this annoying situation.
Beside, I have tried to connect iphone5S to external display (LG_22MP55) and double check LD will not enter into idle mode itself.
So, I guess this situation was happened by MAC mini.When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

I got the ps4 2 days ago and I'm downloading games... But the speed is too low while using wired and wifi and in my PC it's fast I downloaded 40gb in 12hrs... While in ps4 It takes over 6hrs for 3 GB.. I need help to make it faster

However the problem is most definitely the PSN network, Steam works like a bomb on my side as do other sites from which I download, not problems any time of the day or night. I have no idea actually...just seems to be in PSN court to me since it is only prevalent from their network. I don't know if you use Steam as well...but the fantastic thing with them is that should your file become corrupted....you don't have to redownload the entire install file...you simply click for it to verify the file...it takes literally a few seconds...it then locates the corrupted files and fixes them!!!! This is just a fantastic service and you know they are taking their customers bandwidth usage seriously. PSN.....I truly hope you read this. Rather put some man power and time into a benefical service like this...than window dressing the store front. Talking about Store front changes...its the 18th here in SA and the store still looks the same to me???
The problem is certainly your set-up or ISP traffic shaping. A file of 30MB never take's no more 30 to 60 second's for me regardless what time of day it is. Read-only system - how to get back to normal ?
Two days ago, while I was trying to transfer data to an external hard-disk, my 12" iBook G4 suddenly turned down with no particular reason, and I cannot start it properly any longer.
As I have absolutely no technical knowledge, I have no clue what to do, and I hope I can get some valuable advice on this Forum.
I need this iBook - and most of all I do urgently need some data it contains -
but I am at the moment in Cambodia - where I could not find any Apple dealer up to now, except for iPod (probably not always original ones), which doesn't exactly make things easier...
This is what happens when I try to start the iBook:
at the begining, everything seems quite normal...Apple logo shows up, then this rotating thing for a short time...after that the screen turns black, leaving only on the left upper corner in white script the mention :/ root # or :/ root#.
It looks very much like on some computer screens I saw about 20 years ago, maybe with a slightly better quality.
Then there is not very much else to do, except that you can get the mention "Display all 872 possibilities? (y or no)" by pushing the Tab key for about 3 or 4 seconds.
If you agree, you get a list of many things (could be 872), which appear to be mostly function or system checks...all in the same white script on the black screen...some of these checks or things work, some don't...the iBook even gives the reason why some are not working: precisely because they cannot be shown in what is called "read-only system"...now, my problem is that I don't want this read-only system, as it is of absolutely no use to me, and I cannot read any information fom my HD that I need very urgently (and certainly before I go to a country where they have Apple dealers).
I have no idea if this is a common problem, I don't even know how serious it is.
The only thing I know for sure is that the iBook obviously is still living at the moment, but it is not working the way I need it to work.
I tried to restart it numerous times, including by using the Install disk, but nothing helps...maybe the problem there is that the iBook is not understanding I want it to use the Install CD as the starting disk, but I don't know how I can make me understood as long as the screen only shows this white script...
Anyway, I have no clue what to do, and I am hoping I can get some good advice on how to act before going to some PC dealer (it is already annoying enough that I have to use a PC in order to try to find out how to make my Apple product work properly).

You don't say what operating system you are running, is it 10.3.x or 10.4.x?
If it is 10.3, then put the #1 CD in the computer, restart it and hold down the C key while it boots up.
When the installer window comes up, click on apple menu and select disk utility.
When that window opens, select your hard drive (rather than the CD) and click on repair hard drive.
When it is finished, quit disk utility and restart the computer. As it is restarting, you can hold down the F12 key to eject the CD. You should be back to normal. If it was a firewire drive you were copying data to, you might have lost the data if you didn't get to eject the disk before you lost access to it.
+You can and should repair the external drive you were copying data to also, although you can do that from the disk utility (in the Utility folder inside the Application folder) while booted from your laptop, in addition to doing it while booted from the #1 installer CD.+
You should continue making the backup of your data as soon as you get access to it, as you could be headed for a very unhappy situation if your hard drive crashes before you back it up. If you haven't lost a hard drive yet, you will. Everyone will at some time in their computing lifetime. Don't let it ruin your life, back it up now! -
Need to get back the normal editor which is used in 46c
We use function module "EDIT_TEXT_INLINE" to input the comments by calling the normal editor. Since ECC6.0 implementation on our system became dam slow as it is calling the "Graphical PC editor". Can you please advise to get back the editor which is used in 46c?

Sorry for my wrong interpretation.
Do you mean, you want SAP Script Editor as Graphical Form Painter than Graphical PC Editor, as it was earlier.
If yes, then, in SE71 goto -
Settings -> Form Painter -> SAP script Tab -> Form Painter Tab
Just Click checkbox for Graphical Form Painter and uncheck Graphical PC Editor, save it. Unchecking Graphical PC Editor would turn-off MS Word as Editor.

How do i get a website to get back to normal size after its been enlarged and its only one website ?
while on youtube the website enlarged and wasn't the same normal size afterwards and this only happened to this website and i've tried everyhing but cant seem to get it to go back to normal size and its bothering.
It's easy to accidentally zoom a website larger or smaller using the scroll wheel, if you happen to be holding the Ctrl key down.
To reset zoom back to the default level, you can use either:
* Ctrl+0 (that's a zero)
* View menu > Zoom > Reset

Internet download speed slows to 20% of normal every night at about 8:30 P.M. Pacific Time
My internet download speed, which averages just over 5 Mb/s most of the day, slows to about 1 Mb/s every night at about 8:30-9:00 P.M. Pacific Time and lasts for a few hours. It is consistent and constant so random equipment or line problems are unlikely. I've saved the results of my speed tests (speedtest.net) as to evidence the problem and posted them below.

Have you tried asking Verizon to change the circuit or edge router your DSL line connects to, in order to solve the problem? Often times there seems to be an imbalance in how circuits are loaded on Verizon's DSL network. It's a rather typical experience for a shared medium (such as DSL, Cable) but steps can be taken to try and balance off load periodically. Verizon should have some free circuits available that will allow you to reach your speeds during the night time hours.
