PS5 Crashes in 32-bit Mode When Certain Actions Are run

Running PS5 under OS 10.6.3 on a dual quad core intel machine w/14GB of ram, files are stored on an internal drive. Some actions will crash photoshop in 32-bit mode but not 64-bit. Is there anything that I can do to track down the problem and fix it?

The next time PS crashes with an action we will get the crash report to send to you along with the action.
The actions in question do not call on any third party plugin-ins.

Mail.app crashes when certain messages are selected

I recently migrated a user from OS X 10.4 to 10.5. When we run Mail.app, it will crash when certain messages are clicked.
I've tried everything I could to get the mail in in a different way -- importing it in different ways, deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist, and re-importing, etc.
It certainly seems that the problem is tied to the individual message, as clicking on a certain message, even if it is in different folders (because of the way it was imported) causes the crash.
Most of the dozen-or-so crash logs start like this:

My guess, the email(s) are from windos users?
I had this problem, until I switched to thunderbird. A few people, using a version (don't remember the version number) of outlook/outlook express, would send multimedia attachments.
As soon as I would select the email, Mail would crash.
I would copy the offending email to a folder with no other contents, and then open it up with TextEdit, to view the non-attachment portion.

Not all plugins support 64 bit and if not then you need to start Firefox in 32 bit mode to use that plugin.

# Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
# Select "Get Info"
# Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
# Close the "Firefox Info" window
# Restart Firefox

Phone reboots when certain songs are played on the music app?

on my iphone 5c, if i try playing certain songs in my music app, they play for a few seconds and then my entire phone reboots. i have a lot of music on my phone and all of the songs that do this are from the same album. it also didn't start doing this until after i updates to ios 8. i've tried looking elsewhere to see if someone else has had this problem but i've come up empty. its really inconvenient because i can't even listen to those songs now. i've also noticed that its only when i have headphones or an auxiliary cord plugged into my phone.

If you are having issues with your restarting when certain songs are played through headphones, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

Hello Veronica,
Negotiation Phase is only for Quotes - it does not apply to Sales orders. You need to create a Defaulting Condition template similar to that called 'In Fulfilment Phase' for Sales orders.
Here are the details:
(1) Navigate to Setup >> Rules >> Search for Application='Order Management' and Entity = 'Order Header' >> Once the rules appear click on 'Defaulting Condition template' >> Under 'In Negotiation Phase' create another Validaton template named 'In Fulfillment Phase' >> Enter any Group# >>Under Validation Rules, Select Attribute as 'Transaction Phase' >> Mark it '=' 'Fulfillment' >> Save
(2) Click Tools (top menu option) >> Generate Defaulting Handler package (you can also run the conc program)
(3) Go to the Ordered Date defaulting rule and do as I had mentioned below.

I just bought an iPhone 5 on the 21st of March. I ate through 850 MB's in 12 days. I read up on the issue of data consumption looking for tips to conserve data. I did not know there was a problem.
This morning I found out that I was leaking data very little, but daily it accumulates. I am in Barcelona, Spain. I do not have a contract, I am on a prepaid Yoigo carrier.
I happened upon an article/blog by Robert Parks at snnyc.com "problems persist in ios 6.1.2.".
Although his situation did not relate to me, I tried a few tests on my own to see if I could stop the data leak without turning off my celular data and possibly push notifications, I think I found a solution that might help someone:
In ios 6.1.3 goto Settings/Mail, Contacts,Calenders and scroll down to Calendars and turn off " New Invitation Alerts" and also turn off "Shared Calendar Alerts".
My Cellular Network Data seems to be behaving. I only see a change in MB used when I open an ap that uses data.

Lightroom 2 crashes in 64 bit Mode, Java Utilities, too

Hi,
I try to run Lightroom 2 with 64 bit on my MacPro(3.0, 6 GB; 10.5.5) 1.Gen.
It crashes everytime when I test it with my admin account.
No problem while running the program in the 32 bit mode.
The java utilities crashes too in both modes with different reports.
Any idea?

Hi Frank;
If a new account works and your old one doesn't this usually indicates that the problem is something wrong with your preferences. This can usually be fixed by going through and eliminating the plist files one at a time until you find the guilty party.

Firefox crashes, even in safe mode, when I try to add attachments in Yahoo mail -- running Mac OSX 10.4.11, FF 3.6.16.

Firefox has consistently crashed when adding attachments in Yahoo mail. For a while Firefox would crash immediately when I clicked "attach." Then, for a while it would allow me to upload files if they were located in a folder that the Yahoo mail application opened when I clicked "attach," but if I tried to navigate to a different folder, I would crash when I clicked on the root user folder. I then updated Flash and tried Firefox in safe mode, and now Firefox (in safe mode or not) is again crashing as soon as I click attach in Yahoo mail. My system is as above, Mac OSX Tiger (10.4.11) on an original Mac Pro, all stock parts (I had added some aftermarket RAM but removed it some time ago, before these crashes started). Firefox does NOT generate a crash report dialog when I restart.

can't make much of this crash log but try this. when you get to the smtp server page in setup assistant hold option while clicking "create" or 'continue". this will skip the actual server validation and might prevent crashing.

I'm using up-to-date Ubuntu Linux, other details below.
Firefox crashes, in or out of safe mode, when I do any of the following:
* right click (crashes on-click);
* view flash media (crashes once plugin container opens);
* try to use any of the file/edit etc menus (crashes when i click somewhere in this area);
* open about:tabs or about:config (crashes when i hit enter after typing into url bar);
* when i try to edit anything in about:config (crashes when i right-click);
* open any bookmark from my bookmarks toolbar (on-click).
In case it's related, thunderbird crashes soon after startup, i.e. once the GUI has opened and it starts checking my IMAP folders for mail.
It appears that for most purposes firefox will work indefinitely unless I do something I've mentioned above.
The extensions I run include X-marks and downthemall, but there may be more - I don't appear to be able to check without crashing the program.

Unfortunately the linked crash report is empty (@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump) and doesn't include any data, so it is not possible to find the cause of the crash.

Run in 64-bit mode when using 32 bit plug-ins?

I have noticed that when I open a project that uses Komplete 7 Elements, a 32-bit bridge utility loads and an error message indicating that the file could not be opened pops up. However, the file project does open. My question is this: Does using 32-bit plug-ins affect performance when Logic runs in 64-bit mode?

I've seen solutions to this error, to the effect of, copy the old file from a previous version, but I don't have that luxury... I installed from the Mac App Store, onto OS 10.6.6. If i switch to 32-bit mode, it works, but I'd rather work in 64-bits if it's speedier.

It´s very simple: some videos will not work on 64 bit mode, they require 32 bit modes. How do I switch back and forth?

Is that uploader using the Silverlight plugin?
If that is the case then that plugin may require Firefox 32 bit mode. On Mac 10.6 Firefox 4 run as a 64 bit application by default and not all plugins support 64 bit mode.
Control-click the Firefox.app icon, select "Get Info", and then check the box, "Open in 32-bit mode"
