Yes, I've seen in the past users have issues to perform a correct download manage to do it using another browser, it might be worth trying.

I need again help regarding this issue. Sometimes but very often I receive an error, trying to save a PSD file, the error is: "The file can not be saved in <path> because an error has occurred". After that it is not possible to save the file in any format, using save or save in dialog. The only way to rescue the result is, to save for web as an jpeg. This error occours often using Topaz or NIK filter and until now only in PS-CC 2014. My workflow looks like this:
- Open NEF RAW file in Brdige
- Settings in ACR and give it into PS by clicking OK in ACR
- In PS doing a adjust some levels
- press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
- Uing Topaz Adjust on the new level with 65% opacity
- press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
- Using Topaz DeNoise on the new layer
- pres STRG+i and resize the image to 1200x797
- Using Topaz InFocus on the same layer as DeNoise
- create a vignette with brightness adjustlayer
After this workflow in nearly 90% it is not possible to save the file as PSD or something else, only to save for web as JPG. If I save the file after opening the RAW in PS and after every layer with Topaz Filter, I can save the file when I am done. Same issue occurs using NIK Filters in that way.
I tried to optimize the performance by using this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-performance-photoshop-cs4-cs5.html doesn’t solve the issue.
I re- and installed all Adobe Products more than three times, doesn't solve the issu.
After that I ordered a new SSD drive and insall Windows 7 64bit inkl. All latest hotfixes, patches and drivers. I downloaded the newest Adobe Versions and the newest filter sets from Topaz and NIK. Doesn’t solve the issue.
This is my rig:
Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H mainboard
Intel Core i7 4770k
32GB Corsair RAM
250GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD Drive
nVidia Geforce GTX770
During my tests I took the same RAW File and created nearly 20 adjustment layers and summary layers, without using Topaz or NIK filters. No problem, I was able to save the file as PSD file.
From my point of view, actually, the error occurs only when I am using Topaz or NIK filters. Both supports doesn’t know the issue and if I search the web, I can’t find more then me. It seemed to depend on my settings, my rig or something else, perhaps a cache is overflowed or something like this. Adobe telephone support can’t help because I said I use a third party filter. But it occurs with two different manufactures…
So please guys, help me to figure out why this error occurs in my system.

Update: I tried several times to reproduce the error, actually it dosen't occur. I changed nothing on my system, without reboot it twice. This is what I said in my beginning times: it occurs sometimes but often. I will keep you up to date.

Upgraded to version 7.3 - Library file can not be saved - Unknown Error-50

I upgraded to version 7.3 and now I get a pop up error message that says the I Tunes library file can not be saved. The program reports an unknown error occurred (-50). The Pop up error message comes up every minute or so or any time I click on any item in ITunes.
I tried to contact Itunes and they sent me a link to this forum. Can someone please tell what to do to fix this problem or how to reach a real person at Itunes tech support?
I am running Windows XP.

Many ppl are having this problem (myself included). I finally had to downgrade to 7.2 from a backup I had made earlier. 7.2, so far, hasn't caused me any problems so I'm waiting for 7.3.1.

Although some of the following will be a repeat but try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
Click to view full size
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

When electronics get emersed in liquid, it's not the actual water that causes them to break (although if you spilled something like coke with a bunch of sugar, the sugar would stay in the device even after the liquid of the coke dissolved). What breaks the device is if either it was on when it was emersed in water, or if you turn it on before all the water can evaporate. If so, the water will conduct the electricity between the wires and short circuit the device. If you weren't thick enough to try and turn your device on immediately after you took it out of the washing machine, then it should be fine if you just let the water evaporate. Another technique (to make the water evaporate faster and, on rare occassions, to save a device if you've turned if on while there was still water in it) is to put the device in rice and let it sit overnight. After the update into itunes crash, I've done all the uninstalling of all suggested Apple items. I have checked and double checked they are gone. I have rebooted. At reinstall I got itunes64setup_exe - this file couldnt be downloaded. Now what??

File can not be saved

Hello. I recently moved my Logic Project files to an external drive. When I try to save them, or save as, Logic errors with "the file [xxx] can not be saved". It will still save on my main hard drive if I change the save location. The external drive is set for ownership to be ignored, but it seems like there is some permissions issue here. Anyone come across this? Thanks.

Having problems updating to itunes 11.1 as soon as i click save it keeps saying file can't be saved or summet like that.

I have installed the latest apple update but when trying to install itunes 11.1 im having the same problems as alot of people are !! all it says when i click save is file couldn't be saved. I can't play my songs on my computer because the original files can't be found. I can, however, play them on my ipod. I tried to re-download my purchases but itunes won't allow me to do so. What can I do to retrieve my music files on my computer?

If you still have the 'pointers' to the tracks on your computer's iTunes (even if the files themselves aren't on there) then it won't let you re-download them as it assumes that they are still there - if you delete the 'pointers' then you should be able to copy your Apple purchases back from the iPod via File > Transfer Purchases, and depending on which country that you are in you might also be able to re-download them for free. For music bought from other sources or copied from CDs you will either need to copy them back onto your computer from a backup, or you need to get a third-party program that can copy them off the iPod

Saving the domain file in iWeb fails. I have tried deleting the cache. I see that the file uploads to iWeb but the message is that the domain.sites2 file can't be saved. I note that duplicating the domain gives me different size files. Ideas?

I have read other discussions and my problem persists.
I note that duplicating the domain file user/library/applications support/iweb/domain.sites2 gives me files of varying sizes (I'm at around 200Mb).
I tried rebuilding the cache ../library/caches/com.apple.iweb - no change
I found a note to delete also a preference file ../library/prefernces/com.apple.iweb bt found more than one (.../plist and .../plist.lockfile) so ducked that.
The website seems to update out of sync - as if I have a domain file elsewhere (in the cloud?) that is saving on my drive later - that doesn't make sense of the comments I have read. My domain.sites2 file is stadily growing - so one interpretation is that files are being saved and the error message is the error.
This has been a problem for about a year as I have tried many alternative solutions. I;m looking fro somethign substantially different.
One repeated situation is that I write a new page and upload it. I get the usual error message. I visit the site and there is the new page. My domain (on my machine) shows no new work, so I copy the stuff on the web back to my domain and steadily the file increases in size. Bewildering.
Everything is as up to date as it can be. I don't reboot very often as my machine is rarley off.
I'm looking for different ideas and approaches.....

Corrupt Damaged Muse file- Can it be saved?

I have a damaged, corrupt muse file and was wondering if it can be saved? It was fine yesterday but since restarting my computer and upgrading to Yosemite it says that it is damaged.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please send use the .muse file and the MuseLog.txt file from the Documents folder of all computers that have been used to edit the file along with a link to this thread for context. If the file is larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (If you use a service, please include your return e-mail address in the body of the message, since no all services include it in the sharing invite they send.)
