Psa data error

hi
while trying to load data to infocube ..i am getting errors .it is showing errors in PSA undefined characteristics found for the characteristic 0incoterms..it is entered as hamm.
in place of hammenburg. how to correct the record.
not only hamm all the characteristics in 0incoterm are found error.
it is giving the messagehexadecimal characteristic found in the 0incoterm field..
please tell the solution

Hi,
There are 2 basic solutions
1. In the maintenance screen of the infoobject, click the checkbox for lower case letters
2. using transaction RSKC you can enter the unpermitted characters.
3. Also Unpermited char can be made permited by tcode RSRV
4. you can correct the data manually in PSA or write logic to correct the data in update rule

I am getting one differnt error when tried to see PSA data in production system. When clicked on PSA and selected request to see data it gives following eoor screen

I am not able to understand why is it happening so? I am able to see data for some other data source requests but not the requests for this data source.
Can anybody help in knowing what could be the issue.
Any help would be appreciated by points.

Hi,
did you change your transfer structure recently? Did you add, remove a field from your transfer structure?
Check in table RSTSODS; enter your ISource name with a * at the end and check if you have a recent new version with the date from and date to 01.01.9999.
In ODSNAME_TECH you have the name of the corresponding transparent table (/BIC/B*); Goto SE11 with this name and verify that the table is well active and that you can display data.
Finally check this note although it is quite old...

I want to validate infocube data by comparing it with PSA data, for that i went through PSA via context menu. After that i generated export datasource. Then i am not able to find PSA Export datasource? where can i find that..

The problem is that I have the following error when i activate the transfer rules after aggregating the infoobjet 0TCTREQUID and don´t know how to resolve it:
" IDoc segment /BIC/CICA7ZBW_RECEP_DI could not be assigned to IDoc ZSCA002
Message no. RSAR240
Diagnosis
The transfer structure is assigned to IDoc ZSCA002 as an IDoc segment for the data transfer between source system and Business Information Warehouse.
This assignment failed.
System response
IDoc segment /BIC/CICA7ZBW_RECEP_DI not known to IDoc V2&. Therefore, no data import can take place from the source system for this InfoSource."
Any idea of what could have happend?

How to Edit PSA Data

Hi
in our daily delta load of 0SD_C03 cube, The delta for 2LIS_13_VDHDR failed to update the infocube. The data is in the PSA with 1 incorrect record.
When I go to edit this particilar record I'm getting an error "Request cannot be changed (see long text)". The error message is Time conversion from 0CALDAY to 0FISCPER (fiscal year C2 ) failed with value 22001129". I want to change the value from "22001129" to "20051129". But system wold not allow me to do it.
How can I edit the PSA data? Do I have to run delta again?
This failed delta I have 865 records. If I run delta again will it capture these 865 records too?

Hi Sampath,
To edit your PSA Request, first you have to Delete the Red Request from the InfoProvider.In the Monitor select the failed request -> Click On Manage Datatargets Icon,
It will take you to the Datatarget Manage Screen Goto -> Requests tab ->Select the Request whisch was failed and Click On Delete.Once the Request is Deleted Go back to the Monitor screen ,Click On PSA Icon there Correct the Error Record ,Save the PSA Data and Come back to Monitor screen. Goto -> Details Tab of MOnitor Screen Right click on Datapackage node and select Manual Update.

I have an External Hard Disk i have partitioned it to 4 parts.
One drive is now inaccessible due to sudden power failure while listening Music from that drive few days ago.
Now it shows "Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)".
I tried all the procedures provided here like
chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

Stale data error while opening a multiple OAF page .

Dear Friends ,
I have a OAF page developed and deployed in server , its basically a search page , it also has several links to
go to create page and update page . when the user opens the multiple page using different tabs in the browser
like for example
ex :
from search page click on create page open it as new tab . if such multiple table are being opened
and do some operation like search a record , it gives and error (stale data : Developer's mode exception ) .
How to over come this exception , could you please share you ideas

Stale data error while deleting a record

My design of this development is as follow...
1. Search Page in which users give some search criteria and results will be displayed in the results region on the same page. For each results record I have two buttons like 'Update' and 'Delete' so that users can delete the record or can update the record. For update i created a one more page where users can able to edit and save the data. I have two AM one for Search Page and one for Update Page.

Suppose I have one record in interface table with corresponding error record in error table.When users given the search criteria and hit enter they found a record. It means i have one record in the interface having one error record in the error table and both tables have same transaction id (primary key). So here user first try to update the record and it is working. After update he try to delete a record then I am getting below error. Please note that I am not getting this error when if i directly delete the record with out doing any update before delete. When ever users click on update icon then update PG will open and when users click on Apply button then data is getting updated in the database and page will forward to the search page.
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) when installing windows xp..

hi guys.. i'm new here.. just switched to macdom a few days ago but unfortunately, i have been having problems trying to install windows xp with sp 2 on my system using boot camp. everytime i install it, i get to the setup screen ("39 minutes till setup rah rah rah", "windows xp is awesome because it has this cool interface etc... rah rah rah") and then the error of doom comes out -_-
the error given is;
an eror has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing
one of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed
data error (cyclic redundancy check)
if you are installing from a cd, there might be a problem with the disc; try cleaning the disc or using another disc
if you are installing from the network, it is possible that not all of the files were copied correctly to your disk drive. run the disk checking utility on your installation drive from the recovery console and start setup again

I guess there is a problem with your XP CD, probably scratched or did not burn successfully. Have you tried it with another installation cd?

Extract PSA Data to a Flat File

Hello,
I would like to download PSA data into a flat file, so I can load it into SQL Server and run SQL statements on it for analysis purposes. I have tried creating a PSA export datasource; however, I can find way to cleanly get the data into a flat structure for analysis and/or download.
Can anyone suggest options for doing this?

Hi Sonya,
In teh PSA screen try pressing Shift and F8. If this does not bring up the file types then you can try the following: Settings > Chnage Display Variants > View tab > Microsoft Excel > Click SAP_OM.xls and then the green check amrk. The data will be displayed in excel format which you can save to your PC.

Stale data error while submitting the form(before that opening the popup )

I am using OAURL to open a pop-up in my oaf page
passing my page to this class.And at the time of loading the base page
the pop up window url is like this

now i click on the link to open the pop-up
its opening the pop-up.
Closing that pop-up.
Saving the details entered in the base page.
Now it is executing again from the processRequest() of base page
now the URL like this...

Now i am getting stale data error
The number of displayed records, 2, exceeds the actual number of records, 1, in view object SampleAM.SampleVO1. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.
Here i am observing that the parameter OAPC is different in these two URLs.
can you please tell me how to come out of this error while i am submitting the base page.

How to catch date errors and continue processing in a PL/SQL procedure

I'm updating a date field with dates constructed from day, month and year fields. The incoming data has many instances of day and month that are not valid dates, ex 11 31 2007. There is no 31st day in November.
I would like to write a pl/sql script to scan the table containing these values and log the rows that produce conversion errors.
I thought I could do this with exceptions but there are no exceptions that correspond to the ORA-01847 error for mismatched day and month.
Here is what I tried (the print procedure is a local wrapper for DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line):

There are lots of different error messages associated with bad dates. Rather than try to catch them all, I use a BEGIN ... EXCEPTION block that contains nothing but a TO_DATE call. This is one of the rare occassions when I think "EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS" is okay,

How to delete all the PSA data in one go

Hello Guys,
I want to clear all the data from all the PSA tables at one shot, how can i do this??
I have tried following things:
1) I have gone to PSA root node and right click and then clicked on delete PSA data, but its showing me all the datasources and when i am executing that, it is deleting one by one(that i means i need to select individual datasource, which i do not want).
2) Above specified step runs RSPSADEL1 in background , so i doubt whether it deletes psa data only or complete Table?
3)I got the info from other posts that there is a fm which is RSATREE_PSA_DELETE_BATCH, but i need to make myself clear whether this fm deletes only data or complete Table?
I am using sap-bw 3.5.

Hi,
there is one easy way to delete data from PSA .You can create a process chain have one delete data from PSA step where you need to give PSA table name and request older than (no of days before which you want to delete data ).
Execute it and it will delete all the data before specified no of days .You can add multiple PSA tables here and can delete whole data in one go .

How do I view Migrate Data errors - Access 2003 - Oracle 10g

I'm trying to use the SQL Developer to migrate data from an Access 2003 database to an Oracle 10g database. I followed the instructions found here:

I was able to complete every step except the actual data move. I exported the xml for the Access database, I captured the export and then ran the generation scripts on my target Oracle database (I'm using the same schema for the migration repository and the actual data). It created the tables with only one or two errors which I resolved.
Now, when I select Migration->Migrate Data, I get the dialog that appears to start 4 or 5 threads and attempts to migrate each table. They all error and do not transfer any rows. I can see that there's one error per table, but I can't see the error text. I just know that an error occurred. Is there a log somewhere or is the error displayed somewhere else? How do I know what's gone wrong?

I too receive unexplained error counts using the Migrate Data menu selection and unexplained failures using the Generate Data Move Scripts menu selection. Permissions granted by role or direct grants should not be a problem, but a Migrate Data error appears in the Migration Log panel at the bottom of the SQL Developer window, "Failed to disable constraints: ORA-00942 ... ". No further details available on what constraints or why the error. No other errors were detected while following the instructions found in the Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench Getting Started guide. SQL Developer never migrates the data from the existing Access 2000 mdb file to the newly created schema objects in Oracle 10g using either method. Operating system for both Access 2000 and Oracle 10g is Windows XP PRO SP2.
Oracle SQL Developer is version 1.1.2.25 build MAIN-25.79 on Windows XP PRO SP2. All three are on the same PC.
Since only the last step failed, I created a User DSN with the ODBC administrator. Then, linked the newly created Oracle table to Access via ODBC using the DSN created. Next, I created an append query with the source being the Access table and the target being the Oracle table. I moved the data by pressing the red exclamation mark.
