PSA load

Hi Gurus,
I am loading data from R/3 to PSA using InfoPack with Full Load by giving range in the selection. It showing  all the records in Monitor i.e X from X,but it is still Yellow. It saying in the status tab there are no errors. But I check in the details Tab--->Processing:warning received--->processing end :missing messages.
I found that some of DataPackets didn't recieve the records in PSA and Showing Zero Records. There are the records in Inbound but there are not coming in to PSA.The message is like above i.e Missing messages.
What could be the reason.Any inputs are appreciatable and awarded.
Thanks,
Suryam

Hi Harish,
Thank you for the reply.I didn't find anything in SM58(Transactional RFC).But I found some messages in Environment form menu-->Transactional RFC-->in the Source System. They are messages like SQL error in the database when accessing Table .
How can I overcome this error? Please through some light.
Thanks,
Suryam.

  • PSA load remains in yellow status.

    Hi Gurus,
I have created a generic datasource based  on function module.
I have replicated the datasource in  SAP BI dev instance.
I have even checked the extractor checker in R/3 and it shows 381 records.
On BI side I am loading data upto PSA.When I execute the infopackage for full load in the monitor screen I could see
"381 out of 0 records".The request remains in yellow status.
The idoc status in source system side is 03 and on BI side is 53.
I dont get any error message.Even I am not seeing idocs with red status in SM58 tcode. No logs are seen in sm21.
I even asked the basis team to check for RFC connection SM59 and partner profile.Every thing looks fine .
This loading issue is only happening with this specific datasource(ie datasource created on function module).
For other datasources load are carried out fine.
Has anybody faced a similar issue?.Please help in this regard.

seems the load is hung bcoz of thehung IDOCs.
    Process the idocs manually. after
    check the below things
--> Check weather the source system job finished or not?
If the job is finished check the TRFCs are processed or not?
In the monitor screen - menu bar --environment -->job overview (to check the job) -->TRFcs - to check the TRFCs.
Check for short dumps using transaction ST22.
-->Check for the Idocs in BD87 and if there are any IDOCs got stuck process them manually.
To process Idocs first change the status of request to red and try to process them in the background.

  • Error in PSA load

    hi all experts ,
    I am new in BI.
When I am lodaing data from SRM to PSA through data source 0BBP_MS_0COSTCENTER_TEXT then I am getting this error.
Error message from the source system
    Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
    System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
    Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
    Refer to the error message.
    Procedure
How you remove the error depends on the error message.
    Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.
    I had replicated Data Source.
    Extractor is working fine.
In details it gives the error
"Error occurred in the data selection "
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Avenai,
Caller 09 is a very generalised group of errors. Request you to preliminaryily check this-
    1. DataSoure in R/3
    2. Connection to the source system
    3. Transformation/Update Rule
    4. Dumps in ST22 after the failure of the load. (This will give a very clear idea)
    5. Try building an InfoPackage with 'Till PSA' as the loading option
    6. Try to understand in detail the job log (SM37) by running the load in background.
The above will help you IDENTIFY the issue and hence will bring you closer to the resolution of the same.
    Hope this helps!

  • ABAP Program Name CHanging the PSA Load status

    Hi,
Our Scenario is Non-SAP -> PI -> BI.
Every Day PI reads the file from source and it will directly upload to PSA in BI.But in PSA the status will show as yellow only it is not turning to green. But I am able to see the data in PSA but status is yellow.
When we activate the Data source manually the load status is turning to green.
I heared there is an ABAP Program to change the status. If anybody knows pl provide me the details.
    Regards
    Ram.

    Hi Ramakanth,
Yes, that right. I have mistaken here because our pos dispatcher pumps data source every 15 mins thats why its in yellow status. I am sorry about that.
Usually there are some reasons why the PSA in yellow.
    1. If the data is being loaded from PSA to data target, it will be in yellow
    2. If the data is loaded into PSA then it will be in yellow
    3. If we make any changes in the PSA for example deleting few records in psa and then added and transferred records doenst match then it will be yellow. In this case we have to manually change the status.
In your case I am not sure y its not getting into green once is done. We never had any issue. Pos dispatcher runs and uploads the data into PSA and then we upload into targets.
    Thanks
    Srikanth

  • PSA load failed

The data source is a table in Q. After we did source system mapping (RSLGMP - Maintain RSLOGSYSMAP), I re-transported the InfoObject from Dev to Q. This time the source system changed to Q automatically. But when I load data to PSA, it has errors:
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occurred
Info IDoc 1 : IDoc with errors added  (RED)
Info IDoc 2 : IDoc with errors added  (RED)
Info IDoc 3 : IDoc with errors added  (RED)
Info IDoc 4 : IDoc with errors added  (RED)
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n (Yellow)
    Can anyone help? Thanks!

    hi Qingbo,
i just remember your previous problem ... the original source system should be a free entry, no selection ...
check in monitor, menu environment, short dump, system log. trfc etc both in datawarehouse and source system, any detail message ?
    (ST22, SM21, SM37 ...)
it can be program error, what's your support package level ?
    hope this helps.

  • Psa loading

    hi,
i have loaded data into cube through psa.
    psa1->cube1
now i want to load the same data into cube2
    ie psa1->cube2
for that i went into psa
right click on that particular psa
there is a option of 'generate export data source' i clicked on it
bi this data source was generated sucessfully
    name started with 7<infosource name>
after this i created cube2 which has same structure of psa.
finally now when i create update rules
where should i give my psa data source name?
i dont have any option in update rules to give psa datasource name
i gave it in infosource it didnt work
please suggest me i will assign points

    Hi,
PSA export datasource is only for "remote" cubes.
For your problem you can try any 1 of these 2 options:
    1. Load Cube 2 from Cube1. Create export datsource on Cube 1 and load Cube 2.
    2. Create update rules for the cube 2 for the same infosource which is used for Cube 1. Now when you schedule the infopackage it would load the Cube 2 as well as Cube 1.
    Bye

  • Synchronous PSA load?

    hi friends,
what is the use for this check box, when i check this parallelism will be disable?
if run in the back ground process.

This is coming under Processing tab of the Scheduler page. we have 4 options totally
    1. PSA and then into Data targets--> means , this is  used to update data into the PSA and the data targets with a high level of performance. First it will load the data into PSA then into corresponding data targets.
    2. PSA and Data targets in Parallel --> means loading the data into PSA and paralley starts updating into the corresponding data target.
    3. Only PSA Update subsequently in Data targets is method is used to update the data into PSA, then u can load data into data targets whenever u need. Once the data has loaded into PSA, if u find any errored records then u can edit there, in the monitor screen Header tab(on the left hand side) tab u have an option whether u want to update to data targets.depends on the user requirement u should use this.
    4. finally the 4th option is Only data  targets-->it will load data straightaway to data targets.

  • PSA Loading issue

    Hi Xperts,
i have created a generic data sources by using infoset query(merge 2 data sources).
now when i want to see the data in PSA, i am not getting the data for one field say'XXX"(rest of the values are coming for all the fields)
i checked that 'XXX' field in respectiev table and in table the values are coming for this field.
but when i am checking in PSA the field is showing Blank.
i checked the data source's selection screen in RSO2.But every thing seems fine.
can any tell me why the data is not updaing to PSA?
    Regards,
    satish

    Hi Satish,
First check whether you are getting the data in RSA3 trans in R/3 side for that particular field. If you are able to see the data over there, then check in RSA6 trans that the fields in not hidden(Uncheck the Hide selection field) & then check the data in BW side in RSA1 trans.
    Hope it helps!

  • Multiple data loads in PSA with write optimized DSO objects

    Dear all,
Could someone tell me how to deal with this situation?
We are using write optimized DSO objects in our staging area. These DSO are filled with full loads from a BOB SAP environment.
The content of these DSO u2013objects are deleted before loading, but we would like to keep the data in the PSA for error tracking and solving. This also provides the opportunity to see what are the differences between two data loads.
For the normal operation the most recent package in the PSA should be loaded into these DSO-objects (as normal data staging in BW 3.5 and before) .
As far as we can see, it is not possible to load only the most recent data into the staging layer. This will cause duplicate record errors when there are more data loads in the PSA.
We all ready tried the functionality in the DTP with u201Call new records, but that only loads the oldest data package and is not processing the new PSA loads.
Does any of you have a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Harald

    Hi Ajax,
I did think about this, but it is more a work around. Call me naive but it should be working as it did in BW3.5!
The proposed solution will ask a lot of maintenance afterwards. Beside that you also get a problem with changing PSA id's after the have been changed. If you use the posibility to delete the content of a PSA table via the process chain, it will fail when the datasourcese is changed due to a newly generated PSA table ID.

    Harald

  • Load Hierarchies using PSA

    Hello,
We are trying to enable the sign reversal characteristic (0SIGNCH) for a hierarchy in order to reverse signs of certain accounts during extraction.
The documentation refers to the following prerequisites:
"...the hierarchy must have flexible hierarchy structures. This is the case when the hierarchy is loaded via the PSA and, as a result, has transfer rules."
"A hierarchy DataSource from a SAP source system must support loading by using a PSA."
How can we determine if the hierarchy datasource supports PSA loads?  Example?
Is there a way to enable PSA loads for hierarchies?
    Thanks,
    Adam
    How can we enable

    Hi Adam,
I would NOT recommend tricking the system this way. The extractor needs to deliver different packages for IDOC and PSA and is not enabled to do this.
When the PSA method for hierarchies was introduced the development decided to enable this feature for only one extractor, I think it was EC-CS items or something similar because they wanted to make use of the new feature 'Signs on Nodes'. The other extractors were not changed and up to then there were no plans to change it.
If you need this you should contact development and ask for a solution. Maybe the problems aren't critical for 0COSTELMNT and you can change it, maybe they provide a solution with remote consulting, maybe they think your reasons are valid and they provide a note.
    Best regards
       Dirk

  • How do I find contents of PSA in BI 7.0

I am using BI 7.0. How do I find contents of PSA? Only way I found:
    1.     Go to Monitor, Select the Request, Go to Detail tab, right Click to get Context Menu and select PSA maintenance. Is there a transaction code to get to PSA  or other ways of getting to PSA?
    THANKS A LOT.

    Hi Zigzagdna,
Go to RSA15-->go to your data source>right click>manage->select the request you want to see in PSA, select the psa icon in the left bottom cornerSelect ok.
Go to RSA15-->go to your data source->double click your data source-->on the application toolbar, there is an icon to switch on the technical attributes->click the icon->There will be an alphanumeric table name as PSA table->doucle click it ->On the application toolbar there is contents icon->run(after selections).
Go to infopackage monitor on the application toolbar there is PSA icon. Click it to see the contents of the PSA loaded by this request.
For you previous SQL eror while executing infopackage for loading copy cube.
Try loading data with selections in infopackage. May be you are trying to fetch more data than the ABAP program used for loading at the background can handle.
    Hope this helps,
    Best regards,
    Sunmit.

  • Error Converting Currency --  Load from SAP ECC / R/3  to BW / BI

    Hi,
I have a custom extractor pulling data from ECC.
However, I am getting the following error.
'Error Converting Currency from USD4 to  on 8/27/2008'
RSA3 works fine. PSA load fails and the above message can be seen in the application log in ECC.
    Any ideas?
    Points will be assigned.
    Thanks,
Edited by: Rajen SAP BI on Aug 29, 2008 2:23 AM

I believe in the transfer rule info object 0currency should be assigned with field from transfer structure which contains Currency . Once the assignment is done , delete data from info cube and reload the data and this time it should give
    corresponding currency along with Amount.
Once you are able to see the currencies along with amount second step would be to create Currency translation ( RRC1 ) Put description ( Fixed Currency USD )
Tab page exchange rate : Rate type M
Source currency : From Data record
    Target currency : Fixed ( USD )
Time ref. Fixed time ref. (Current datE) ( varies per scenario )
    Save it.
    Or
Use this function module for converting currency from one format to another format...
    CONVERT_TO_FOREIGN_CURRENCY...

  • PSA still not updated to target!

    Hi All,
I see some weird thing in PSA. I dont know why all PSA's since last June..still says not updated to TARGET which is still in RED request.
Whereas I can see my PSA request with RED MARK...although my data is updated in TARGET..
    Anyone has an idea why??

    Hi,
If load to data target is successful, then PSA load Status will be turned as green (tick mark) for column request updated. In some cases, if request is not updated to data target or any error in loading to data target. Then request updated column will be displayed with red exclamation mark.
Please reconcile your data target against PSA level periodic loads.
    Thanks,

  • Error when determining the PSA name

I am on BW3.5, trying to load a delta that has been loading for 2+ years with no problems.  The load today is getting the error message:  "RSAODS 132 Error when determining the PSA name"
I've looked in OSS Notes and there is nothing with this error message.  This is CCA Actual data that loads to PSA > ODS > Cube.  The PSA load is red and the entry in the ODS is also red.  Thanks

    Hello Keith,
Not sure just check following, might help.
This might be because of insufficent authorization ( did you changed anything on authorization company wide decision?)
Or this might be brcause of insufficent tablespace or something?

  • Wrong number of records in PSA compared to datasource

    Hello all,
I am seeing 760 records in my datasource on R/3 side and when I replicate it and load to PSA (load to PSA only option) I see 1640 records. I dont know why this should happen.  What are the things that I need to start checking can someone give some points. Or normally what are the things that cause this type of scenario.
    Thanks a lot,

This works something like that with the default option of Data Records/Call = 100 and Display Calls = 10, you will get some 1000 records (10010), and when you look at the list extracted, you see 10 data packets with a max of 100 records each. Though in your case I am not sure why it did not turn up the default 1000, but when you changed it to 1000 (= 100010 records), all the records were extacted and displayed.
    Hope this helps...
