PSC 1350 Paper Tray Error

My 1350 printer shows the "E" error light on starting up, i.e. printer requiring paper, although there is paper in the tray.  Of course the printer will not then work.  I have tried switching on and off, also removing the paper and re-inserting but still the light stays on.  Any suggestions ?

Hi,
Once you place the printed pages back in the input tray, try opening and closing the top cartridge access door to rsume the print job and check if that prints the other side.
Hope that helps,
Shlomi

  • Paper tray error message HP LaserJet 1102w

Recently my LaserJet 1102w stopped printing duplex; instead, after printing the first side it gives an error message :  Paper tray needs to be filled.
The paper tray is full, but I cannot get it to continue printing the other side, no matter what.  This has become a huge problem, even when printing single-sided jobs.
    Any ideas?

  • Hp psc 1350 won't scan

My hp psc 1350 all in one will not scan.  I have windows Vista 32 bit.  I tried for hours looking on here.  i can't scan from the scan button or the other ways some posts said to go to windows photo gallery and even paint.   On windows photo gallery it acted like it was scanning then when I clicked import an error message said jpg would not  allow.  it kind of worked on  paint but I could not size the  paper right and the ink looked like it  was running out but it's not.  I even uninstalled the printer and reinstalled but it changed the name of the printer to exe something.   This is my last try at finding out how to fix this.  Can anybody help?

We are going to do two thing, because you have a scanning error like that it could be one of several things. But I take it from your post that you can still print, just not scan. Is that right?
First let's run the PSDr, which might fix any small underlying issues automatically :
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03286146
Past that, we are going to run a clean uninstallation and reinstallation for the printer :
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer. As an additional note, if you do not have a USB cord for this printer i would highly recommend purchasing one. Parallel cables are notorious for having partial connections simply because of the difference in technology from when they were used and now.

Install that and let me know the result!
    Have a great day!

  • HP Photosmart 6510 gets a "Paper Mismatch" error trying to print on Avery return address labels

I just bought the HP Photosmart 6510 yesterday.  I'm trying to print out return address labels to put on my daughters birthday party invitations, but the printer gives me a "Paper Mismatch" error.  This new printer replaced an HP PSC 1350 all-in-one, which printed these labels just fine.  I am using Pages on Mac OS 10.7 with the Avery 5195 template.  The labels are on standard US Letter (8.5" x 11") paper.  I'm really not sure what the problem is.
Any help would be appreciated.  I have to get these printed out tomorrow!!!

  • How can I print from my ipad to the plain paper tray not the photo tray?

    I have a new
    HP Photosmart Plus All-in-One Printer - B209a
and an ipad on my showroom floor.
I let my customers use the ipad to browse through photos of items that are not on display, then print some of the photos. Right now the print job always goes to the photo tray - but I want it to print on plain letter size paper.  If there is no photo paper in the tray, the print job fails with an out of paper error.
Is there a way to get this printer to print photos from the ipad photos app onto the standard paper tray?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.
    Richard

Photos will always print from the photo tray, if the printer has one. This cannot be configured by the user currently.

  • Paper feed error j6480

When the printer takes paper from the tray, it crumples it up and gets jammed in the printer. I have tried two dozen times to just print the cartridge alignment page. It worked three times, but each time I got an error that the alignment didn't work. I just bought this thing yesterday and I am incredibly frustrated.
    I have:
    1. Cleaned the rollers with a slightly damp cloth towel and allowed them to dry for one hour.
    2. Made sure the paper is laying flat and is not pushed too far into the printer.
    3. Adjusted the arm in the paper tray so that it's snug against the paper but not squeezing or smashing it in any way.
    4. Unplugged and rebooted the printer (four times)
    5. Made sure the tray wasn't too full (there are about 50 sheets in it now).
I am using plain paper, HP brand. The error that comes up is "Out of paper," as opposed to "paper jam," which would be accurate. The only other function I have tried is the scanning, and it works fine. The top feeder works fine. Every single time (with three exceptions - the failed cartridge alignments) the printer takes the paper, it seems like one roller is maybe not moving as fast or as forcefully as the others. The paper gets crumpled. I pull the paper out, take the duplexer off to remove all the shreds of paper that didn't come out before, replace the duplexer, and try again. It fails. Please tell me how to fix this.

My Brother just had the same problem today and he called me. What we found after checking and comparing his printer with mine (same one J6480) that there is a box attached to the back of the printer. The two squeeze type butotns open the door so you can see the paper rollers. All looked good in there.
Then we discovered that the two white buttons on the side of the box let you take the box out, so we did and when we reinserted the box there was a definite click heard and we tried to print and all was well. Suggest you make sure that the box on the backo the printer is securely in place. Good Luck hope this helps you out.    Chip

  • HP 6525 Paper Tray

I had no problem setting up the Photosmart 6525 and it printed a test photo and worked fine for a month, but now when I keep getting a message telling me to reinsert or lower the paper tray. The photo tray is on top and the paper try on the bottom. I cannot figure out any other way to reinsert the paper trays than the way they are in right now. Now it will not print from either tray. Solution is probably simple but I can't figure it out. Help.

    @wildcatjim,
The guide is a general reference document which shows the areas to check to try and resolve the error you are receiving. Take a look on Page 37 of your User Guide, I understand you are not getting a paper jam error however the illustrations will show you the paper trays and the cleaning recommendations which may help.

  • Paper mismatch error with HP officejet pro 8000 (A809)

officejet pro 8000 A809 wireless -wrong size paper
running OSX 10.7.3 on a macbook pro 2.3GHz Intel i5
this printer has been running fine for a couple/three years now.. no problem when I got the new macbook last summer, or when i upgraded to Lion.
Now it has started getting confused as to what the paper size is - i get this error:
Paper Size Error: The paper size selected in the printer driver software does not match the paper size in the printer IN tray.
but only SOMETIMES. Like right now after screaming at it for an hour, unplugging and rebooting, etc., I sat down to write this and needed to get the exact wording for the error, so i told it to print. And it printed just fine. So I tried the next page I need to print, and I got the error again. I didn't even TOUCH the printer in between. The paper is letter size, it's always letter size. It's in landscape mode, but it has been for the whole morning, while I've been printing out certificates. Now it won't do it anymore. I am at a complete loss. I have rebooted my computer 3 times now, and unplugged the printer countless times. HELP!!!!!
It did this about 3 weeks ago and gave me fits for a couple days, and then magically started working fine again. I've deleted the USB and Bonjour versions of the printer from system prefs and re-added them. More than once. ;-)
    Any ideas?

Though a day late & dollar short, I too encountered this issue with Yosemite.
After removing the paper & restarting the printer, I determined the issue to be related to the document. The document I was printing was sent to me from an international corporation. Which I figure was using a non-US paper format or a larger page format for the document.
I tried to change those within the document & was unsuccessful.
I copied the content to a new document & it printed fine.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless second paper tray under Snow Leopard

He there, I have a strange problem with the second (extra) paper tray from the Office Jet Pro 8500. I have setup the tray and activated the option on the driver page on the computers, but no results. No paper is loaded from the tray and there is an error that no paper is loaded in the machine. The printer is connected via ethernet (and a time machine) and I am running snow leopard on all the machines that are connected to the printer. I have installed the latest drivers from Apple and from HP. I know that the paper tray is working, because when I make a copy on the machine localy and force him to use papertray number 2, then there is no problem.
Does anybody have the same problem?? Thanks

I also just tried connecting my 8500 wireless printer directly via usb and then downloading the HP printer drivers from Apple downloads and reinstalling.
The install hangs nearly forever on the final step, but eventually says the driver install was successful. However, then when connected via usb, I am unable to print. Printing works when you reconnect via the wireless on the 8500.
So connecting via usb and reinstalling HP printer drivers does not solve the issue. And it's puzzling, because the list of supported printers under Snow Leopard lists the Officejet Pro8500 Wireless as supporting both printing and scanning.
    Somebody has it wrong.
If this scanning problem continues very long, I may be forced to uninstall Snow Leopard, because my printer is brand new.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus Paper Tray Jammed crooked in printer

Paper tray is jammed crookedly in printer.  It will not come all they way out of printer and will not completely close (remains 1 1/2" Exposed.  How do I remedy?

Hello @LadyLou1, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are experiencing jam issues.  I'd like to help!
I would recommend starting by removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset on the printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest following the steps laid out in this document:

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus ...paper TRAY wont close all the way?

My Officejet Pro 8600 Plus paper tray will not return to the proper position. This has happened TWICE now, and always about 3 weeks into using it...
I returned the first printer and replaced it with the same because we love the features and ease of use. But now,  AGAIN??
I tried printing with it hanging out this time..it will print, but ....COME ON!  It makes it real hard to pull out the tray that my paper lays on after printing!
I called HP support the first time, he couldnt help me. Just said replace it.  There has to be something I can do a button or something?  I cant see it..does anyone else know?

    Zadora wrote:
Unofrtunately useless information. By trial and error I have found the only way to replace the tray is to lift the entire printer from the front at about a 20 degree angle and then the tray slides in. Very defective design. Never buy another HP.
It is possible you have a defective unit, I would suggest you Contact HP for service.
It may not be any consolation for you, but the tray works fine on my Officejet 8600 Pro Plus.
