PSC 1350 software not working - not showing up in "printers and faxes" as a choice

My mom's HP PSC 1210 won't feed the paper anymore.  After cleaning the rollers and making sure regular procedures are followed the paper just doesn't feed.  She has an older HP laptop and doesn't like change - she's 92 years old!
I belong to a computer club for over 30 years and someone gave me an HP 1350 AIO printer that makes copies so I know it's working.  I have a Dell Dimension E510 computer with XP that someone gave me as a computer I can experiment with. 
So I went to the HP site and first downloaded "HPSupportSolutionsFramework-11.51.0049" and then the HP Officejet and PSC Full Feature Software and Driver file and ran it.  Nothing seemed to happen after it "installed", no messages at all and it doesn't show up in "printers and faxes".
So then I decided to download the HP Officejet and PSC Basic Software and Driver  file and also ran it with the same result.
Where do I go now and what can I do to get the 1350 working - first on the Dell computer, then on my mother's?

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issues when attempting to get the printer installed on to your computer.
When doing the installation, do you have a USB cable connected before you run the download or after?  If you do have it connected before, the computer will not see the printer when doing the installation.
We need to remove the USB cable from both printer and computer and leave it disconnected.  Uninstall all of the software and drivers from the computer.  Once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer. 
When the computer is back on, make sure that you do not have any Firewall or Anti-Virus protection running on the computer. 
Run the Download of the Full Feature Software and Driver bundle and wait for the installation to prompt you as to when to connect the USB cable.
Let  me know how you make out with the steps I provided.

    Did you try to set it up "as new device" without using the backup afterwards? How to set up your iPhone or iPod touch as a new device
    If this does not work, get it serviced or visit your next Apple Store.

    My macbook pro 13.3 inch i7 late 2011 edition has previously encountered unresponsive trackpad and keyboard. To solve that, I used to open the back cover and then close it. It has been working fine since that. Yesterday, same thing happened, this time I noticed that bluetooth icon is showing a cross sign across it and keyboard and trackpad were unesponsive. After some time , everything worked fine and bluetooth sign was back to normal. Then , suddenly it went back to the problem. I shut it down by holding the power button. When I booted it again, I could not login because keyboard and trackpad were not working. I attached a HP mouse it didnt work. I opened the back cover disconnected the battery and then connected it again, didnt worked. Since then , I have tried many things and nothing has solved the problem.

    As you suggested I reset the smc, in the first boot nothing worked. In the second boot, it all worked like a charm. I thought that my problem is resolved now. To test it, I shut it down properly. Next morning, I powered it on, all things i.e, keyboard, trackpad, bluetooth etc. worked and I thought that problem has been solved. When I was just going to visit apple forum to reply you,  the same problem reappeared. A sawtooth cross over bluetooth icon, keyboard not working, trackpad not working,no usb mouse working which worked well when it was fine. I reset smc so many times again and again but same problem continued. Isn't it a problem of the firmware?
    Next time when it will work, I will update its firmware.
    My macbook was bought in dec2011 so no warranty now.

  • Youtube Post comment & Load more videos buttons will not work, just shows vista loading ring and does nothing

    I have been having this problem since last November.
    When attempting to post a comment on a video in youtube when I click on the post button the button turns grey and then I simply see the Vista loading ring. I can wait hours or even leave my computer over night however it never successfully posts the comment.
    I am logged in to my youtube account and was able to post comments prior to November.
    I am currently using Firefox 20.0.1, I have attempted disabling all of my add on's with no effect.
    I have an additional issue which I believe is related due to the similarities.
    When browsing youtube videos from any channel the "Load more videos" button does the same thing.
    for example the following page http://www.youtube.com/user/BdoubleO100/videos?view=0
    if I scroll to the bottom and hit load more nothing will happen, as such I cannot browse to older videos.

    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

    If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

    Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

    Yes, I believe there is an issue currently with the Facebook app connecting, I am seeing others reporting the same.

    Was it just this one time?  Could be that you, or your mom, were experiencing network problems.  Try again at a later time.

    That does sound frustrating, to not have your iPhone 4s recognized by Image Capture or iPhoto. The article linked below has a lot of great information and some troubleshooting tips that you may not have tried already, which will resolve most issues like this one.

    Hi Ciaran19,
    Are you sending files from the Adobe Send interface, Adobe Reader, or the Outlook plug-in?
    Have you checked to see whether the files that you're sending appear in the Recent Files/Sent Files list when you're logged on to https://cloud.acrobat.com? (It could be that they're uploading, but not being sent.)
    It would also be worthwhile to send the files in smaller batches, to see whether a particular file or files is problematic, and causing the error.
    Please let us know how it goes. If you're still having trouble, please let us know where you're sending from, and whether you're able to send the files in smaller batches. It would also be helpful to know the exact error message that you're receiving.

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    thanks for helping.  I have windows 7, internet explorer.  recently had to replace my hard drive, and compete reinstall of all software so still a few bugs on settings, ect.  not seeing any error messages.  video and uploading pics seemed to be fine until the last week.  not sure what could have changed .  I can still look at PDF ect, I'm not positive its the Adobe that is messed up, but the 2 things I'm having problems with, clicking on and watching video on espn.com and not uploading pics to Facebook, both just does nothing when I try them.  no errors, just black screen where its suppose to play or upload.  the trouble shooting for both sites say make sure to have the latest version of flash player, so thats why I assume something is wrong with Adobe.  when I do the self scan from this site it says I have the latest version.  my settings say the player is enabled
