Psc 2355 photo printing

I have a psc 2355 all in one printer and am having a problem printing a 4x6 photo.  I have printed photos in the past but recently purchased hp advanced photo paper and have not had any success.  The paper feeds in but stops before it reaches the cartridge.  The printer starts printing but the paper does not feed through.  Any suggestions

Hi Marleywatson,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. Another thing you could check is whether photo paper is selected in the print properties 4 x 6inch 10 x 15 cm Photo Paper Loading

  • PSC 2355-All-in-one

My All-In-One PSC 2355 stopped printing multiple copies of a page, so I decided to re-install it.  After deleting the software, I found that my old disc didn't work with Windows Vista Home.  I have re-installed the compatible drivers from the HP website and all printing seems to be working fine, but it still will print only one copy of a page. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what might have changed to cause this issue, but you may have to set the number of copies in two different locations.  First - set the number of copies when you click File and Print (which is probably what you're already doing).  Second - When you click File and Print from the app, click Properties and go into the Basics tab of the driver and set the number of copies in there as well.
Sometimes, either the driver or the app will overide one another.
    Hope that helps.

  • HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer cuts off bottoms of letters

My HP PSC 2355 All-In-One Printer cuts off the bottoms of letters. Photos are fine. 3rd HP black cartrige, got worse today.

    Hi @timed
I would like to help you with your 2355 printer. A printer reset can initiate an alignment. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems with the Diagnostic Page.
If the issue remains unresolved after following all of the steps in the link above, I recommend contacting HP.
Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
They could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
    I hope this helps.

  • Is there a Macintosh OS 8.6 or 9.0.4 printer driver for an HP PSC 2355?

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
I know this is very old {don't laugh}, but I was looking for a Macintosh OS 8.6 or 9.0.4 printer driver for my recently purchased HP PSC 2355 All-in-One printer.
I run OS X 10.5.8 on an Apple iBook G4 and also run a Mac OS 9.0.4 emulator on it called SheepShaver. Trouble is SheepShaver will only run up to Mac OS 9.0.4 and the HP PSC 2355 minimum drivers are for Mac OS 9.1.
I would love to be able to print from SheepShaver and the scanner features are unimportant to me under Mac OS 9.
Are there printing drivers (even from a different, but compatible printer) that would allow me to print from this printer under Mac OS 9.0.4?
    Thank you so much!

    Hello,
When you say you recently purchased the PSC 2355, i believe this is a very old printer.
I am not sure on how the SheepShaver works but we do have the printer driver available for 10.9 on hp.com. The first link mentioned below will take to the product page. Rest all are some of the InkJet and DeskJet drivers.

  • Printer Driver for a HP PSC 2355

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I have an iBook G4 and I also own a Windows XP Pro box that has an HP PSC 2355 connected to it. The printer works great with the Windows XP box, and I want to print to the printer with my Mac iBook G4, I want to print to it wirelessly.
I can share the printer on my network from my PC, and I can actually see it from my iBook G4, but the iBook and OS 10.4.3 do not know wha type of printer it is. When I try to say what it is, there is no option for an HP PSC 2355.
There are no PSC type printers available at all. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it possible to do, what I am trying to do, or not.
I hope I have provided enough info for the help I desire.
I have an HP PSC 2355 that is connected to my PC, and I want to print to it from my iBook G4

just so u know I was not trying to print directly to the HP PSC 2355 from my iBook G4, I wanted to print to it over the network, wirelessly. So installing the HP Printer drivers would not serve that purpose. As I tried to explain in my email.
By the way I did find a solution that has worked for me.
The solution is to go to Print & Fax in the System Preferences.
This is assuming that you have shared the printer from the PC.
Then click on the + to add a printer to the iBook G4.
Then click on the More Printers button at the bottom.
You should then ensure that you have Windows Printing selected
You should then make sure that the drop down below is Workgroup I think
Then you should select the computer that u have your printer shared from
Then you should press the Choose button.
Your shared printer should be listed there
You should then select that printer and choose HP from the Model drop down
Then under Model Name pick HP DeskJet 900 series and press the Add button
This model is not for an HP PSC 2355, but it is the appropriate driver for this
printer, if you choose this print driver, everything will work and you can
print wirelessly from your iBook G4 to a HP PSC 2355
I have tested it on several different things including just text and color
graphics as well, and it all worked beautifully, I am so happy now, that I
    figured it out.

  • Printing from a macbook pro to an HP psc 2355 printer

I need helping printing from a macbook pro to an hp psc 2355 printer. The printer is connected to a pc which runs Windows Vista. The pc is connected to a wireless router (so the PC has to be on to print). Hope this is simple!

You could start by resetting your printing system and then see if the computer sees the printer. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/14001.html
Is your wireless network protected by a password? Does it have a name?
I have a wireless HP AIO that I connect thru my wireless router. In other words the wireless router is the hub for the printer so the three notebooks and iTouch can print to it from anywhere in the area.

  • Connecting HP PSC 2355 All-in-One printer/scanner using USB cord

I have a Time Capsule that I use to back up both my Mac Mini and my MacBook Pro and would like to connect my HP PSC 2355 All-in-One Printer/Scanner to the network using USB cord and plugging it into the back of my TIme Capsule. I tried this once, but was unable to find the Printer. I would like to set it up so I could use both the Printer and the Scanner from either my MacMini or my MacBook Pro. It would be really cool if I could figure out a way to use Back to My Mac to print when I am away from home and using my MacBook Pro at a WiFi Hotspot. Is this possible? How can I do it? Suggestions? Thank you!

+would it be possible to split the USB cord coming from the Printer+
I'm afraid not. The connection must be direct to either the TC or your computer, but not both at the same time.
Apple's Printer Troubleshooting Guide will guide you through the process of setting up the printer. Unfortunately, Apple does not offer a printer compatibility list, so the only way to really know if your device is compatible is to try to see if it can be configured.
Perhaps HP would could help in this regard.

  • PSC 2355 Blue Screen of Death - Error:0x889ff020

I'd sure like to resolve this issue and get my favorite printer/scanner/copier running again.
The printer used to be attached to an HP laptop with Windows XP SP3.  I moved it over to my HP desktop Windows 7 computer to do some scanning.  It worked fine.  Then when I moved it back to the Windows XP computer, it worked fine.   The XP computer and this PSC 2355 which now has issues sat for several months without being used.  When I turned on the XP laptop and printer, the small display screen on the printer was strange and garbled looking.  I uninstalled the printer software on the XP laptop, restarted, and downloaded the appropriate drivers and software from HP.  When I installed the fresh copy of the software and followed all the installation instructions, the printer worked for awhile.  Then the next day, it went back to the garbled looking small display screen, and then it gave me the Blue Screen of Death.
I wondered if the BSOD was showing up because it's one of the printers involved in the lawsuit over the printer cartridges causing lots of pop-ups and apparently other issues.  So to "reset" the printer, I popped out the ink cartridges and reinstalled them.  That didn't work.
Can this printer be saved, or is it fit for the scrap heap?

P.S. I tried swapping out the power cord that attaches to the transformer and goes into the outlet yesterday.  The printer sat at the blue screen of death.  In frustration I left the room for about an hour, when I came back and hit the On button, the printer acted normal and worked.  I turned the power off last night with the button.
Today I went to turn it on, the swapped out power cord was still plugged into the transformer and the wall, but it doesn't work now.  The power light blinked green for a little bit, then went out.  Now the HP invent screen is displayed and the power light is off.  Hitting the power button on the printer doesn't do anything - the HP invent screen on the printer stays illuminated.  Could the problem be the power button itself?  Could the problem be the transformer and/or cable running from the transformer into the printer?  I think the problem is most likely with the power, but I'm running out of ideas.

  • Scanning in win 8.1 for HP psc 2355 all-in-one

I can't get my HP psc 2355v all-in-one to scan.  The printer tells me to install HP software for this feature when I try to start scan from the printer. I have installed the drivers multiple times and cannot find a way to execute the scan from my computer.

Welcome to the HP Community @bleubeck ,
I read about how you are having troubles with scanning to your Windows 8.1 system from your PSC 2355 printer, and I wanted to reach out. There are no drivers or software available to install with this specific printer model on Windows 8.1, as the model is older and OS is newer. I would think that your best bet would be to try running the Print and Scan Doctor to see if the diagnostic tool can detect the printer and scan. If this does not work, you can also try scanning from Microsoft Paint as a work around option.
If all else fails, you can contact HP directly and discuss your printer options to upgrade to a new printer compatible with Windows 8.1.

Hi. I have an HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer that has worked well for a long time but when i switched it on today to do some printing, it made some strange noises and when i tried to print it sent an error saying there was a paper jam - but there was not !

  • HP PSC 2355 Has anyone found a solution that worked ?

Re: HP PSC 2355 all in one
Has anyone found a solution that worked?
This printer used to work fine with Tiger – after a lot of headaches setting it up. Seemingly, after downloading a latest 10.4 up-grade, I lost all functions with this 3 in 1 printer. I’ve done all the procedures on the HP site, purged everything HP on my computer relating to applications, and re-installed the software. However, the printer does not show up on the ‘Printer List’ in the ‘Printer Setup Utility. Error message stating that ‘No default Device Detected’ or, Error ‘Sorry, scanner could not be initialized. (Scanner not found.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank-you,
