PSC 2410 Photosmart - Scanner Drivers not installing

PSC 2410 Photosmart All-In-One Scanner Printer
installing on Windows XP
After the HP driver sofware is run (gc_w01_ENU_NB.exe), The scanner shows this message when I attempt to use it, "Scan Options are not set. Install or run the device software on computer."
The printer works fine so it appears that part of the installation was complete. Can someone please help me get my computer to install the full driver package?

Run the HP solution center on the computer, and scan from the computer. If you want use the scan button on the printer to scan, set up "scan to" destinations on hp solution center. This error message basically says you have not set up the scan button options yet.

Windows Vista Home Premium. -- I recently move my Photosmart D7560 printer to a different computer. I need to install Photosmart Essentials to allow me to print to a printable CD. I downloaded the latest drivers for the full featured installation of the D7560, but the Photosmart Essentials will not install. Photosmart C7250 will not install with Windows 7

I have bought a new computer wth Windows 7. My Photosmart C7250 will not install on this operating system wirelessly or by USB. The driver will install so that I can print only when I plug it in, but I cannot achieve full functionality. When I try to install it over the wireless network,, it gives me a fatal error (code 14116417). The printer does connect to the wireless network, though. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, and have run out of options. Any ideas, besides buying new??? I really like this printer!!! And thank you in advance!

I is likely not your printer. Here are a couple of things to check:
1. Disable your security system's firewall.
2. Reboot your router and try again.
Tell me about your network - router brand/model, encryption type (WEP, WPA, etc) and ISP type (DSL, Cable, etc).

PC suite - Cable drivers not installed???

After installing the PC suite VER 6.82.22.0, though PC recognizes N70 phone, the PC suite does not get connected. When clicked 'About PC suite' and 'system info', message cable drivers not installed is found. However, if checked in the control panel, the drivers are found installed. The earlier version did not have any problems. Can any body solve this.

HP 5610xi "drivers not installed"

Computer says itunes drivers not installed?

computer doesnt recognize ipods. tried to update itunes and it shut my computer down and blew out all my ports. had computer repaired, seems that update worked but cant plug in ipods to sync music and the box comes up saying the itunes drivers not installed. how do i install them? im a little hesitant to download itunes again after what happened last time, so just wanted some advice.

No, you will not lose your library. The actual installation and where your files are stored are in separate locations. When you uninstall, you are only uninstalling the program, and therefore, your library will not be affected.
Only thing to note is if you changed the location of your itunes library, you will have to tell itunes where you keep your library, so itunes can load it from there.

Lets see if a reset will rectify the issue: While printer is powered ON, pull the power cord from the printer then from the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to wall and printer (eliminate any power strip until we have identified it is not part of the problem). This will restore the printer to a known good condition (if it is possible). Let us know if it helps.

Latest Vista 64 bit drivers not install

It don't matter what I do, I cannot get the "SBXF_PCDVTBETA_L3_2_0_0000" drivers working with my X-fi Fatality sound card.
Things I have done:
Turned off the signiture thingy as per the read-me (both at start-up and premient way)
Turned off windows firewall
Turned off Windows Defender
No Antivirus/Firewall/Spyware/Adware protection
Run the file as a normal user and right clicked and selected "run as administrator".
Made sure no previous sound drivers were installed.
As soon as it gets to the "Updating the windows files", I get another box come up:
Creative Device Driver Installation has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avalible.
The only button I have is, close program, I click that and it goes to the audio console. At that stage I cancel the installation because ther sound apps dont work without the sound driver.
So I am left with a very muted PC.
My PC Specs:
Windows Vista Beta 2 5384
AMD Athlon 4000 2.4 Ghz
Asus Geforce 7800GT
2GB of RAM
Proacti've Asus A8n-Sli Deluxe Motherboard

Boot Camp will not support Vista on newer iMacs, you will need to upgrade to Windows 7. Also as an FYI there is a Boot Camp forum, you can locate it by clicking Apple Support Communities and then in the search field type Boot Camp.

I'm a bit surprised that the only supported Linux distros are commercial (costing money) distros!
What's the point in providing Linux support for your tools then. The overwhelming majority of Linux users use free distros like Mint, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora etc.
I had exactly the same problem and now I'm forced to BUY a Linux distro in order to build PetaLinux?
Anyway, a) are there any plans to support these tools on the more popular (free) distros? and b) Does anyone know if we can use CentOS 6, since that's supposed to be a community (free) clone of the supported (but not free) RHEL 6 distro?
Anyone know of an 'unsuported' Linux distro that 'works' anyway (especially for the cable drivers)?
It LOOKS as if that one cable driver install issue is the only thing preventing us from using a boat load of other distros. Can't this be fixed?

Device drivers not installing

GOt a palm pilot tx, need to put a kaba access control system on it. Tried win 7 64 bit computer, vista 32 bit computer, xp 32 bit computer and win 2000 computer. drivers will not install with plug and play nor with installation cd. I can't find anything online, as I am the only IT guy and I have many projects on the go right now. Any help would be appreciated.

PalmOS devices do not use "plug and play" to install software. They use a software program called "Quick Install" to install apps. Install Palm Desktop on the 32bit XP computer, then try the installation disk.
Echoing what smkranz said, are you sure you're trying to install a PalmOS program?

CD drivers not installed on PSE 5

I'm using ver 5 on a new machine (Vista 64 bit) and things are going fine with the program.
Except, when I want to burn a disc. I get the message: The CD device driver is not installed. Please reinstall Photoshop Elements.
I did. Still the same result and the same message.
Is this link the solution to this problem?

Did you try burning a CD with a software other than Photoshop Elements, Something like Nero? Are you able to burn your discs through that?

Software and drivers for photosmart c309g will not install under windows 7

hi
im trying to reinstall the photosmart c309g all in one printer, after i fitted a new HD im now running windows 7 32 bit, i downloaded both the basic and advanced instillation files, they both extract then disappear.
i have tried to do a level3 uninstall, but that does not seen to work properly with the printer model or os.
i have also cleaned out the system 32 /local/spool files (but it would not let me do all of them)
ive also searched this forum for solutions.......what is going on

I see that you are having issues installing the printer. After extracting the downloaded drivers, they disappear. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Something is preventing the setup program from recognizing files from this download.
I will provide you with some steps for editing the registry to resolve this issue in a Private Message.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
Before doing any of the steps, back up the registry first. Back up the registry.

Photosmart 7760 drivers not visible after manual install, blocking network access

Hello --
I have an HP Photosmart 7760 installed and working on a Mac Mini connected to a wired ethernet LAN. The printer has been configured to be shared by the Mac and I am able to print to it from other Macs. However, I am unable to install this shared network printer on Windows XP despite being otherwise able to connect to the Mac Mini from the XP machine.
When going through the Add Printer wizard on XP, I am able to browse to and see the printer on the Mini. After double-clicking the printer, I get:
You are about to connect to a printer on MINI, which will automatically install a print driver on your machine. Printer drivers may contain viruses or scripts that can be harmful to your computer. It is important to be certain that the computer sharing this printer is trustworthy. Would you like to continue?
I click Yes and then get:
The server for the printer does not have the correct printer driver installed. If you want to search for the proper driver, click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or original equipment manufacturer for the correct printer driver.
I then click OK and browse through the list of printer manufacturers to HP, but don't see any Photosmart printers in the printer list (lots of Deskjets, Paintjets, Officejets, etc).
I have downloaded and installed the XP drivers by hand, (HP Photosmart Printer Software and Driver version 5.3 from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=305375.) However, I still am not able to see the appropriate driver
My questions:
1. Is there an alternate way to install these drivers (e.g. via the Have Disk button) such that they will appear in the above printer list?
2. If not, is there an alternate printer I can use that will work from XP with a network-attached 7760?
3. Barring the above, are there any other things anyone can recommend I try in order to resolve this?

Hello thecousin,
you have tried a lot of things and if you are sure that the problem is not hardware (sometimes even when the lights are blinking there might be a problem with the hardware itself) i recommend you to do the following:
1. Try to reinstall the network driver (download new/latest one from Lenovo.com) and see if this could help.
2. Try to think of any software you have installed prior to the problems... some software might be affecting your network settings/connections
3. Sometimes i have seen problems with the windows "services" so you might have a look there (it is in the control panel/administrative tools/services) and see what is started and what isn't
4. Well the last one would be to reinstall the OS

HP PSC 2410 Photosmart All-in-One Printer install no internet

Hi, I'm trying to install this printer for my grandfather (without the cd). My grandfathers computer is not connected to the internet so the standard advisor program will not be able to download anything. It appears there is no standalone driver I can download and bring to him. I've downloaded the windows xp/2000 driver, but some reviews online make it seem like that won't work.
How can I install drivers for this printer without an internet connection?

Welcome to the HP Forums.
Just so you know, HP does not have a full feature software and driver package available for this printer. You could however try the Deskjet 960c driver that is located in the add a printer folder.
